Niko would go back to the market to speak to the poison shop owner. He was reluctant to let her buy, but after seeing the memory card from the camera, he did agree willingly. "You look kinda different... Ah screw it! Thanks for the help! Just these or anything else?" Niko looked around and noticed an atlas and some explosive tags. When she couldn't find anything else, she nodded and let him know she was done.
"Excellent. Here you are. Also, if you're looking for work, I got a few more jobs I could give you..."
tab As Lahlil moved to step forward she felt a strange lurching in her chest. Her vision fell black and that was all she felt before shooting off. Anyone else watching would see the young girl become outlined woth a white glow before morphing into a small white ball that flew off at high speeds in the direction of the restaurant district.
A shadow. A lonely shadow cast along the ground to follow at the heels of the more interesting figure. It was awful to think this way but while humans work the puppets, the star, it is the skills of man that make them shine. She, the shadow, is who makes others and her tools shine. Sadayo's eyes were slightly red-rimmed and a sniffle snuck into her nose but she managed most of a brave face.
She did think to offer herself for a task she'd certainly be thanked for. Cleaning up, maybe? After all, Sadayo was hearing a fuss over a mess made in the restaurant district. By chance, her walk back through the shopping district brought her to pass beside an open-doorway to a shop where someone could be heard cursing monstrosities. Sadayo listened in a little as she slowed her pace and looked into the shop. An absolute mess.
The shop was colorful, inviting, and a sweet tooth's paradise with each wall baring shelves packed with colorful boxes, containers showing off wrapped goodies , and candies all around. However, the shop was far from being considered neat and tidy. Sadayo entered and knelt to pick up a couple of crushed candy boxes. She held and did so long enough that the shopkeeper keeper caught wind of her. The shopkeeper looked frazzled and tired with a broom in hand.
"I'm sorry. Shop's closed until this mess can be taken care of. I have to ask you to come back later." They said with my reluctance. Sadayo approached the shopkeeper and handed the candies and asked to know what happened. How were monsters involved in this? Were fanged creatures after candy too? Sadayo could only ask what happened before she could perform any snooping to find evidence on the matter. For all she knew, the culprits who raided this candy shop could have further taken advantage of the fearful red moon and attacked other businesses. Thankfully, the shopkeeper seemed more than cooperative about sharing her findings. [1/6]
The shopkeeper was an older lady who had been hiding in the upstairs living quarters during the extent of the red moon. "Looters!" She stated. "Terrors of the night weren't the only creatures on the prowl. The greedy, sugar-sucking thieves who took advantage of my son's sweet shop ransacked the place while I was busy being fearful for my very life just upstairs!" She shook and bounced the broom on its bristles as she described the danger that took place in her own home. [2/6]
"I don't know if they were children, delinquent teenagers, or goodness knows who with the arrogance to ransack someone's livelihood." The woman continued. Sadayo must have been the first person to truly inquire at the rate the woman was divulging information. "I suppose the voices sounded young? How many were there?" [3/6]
The shopkeeper held her tongue, looked off to the side in thought, and then burst back into conversation, "There had to have at least been three! I heard noises like a blunt metallic object was being bopped around. I'm so grateful they didn't beat through my window but stunned that they entered so freely through the front door." [4/6]
"Well, did they take any money? Just candy?" Sadayo wanted to take this matter seriously. If she seemed aware and caring of the going-ons here this may buy her some decent positive perspectives. "No," the woman sighed out of relief. "I took all the money and my ledgers upstairs and put em' under lock and key." "Then just stock." [5/6] Stock was merchandise and candy was merchandise. "I thought good people lived in this village. They took full containers of my homemade goods. Packaged confectioneries, chocolates, and little candies like those..." She pointed at a container where a scoop had been left behind but the remnants of pink sugary 'pearl' candies sat. Eventually the shopkeeper sighed, apologized for gabbing on for so long and told Sadayo she was welcome to buy something if she wanted to. "But at least let me see if I can help.
This offer made the older woman relieved to have reached out to someone, unintentionally, and guided the jounin to a corner in the store. The woman began giving instruction about where "this" goes and where "these" go and how she wanted "all of these" chocolate wrapping somethings stored back in "this" container. The act of picking up the now empty containers is where Sadayo started. The shopkeeper hadn't commented about the damaged doorway. [1/4]
Displaced, colorful, boxes of gummy candy were picked up and stacked back on the shelf and flavors in all varieties would be arranged in a fruity rainbow of some sorts. With each box the rainbow grew and Sadayo viewed her forming rainbow as a promising omen for the candy show. The good kind of omens, not the bad-luck rainbow kind, but really this was just a thought to entertain herself. [2/4]
In the corner, the lady had directed Sadayo to work the first layers of shelving that was begining to look more tidy by the minute. That is, after she took away the broken shelving. The looters must have smashed the shelves with what could have been a bat just based on the splintering where the wood was hit. At least three shelves, in her corner area, were damaged. Sadayo didn't have the tools to get repair them herself, therefore, she could only ask what to do with them. [3/4]
The woman came to her, examined the removed shelves and waved Sadayo to follow. Before long, the woman could only offer Sadayo sandpaper to smooth down the damage. "This will do until i'm done cleaning. I'll replace the boards soon. It's only a couple of scuffs, sand it for me, please." As requested, Sadayo accepted the shopkeeper's sandpaper and went to work.[4/4] The scuffing shifting sound of sandpaper wearing away splinters put Sadayo's cleaning to a pause but repairing, sanding rather, was a good way to make the overall damage seem less than it was. She occasionally looked back up at the damaged doorway in which she entered. [1/4]
With elbow grease the shelves were sanded. Sadayo tested its surface with her bare finger tip all which ways possible. Not a splinter. When she looked at the wall to replace them, a couple wall brackets looked out of sorts in terms of leveling. The shelves were fine now but worn, beaten shelf brackets would be no good to support an even display.[2/4]
At the very least, Sadayo wondered if she could dismount and try to bend the bracket back into shape. Upon mention of the bent bracket, the woman brought her a set of tools and commented how she had no idea the shelves were that badly worn. The jounin was already on the matter and had unscrewed the first bent bracket. [3/4]
The woman mentioned the shelves had been in place since the shop's insception and that a good shelf bracket never fails under the weight of sweet products. The looters must have been considerably certain to stand on furniture too to add insult to injury. Sadayo did her best to hammer out the warped metal. [4/4] [Maintenance Rank D; x2]
Each metal piece was warped to some degree. Some brackets were less damaged than others. In no time, Sadayo was able to reinstall shelving, replace the shelves themselves, and restock the space with plastic containers. The act of actually filling the containers was taken over by the shopkeeper who asked Sadayo to sand the doorway. [1/4]
Being able to sand the doorway was like addressing the sad elephant in the room. Sadayo stepped over to the door, slapped sandpaper to the damage just above her head, and went to work. The door was a little like the shelves: damaged wood; not much else. [2/4]
Sadayo went even further with repairing the door by checking the doorway. The looters could have screwed up the alignment of the door. It was no fun to have a door that wouldn't slide properly. It was a metal section that held the door in place and the tiny wheels the front door moved along where popped out of place. [3/4]
A screwdriver, borrowed from the shopkeeper, was more than enough to unfasten the wheel and refasten until it was feeling like itself again. It was a relief that any other pieces were either so minor or just weren't damaged in the looting. [4/4][Maintenance Rank D; #3]
" Thank you very much for your help so far, but I wouldn't want to keep you all day. You are ninja, aren't you? I had a feeling if that's the case. I'll forward this too and make sure someone is aware of your help." The shopkeeper could only thank Sadayo with promises that her work would not go unheard, as Sadayo did for the crime that took place. If being kicked out was the woman's wishes then Sadayo could only comply. She returned the tools, said her polite goodbyes, and went on her way back into the street. The woman looked much happier to have had someone take care of the bigger issues that just cleaning up candy.

"Would you be willing to help me out again?" Niko sighed. "Will I get a discount?" The shopkeeper shook his head. "No, but I could throw you more work instead?" Niko thought for a minute then agreed. She would return with the pics. Still until then, she purchased two basic supply kits for her crafting before leaving.
Masato would slowly approach Chie. His body screamed from the inside out. He was unable to move easily at this point, exhaustion had overcome him at this point. His average human paced entry would most likely alert Chie something was wrong. His super human abilities were muted at the moment." Woman! Something....has....happened." He said, his strength fleeting from his voice with every word, each syllable becoming strained. Masato had yet to see his own reflection,but the presense of the fox had left whisker shaped scars upon his face that looked as though they were scratched by a claw on each side of his cheeks. Chie turned to Masato as he approached. She had not seen him since this whole corrupted chakra ordeal occurred, and was curious as to how he made out. However, wide eyes befell the man’s exposed chest. That wasn’t any demon seal. "Where is San?" She knew that she should be concerned with Masato’s condition. The man was not well. Her body reacted appropriately by helping the man keep balance through wrapping his arm along her shoulders. Her mind, however, was occupied with the pressing question of the location of the previous Uzukage. Because as she knew from experience that wasn’t any old demon seal. That seal belonged to the demon Chie helped seal away all of those years ago.

As Niko and Hisashi entered the market, they saw the man from the ice cream incident. He seemed to be in a panic. He was standing in front of a new building for the market area, but it looked un painted and unfinished. The man looked like he needed some help. Since Niko knew him, she offered her assistance.
"Oh man you really are a life saver! If you could help me paint a mural for this building that would be fantastic. My crew quit on me you see and I gotta finish this by tomorrow. So feel free to paint what you guys want okay? I'll be on this side finishing up. Call me if you have any problems or ideas. This is supposed to be a new book store so keep it close to that. Thanks again!"
Niko would leave Hisashi transformed and they soon got to work. Niko started with a series of books laying in a pile. She didn't spend too much time, but she was being careful about every detail as best she could. From the outline in, she tried her best to match every shade she could. She made sure the to use brighter colors to attract the customers. She even added small paper butterflies around the books as well.
Hisashi's vision was a little more different. He decided he was going to go with a "steak" theme. He painted a man holding a cook book and wearing an apron that had the book store name on it. Of course, he was standing at a grill cooking steak, and that was a picture of perfect proportions. Hisashi was proud of his work but when Niko saw it, she promptly bopped him on the head. With a sigh, he began to take it seriously.
His next picture was of him, because there is a part of Hisashi that loves him some Hisashi, and he was reading a book to children. They all looked so wonderful and happy. Hisashi had done a really great job and was even more proud. This time however he was not bopped on the head. He was instead rewarded with a high five. That put a smile on his face. The book store was coming along nicely.
Niko then went on to paint a grassy field on a sunny day with a tree that had shade and a few people reading books under it. There were also people and pets playing in the sun. The overall point that Niko and Hisashi were trying to make was that books are funny and can be enjoyed in many ways. Niko took a step back to look at their work. She even thought it looked good. She never expected Hisashi to be such a great painter either. It was a welcomed surprise.
The last touches were being placed on the building now. Niko was finalizing all the paintings that they did. She was doing spot checks and going over what she could to make it bet. She even got the small brush and detailed as many faces as she could. She had painted quite a bit and was covered in it. Still, to her that was just a sign of work. She was doing very well at finding work in this village and was starting to get somewhere. She just needed to know where she was going. For now however, she stuck to the painting and kept it moving.
The final piece they had left to paint was the sign that sat outside the door. That sign was a chalkboard but it looked so bad. That is until Niko fixed it up. She fixed it up real good. She fixed it up better than real good. It was strange. At first it seemed to only get worse when she tried to paint at first. But when she realized it was better as an abstract expression of color, she went to town. It was a beautiful array of colors and shapes. The sign was perfect.
"Done already? Man you work fast! I'm so grateful! Here let me pay you. I'm gonna recommend you to my boss. He could throw some work you're way if you ever need it. Well anyways thanks again!" Niko nodded as she took the man's card. Then she and Niko were off to their destination in the market.
When they arrived, the shop keeper looked excited to see Niko. With a sigh she gave him the disc and he gave her a piece of paper. On it were instructions on where she could go to find work. She smiled as she bought some more knives and explosive tags. Then, they went home.
Masato would allow his body to rest upon Chie's offered support. The relief of weight would cause a grunt. Chie asked about 'San'. Masato barely recognized the woman before even when acting as the Uzukage...now that Chie had brought her name up it would register that was who it was. " That woman...really stuck the nine tails in me. Didn't she..." he asked retorically. He was in disbelief. He had intended to fight San eventually to determine if she were strong enough to harbor such a power...now...he questioned if he was himself. " She...headed east? From the Dojo."
Just as he finished naming her movement, a pulse of chakra shred through his body. His eyes widened as blood spat forth from his mouth. "D-damned thing is still clawing at the seal."

Rinka made her way through the district with haste. She might have been given the okay to wander off to fight, but any good will she might have established with Chie might fade if she went awol. After a few moments of darting about on the rooftops, the Oni returned to her original location. Her eyes darted around the plaza as she scanned for the kage; luckily for her, Chie hadnt moved from her spot. Rinka bolted down towards the kage, landing with a bounce. "Touched him..." Rinka said, cocking a triumphant grin.

Chie extended an arm away from Masato so that her hand could hover above his stomach. An incantation circle formed inches from his exposed chest. ”Sorry in advance." She said as the circle flew straight through Masato. The chakra would cause Masato’s body to lock up in a state of paralysis. However, her sage chakra should also cause the demon behind the seal to also be paralyzed from any attempts at escape. "We need to get you to the hospital. With any luck we have one Uzumaki on staff there. " She grunted as she prepares herself to move. However, Rinka then appeared before she could. The arrival of the rogue would be beneficial to her, however. "Good to see you. Contact Kya at the temple and inform her that Lady San has parted her demon onto one of her anbu. Then tell Kya to meet me in my office to discuss the future of this village. You can tell her that she had full permission to traverse there." She said. Walking up the street of the market district, Kairi allowed his thoughts to wander. If he didnt know better, this felt like a date almost. Then he realized that he had never actually been on a date with a woman. The one time that he actually, experienced.. a woman, was a drunken one night stand. As he passed the shops he motioned for Lilah to join him by his side. Once she caught up he nodded and began,'So first things first. I gotta get out of these hospital stuff. I have a few tabs around town but all my money is back at the house. So let me know before you buy anything. Dont go too crazy cause I am not a rich enough to be a sugar daddy." Chuckling at his crappy joke he continued,"Though if you need something, go ahead and grab it. I would also recommend stopping by that store up there." Pointing ahead he motioned to a store with a few mannequins covered in female underwear,"Just a thought ya know."
Turning sharply he entered into a clothes store with a wave greeting the shopkeeper,"Yo." Turning back to Lilah he let out a sigh,"So I am horrible at picking non combat gear. So pick something you think would fit me."

Lilah walked with Kairi in the market. There was a lot of stuff being sold and it reminded her of the towns market festival they would have. A lot of traders would come and she saw all sorts of things. When Kairi pointed out the underwear she tilted her head. She remembered seeing something like those once but when she asked her mother about it she was told she was to young to worry about it."Kairi what kinds of clothes are those? Is it supposed to be for swimming or something you wear if you dont want to be hot?"
As they walked into the store though he mentioned picking something out for him. She knew what looked good though least when it came to men. She had seen a good amount of what they were during the war. Especially the higher ranked ones. She quickly headed over to the racks looking through stuff. It was when she saw something that seemed one of a kind. "Kairi I think this is quite good. It looks pretty good and it seems like it is the only one. Its probably custom or something. " what she was looking at if course was a black outfit that looked quite badass.
The fact that she did not really know what underwear was for, was something he simply figured would happen. Letting out a light chuckle as she set about looking for an outfit for him,"When we go over there, ask em." Without another word he headed over to the shopkeepers desk and smiled,"Do you have my order in?" "That we do son. Ill have it for you in a moment." After a time he took the two bags and paid the man for them. Trying them up he set them next to him with his thanks.
Turning back to Lilah who had found an outfit he took it and headed into one of the changing rooms. After a moment he returned and held his hands out to his sides,"How's it look?" Without waiting for her to respond he smiled and motioned for the bags,"Those are for you. A gift from me if you will. I hope they fit. I had to rough estimate your dimensions."
Lilah just nodded when he mentionef asking them when she got there. She wasnt really sure what he meant but she'd ask about it later. For now Kairi went to go change, When he came out the outfit she had picked went well his looks. She nodded her head in approval."I believe that this would make most men envious. I do know how important men like to look so nice. You look better then them to me." Then he motioned to the bags which she went to and opened. One was a dress which she knew about from seeing it herself the other something she hadn't worn yet. A kimono and something the older single girls would wear during certain times. During certain holidays and also when things like marriage were on the line. She nodded and went to go try them on. Normally she might refuse but these were clothes she would only wear sparingly so it wasnt too bad. She got into the changing room and took off all her clothes and then attempted to put on the kimono. She couldn't fully get it on, not because it was to small but because she did lot really understand how to. She called out to Kairi to get some help. "Kairi could you come give me a hand I'm having trouble with it. Its not to small but I can't seem to put it on right. "
Kairi would give a nod when she spoke of his new attire. He honestly didn't give a crap about how he looked. How he looked wasn't mattered to him. As he wandered around the store while he waited for Lilah to get done dressing he heard her call for him. Letting out another heavy sigh he headed for the dressing rooms. Though he did not enter hers. Knocking on the door he spoke softly,"Its me, are you decent? I'm coming in." He really didnt want to walk into her being naked, despite the fact that he had a feeling that was exactly what he was walking into.
