1. Periodically clear your cache! This should be done at least once per day!!!
How to clear your cache in Internet Explorer
How to clear your cache in Firefox
Also run this program now and then for a deep cache clear CCleaner
2. Close your PDA when you don't need it.
3. Turn graphics down to Medium or Low on laggy days.
4. close and reopen your entire browser at the beginning of long missions!
5. (posted by i_m_losing in another thread) idk if people use firefox but it's an add-on to it. Umm it's called Adblock Plus I then copy and paste things i want to block from here http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/zomg-gaia-s-mmo/use-adblock-to-make-zomg-less-laggy-updated-w-drops/t.44888529/

with that program i'm using i couldn't see people who used defeb, fire rain dervish sweatdrop you can turn it off too i'm proud i can skip the opening movie with this though =) i also sometimes can't see avies which helps i think xD
sometimes lag comes from the internet itself. At home i steal internetz so it's slow and i have to restart the game alot. In school only once or twice xD and idk if you know this but depending on how long you play, the computer's performance slows as it gets hot. I use an ice pack on my desktop and under the fan on my laptop. It's uneven to look at but it works for my laptop xD

If you have any Torrents going, kill all of them, it makes a huge difference when in comes to lag, and timeouts.
If you use a faster computer, with a lot of memory, you will have far less lag.

I have not had any problems with lag recently...until last night. For some reason it is getting worse, and not just for me. I am not sure if it was just shallow seas or all over as I was farming ss with a crew. Closing pda and setting the options to graphics low, turning off the music and using ccleaner did not help this time. Or not much anyway. Perhaps with the next maintenance we will see an improvement. 3nodding

darkjedi8 I have noticed how lags occur in zOMG, as we all know, lags are getting worse and it is happening mostly on these terms: too many people in one spot, night time in real life starting at 7 PST (Future editing for other time zones), and too many buffs activated at the same time. I will update this list for information concerning these issues. I will also add other helpful information.

I need to try Adblock Plus and another Firefox add-on, but I have to find out how to set the toggles. The first time I installled them, it just slowed me down, since I didn't know how to tell the programs what to filter.
