I totally vote random mini--I think once they've decided to eat one it any others about better RUN before they nab it too.
I can see Snack saying the line if needed, that way we don't have too many characters running about.
And timeer wins the brilliant award for saving poor messenger owl!Ane's sanity! heart

If timeer wants to play the doomed random mini, I could have Ritz (my pixie) flip out and high-tailing it out of there when she realizes that she's about to be eaten and abandon the other one with the ferals (mayhaps the two minis could be fighting over their love interest... or just both be equally infatuated with him at the beginning? xD)
Also, if we need something to combust, maybe I can get Finch to be coming back from have stealing a lighter from the ranger's office and starts messing around with it...? >O>
Unless you guys have something else in mind for a random fire xD

That could work. I like the idea of two minis fighting over their love interest. And then one having the sense to hightail it out of there when eating becomes un-sarcastic.
While that could work, in one of the team role-plays I read, one of the otters started a fire with a lighter. And the challenge isn't really starting so much as catching something on fire. So maybe they wander by a "doused" campfire started by some trespassing brats and toss something on it that makes it light up again? (Can of compressed air! XD) And then the mini itself could catch on fire--if they opted to roast it. I dunno. Foxx's idea of Finch with a lighter might be better (and probably a heck of a lot scarier).

sorry for not responding earlier guys. i was sick yesterday and found out that a good friend of mine from college died in a dirt bike accident, so i wasn't really in an rp mood...
i'll be back on tomorrow night and will look over everything. i just felt bad for holding things up and wanted you two to know why.

thanks ane. it's especially hard because a few weeks ago, a friend from my old job at the theater died in a crash while doing a racecar experience. so this was just....eurgh.

Yeah, one of the crushing minis is probably the best bet for a start. That or Breakfast lamenting about the crushing minis.

i can play the doomed mini. and i like the idea of a campfire re-lighting (if only to differ from the other group who used a lighter). 3nodding
after some more thought...is the mini getting burned and eaten something we need to run by lumi first? i know it's not someone's existing character, but i can see how something sentient getting eaten by existing characters might cross an rp line. then again, there aren't any main thread rules either way...

I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to run it by Lumi just to double-check. I don't see why it wouldn't be all right but if you want to check (or want one of us to check), we can definitely send her a PM.
And it occurred to me last night that with the eating of a mini, we should somehow use the common saying "The way to his heart is through his stomach" in the title. XD

I'm sure it'd be fine. People have often made up jon doe/prey-characters before just to arouse temporary empathy, but mainly focusing on the fact that their own character has eaten it.
'Sides, other players (even pets from other shops) are allowed into this event, or so I believe Lumi said. So it should be alright, even if it's for the time-being xD;
