Aiyume; Chakra 1175/1175 Stamina 1175/1175

"HHHEEEYYYOOOOO" shouted Aiyume as the twins would no doubt know who it's from. With a soft tackle and bear hug, Aiyume pinned Hotaru down to the ground cause she knows Seo doesn't like that so she likes Hotaru more because of his fun personality! It was also her way to ask Hotaru something rather important. Tsuta distracted Aiyume as the dog joined in on the fun as she hopped onto Aiyume's back and barked, pretended to be responsible for taking the duo down. "Get down ya silly girl," laughed Aiyume as she glanced at Hotaru. There would be lighter weight as Tsuta got off of them and barked friendly towards them. With the biggest small and most alpha personality, the Inuzuka could muster, "You and me, on a date. Tonight." With a wink, she got up from the ground and glanced around. "So! What are we doing here? Ohhh! Will we see Yua today!?" She questioned, hoping to see the missing member of their pack soon.

Arashigakure | Student

A small figure strolled absentmindedly through the halls of the academy. One hand resting on one of the blades sitting at her waist, seemingly delicate fingers toying with the cord that bound the weapon. Only the most observant would notice that those hands weren't as delicate as they appeared, rough and calloused beyond their years they hinted at the life the youth led. The blue haired girl didn't look out of place amongst the other children of the academy but she certainly felt like she was. In truth despite her appearance, she was on the older side for an academy student. Her uncle had kept her from joining for as long as he could, training the girl in the way of the blade instead. She didn't hold her uncle's stubbornness against him, he was the only family she had but it certainly had made her brief time in the academy a real headache. The bright-eyed student found herself struggling where her younger counterparts were flourishing and was quickly becoming disillusioned. Saki was no stranger to training hard, thanks to her uncle's brutal training regime but it was the academic side she struggled with. The way of the shinobi and their techniques were foreign to the young swordswoman. It probably would have been easier coming into the academy blind rather than trying to reconcile her training with a very different concept. She felt two steps behind everyone else and it left her frustrated to no end.

Saki had been wracking her brain trying to figure out a way to remedy this issue. In truth the answer was obvious and she knew it, ask someone for help. The only problem was Saki didn't really know anyone to ask and she wasn't exactly the most social person. The thought of trying to make a friend and asking them for help made her quite nervous. There was little choice left, it was either that or fall hopelessly behind the rest of the students. Saki sighed heavily; she had made up her mind but that didn't mean she was happy about it. Already a plan had formed in her mind. That was why she was here so much earlier than normal. She had noticed another student that also kept to herself and better yet was very dedicated to their academic pursuits. The white-haired girl seemed like her best chance to find someone to help. Saki had noticed the young scholar was usually at the academy first thing to study or train so she had showed up early in an attempt to intercept her. However, it looked as if she had been a little ambitious with her attempt. The other student was nowhere to be seen.

Another sigh escaped Saki's lips, everything else was going wrong why would she be surprised her plan was too? Maybe she could salvage this and get a mission in while she waited, part of her graduation requirements were missions completed after all and some were as simple as cleaning a classroom. That seemed impossible to screw up. Tapping her knuckle on the hilt of her blade as a sign of commitment Saki set off to find an empty classroom in need of some attention.

It didn't take long to find a room that fit the bill, left in disarray after a class. Blackboard covered with notes and scrolls strewn about the teacher’s desk. It was a bit of a mess but Saki was sure it wouldn't take too long to clean up. Stepping into the room after her quick survey, Saki slipped her katana out from under their binding at her hip and placed them carefully down leaning against the wall. Pulling her long flowing sleeves up she tied them off so as to keep them out of her way while she worked. The blackboard was a mess so she decided to start by packing the scrolls up. She caught a glimpse at the writing on one of the scrolls as she rolled it up and it made her head spin, reminding her of the situation she was in with her studies. Bundling it up quickly with a bunch of other scrolls and making an effort not to read anymore, she quickly found their places on the nearby shelf. She was trying to focus on the task at hand, push out the thoughts plaguing her mind and work quickly. The rest of the scrolls were soon stored in short order.

Now for the messy part. Looking over the daunting monolith of a blackboard in front of her there was barely an inch of empty space on it. With a look of pure determination Saki snatched up a pair of erasers and went to town on it. If it weren't for her rather small stature attacking this task with two hands would have made short work but as it stood, she couldn't reach a good portion of the board. Despite her best efforts standing on the tip of her toes it was a futile effort, she was simply too short. Puffing up her cheeks in frustration Saki suddenly leapt upwards, swiping at the board at the height of her jump. It was far from an efficient method and looked absolutely ridiculous but Saki was the kind of person to act rather than sit around and think things through. It took quite a few of these leaping swipes to clear off the rest of the board and anybody walking past the room would have caught sight of the rather comical display of a child jumping about the room desperately swiping at the blackboard. Saki was far too focused in her efforts to pay that any mind though. Finally done with the task she stood back, hand on hips admiring her handy work for a second. Good as new...

Now she just needed to clap the considerable amount of chalk dust off the erasers. Taking a moment to suck in a deep breath beforehand Saki suddenly slammed the erasers together and disappeared into a cloud of chalk dusk. Moments later she surfaced gasping for air. Might have over done it... She thought to herself while glancing down at her clothes, she looked like a ghost, white from head to toe. Trying to pat some of the chalk dust out of her clothes and hair helped a little but she was still a mess. It didn't seem to bother her much, spending so much time training she was used to being a little dirty. With her job done she scooped up her katana and poked her head into the hallway, where was the girl she was waiting for?

[Early Morning - Set up and Repair Targets for Kunai & Shuriken Training]

Nagadera Amaya's feeble hand rose to gently rub the knuckle of her index finger against her hazy orbs in hopes the dust of the sandman would leave her. Lids weighed heavily over her ashen eyes as the sun began to rise. They had battled a sleepless night of note making with only a few hours rest. Days off from the classroom were always packed full of academic adventures into shinobi literature, technique and survival. The aspiring nin also crammed studies particular to the biome and technology of Arashigakure. Busy bee during the day and a night owl in the eve was fueled by a pure thirst for knowledge. However, she was nearing her limit. About every three to four days, Amaya would exhaust herself into a deep sleep for twelve hours. This was day three, so she had slept in against her will even though today was another exciting adventure in training!

They would be practicing their thrown weapons today. While many shinobi familiarized themselves with shuriken and kunai, not many took a shining to it. These generic weapons of the hidden villages were looked at like a training tool or a standard commodity. From what she read, only the nin of old heavily relied on the weapons. Now there were so many techniques and styles available that the ancient weapon barely turned an eye from those of higher rank. Amaya decided she would be different. She preferred to fight at a distance. Perhaps it was her anti-social tendencies which influenced her desire? Nevertheless, she had another agenda to go along with the Academy's standard target practice. One that would not only familiarize her with both weapons, but hopefully inspire her next steps as a shinobi. She just needed to find someone willing to participate in the training.

Walking silently as most shinobi do, the pale crowned girl made her way to the open room facing away from the mountain. Sliding off her pack, she stretched her arms well above her head still attempting to get her blood flowing. To her, it appeared she was the first there. In that case, she wouldn't stall. With her mind set on shuriken and kunai training, she'd fetch the target boards. Opening the equipment closet, Amaya was horrified. The last person to use these threw them back carelessly. Base legs were tangled with other bases, some where upside down and others had been thrown into taijutsu training dummies creating horrendous dents.
"Curse you..." the girl grumbled under her breath towards the unnamed culprit who showed such disrespectful behavior. Without hesitation, she began the geometrical struggle of dislodging the heavy equipment.

Short legs stretched themselves as long as they could to find solid footings. Bending at the knee and dipping her torso down low, Amaya's shoulders rounded forward. Hands gripping two pinned legs, she gave a sharp tug. Again and again, she jerked the base of the boards to see where they had give and loosened them up before pulling as hard as she could in the correct direction. Feet quickly moving under her, the student kept her balance as her hands gripped tightly and her arms braced the heavy target board.
"Hup!" she breathed, hiking the board to a better position as she carried it out to the training room, setting it in the farthest corner. Going back into the closet, she hauled the second one out carefully flipping it over to an upright position to avoid any damage. She carried it out, placing it close to the first. The third one however...

Wedged oddly against the heavier taijutsu training dummies, Amaya wanted to utter her displeasure again but held her tongue. Instead she sucked it up and went for the board. Hugging her knees, she balled herself up while shuffling her tiny feet across the floor. Wedging herself under the training dummy, she reached one hand up to grab the wooden stake known as the arm. With her other hand on the target board, she gently lifted up. Her legs pushed her back against the dummy while her knees helped the board separate from the arm to avoid further damage. It was going swell until the dummy spun on its base. The arms knocked over another dummy causing a loud crash at it jettisoned other equipment onto the floor and fell on Amaya's shoulder. The legs caught her round the shin, and added extra weight against the target board.

"Guh!" she gasped in surprise at first, but as she tried to push herself free, the girl realized everything would come crashing down on her in an instant thanks to the spinning bases of the dummies. While she could flicker away with a shinobi technique, the final target board would most likely get destroyed under the weight of the dummies and she hadn't learned her replacement technique yet. Amaya could only hope someone would hear the crash, but at this hour... she'd have to hold out until the sensei showed up... in an hour. "Ha..." Amaya sighed at her predicament.

Seo was the first to see Aiyume and Tsuta. However, given her current attitude toward her brother, she decided it was best to not warn him of the incoming hug. A sly smile appeared on the girl's lips as Hotaru was suddenly pinned to the ground. If one looked at Seo's face, it was clear she was being spiteful by not warning her brother. Hotaru on the other hand barely felt anything before he was brought to the ground by Aiyume. Finally, someone was around that wasn't such mood killer. The weight intensified as Hotaru watched his favorite dog jump onto the pair. "Hey Aiyume! Hey Tsuta!" Hotaru said to the tamer duo. Seo only watched as the event unfolded, until Aiyume decided to ask Hotaru out. The girl's eyes narrowed slightly as she crossed her arms. It seemed she wasn't necessarily the most approving of the date. Hotaru on the other hand was mostly caught off guard by the question. "Sure! Sounds fun!" Even being caught off guard, Hotaru was still his laid back self. "I think Yua is on the way. I heard she got out of the prison they were holding her in. I still feel bad that they put her away." Hotaru said, his eye looking at his sister since she was the one that helped put Yua away. Another subject of fighting they have had for the last month. It was weird to Hotaru how Seo could compartmentalize her emotions and feelings for others. Perhaps Seo didn't have any at all.

K I M U R A ◈ S A K I
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Arashigakure | Student

With no sight of the student Saki was looking for she was beginning to think her plan was a bust. With a defeated look she tucked her pair of katana safely back under her belt and made her way out of the classroom. About ready to resign herself to trying to get some training in on her own, Saki was less than thrilled with the prospect. There were a bunch of techniques she had to learn to graduate and she still didn't have a single one under her belt. Her hand seals were clumsy at best, she really needed some help but it didn't look like she would be getting any today. She hoped the white-haired scholar was alright, it was strange for her to be late.

As Saki was wandering through the halls dragging her feet, a loud crash from one of the training rooms caught her attention. Curious as to the commotion she made her way to the room with a much quicker pace. What she saw upon arriving in the room was a pile of equipment that had come spewing forth from the closet. It looked like someone hadn't packed things away properly and it had all just come crashing down. Saki stood there looking over the mess for a moment, contemplating whether she should clean it up. She really shouldn't be getting distracted from training even if it wasn't likely to show much success. That choice was taken away from Saki when much to her surprise the mountain of equipment shifted slightly, followed by a soft voice that sounded in distress.
"Ah! Don't move! I'll help!" Saki called out as she rushed over without a second thought.

The mysterious victim was completely buried. From what Saki could tell it looked like a couple of training dummies had wedged together to make the bars of the student’s prison and then been covered by various other types of equipment. The best place to start would be getting the bulk of the equipment away, those dummies would be heavy enough to deal with on their own.
"Hold on, I'll get some of this stuff out of the way!" She announced, already scooping up some of the equipment and piling it off to the side. Luckily most of the gear wasn't particularly heavy there was just a lot of it to get through. Saki went silent, toiling away at moving the remaining equipment aside. A word of reassurance wouldn't have gone astray but that was the last thing on the girl's mind now that she had a task to focus on. Finally, the last of the equipment was moved, leaving only the two dummies and their prisoner.

For the first time Saki got a clear view of who was trapped underneath.
"YOU!" She blurted out in surprise. What providence that the person she was looking for was right in front of her. "I uhh..." She fumbled for words as her cheeks flashed with crimson, realizing she'd just screamed at this poor trapped person she didn't even know. "Kimura Saki!" She bowed her head and rattled off a quick introduction. Snapping herself from her embarrassment she moved over to the first dummy. The wooden figure was almost twice her size and barely budged when she pulled on it. Its limbs were hopelessly tangled with the other dummy. Saki lacked the strength or size to brute force her way through this problem. Standing back to reassess the problem it wasn't long before inspiration struck.

Slipping one of her katana out she suddenly climbed up onto the pile of dummies and thrust the weapon in between the tangled torsos. Without thinking she had added her own weight to that which was crushing the other tiny student. Worse yet without warning she had thrust her weapon within an inch of the poor student’s face. Thankfully it was still sheathed, though that wouldn't do much to alleviate the shock of the sudden attack. Digging her feet in, Saki tried to use the leverage created by the weapon to pry the entangled dummies apart. Wood creaked in protest as it began to move slightly.
"COME ON!" She cried out as she pulled down on her weapon with all the might her tiny frame could muster. The dummy finally sprang lose so suddenly and forcefully that it took Saki by surprise. With a hopeless squeal the girl was thrown back and sent tumbling while the other dummy was forcefully ejected in the opposite direction. The trapped student was free save for the one dummy directly on her back but it wouldn't take much effort to shift that off. Saki on the other hand was sprawled out on the floor after being stopped by her head connecting with the pile of displaced equipment. The defeated swordswoman lay on the ground dazed and groaning, she had succeeded at her task but at what cost?

Yua Arashi | B | Genin | Gen-jutsu | Bloodline | Yuki-Onna
I’m Yuki-Onnit!!!

It had been a month since the conflict with the land of iron and most of the buzz faded and people affected by the war had or were moving past the events. Some of these people like Yua had not faired so well since then, the shame and guilt about succumbing to the Kodamas call and turned her on her own had stuck and resulted in her shutting herself in at home for the first few days when released from incarceration and uselessly catastrophize over what couldn’t be changed. Yua usual bright demeanour and active attitude being reduced to this slump that if not ended, could go on for a very long time without a Yokai of her type without actually realizing it, Yua not considering this as she hadn’t been feeling very deserving. The result was that her housemates had already decided she was taking this to hard and blaming herself for something that couldn’t be helped, these housemates being her part of a self proclaimed family of ice women. These two were Sena and Mimiko and both being the kind to be rather overly positive about things and also fun lovers, had had enough of the pity party and decided Yua needed to see her friends, stealing Orens pearl and using it so send a brief and not entirely clear message that Yua would be at the Academy at some point to Hotaru, who would likely mistake her for Yua herself from the briefness of the message.

The next phase was fighting Yua out of the living room and away from depressing soap operas, resulting in the other two swaying her with food for a local vendor who’d been asking after her and promising she could go home if she didn’t feel up to it, the latter part a direct lie. With the flub they told her one might assume that thing had gotten more difficult when realized, this might have been true had the other two not literally picked Yua up by either side and used their height advantage to start carrying her in a way here toes couldn’t touch the ground, the mild struggle of her legs almost making it look like she walked of her own accord, almost. Yua was rather upset about the whole ordeal at this point being as they dragged her around the village and jabbered about making her get out of her rut and see there was no reason to be the way she was being, neglecting to tell her where they were taking her intentionally. Finally upon approaching the academy down the Main Street leading to it, Yua realizing at this point where they had taken her and Sena let her got and speeded on ahead and looked out for a sign of Yuas friends.

The Yuki-Onna pointed absentmindedly at the people around her until finally seeing Two young women, a young man who was for sure related to one of the girls and a pupper, quite easy to spot all things considered. Sena speedily approached the group whilst Yua was led along by Mimiko a distance behind them, giving up resistance for guilty silence and nervousness, not ready to face them in her own opinion but Sena wasn’t going to give her a choice as she addressed the group on her approach. ”Heya, not to interrupt but you would all be Yuas friends no? My sisters about a hundred yards back and has been having a pity party for the past few days and we’ve had enough of it, so we felt she needed her friends and brought her to you, like a kid that one.” She said she a grin and gave a one handed wave in greeting before using the same hand to signal at the other two approaching. Yua and Mimiko arrived in short order, although it felt like a long walk to Yua who was getting more anxious by the foot, her sister holding her hand and bowing a head in greeting to the other two with a pleasant smile before she turned to Yua ”Here they are Yua, your friends are here and have been wondering about you, say hi and apologize for causing them worrying” She said to the shorter Yuki-onna gently but firmly, pushing her toward them and giving one more nod to the others and turned to leave.

”See you later Yua, see you guys again some time maybe and sorry about her, she isn’t very chatty with humans. Sena said with a casual grin and pointing at Mimiko before turning to follow after, leaning down as she reached Yua and muttered a reassurance into her ear and shuffled of after the other and leaving Yua standing there awkwardly. Yua fidgeted as she stood there silently and listened as the other two had spoke, nodding her head quietly whilst looking slightly down toward the ground so the her eyes were almost hidden by her bangs and shadow, hands resting on the her robes around her stomach, one hand on top of the other and thumping at nothing from nerves. She stepped forwards and nervously spoke with quiver of worry and in a small voice before giving a low bow ”Uhm hello, glad everyone’s doing well... I’m sorry for causing you any worry and troubling you all!” She straightened up and was still keeping her head bent, not looking anyone in the eyes and continued with ”I understand if any of you are mad or disappointed with me, I promise I’ll make up for the trust lost, that is if I’m allowed.” She sounded like a kid who’d been lectured and truly understood the ramifications, in her eyes a Yokai loosing it or causing trouble for any reason was a fire and pitchfork worthy reaction for most humans regardless of the motivation or reasons why. Yua being habited into this sort of mentality by time and experiences was a rather extreme wall as she’d been in that sort of position more than once, even if she knew or believed her friends weren’t like that, it was hard for her to actually realize this fact even though she’d likely be made to in the moments to come.

It was Aiyume's turn to be off guard, "Wait, really? Oh, man!" She laughed as she sheepishly scratched the back of her head, "To be honest with cha, I was expectin' rejecting but this is awesome! Don't worry, I'm sure I can plan a fun date tonight!" Hearing that Yua was on the way, she smiled rather excitedly but when she looked at Seo, she saw that the female was rather... closed off. Her arms were crossed and to be honest, she looked like she got a bone up in her a**. "We're a pack, Seo, and you still gave her to them." Aiyume growled towards her, it wasn't aggressive or loud, rather more like annoyance if anything. Before they could probably really get into it, someone had approached and Aiyume sniffed. Odd, she smelled familiar. Yua. Does she live with Yua or something? Sure enough, Aiyume squealed out of excitement and ran to Yua. With a soft hug instead of her usual tackle to the floor hug, she squeezed her, "Nah, dun say that! We know it's not ya fault! We are not mad at ya! You're one of us, our pack! We trust you!" With that, she shot Seo a sideways glance, "Don't we?" If anything, if Seo was going to give the wrong answer, there would be a possibility of a fight, even if she was her date's sibling.

-----------

Tsuta licked Hotaru's face before she let him get up as she barked softly. Sat down, she whined a bit as there was some tension between Aiyume and Seo but she got distracted by something else. A rather loud noise. With a curious whine, she tilted her head towards the noise in an attempt to understand what was going on. Used her nose and ears, she sees a student on the floor. A wag of the tail, a happy yip, and the joy in her steps show them that she was not an aggressive dog. Hot air could be felt upon Saki's hair and face as Tsuta was rather curious as to why she was on the floor. Saw the katana, she walked over to it and nuzzled it with her nose, and pushed it towards the dazed girl's hand. Her head rose as she sniffed some more and realized there was someone underneath all the mess. Lowered her body down as she started to crawl towards the mess and wiggled her way towards the other student. With a happy bark, she attempted to lick Amaya face. Then she helped Ayama by using her body weight and wiggling to have Amaya crawl her way out to freedom. She would find a good strength point and lift her body up to lift the mess so Ayama can move. It was obvious, that Tsuta was no ordinary dog.

It had been a long time since she had last visited the academy, the towering seven foot oni cautiously walking through on a day with nothing to do for entertainment.. Selina had been on extended leave for a couple of months now and it only caused the girl some amount of pain beneath. It was for some assignment or whatever, the specifics weren't exactly conveyed much to her. But the pink haired ninja who smelled faintly of flowers had been missing in her life since...how long ago was it? The duration had been long enough to the point where it had felt like years. Obei let out another one of her huffs while burying her head inside of her sweater. Selina's pink Arashi headband would be tied around her right arm. The same floral scent as which followed her causing her some minor amount of longing before.

Her sullen, pale figure moved throughout the hallways, taking great care to fit through any spaces that she likely wouldn't have been able to. It was one of the drawbacks of being a bit taller than most humans were, although it wasn't all doom and gloom. At the very least, she had a nice view of the sunset. She was just by the homeroom classrooms when all of a sudden, a great crashing noise caught her ear. She swung around to travel back the way she came to go investigate the source of the noise. Had something from the top shelves fallen? Or was this some sort of strange fight between two people nearby? Obei shuffled down the hall again and would peer inside each of the rooms for any signs of trouble. There first few were rather empty or had a few people talking inside though eventually she came across the room which held a mountain of training dummies having fell down with a dog and a girl lying beside it. Her gauntlet worn hands opened the door quickly and made her way inside.

Maybe the girl would notice the dog licking her face, or the now massive shadow that was looking over her as Obei knelt down, the air around her slightly chilled than what she might have grown accustomed to in the academy. She had always heard these places got stuffy. "Obei heard crash. Are okay?" she asked, gently nudging the girl as she tried to help her back up onto her feet. "Obei can take to hospital if not. Are feel good?" Her eyes were as stoic as always, though her time with Selina had warmed some part of that icy heart a bit to allow some concern to show through.

Hotaru nodded when Aiyume asked if he meant what he had said. "I've never been on a date before, so I thought it would be fun." The man said with a smile while Seo watched as the group of Yokai came their direction, almost not noticing what Aiyume said to her. "I did what is required of us as shinobi. Whatever was controlling her, was something out of our league all together. So, I brought her to someone I knew could handle it." Seo put rather simply, as if there was no argument against her thinking. Hotaru ignored what his sister had to say for herself and went over to Yua, not liking the way that the other yokai were treating her. "You couldn't control what happened to you Yua. We're not mad at you or disappointed. We're all just glad you're okay." Hotaru would say to the Yokai before joining in on Aiyume's hug. Seo on the other hand remained where she was at, watching as Aiyume looked at her. As far as Seo was concerned, it was Seo and Hotaru with no room for anyone else in a so called pack. "Yeah, I'm glad you're okay." The girl would say, rather sincerely. Although, with her current mood the other's may think she was giving attitude. Even though she didn't agree with the way her brother wanted to handle things, she at least wanted Yua safe. After all, that was why she brought her to the only people she figured could save her.

[Early Morning - Set Class Up Fin]

Amaya heard a voice call out telling her not to move. It was a girl's voice, probably around the same age as her, but the ivory-haired girl didn't recognize who it belonged to. Nevertheless, she felt relieved.
"Thank goodness," she breathed as her muscles started to shake from holding all the weight. As the other rushed to unload some of the smaller clutter, Amaya could feel the pressure overhead lightened making it easier for her to hold the position. Lifting her head up to see who was going through all the trouble to hep, she met a pair of pale blue eyes. "YOU!" "M-me?" she asked, surprised by the student's outburst and not sure what to make of it. The bookworm wasn't too keen on remembering the names of her fellow students, but she did have a photographic memory. While she recognized the girl, Amaya didn't think they'd ever held a conversation. There was a moment of awkward silence and since she was trapped, there wasn't much Nagadera could do except blink as the other blushed from a bit of embarrassment before bowing her head. "Ah... Nagadera Amaya," she replied with her own introduction, curiosity piqued as Saki stood back to assess the predicament.

Amaya tried to shift, but it was no use. Her muscles were weak from holding her position. If at least one of the dummies were moved, she'd be able to get out. Instead of pressure being alleviated, more was applied as Kimura climbed atop the pike.
"Gah!" Amaya's entire body tensed as she locked limbs into place to keep herself from being crushed. "K-Kimura-san," she could barely breathe, her diaphragm locked up and unable to expand as the weight of the dummies and girl wedged her harder against the target board. Face lost all color when the sheath of a katana almost took her nose off. Beads of perspiration formed upon her temples, rolling from her hairline down to her chin. Amaya was fearful that her angel could in fact be a demon. If she jettisoned the dummy in the wrong direction. . . the little bookworm imagined her elbow bending the wrong direction. "Oh, Kami-sama," the little student started to beg for mercy as the creaking of the katana against the dummies grew louder and louder before another crash erupted.

"Hua!" Amaya gasped for air as the wooden training contraption sprang loose, allowing the ivory crowned girl to melt into a heap of meat pudding underneath the single training dummy. Exasperated breaths pumped out of her lungs as the little bit of weight on her back was all that remained. Looking over to see her rescuer on the floor, she knew she had to go check on her quickly in case she hit her head. Rearranging herself under the dummy, Amaya was about to give her best effort for a heave-ho when more sounds of shuffling caught her ear. "A...a dog?" she questioned as the canine wiggled about to try and lick her face. Scrunching her nose, she let the pooch say hello before it crawled under her to hold the weight of the training dummy. Eager to crawl out and check on Saki, she saw the feet of another already at her side. With the responsibility off her shoulders, Amaya kept her eyes on the prize. "Stay?" she requested of the dog for a moment. As Nagadera grasped the target board and slid it across the floor from under the training dummies, her original goal had been met with a little help. "Come," while the word was typically spoken as a command, the canine could sense Amaya's tone which projected the sentiment of safety. Palm out, the girl offered her hand to the dog for more friendly licks after a clean escape. "Arigato," she said, carefully sizing up the beast before confidentially reaching out to pet it.

Standing off a ways from the seven foot tall entity, Amaya looked on curiously towards Kimura. Shoulders rounding and chin sinking, strands of her pale hair fell forward to slightly hide her face. The girl wasn't quite sure what to say in this situation. Her first instinct was to ask if the other was okay, but the person who called themselves "Obei," already inquired. Nervous around such a tall creature she'd never seen before, the girl remained on the sidelines for a moment before pushing herself to do what was proper.
"Let me check your pupils," she requested gently, wanting to make sure her first rescuer didn't have a concussion. Index finger pointed, she moved it around in front of the other girl's face. Watching her eyes move as her finger drew lines in the air. Satisfied with the contents of Saki's blue hues, Amaya nodded. "Thank you aiding me, Kimura," while her words rushed off the tip of her tongue due to nerves shaken by the Oni's mere presence, Amaya was still sincere. "I'm going to finish moving the target board now," the girl announced plainly in hopes there'd be no more attention spent on her.

"Oh..." she stopped herself before the board even moved, turning towards Kimura yet again as an idea landed on her brain. "Can I use you for a thrown weapons study?" she asked before explaining her full intentions. "I want to practice reading the movements of a person who is about to throw a blade at me. I'd stand in front of the bull's-eye. You try to hit it. I'll have to dodge or deflect if you're accurate, but I also want to train myself not to flinch if you're off..." Amaya's words trailed, finger pressed against her bottom lip as she speculated the conditions of the training exercise. It was a moment of silence that would leave her idea open to suggestion from Saki, Obei or even the canine.

Saki was still seeing stars when she felt her katana pushed against her tiny digits, the hot dog breath in her face that proceeded barely registering. Her parent’s katana however were a grounding presence for the young orphan. Knocked half senseless the giant shadow was looming overhead before she even realized it was there. A gentle nudge would trigger Saki to suddenly grip the hilt of her katana instinctively and shoot upright. She'd been knocked silly plenty of times during training with her uncle and the lesson to get back up and keep fighting was usually the more painful one. She was about to bring herself to her feet when she finally realized she was in the shadow of a giant. The tiny girl nearly fell over again as she endlessly craned her neck to meet the eyes of the Oni reaching out to her. In her state it would have been easy to mistake the intention of the hand that looked as though it could crush her without any effort. Saki sat there blankly staring up at the imposing figure even as it spoke to her. However, it wasn't fear on her face, she was in awe having never been this close to a Yokai before. Sure, she'd seen them around the village but her uncle had always warned her to stay away from them, not that she was the kind of person to seek out interaction with anyone in the first place. Faced with such a new interaction a million questions had simply shot into her mind and overloaded the poor girl's brain.

Realisation finally dawned on the oblivious girl as Obei spoke to her for a second time with a hint of concern in her voice.
"Ah! S-sorry!" Saki suddenly blurted out as she went all red in the face again. She pulled herself to her feet and bowed slightly, begging forgiveness for staring like an idiot. "No thank you, I'm fine... Obei-san?" She answered confirming that Obei was the Yokai's name as it sounded based on her unique way of speaking. The poor girl was feeling overwhelmed by all the sudden social interaction and the slight panic was beginning to show.

Thankfully Saki was saved from this awkward exchange by Amaya coming over to check on her. Despite feeling fine she was more than happy to go along with the examination if only to save her from embarrassing herself to death. Following the finger with her eyes proved no problem, there was no sign of a concussion in the girl. Amaya seemed happy with her condition and thanked Saki for her help. She simply returned a small nod in acknowledgement, not really feeling as though it was an action that required thanks. Saki was about to speak but cut herself off as Amaya announced she was returning to her previous task. To Saki it came across like she was done with her, failing to pick up on the cue that both of them were equally socially awkward. Amaya was simply reacting to a situation that was just as uncomfortable to her as it was to Saki. It was only now that she was becoming all too aware of her situation that she finally noticed the dog hanging around. She was confused to say the least but she wouldn't complain, the comfort of patting a dog would be a great help to her nerves right now. Reaching over to the dog to give it some good head pats a warm smile spread across her face, dogs really were the best. Especially the kind that magically appeared right when you needed to pat one.

At a bit of a loss as to what to do seemingly having failed at her attempt to seek help from Amaya before she even tried, Saki returned her attention to the looming giant. She looked so strong and she was so curious about Yokai. Her curious nature got the best of her as she spoke to Obei once more.
"Uhm Obei-san... You're an Oni, right?" She asked without even thinking that might be rude. "Is it true they have their own type of Jutsu?" She spoke a little more confidently, the excitement somewhat balancing out her nerves. "Ah… I mean... You must be really strong!" She stumbled over her words, not entirely sure if she just wanted to know more about the Oni or if she dared ask her for help training.

Once again Amaya saved Saki from herself, that was fast becoming a welcome habit. Amaya explained that she wanted to use herself as a subject for a study. To anyone else that might have sounded dangerous but to Saki it just sounded like reflex training. She was up to the challenge, not that she had much experience with thrown weapons but what could go wrong?
"I can help with that.” She replied with a nod. "In exchange could you help me practice my jutsu? It's embarrassing but I really don't know what I'm doing...” She trailed off sounding a little sad, not really one to sugar coat things, especially about herself. However, it looked like she might get what she wanted out of this interaction anyway so hopefully that wouldn't be a problem much longer.

I’m Yuki-Onnit!!!

(This is the post jenni was responding to, I moved it here)

Yua held her breathe as her friend gave her a high speed hug all whilst beginning to wash away the Yokais guilt and fears in a single sentence, Yua stiffing a little and her sadness filled eyes on the twins as they too spoke words of assurance and welcome, Yuas idiom blurring as tears welled up with feelings of relief. Yuas eyes shut as she reach up and hugged her fears back tightly, burying her face into Aiyumes shoulder, releasing a long squeak like noise of the energy of her built up sadness and fear being released, the importance and meaning that her friends did not react as she feared making her behind to cry out of happiness and a bit of shame for not trusting them, but mostly the prior. Yua squeezed tight and cried for a few seconds, rocking back and forth whilst quivering a little and then would release Aiyume, wiping at her face and trying to smile at them before starting to speak Yua d..doesn’t know h.how she can express her relief and how m.much it means that her friends feel the way they do. Yua is ashamed to admit that she was scared that you all would view her the way that others have in the past and she was wrong to think this way about her Pack of friends.... Yua is a Yokai and so because of fear among other things... she didn’t believe in you all like she should have...! She would say as the relief was clear in her tone, although this shifted at the end with her admission, a clear note of disappointment in herself was present.

She nervously fidgeted with her hands and looked to the side and took another deep breathe and then gave a serious expression as she gazed at them Yua promises that she will never make this mistake again, she now realizes you are all truly different than those from before and sincerely care about Yua.... Yuas see you all as her... uhm what’s the term.. ah yes! You are all Yuas best friends forever..!? Its was clear by her tone that she meant these words greatly, even if there was uncertainty in her tone with the phrase she chose to use that in Yuas understanding of human social relationships(through television mostly) was the greatest form of everlasting friendship that humans had(beyond love, plutonic or other), even if the phrase likely sounded like a weird choice of words when combine with her seriousness in how she all of this. This quite possibly would make what she said sound meaningful but also be sort of dorkishly funny and cute due to there were so many better choices of words she could have used, with her mouth in a small, well-meaning and hopeful smile, the gaze in her eyes strongly screaming “believe me, Im totally serious about this!” The Yuki-onnas eyes almost sparkled as she seem to be rapidly bouncing back based on her body language, although she was more bracing it in until the others acknowledged and hopefully accepted her words, the girl would be visibly uplifted at that point, although if the opposite was expressed it would be a travesty! Yua hadn’t yet picked up on the tension going on between Seo, Hotaru and Aiyume, even if was only on a low simmer and the worst of it had passed while she had been in holding.

"Well, I guess that means no high expectations for me! I never been on a date too!" laughed Aiyume. Aiyume's eyes narrowed at Seo's response that she did what she thought was needed. Bullshit. Aiyume growled as her sharp canines were showing towards Seo. Yua snapped out of it and was crying which means the Lightning guards didn't need to be involved in this. Tsuta was gone for now but Aiyume could smell her, she was inside the academy building for some odd reason. Now distracted by hugging and soft tackling Yua, she decided for Yua's sake, to leave Seo alone for the time being. She can called her out in a more private area and not in front of Yua. as Aiyume noticed she has pulled her close and even dogs from miles away can sense, this, she was crying. "There there," Aiyume reassured, albeit awkwardly. Her hands rubbed Yua's back, not sure if she was doing this right because this was the first time Aiyume had to console someone ever since she was a teenager. The Inuzuka hoped that the rubbing of the back would help her calm down, it was the same idea as petting a distressed dog? Right? Once Yua got it out, she pulled back as Aiyume smiled warmly. "That's great! We're here to help! That's what we do!" Aiyume said warmly with an upbeat to her words. With a nod, "Yep! That's what we are! A great pack of best friends forever!"

-----------

Tsuta huffed a bit when she was requested to stay, showing that she was going to stay. Once Ayama had made her way out, she requested Tsuta to come as she wiggled her way out. Saw the hand, Tsuta sniffed on it for a bit, hot air can be felt on the hand before she licked few times and rubbed her head underneath's Ayama's hand, hoping for some scratches on her ears.

Instead, Ayama seemed to be distracted by the other unusual scent as Tsuta huffed in frustration that might've sounded like a bit of a cough. Lo and behold! Another hand that wanted to give her some scratches? Tsuta walked over with a beat in her steps as she sat down by Saki as she leaned her head against Saki's thigh for more pettings. Soon, that warmth too, left Tsuta as she whined a bit, almost complaining like. Her head lifted in an attempted to see this massive figure, but it wasn't enough. Determined, the dog with the blue scarf around her sat back at her hind legs and pushed herself up, her front paws resting and used for balance as she lifted her head. She wasn't able to see that much more as Tsuta sat back down and let a huff of hot air out of her nostrils. Training! She knew that word! Excited bark escaped from her throat as she dug into the mess and got out a bokken. Held the hilt between her teeth, she growled playfully, her butt in the air with a wagging tail and hilt between her teeth, she was ready! And boy, this dog got some tricks up in her sleeve!

Obei felt bad for the small being that was currently a fledgling shinobi here in Arashi. The giant woman's pale, gauntlet laced hand would be graced with the warmth of the much smaller girl's hand. By proxy of contact, Saki might have feel the ice cold temperature of the pale woman's hand, akin to shoving one's hands into a freezer for an hour. As she returned to her two feet, Obei recalled her hand with the same attention as a one would with something fragile. Obei would simply watch as the girl couldn't help but marvel at her with the same stoic, maybe slightly sullen expression on her face. It was common for her since she had been a child. Always bigger than the rest. It was likely what caused her so much annoyance in the day-to-day life of an Arashi-nin. Everything was made for people much smaller than her. "Good. Obei glad not hurt." The seven foot woman let out a huff as her ever cold hands would somehow miss that had that previously brief feeling of warmth in their grasp. Her attention was soon drawn to the animal that had wandered in, likely the companion of the girl here or somebody else. She had always found dogs cute, though shyed away from getting one since she likely would crush it from hugging it even a single time. Attached to the canine was another girl, whose pale skin and white hair reminded Obei of her own in a way. The oni got the feeling that she was a bit skittish based on her bit of hesitance to come closer near when she had first come into the room to assist Saki in escaping from the mountain of chairs. A crimson pupil fell onto the girl across from them. It wasn't meant to be mean or menacing but more inquisitive. Was she going to stand there all day and not come up to help her presumed friend or classmate? After awhile, the pale girl would choose to step closer to Obei and the girl in front of her. A check up, just to see if she was in good health. Obei knew very little of medical jutsu so it was very likely that she was probably a jutsu of some kind in her mind. It was confusing. Very confusing.

It took a few tests of waving her finger around for her to pronounce Saki was in good health. The taller woman did feel a tad better from the quick diagnosis that nothing outright appeared to be wrong. The moment that she was given the go ahead, the blue haired child would prod at the oni in question while Obei looked over at her. She was slowly opening up more and more to Arashi, which made her stoic face reveal a more cheerful Obei, even if it was only slight at the moment. Saki likely had seen her eyes have a bit more comfort in them now that she was doing better while rambling off about asking if she was an oni. Obei would nod to her question. "Obei is oni. A cold one. Very cold." It was pretty apparent what she meant by her description but would continue to answer her question. Something about the way that the younger generation was always so curious about the world reminded her of when she first came down from the mountaintops. Always the curious one. Then she came across a certain woman in the Falls and the rest was written in history. Before she could answer again, Saki would stammer out something else as Obei let out a huff of confusion. "It okay. Oni have jutsu. Saketon." She motioned to a large gourd that was perched on her waist, about the size of Saki's foot up to her knee. It was color a bone white with some lettering across the side and a thick cap on top. "Obei make saketon herself. Good drink but not for you. Will get sick. Very sick. Comes from here." Obei pointed to the protrusion coming from her forehead, leaning closer to Saki could feel it if she so wished. It wasn't flesh or sensitive, just a thick tusk-like part of her body that was a chilled as Obei, though only mild. "Obei show you if want."

But then the other girl spoke up about needing practice with training. It would involve throwing a weapon at her and her (hopefully) dodging just in time to prevent herself from becoming part of the wall behind her. Before Obei could voice her disapproval, Saki would step up and volunteer herself. Another huff came from her. Was she this danger seeking when she was young? "Obei stay in case you two get hurt. Help train if want." she offered, though shooting a glance at the white haired girl out of concern. She wasn't really the type who looked to belong on the battlefield. Obei wondered if she likely knew just how dangerous this idea of hers seemed. "Will be okay?" she asked her. "What if training go wrong?"
