Lay this flesh to wasteBlack mist crept around her paws and through her hair as she fluttered her raven wings. The faint breeze she kicked up sent the mist about her spiraling and dissipating, but more followed. Many smells surrounded her, and each whiff seemed to be different. It was not overpowering or unpleasant, but merely that of many different incenses. She yawned, peering around groggily. The sky was dark and she had just awoken. The woods she slept in were overcast and gray, obscured in the black and gray mists that permeated the air. The sun had yet to rise above the horizon. Salvia smiled. ((ooc: be gentle, this is my first ulaya rp)) Let the pieces fall where they may

 Selia was dozing quietly dreaming lightly of the inconstant moon which changes its shape much too frequently. Her lids fluttered lightly until she finally woke to the gentle touch of daybreak yet not quite. Vaguely she wondered where she was and what would be in store for these few days she was out of the grasp of the island haven that made her dreams reality. At the same time, her heavy heart felt no desire to find out. She stood and noticed a strange yet beautiful figure beyond the sight of her hazy eyes. Who is that? She wondered with vibrant curiosity. (ooc: this is also my first Ulaya RP =])

Salvia stretched and fluttered her wings. She sensed another near and moved to investigate. The mist followed her as she floated, her paws mere inches from the ground. She spotted easily another ulaya, despite its dark fur. It stood out to her in the near-day because of its luminous spots. Salvia smiled as she reached the female. "Greetings, and welcome." Her voice was soft and had an ethereal quality, much like the rest of her. Her eye lids were low over her eyes, but it was clear that it in no way impeded her vision. She seemed deep in thought, yet payed rapt attention to the ulaya before her at the same time. A warmth radiated from her that washed over the other female along with the myriad other scents that mingled in the mists around the goddess.

Among the leaf litter a small disturbance, the black cub had escaped her father for a moment, she treasured the time alone, she stared in awe at the red orbs which stared at her from the darkness. "Creatures of the night, now you see me as no threat. My my flesh shall grow and then i shall be the one to stare at you." Wit a wicked hiss she dismissed the pondering eyes. She stared around and lifted her nose. "Someone is close..." She sensed other ulaya, lifting her mighty horns she prepared to be attacked by a over zealous individual.

Selia lifted her hazy blue eyes to catch a clear glimpse of the sight before her. Indeed, it was a sight to behold. There would be no question in any ulaya's mind that this was indeed a goddess of some sort from the way the ethereal voice lingered in Selia's mind to the way Salvia had that unnatural (but beautiful) mist lingering about her figure. Selia dipped her dark head and smiled lightl in return. Her voice was please and light. "Good day to you. I am Selia, a Vrairève. It is an honor."
As her words faded, Selia's attention was directed towards something beyond her senses. She glanced around warily while standing up, atterting herself more.

Salvia nodded politely, swirling the mists around her. She allowed her feet to meet the ground to stand more level-eyed with the other ulaya. She was still taller, but wished to show her respect for all life with this gesture. "My name is Salvia, and I am the Goddess of Incense." She briefly smiled, then her ears perked up slightly. She heard something rustling in the leaves. The scent wafted to her in the breeze and she could tell it was a young ulaya. The scented mists that surrounded her seemed not to impede her senses, as it might other ulaya. "There is another near." Her ethereal voice gave no sign of alarm. She was a goddess after all, what trouble could a cub be? "She we go to great it?"

The cub smirked as she heard faint voices, both female from what she determined. 'If only Papa were here...' she thought as her nerves began to kick in. She had herd stories of vicious Ulaya with intent only to kill others. "Get back, i wont hesistate to fight back!" She bared her teeth and lowered her head, as if she'd ram the other Ulaya.

A light laughter filled the air, borne on the mists that permeated everything. It was not mocking laughter, but held a tome of peaceful amusement. Salvia rose out of the mists before the cub like a ghost rising from the grave. She fluttered her wings, sending the black and gray mists spiraling around and around. They settled as she did. "Young one, I mean you no harm. Why are you out here all alone?"

The took a step back. "I-i-i..." she studerred as she watched the ulaya , her beautiful was almost disgusting. "I snuck away from my father." She chuckled. "Knowing him he'll come soon to come ' retrieve' me." She held a mischivous (sp?) smirk as she looked up at the Ulaya. "Sooo...." she said with a light curiousity. " who are you?"

Selia fluttered over shortly after and perked her ears in curiosity when she heard Salivia's tender laughter. Curiously, she inched forwards to catch a glimpse of the young cub. "Oh?" Selia grinned. "what an intimadating little ulaya we've come across." It was difficult to make out wether or not she was joking and her passive facial expression offered no hints. She offered a blank but somewhat reassuring (or it was intended to be) smile.

"It would do you well to stay with your father, young one." Her tone was ethereal as always and was not meant to scold, but to advise, as there were dangers in the world for solitary cubs. "As for who I am, my name is Salvia and I am a goddess." She bowed her head slightly, the scented mists swirling around her like a halo. She turned to Selia. "Yes, a most amusing looking child I must say, and fierce looking to be sure." She shook her hair, blackening the air around the trio and filling the air with the scent of roses. The mists settled, and Salvia again turned towards the cub. "You still have not answered my question. At least, not thoroughly you haven't. Why have you fled your father's presence?"

Hanabi blinked and began to think ' If i tell her the truth the goddess shall shun my actions.' she thought to herself. "I needed some alone time, some girl time you could say. I have no mother and my father has no lover, infact he is homosexual. But before you ask , I do not know how i came to be in this world." She shook off a pesky bug and introduced herself properly. "I am Hanabi."

Salvia pondered the curious cub for a moment, her thoughts veiled. The mists wound themselves around her flowing robes and hair and touched upon the cub's paws. Salvia floated there, resting only her hind paws on the ground-but only just barely. She tilted her head to the side finally and breathed deeply. "Young Hanabi... you strike me as a most naughty child. Your independence is to be commended, however." She began circling the cub curiously, inspecting her from head to tail. "I still believe you are found here for another reason, but that is your business. I shall leave it at that."

"I am Selia" She nodded lightly to the cub since she felt that it was expected. Her attention was turned to Salvia, silently agreeing with the goddess's opinion. "Hanabi, are you enjoying your independence?"

Hanabi bowed her head toward Selia. Then she puffed out her chest and smiled. "The creatures of the night do not scare me, nor do they fear me. It is most enjoying to be alone in the darkness." She nodded a few times while straying her eyes elsewhere.
