Just graduating from high school. This summer I'll have boot camp after I join the National Guard and then starting in fall I'm going to be attending ECPI technical college for a BS in computer and information systems.

@Psy: Yeah, if everything goes as planned I'll also be able to buy a small house or a town house at the end of summer. Keeping my fingers crossed, but so far it looks good.

They just made boot easier, so I better not hear you griping about it later xd They say their focusing more on war-fare in an urban environment now, i.e. Iraq.

Yeah, I decided on National Guard, the only thing holding me back was my being diagnosed with asthma. I got that all cleared up now though, and I just have to see if my recruiter needs the papers from my doctor first or if we can start everything in motion now. With the $20,000 signup bonus, 100% tuition coverage, and 4 days pay for one weekend a month.. it's worth the risks involved. And I've only mentioned the monetary benefits. I'm anxious to meet some of the other people there and some of the things that I'll be taught.
Easier boot, eh? No complaints from my end I suppose. I'm anxious to get it all in motion.

dang, 20k. When I enlisted I got 6, and that was damn good. Dont tell too many 'old dogs' what you got, they'll grip that in their day they didnt get a bonus and were just happy to enlist. It is pretty much true, bonus' didnt start til 'recently'
