Heh, I am ready to live alone the rest of my life as far as family is concerned.
General human nature as you may see it turning on the news or sitting on a street curb and watching various deals, crimes, and wrongs human vs. human take place, is generally flawed, scary, ignorant. Looking throughout history shows many atrocities human against human, some say could have been caused by someone with no heart or humanity. Those are some of the people that are known and remembered, the ones that seem to not be human. Ambition sounds human.

Careful, or you will lose the meaning of the metaphor. the knight is an independant variable. He is the only peice that can jump over other pieces. The rock or bishop is the sniper.

But since the knight is really independent, he wonders what he is even doing in a chess game, and knows that anything done in the game will only affect him as would a dream. His only real worry is that he's wondering where the lifeless wooden piece that he was switched with is.

Anyway, there are certainly some attributes of some humans that are attainable outside of (mainstream) human nature. Human nature, in my view, is not necessarily evil, but would more appropriately be described as wasteful. Most humans do not come close in living up to their full potential. I for one, intend to.

Okay chess metaphors are lost on me, and yeah Joe I know all to well about sins, have seen what a bullet can do to a ten years body first hand. I have m demons to face, and my believes, and like I created my own views of the world, I understand that when I do have children which is by the way not anytime soon, they will not see the world as I see it, and guess what I tried to be more than human once, tried to strip my humanity away and al it got me was misery and loneliness and burden of knowledge I wouldn't wish upon anyone.

Many experiments have failed on the first, second, third, tenth try, and eventually found to be successful. At the worst of it though, I'm just like anybody else; my ambition and desire to put off part of my humanity may just be part of the flaws of humankind. Who is to know?
