WARNING! THIS IS A PIECE OF MY LIFE, MY PAST AND PRESENT, THAT I SELDOM DISCLOSE TO OTHERS FOR OBVIOUS REASONS, SO PLEASE KEEP AN OPEN MIND AS YOU READ THIS! IF YOUR MIND IS CLOSED, OR YOU ARE ONE TO DISPUTE DIFFERENCES IN BELIEFS, YOU MAY NOT WISH TO READ THIS!

Throughout my life, I have always known I had gifts, and talents.. Abilities, for lack of more appropriate wording. In my family history, there has been a mix of religious beliefs and practices: Catholicism, Christianity, Agnosticism, Lutheran Baptism, and others. The one that has been least spoken of but always known and acknowledged in the bloodline, is Paganism..

To present date, the members of my bloodline that practice under the Pagan beliefs all are of the Wiccan basis. Some practice religiously, some privately, some in their own design. This inherited trait runs through one strand of my family tree, and goes well into the past of which we cannot trace beyond a point. It seems to jump around in the bloodline with one female and one male each generation, as in present, my sister Mari and I have this dominant trait, where as Mari's fraternal twin Jeremy does not. Before us in the family is my Aunt Toni and my father (who never truely opened his mind to it, and is presently a Spiritualist who practices in Solitude), but not my Uncle Mike. Before them was my Grandmother Jean, and her brother George, but not any of their other siblings. Moving further in the past, the trait takes a darker turn, as the ancestors in our family tree had to a point been practicing Dark (Black) Magicks.

Of the many "abilities" that were passed through this bloodline were the very things that have made me the person I am now. The two which pertain to the story of the History of the Guardians of Myhrr are Visions, and Spiritual (Astral) Projection.

From the time that I was young, I would dream that I was outside my body, floating like a spectre above myself. As time passed and I grew older, my control of this expanded until I was able to travel outside of the house, and later into places one could not put words to the sight of.

This ability awakened at a point where it occured during waking hours, first without my control, then with learning to a controlled effort. It also awakened my ability to transfer myself into someone elses mind, to see their past, present, and sometimes future (I have done well to avoid the latter.. No one has a right to see what has not happened yet, because we are not meant to see such things.. I learned that the hard way..).

Getting back to the point, I began travelling in my astral form to a place that is difficult to describe.. It was one of the many layers of Existance unseen and unreachable by our physical embodiments, yet accessible by our spiritual forms, known as an Astral Plain. The one I was drawn to, that I found myself at, was composed of individual layers that overlapped one another, spread out over a long distance in the space of the universe.

Each of the 3 overlapping layers in this particular collection were known as Gateways. The largest was the Outer Gate, and was a first line of protection for everything contained within. The middle layer was the Inner Gate, the second line of defense for everything that it contained. The smallest of the three layers was the Centeral Gate, which contained a Black Void otherwise best dubbed the Doorway of Time. Through this portal contained the What Was, What Is, and What Will Be of Existence itself..

Combined, these layers were known as the Gateways of Myhrr, and as a whole, this Astral Plain was referred to as the Realm of Myhrr

Within each of these individual Gateways were stationed different varieties of Sentries of astral beings across broad expanses of area. Each being was perceived in a different manner and form, yet all carried the same purpose and mission of protecting and guarding the Gateways, and ultimately, defending the Doorway of Time.

What would such a place need defending from? As there are equal energies in this Universe that balance one another out, so there are beings of equal alignments. What does not seek to protect seeks to destroy..

These darker forces were a constant threat for the Myhrrian Realm, with no other intention or desire but to disrupt the balance of existance and wipe out any kind of purity that countered their darkness.

When I first happened across this place, as an unknown entity, even I was rejected from entry and cast back into myself. Many nights and days passed, where time and again I found myself returned to the Outer Gate, seeking sanctuary from the entities that were being prevented access to the Void.

In one occasion, the Dark entities pressed the line of defense to gain entry through the Outer Gate, and it's Guardian was nearly defeated. My own energy drew me to try and assist the Guardian, and further ensue the battle to protect against the surge. When the antagonizing forces abandoned their assault, I was finally granted access into the Myhrrian Realm. Many visits with further participation against the attempted invaders later (one occasion during which second Gateway's Guardian was destroyed), I found myself in my true Astral Form, and asked to take the station of the Guardian of the Inner Gate.

This is how I became a Defender and a Guardian of the Myhrrian Realm. Through the years, I had become quite comfortable in this place, until the End of Time came to be in Myhrr. There was a fierce battle, in which the Dark Entities overwhelmed the Defenders of Myhrr and swarmed the Astral Layers in a massive surge of destruction, forcing the Guardians of the Three Gateways to retreat to the Door of Time (as it was required for the three Guardians combined to seal the Portal closed in a Final line of defense). When the door was sealed, I watched as the remaining two Guardians gave in to their own annihilation to send me back from whence I came..

I have only returned myself to that place once after that time, and have stopped projecting my astral form since, due to the destruction and carnage I saw that remained. Despite this, I was relieved to find the Doorway was not breached, and was reassured with certainty that it never would be..

The motto this Clan, named after the Defenders who protected this Spiritual Domain, is derived from the Motto of those very Defenders.

Our Motto:

"A Clan for those who have none.. A Guardian for those who need one.. A place to rest when the battle is about.. Where protection will be provided, so your life does not get ripped out.."

Guardians of the Myhrrian Realm Motto:

"A Realm that Prospers from the Light.. Protected from the Darkest Frights.. Guardians are we whom defend this place.. Providing protection for all Time and Space.."

Our purpose in this Clan is to help those in need, and protect them from the animated that are stronger than them, whether it be with healing, defibbing, helping defend while travelling from location to location in the game, and even helping them understand what they do not with each area. This is not far off from what the Guardians and Defenders of the Myhrrian Realm did for one another, and ultimately for all of existance.

The beings of the Myhrrian Realm supported one another, defended one another, took care of one another, and protected what they had. These are the qualities I looked for with the in-game actions of the players as I quested with them, when I asked the first few to join this Clan. These are the qualities that have caused many of our members to be invited to join our cause.. Either the need of assistance, or the assisting qualities they displayed.

So concludes.. The History of the Guardians of Myhrr..

I am curious to know the reactions people have after reading "The History of the Guardians of Myhrr". As I have always been one with an open mind, please feel free to post feedback here. Whether you believe it, or do not believe it.. If it gives you a better understanding of what inspired me to create this Clan as I have, or if you feel it is a creation of my imagination.. Be open, honest, and direct with me. What are your thoughts?

Hmm.. Well I tend to be fairly reserved about making judgments about beliefs and spiritual things. Since there is no way of proving any of it absolutely real, or absolutely NOT real, I think it's best to take everything as a possibility and to respect people's beliefs for what they are.

As for your story.. it's definitely far more than I thought was behind the clan name and it's a good story! I certainly don't disbelieve you. Although I will probably never know if your experiences are vivid dreams, or something more, I don't know that it really matters. They're important to you, and I respect that.

Thank you for sharing!

Wow that was really cool! I wish I could see or imagine even just a fraction of what you saw there, I always find the "supernatural/not of this world" (for lack of a better word) very fascinating. But since I have studied psychology, there is always this nagging voice in me which doubts everything about it. =

There was a time where I had sleep paralysis almost every night (which was said to be the first stage of an out of body experience) but never did manage to get my spirit out of my body because I always stop it at the first stage (out of the paralysis as fast as I could, because it freaked me out). All the other things I've read explained that it was merely psychological, where your brain is awake but your body is asleep... but since my spirit hasn't actually floated out of my body yet, the scientific explanations make some sense although some parts are a bit off or not exactly the same as what I experienced.

What if it's not real? But what if it is? But what if it's not? It just goes on and on... since there really is no better answer for it than first-hand experience, which not everyone gets... so it's really hard to prove/disprove anything unless you've experienced it yourself.

But anyway I sort of knew that this clan was very different from the others, I hesitated on joining any clans because like the guilds I've joined I never really was all that active because there wasn't really anything about it that clung to me, however, there was something about this clan that made me actually join and I think I'll be active here. I even checked out a couple of clans before actually joining here so this was not one of those "just so I can join a clan" type of thing.

I am open to your beliefs although I do not fully understand it that well, I actually want to be able to have an understanding of all kinds of religion because it interests me very much and I am open to all of them. I think religions are there to help people become better human beings. (well, the good kinds anyway, not those cult-types that aim to harm other living things)

WOOH I sure do talk a lot. XD

That's really neat! ^_^ I wish I had abilities like that... alas mine are confined to the production of literature describing such abilities
