Physical Description: Thin and frail, Akemi doesn't bring much to the table in a fight. She is limber though, and very flexible. Atop her head is a perfect cascade of straight blond hair with the bangs cut out to reveal her faded amber eyes.
Personality: Akemi desires to be strong. Strong physically, mentally, and emotionally. She is a team player and focuses on her allies more than anything. Akemi is very high energy and loves to work out and train non-stop, but she takes her training sessions and turns them into games.
Akemi also likes to eat, a lot. Her high riatsu level demands that she eats a lot to keep from depleting it 100%
Zanpakutou: Mugen (Infinity)
Zanpakutou Spirit: Kaku is just chock full of wisdom. He is to smart for his own good and constantly speaks to Akemi in riddles.
Inner World:
Sealed Form: Mugen's sealed form is a square headed blade that is sharpened on both sides, its guard is merely a metal ball, and its hilt is adorned with metal rings that secure a loop of ribbon. the base of the hilt is rounded.
The sheath is chainmail coated with purple and black fur that has a zipper along the side to keep it secure. The entire thing has a strap to sling it over her shoulder.
(Not obtained yet) Shikai Name/Release Phrase: Full Release: "A path of destiny winds ahead. A snake bites its tail. For better or worse we will look at all options. Mugen."
Partial (Weapon) release phrase: "Fire a shot into the infinite void, Mugen!" Gives her the weapon, but not the ring.
Partial (Ring) release phrase: "Satisfy your endless hunger! Mugen." (For food jokes.)
Shikai Description: When released, the rings on the hilt expand and form a cocoon around the blade, squeezing the shikai's bladed gun from one end and then turning the entire cocoon into the ring.
Shikai Powers/Attacks: The actual weapon of her shikai is a pistol with a blade adjoined to it. It fires concentrated riatsu beams, but overheats quickly, as well as depletes her own riatsu.
The main feature is the ring though. When fully released a giant ring floats before Kim. It is split into two halves, orange and blue. Certain attributes can be increased or decreased by a factor of three. While the possibilities are endless according to the swords spirit, this is only true if the sword has approved of the command. It takes three post to learn a new command, and the spirit refuses to waste its time to teach a single command. The ring can expand out to three feet or shrink down to an inch.
Thus far the known commands are:
Size: Increases or decreases the size of of the object passing through by a factor of three. This can be applied to cero, weapons, and kido. This merely alters the size of the object in question, but its power remains the same. In other words, a decreased cero still packs the same punch, but is concentrated into a thinner beam with the same power. Likewise increasing the size of the beam means that the same amount of power is spread over a wider area.
Density: Increasing makes the object harder and more durable, decreasing it makes an object easier to cut, or sometimes even ethereal.
Weight: Self explanatory, triples or thirds the weight of a solid object passing through it.

Power: Increasing the actual force behind an object, or sometimes decreases its impact upon the body.
Speed: Increases or decreases the velocity of an object.
Age: Can renew or age inanimate objects.
Jokes: There are other unlocked commands, including Spiciness, Sweetness, Sourness, Saltiness, Bitterness, Savoriness, Fattiness. These are all used as jokes outside of combat though.
(Not obtained yet) Bankai Name: Karuma Eien (Karma Eternity)
Bankai Description: Retains all shikai abilities, except the ring can now expand to six feet and all things are increased by a factor of five. Also she now holds two bladed pistols.
Bankai Powers/Attacks: Same as before, with one new command.
Split: The ring divides into five rings. The factor of increment returns to three and the rings can only expand to a foot and a half now. Four of the rings secure themselves around Akemi's limbs and make her thee times stronger and faster than she was already in bankai form. Unfortunately her body wears down faster and her riatsu begins to leak more because she is using more. This form can only be supported for ten post before permanent paralysis kicks in and if unattended to, death.
Special Accessories: Her sheath was made for her by her soul family.

Biography/History: Akemi died of SIDS almost immediately after birth. She awoke in the Sereitei in the care of a soul family in the 37th Rukongai. She grew up like any other kid, except she was always weak. And in her weakness her spiritual pressure rose. Eventually she was recruited into the sereitei. With her youthful body and spirit she bounded through the academy, focusing on the areas that most people were weak in, riatsu control and kido became her friends. When she got her zanpakuto she returned to her soul family and was blessed with the gift of her sheath, which was originally intended to be a tote bag.
In her time at the academy her blond hair had turned white from the constant flow of riatsu from her body. It was a strange case, though according to her teachers it was not unheard of for people to develop white hair in the afterlife.
When the time care to choose a squad the choices naturally meandered between squads four and five, but after a talk with a non-shinigami friend about where she wanted to be and why it became obvious that squad five was the answer. Our story begins here, with Akemi riving to meet her captain for the first time and finally join a squad. She is eager to train and eager to learn so that she may become a better shinigami.
