The sun rising over the rocky horizon was what woke Rikuh, bright and early as always. He blinked open his large, gray eyes, tired as ever. He parted his small jaws in a huge yawn, a squeek emitting from his mouth as he did so. Rikuh glanced about before finally deciding to get up; make his move. He stood up and stretched, arching his back in the slightest way just as a cat does.
Rikuh then sat, still wary about fully getting up, and watched the sun continue to rise. It illuminated the world, filling the skies with many different colors. Yellow, orange, blue, pink, purple... he smiled, in a serene way. He was at peace here, with nature. And it felt good.
But then, the sun stopped rising. Or so it seemed. It was still climbing it's way up the sky, but it was going slower now, it's movement less visible. Rikuh sighed and stood, looking around and trying to decide which way to go. When he decided on a direction, he started forward.
Thud.
It didn't take much to trigger Rikuh's clumsiness, so when his back foot hit a small pebble, he tripped and fell, landing with a thud on the grassy ground. "Ouch," he murmured, not too surprised at just what happened. It was all too normal for him; Rikuh. Hopefully that would change.
