-----{ A } scowl marred the young man's face before Wan's eyes when the Raikage's gaze settled upon his uncle's stowed head. He knew why the younger man was angry, of course, as there had been several comments about it along the way, but in truth Wanryoku feared releasing his uncle. There were reasons he was a feared general of his father's army, for the man knew how to fight. Adding that now, somehow, he knew how to use ninjutsu of a sort that Wanryoku had never seen? No, he dared not release the man while within the confines of the village, not alone. With the Raikage near they could subdue him, however, and so now he knew it was time. Time to release his uncle, though within the privacy of a dungeon, or at the very least a sealed room.
-----Taking a deep breath, Wanryoku leaned forward and pressed his palms to his knees, using his strength to leverage his large bulk into a standing position once more. With Kaileer's back to him the Raikage would never see the wobble within his knee, the knee his father had shattered as punishment over a decade ago. Standing erect, pushing the pain away, the adviser moved to follow the leader of his village, to advise him of what was to come. Or rather, what was hopefully never going to come, for looking around at the village now, seeing the genin and jounin struggling to learn, he worried for their future. Shinobi of their age would be met with soldiers that had half a decade more of experience, and nearly a decade more worth of bloodshed. Killing was in their bones, whether against man or beast mattering little. From the way Miko had looked at causing the death of two individuals it was clear that the prospect of murder was clear in their training, but actually committing it? Something else entirely, something few, if any, were ready to pull off even if a berserker came screaming at them with an axe large enough, and sharp enough, to bisect a man in a single swing.
-----Shaking away such dour thoughts, Wanryoku followed after his companion, knowing full well that care had to be taken, lest he scare the young Raikage away for good this time.

"I am the sword in the Darkness...

He remained quiet and saw the people around him slowly melt away. He would not deal with them now, he had to train, he had to become stronger, that was all that mattered for now, and for a long time. He picked up his bow from the ground. He brought the arrow into position and this time took two arrows and knocked them, but held them there for a little while. He breathed in and out, focusing his chakra on to the metal arrows. Once the chakra laced the arrows, their tips began to glow, then, Axel spun in a circle and loosed both arrows at different times, sending them on to two different targets. While he didn’t hit either in the bullseye, or anywhere near it for that matter, the metal projectiles did get lodged inside of the target marker.

[Skill: Multitasking]

Once his body came to a stop, he reached down and grabbed two arrows. The Chunin tilted his bow slightly, and then scanned the area around him and saw that there were no suitable targets for the training of this next technique. He let go of his arrows and walked toward a tree, where he removed his target marker and then placed it right next to another tree, so he could successfully train the next technique. He moved back to his position about fifty meters away. The redhead picked up the arrows and then prepped the bow by tilting it slightly. He knocked the two arrows, placing them on the bowstring and then loosed them. The arrows ripped through the air and stabbed their very tip on to their intended target, very near to their center.

[Two Shot Spread]

For the next technique, the young Chunin crouched. He moved his foot forward to stabilize his body and held on to his bow firmly, but found it that to make a shot like this would prove very awkward indeed. He returned to a standing position and looked around him thoroughly, placing increased attention on to the trees that speckled the retired portion of the Dojo. He exhaled and jumped high enough for him to be able to grasp one of the low lying branches with his free hand. Quickly, the red head jolted himself up higher than that branch up to a sturdier branch. Once there, he crouched, extending his foot forward. He knocked an arrow on the bowstring and loosed it from his position. The arrow barely made a noise, and to any onlooker it would have seemed to have come out of nowhere.

[Crouching Stance]

For his next technique, Axel flashed some hand signs and created more iron sand and then molded it into arrows inside his pocket. He pulled one of the arrows and laced it with chakra and held it tight in his hand. According to what the scroll said, he was suppoced to make his chakra release on the arrow the moment he let it loose, thus making the arrow release a loud sound which was meant to incapacitate, or at the very least annoy, those that heard it. He assumed the position once more, crouching and extending a leg forward, putting most of his weight on it. Once he was in position he knocked the arrow and held it there for a moment as he picked a target. The top half of his body moved as he switched from three different targets and eventually he decided to go for the one on the hard left. He let go of the arrow and missed the mark, but from the moment he released it, the sound of a thousand cicadas buzzing in unison filled the outside training area.

[Wailing Spector]

For his last technique in the Uwame style in this training session, Axel filled his arms and legs with chakra to the point where if he added a little more, it would begin to be visible. He could feel the chakra, especially in his legs, vibrating as if his Raiton chakra was the essence behind the technique, but his reading on his family’s scroll let him know that this was not in fact what was going on, instead, this was the way that the effect of the technique he was using let itself be known to the user. He dropped form the tree and ran forward much faster than he ever had while strictly walking, or running, himself. It was incredible, the uses for a technique such as this were unimaginable for him.

    Miko Tengoku || Kumogakure | Genin [C-rank] || Class :: Puppeteer/ Sensor || Chakra :: 675/675 || Stamina :: 240/240
Miko would enter the Dojo pretty much just as dawn was breaking hurrying along to the library to try and gather as much information so that she could perform her tactics as soundly as possible. Looking around there really wasn't anyone around and since she figured there was a little time before Missions more official start time Miko would put down her things to the side and take to the training grounds one last time to try and master the jutsu she was aiming for before the missions start. Miko had a short amount of time to prepare or even read them but the scrolls she'd dug up had been in her sights long before this day, but she'd never found a good time to work out this kind of training when she could be alone and focus.

Taking the scrolls she'd need to learn and quickly laying them out before herself Miko would scry her eyes over the texts quickly trying to visualize the information as if to gain a pseudo-photographic memorization of the words, but in all reality she'd lack that talent in particular. Yet being a natural quick study in general didn't hurt her in the lest as she'd make her space for practice outside.Miko's knowledge of the jutsu was in general that she could spread a sense of herself like a shadow over a wide area, but coupled with her natural strength in information gathering Miko wondered just how effective this jutsu would be for her. The progression of details she might be able to discover on her own might be incredible, but the point wasn't to just rely on her sensory jutsu from now on. Miko needed to use her jutsu in sparing and focused detail to get the best out of her abilities to support her squad. As a person who'd failed so drastically before in bringing an end to things where she could honestly say her abilties informed her allies without setting them into a panicked chaos, well there were a number of things she'd gotten wrong. Still here right now Miko could make the change, and with the appropriate hand-signs she'd form with one hand she'd mark her target visually at a distance from herself and then would crouch down.
Hofuku Kageboushi [ Creeping Silhouette ] Rank: B [1/2]

Drawing her mind to remain focused in part to this jutsu she'd feel the depth of awareness she'd already held from her training expanding several meters more than she'd ever been able to perceive before. It wasn't necessarily clear as to what the entire area held but the span of the dojo easily fit into the range of her jutsu as it made contact with anything that touched the ground with in the area of 50 25 square meters. Miko remained silent as she'd tried to put as much of her focus into this as she could. The chakra pools of the creatures around her became clear and the depth of their energy seemed to be relatively apparent as well. Their physical abilties and other things seemed to become all the more clear as the moments ticked by and Miko would let out a slow sigh of relief as she'd sensed the wholeness of this jutsu taking to her mind and body not just the area it covered but she felt like...maybe this jutsu was something essential to her as an individual.
[2/2]

Moving on to the next Jutsu Miko would once again think about the appropriate preparations to the jutsu. Being in the land of lightening made it a great aid in working with the nature of the environment to her advantage, but to sped the storm clouds along Miko would use a Fuuton Jutsu to speed up the foot work needed to complete this jutsu's use. Lowering the air pressure with Teikiatsu no Jutsu [ Low Air Pressure Technique ] Miko could cause the humidity in the air to condensate and focus into more cloud coverage. It too her a short moment and the day had officially broken by the time she'd completed the preparations yet the deed was done. the clouds weren't ominous or anything but they covered the morning sky enough to cause the sky to be just breakign down through the clouds. Sky cast in a twilight of day and night over head Miko would find some odd joy in the imagery as it seemed to fit her personal flare. Standing on line with the light and dark just felt right to her.
Ukojizai no Jutsu [ Fierce Raining at Will ] Rank: X_Trained at B-rank_ [1/2]

Forming the hand signs Miko would project more chakra from about her entire frame as it permeated from her being invisibly like rising smoke. The sky would seem to loom over head quietly as a wind would pick up and sweep her hair to the north just as a stray drop of water would hit Miko's nose. "Che-hehehe hehehehehehe, Yeah, Bring it byatch! Rain on me~"
A crude expression of joy but Miko was previously always under the impression that having no affinity for Suiton meant she'd never be able to tap into water manipulation, and in some sense this wasn't that. Rather it was placing her sensory molded chakra affinity and skill permeate the clouds to cause the sky to act as her information network. Whatever was under this sky would become known to Miko in an instant and in someways the information came on too sudden for her to truly call this mastering a jutsu. Woozy and staggering as she'd almost fall to a knee to try and catch herself Miko would muster some resolve to push through the shock of this new sensation. This hadn't been her first massive Chakra sensing technique, but the magnitude and the advanced nature of it's detail for whatever obstructed it's path...This was a new tool for the still budding kunoichi to explore further, but it would suffice for her ends.
[2/2]

Knowing that her teammates weren't likely always going to be able to watch her back and keep her more long ranged combative style protected from those possibly fast enough or stealthy and smart enough to figure out her position Miko needed other tools to cause them some trouble in pinning her down. It was a simple tactic, set traps. There was no real big deal to it, but she wasn't really too familiar with the jutsu. Forming the proper hand seals and applying her jutsu to a rock Miko would then toss said rock at a passing bird. not so hard as to kill the creature, but enough simply to catch it's undercarriage just barely grazing it. The effect seemed instant as the bird fell as if it had been electrocuted and fell from the sky. Running to catch the falling Bird Miko would cradle the creature in her hands before releasing it back into the sky as she'd felt it's heart still beating and the bird rustling in her delicate grasp. As much as Miko liked getting stronger something felt wrong about that last bit. This was a new feeling...it was a fear, and this fear was long over due to her mind set. What if I could be come too powerful, simple actions though innocent in conception would turn violent and treacherous easily if power over exerted it's self. there was a balancing act Miko liked to perceive her persona through, but in all reality she wasn't sure of the rules which framed this balanced for herself or others for that matter.
Go Kasho Fuu: Raikou Seki no Jutsu [ Five Point Seal: Lightning Barrier Technique ] _Touch [Trap]_(C-Rank) [1/1]

Miko would meditate on the revelation she'd had in her last practice effort, but withdrawn from the endeavor of training more before the mission which was imminent Miko would return to the library to find a short leaflet on traps and chakra trap training and regulations and rules as to how to handle ones self when utilizing them. It was a beginners book but it suited her present mind set and skill perfectly. Miko's reading would continue as she'd exit the Dojo taking the loose bit of information from the leaflet to try and develop better precautions for herself as she'd continue down the road towards the village gates.
"Careful consideration of the traps position, trigger(s), and purpose of effective harm. I should aim to incapacitate before killing becomes a option...but I can't falter when the options are narrowed either. Shesh "

Appearance
(( Miko's appearance has been softened a bit by a more colorful arrangement of clothing and certain portions of her hair being dyed green to give it some contrasting color to her favorite hue "Indian Red" Thick leggings, and boots with hight sock peeking over thing wrapped and bound with holsters for knives strapped to her. Matching the color of her signature red shawl/scarf she still wears like a hood over her head and hat. A baggy U-neck sweater had replaced her usual short cut robbed vest she used to wear and yet still shows the same level of room for her to bundle up her hands into her sleeves with ease. A black feather lined black skirt holding a number of bobbles looped through color strings are attacked to a thin studded belt at her waist. Wool finger-less sleeve length gloves are used to keep hidden a number of seals on along her arms. Her another bag with a poison apple symbol was added as an extra means to carry items she might pick up other than those in her mainly used Baroque designed waist strapped back on her back. ))

Resolution: The user is more determined to get fine details from his sensory techniques, but in order to get this type of clarity the user's range of the technique is reduced by half. The user is able to discover type of technique that is about to be active (fuuin, genjutsu, ninjutsu, custom jutsu, complex tai and buki), even specifics such as Bloodline type and rank. Additionally, the user can gain similar information about any chakra source in their sensory technique's range, including what bloodline the person possesses, and how large their chakra pool is.

Technique Name: Buraindotacchi: Douteki Giketsu [Blind Touch: Kinetic Resolution]
Rank: X-Rank (E-S) [Only E-rank right now]
Type: Taijutsu_Training
Element: Taijutsu
Description: A trained physical sensory ability that is an extended and refined blend between ones muscle memory and a heightened sense of touch. Trough training one can “read” and remember kinetic motion of physical objects around themselves as long as some form of motion (vibration) is happening around them, and there after differentiates them specifically committing the sensation to memory. (New sensations are responded to vaguely if not committed to memory/identified already.)
This ability has only a 6-yards [3-yards] cubic range, and works better on the ground/in water. Where vibrations are involved mid-air sensing isn’t exact. The practitioner retains a slight increase in reflexes over their current Rank standard from this ability, and when retrained this boost also increase from slightly, to mildly, to moderately and etc. Though passive this ability drains stamina when used to dodge equal to the rank of the technique being avoided with in the trained limit!

As he traveled through the village Shiro could not help but notice the subtle differences in the architecture from that of his own home. The way the buildings were formed, and the way they were repaired. He made a mental note to actually take the time to wander around the village and check it out later on.

Entering the dojo he took note of the few people that were there. Though he did not make it far before the familiar smells of his old dojo back in Shion filled his senses. For a moment he simply stood there with his right hand shaking. Could he really do this again? Dedicate himself to a new village and run the risk of loosing them all again while he ran away like a coward?

Shaking his head quickly he forced himself forwards into the dojo towards the back where the target ranges were. Pulling his bow free from his back he placed the end on the floor and easily strung the weapon. Taking a deep breath he tested the bowstring. It was a bit tight but then again his bow did have a slightly higher draw weight then most did. Closing his eyes he fell into the training he had spent so many years of his life dedicating to mastering. His body fell in line with the target, his forward foot pointed at the target with his rear perpendicular to the forward.
[1/1] [1/3]

Slowing his breathing down he focused on his training. "Do not rush to draw. Wait until you reach the bottom of your breath. Once you swiftly inhale and draw simultaneously. Do not hesitate. Unleash your bow with precision and intent. Fire." The words rang in his head each and every time he drew his bow for the first time in a session. So as always he drew the bow back hard as he simultaneously inhaled and brought it up to aim down the sight at the target.
[1/1] [2/3]

Though as before he did not fire he relaxed his breath and his arm letting it return to its natural state. While his muscles felt overjoyed at the prospect of truly getting into training, it was his heart that did not know about it. It felt wrong to train without Shana, Toshi and the others. Yet now he did not have a choice they were dead and there was nothing he could do about it. Drawing his bow once more he fell into the training. Once he was at full draw he began to pour his chakra into the tip of the arrow. Within a moment the tip of the arrow began to glow bright orange as it drew streaks of orange light in the air until he sent it flying towards the target.
[1/1] [3/3]

As he released the arrow he could not help but feel a small rush of emotions. First, as before, the relief to be training again, but secondly the inability to shake the feeling that he was no longer meant to do something like this. To him, despite being ordered to leave he abandoned his comrades. Without meaning to, small amounts of his chakra began seeping from his back as he relaxed his frame.
[1/2] [1/3]

With each breath the faint traces of orange chakra began to unfurl from his back. Much to his subtle enjoyment, the room around him also started to smell faintly of oranges. As the aura began to solidify on his arms he allowed his body to move of its own desires. Within the span of a mere second his right arm shot behind his back, took hold of an arrow, and had it knocked. The instant it was knocked his bow was already drawn and at the ready.
[2/2] [2/3]

While the ruby orange aura continued its dance upon the flesh of his arms, Shiro allowed once more his memories to return to his initial training with Serena. "Chakra is the power that results of mixing mental and physical energy. With it the impossible can become reality." In this case it was his objective of nailing the bulls eye at one hundred yards.
[1/2] [3/3]

Taking a deep breath Shiro closed his left eye as he began to pour his chakra into his right eye. Again, as before, he could the faint scent of oranges. Though he drove that to the back of his mind as always. Inhaling quickly he drew his bow to take aim at a target that was one hundred feet away from him on the very far side of the range. Aiming down the shaft of the arrow he was quite pleased to see that his vision had zoomed to the target. It was no longer a matter of if he could see the target, it was a matter of where did he want to hit the target. Unleashing his arrow he watched it sail through the air and slam just below the "chin" of the target. A guaranteed kill shot if it was a human being.
[2/2]

The satisfaction he felt upon seeing his target being hit at that range, while genuine, was mixed with no small amount of pride. Not in himself but in his master for teaching him the fundamentals which allowed him to succeed in making a strike like that. Though this was a different matter from before, and shots like that proved it. It also raised the question of how he would address the flaws that were inevitably going to be in his arrows.
[1/2]

The answer, make his own, right here and now. It wasnt such a strange concept, after all he had seen and felt Serena do it and if she could do it so could he. Holding his grip loose he slowed his breathing as before. Instead of concentrating his chakra into his bow or his arms he instead chose to concentrate it into his pointer finger and thumb. Much to his pleasure he watched as his will began to manifest itself in the form of an orange arrow made of pure chakra. Knocking the arrow he drew back and fired the orange bolt. The arrow flew true and fast yet when it impacted the target it did not stop and instead seared a hole directly through it. Giving a bit of a wry smile he chuckled and unstrung his bow. That was enough training for now.
[2/2]

With practiced hands Shiro easily fastened his bow to the quiver on his back. Making his way out onto the range he retrieved his arrows and returned them as well to the quiver. With a satisfied huff Shiro headed out of the building.

I chuckle after leaving the Raikage's office, sure that I must've made my impression, despite it being reckless. Like, damn. If it had been windy, I would been in trouble... But oh well. I made my impression, showed that my grades at the academy don't show exactly what I am capable of. I think about the cute older girl that had come running up as the door opened. She seemed like she knew what she was doing, but also seems a bit ditsy, in my opinion. Hopefully she will prove me wrong on that one, there are too many ditsy girls around as it is. I chuckle again.

I wander through the village to my house, but from outside I can hear some shouting. "Damn, dad pissed off mom again. Guess I won't be getting a nap anytime soon...." I notice a scroll sitting in the window. "I wonder if that's..." I go up and grab it. "It is! The scroll of Nara jutsu! I'm finally allowed to learn these, so I bet this was for me." A devilish grin crosses my face as I hide under the window, scroll in hand. "Wouldn't they be surprised if I came home knowing some of these?!" As soon as that idea leaves my mouth I like it and run to the Academy.

I get there and burst through the front door. I look around for a dojo or training area that might be available. I see the first door is open so I go look in. I see someone that appears to be another Genin practicing with a bow in there. I sit just outside there door watching for a couple moments. "He's pretty good" I mutter to myself, "Maybe I should have him teach me some time." Then I remember that I use a sword, not a bow. "Well, it was an idea anyway. Maybe one day." With that I turn and leave him to his practice and go to find another room.

I go upstairs, groaning as I realize I haven't gotten my nap yet. Well, this IS the academy and no non-shinobi are supposed to be here. Maybe a quick nap couldn't hurt....

No. I need to get at least one or two of the jutsu down first. Can't take TOOO long. I am a Nara after all. I notice an open room and go inside to train. "First things first," I mutter, "Which jutsu can I learn?"

I open the scroll and the list of jutsu's is there.

"Kageton: Endai Yami [ Shadow Release: Far Reaching Darkness ]

followed by gibberish. Damn, there must be some sort of seal on this that prevents me reading the higher rank techniques. Oh well, I don't need those anyway. For now lets start with the D ranks."

I move to the center of the room, with half the lights on, thinking that if I'm gonna learn Nara techniques I might want some shadows. I lay the scroll out in front of me and look to the first technique.

Endai Yami: D rank
Ok, I've seen dad use this one while in the kitchen, he just does the hand signs *does hand signs* and focuses. I focus in, closing my eyes, tuning myself into the nature of the room, focusing on the shadows around me. I send chakra flowing to points on my shoulders, and will the shadows to gather there. I repeat this twice beforeI feel any change. I open my eyes, and there sit these two shadowy arms upon my shoulders. [1/1]
Endai Yami: Learned

I look back at the scroll, after dissipating the shadowy arms. "I suppose the next one I should do is Kage Kibou, seeings as I don't know shadow sewing yet and I think dad wanted to teach me that one. Alright, lets get to it!"

Kage Kibou: Rank D
I read the description and think about how to manipulate the shadows into an illusion of sorts. I execute the hand seals and focus in. I will the chakra to flow through me, into the shadows and manipulate the shadows, willing them to move as I see fit. I will them into an indistinct figure just beyond my peripherals. Success. [1/1]
Kage Kibou: Learned

I pant a little as I release the illusion. Ok, that one will need some practice to make it more powerful, but that could be extremely useful. I look out the window at the sky and decide I have time for one more. "Let's see..." Kage no Yaiba catches my eye "Hmm a shadow blade. THAT could be fun. Hmm rank C, ok whatever. I can do that."

Kage no Yaiba: Rank C
I pull my sword from its sheath on my back and examine it closely, memorizing its ever curve, its every imperfection, and once I am certain I have every feature perfectly memorized, I place it back in it's sheath. I execute the hand signs and stand there, visualizing my sword appearing in front of me wrapped in darkness. And I reach out my hand to the hilt of the sword and grasp it, but it is imperfect. So I try again, and again, for hours until I get it right, for a sword cannot be half hearted, even if made of shadows. [1/1] As I finish the final time I chuckle to myself. "Who ever said a Nara can't be passionate" I say with a smirk. I have time to reseal the scroll and put it in a pouch on my belt, and then I passed out on the floor.

OOC: A very long post!

Her arrival to the academy for study was timely. Unki went quickly from the Raikage's tower to the Could Academy as soon as her visit was unexpectedly cut-short. It was poor timing to make conversation and regrettable that she was not able to directly express her gratitude to the young Raikage.
There were a handful of others here all ready. It didn't matter if among other genin or higher ranks, Unki was just delighted to be apart of something greater. As it turned out, the village's resources on the subject of scorch stlye, proves to be more than prepared for those in need.
Unki hurries along to gather the scrolls she'd be needing to learn the basics. Unki had no objection to taking the scrolls with her as reference during practice. A second or third look at the study material doesn't truly hinder progress.
As her first item of interest, Unki begins to read over a technique with an extensive set of information to review. So be it. Unki will only have to push her limits to get anywhere if she wanted be to the mistress of her own bloodline.

Now, to actually become the mistress of her own bloodline, Unki would have to learn to refine her unearthed ability so it may become something more than just a way to dry out fish. After a lengthy read over the text, Unki began with a simple and quick breathing exercise to accompany practice of the ability within. [1/5]

The old phrase that everyone starts out small in their line of work is true. She has to start small-marble size- and nothing will happen without a handful of effort. Unki holds her hands apart and places her energy into creating what typically has come naturally through touch. A red spark began to flicker in the space between her palms. The spark evolves quickly into a red glowing marble. A lifting sense of joy- or probably pride- was blossoming about Unki. [2/5]

From the marble, Unki continues with her practice to make the shapely red scorch into something bigger than a few marbles. The air about her hands was beginning to grow warm and she could only expect the heat to strengthen. The girl could only hope the heat wouldn't dry out her hair with the progress she was trying to make, she felt it was too late to try to jostle her hair out of the way. [3/5]

Her scorch chakra was flickering, briefly unable to retain its stature, as if she was beginning to falter. Unki held her breath. She wasn't ready to whimp out, not after just starting, not yet. A shaky inhale and settled exhale to follow, appeared to have soften the rough patch of progress. The scorch chakra was of a larger size now and Unki was ready to try to keep it a float during movement. [4/5]

Unki would have to become prepared to rapidly utilize scorch chakra. Be her scorching heat be executed through a floating shape or touch, during her time as genin would be the opportune time to learn how to find her around. The hard truth was that Unki may be learning about scorch on her own, though, and may be the shinobi to guide another rare scorch "guppy" genin. In the meantime, Unki was beginning to feel very comfortable with her scorch ability as she found herself quite capable of waving her arms with her scorch chakra flowing with her. [5/5] Shaku Soujuu [ Scorch Manipulation | Ability]

Without a willing comrade who is versed in water-based ninjutsu to practice dehydrating, Unki would have to practice the art through focusing. She was certain, despite the lack of water, that the skill could still be conquered. A mist must be produced. [1/12]
Unki reads over the technique again. The goal of the ability appears to be to counter water-based techniques she may come in contact with. A fair start would be to gather her chakra into her hands. [2/12]
She clasps her hands together and assumes a meditative stance. In her mind's eye, Unki begins the process of imagining the flow of chakra into both hands. The sound of her breath flowing in and out filling her focus. [3/12]
It was then, the girl could sense her efforts of focus were beginning to pay off. She could feel the presence of her chakra in her palm and fingers. Unki would lean over to review the technique again. [4/12]
So far, her practice of the water repelling technique was going smooth. One who is to hope on shakuton abilities would want to be able to find a way to out maneuver water-based abilities. While a beloved aspect of nature to Unki, water would be of no service to her against scorch chakra.[5/12]
With a firm grasp on the water repelling technique, however, a little effort should grant Unki a fighting chance to keep a the steam flowing. By now, Unki could see the chakra on her hands. The scorch chakra was light and it was barely visible other than a reddish tint around her hand. [6/12]
From Unki's understanding, red was not the color of her own energy. Red was the color of scorch chakra and yellow was that of her own energy. Her own color, out of sight to Unki, was present in a sparse yellow layer over her shoulders and back. The occasional flicker of yellow was similar to that of a fire which fueled Unki's red scorch bloodline. [7/12]

How could she know if the technique was working? When would the technique start working and performance be at its fullest? To actually see her efforts would truly require water. Ultimately, Unki set off to find any source of water she could use. [8/12]

The search was on. Unki began the scramble for anything she could place her hand in or under to see any sort of evaporation: a decorative fountain, the sink in a water closet, or even an abandoned water bottle. She hurries with her hands in front of her head, careful not to loose track of them and accidentally brush her hands onto someone. Her shakuton chakra was apparent on both hands. [9/12]

A little ways from her study, Unki found a hallway with an academy student washing away at the floors with a bucket at their side. She could only presume the student was under-going punishment and their timing was perfect for her needs. Springing forward, Unki hurries to shove in her hands excitedly into the bucket of water. [10/12]

A waft of steam plumes from the pail. The young student turns from their toil at the hissing sound of water sizzling away. In the moments to follow the student would begin thrashing a soaking wash cloth at Unki, demanding that she stop and would shunt the bucket out from under the ambitious kunochi's arms with a kick. [11/12]

Unki recoils and withdraws quickly back the way she came, fleeing the hallway in an almost-sorry scuttle; a resounding "thwoap" of the soaking rag being slung, likely in her direction, was the last thing she noticed before covering her mouth to giggle about her success with the water repelling technique. [12/12][Mizu Shirizoke [ Water Repelling ]

She felt a flowing sense of success from learning her first real bloodline ability. Now, Unki could return to her study over the scroll; as there was determination to learn about the scorch bloodline even without water at her immediate disposal.
The next item Unki chose was a variation of the clone technique. A dehydrated clone with the sole reason to charge and explode. The text was simple; a temporary shadow clone that is capable of a wide spread blast to slightly dehydrate. Unki forms the seal and applies her chakra. She was surprised when a quick burst of steam unveiled a second Unki. Her mirroring clone looks around for a space open enough to complete the trick. With a hop the clone races off to clash, and explode into scorching stream, at a target dummy.
[1/1] [Kansou no Bunshin [ Scorch Release: Dehydrated Clone |Rank D]

The goal of the following objective is to simply coat hands with chakra that may burn upon contact.
She takes a breath; Unki begins to recollect her chakra into her hands. How much contact her hand were to make with her target was a variable in the technique that determines the amount of moisture that would be dehydrated. As her hands were enveloped in a thin, hazy blur of chakra, Unki would touch the tips of her fingers to exposed skin on her arm. While her own ability cannot dehydrate her being, Unki could still feel the growing burning sensation from her fingertips. [1/1][Moeru [To Burn |Rank D]

During her time in the academy, Unki didn't think of herself as someone who wouldn't dabble too much with small weaponry. Small weapons are essential to shinobi practice- not that Unki would quickly admit this fact- and were more than necessary for more than once instance. She was all ready accustomed to utilizing knives to pry open and take clams from the sea, and until her lessons in the academy, that was all the small weapon work she knew. Tools like shuriken, senbon, and kunai are far more familiar to her now and she's more than willing to take advantage of her newfound skills.

The art of producing fire needles with her chakra was next on her sights. With effort and a single hand seal, the technique is in design to create six red senbon that should hover in front of her. Once more, Unki applies her chakra and sets focus on the materialization of the six small red senbon. The first three needles were unsteady during formation. All six needles were steady to fire. A target dummy would serve Unki very well here. She had no intention of taking aim at any of the others in training, floating about the area, with their own going-ons troubling them. Another hand seal sent the red-hot senbons into the dummy. [1/1] [Kabari |Fire Needle| Rank D] {Mission Completed: Basic Training: Performance | Genin |[3] Post Minimum} x1

She was all abuzz over herself. Unki was thrilled to see what her hard-work would gain her, notably, as she read over the proposed ten fireballs described in a technique. The amount of chakra put forth would turn up small fireballs. To be precise, the girl should be aiming for shuriken sized fireballs. A fireball is a fireball; and a great wildfire takes a healthy spark. [1/2]

The technique had a bit more to it than she expected: the ten fiery "eyes" would hover about a determined area. Unki gave her attempt a go and conjures five of the ten red-tinted fireballs. By the fourth fireball, Unki could say her hold on the technique was stable. The kunochi set her jutsu to appear around a target dummy. "One. Two-two" she announces to herself the appearance of the last five fireballs around the dummy. WIth a total of ten small orbs, Unki initiates the next part of the technique; one by one each fire ball slowly moves onto the target dummy and dissipates. [2/2] [Hijuugan no Jutsu | Ten Fiery Eyes Technique | Rank C]

A stir of glee took her over and she taps her finger tips together a few times, as if clapping. A hum, like a mischievous laugh stemming from wrong-doings, sounds off from Unki as she parades back over the reading material. "Pillars."

A handful of praise to herself was far better than thinking of herself as a mummifying agent of some sort- despite the looming threat of mummification to her enemies should one touch one of the various, suggested pillars of her chakra from the next technique. Unki gave herself another step or two of distance from the target dummy and began, all over again, the gathering of her chakra. The ability appears to have the feel of the ten fire ball technique, as in: the forming of her chakra into something that wouldn't stem directly from her hands, but instead, something that has potential to appear at a distance from her. [1/2]

Unki visualizes the transition of chakra fleeting from hands to ground. She takes in a breath then performs the hand-seals listed in the text. Unki maintains the final hand-seal. Her goal was three pillars and, so far, one steamy pillar had made its entry. The pillar was tall, but not as thin as intended, and a warm reddish color like the previous techniques. The girl would continue and press on with creating four more pillars. With a total of five red pillars around the target dummy, Unki tries her hand at dismissing the technique and chooses to move on with her training.
[2/2] [Kyoujouki no Hitoya |E xtreme Steam Prison | Rank C ] {Mission Completed: Basic Training: Performance | Genin [3] Post Minimum} x2

The next technique was of B rank. There was significance in its effect of lasting for so long, at least from Unki's understanding of text, in comparison to the previous jutsu the kunoichi had pushed herself to learn. In the likeness of a dry desert sun was the technique aptly named. Unki was all ready practicing the hand-seals she would need. [1/3]

At most, Unki would attempt the creation of the palm sized sphere of her scorch chakra. She wouldn't want to unleash the chakra sphere in the building and potentially harm anyone else around. She gave the technique a try and applied her chakra. Unki had then managed a marble sized sphere; a very small scorch was what Unki had expected on her first try. [2/3]

The conclusion was simple, she would need to apply more chakra and a heap of focus. Unki takes a deep breath before going about replicating the steps. She then closes her hands together, disperses the scorch marble, and starts re-pooling her energy into her hands. Her second attempt for a larger scorch sphere came out more ideal than the first: Unki opens her palms to compile a larger sphere- sharing a similar size of a beach ball- that was clear reminder of her earlier training. The last step would be to allow the bright sphere to ascend above, however, this indoor location of the academy insists Unki to disperse the scorch sphere. [3/3]Sabakuhi [ Desert Sun ] Rank B

Unki rolls up the bloodline scroll, huirres to exchange it from the shelves for a wind based scroll, and returns out in the open to practice. Start simple, she advised herself while running a finger over the first item of interest: projectile control technique.

The purpose of the skill lies with intention to redirect projectiles in the user's favor. Unki would collect a single shuriken from her supply pouch, reads over the instruction of the technique, and practices the required hand-seal. A false attempt at creation of a breath of wind. Unki aims her shuriken at the target dummy, the same which endured the scorching heat of her previous practice, and throws the small star-shaped blade in its direction. Quickly following, Unki performs the hand seals again, this time utilizing her energy, and appears to adjust her weapon's trajectory to the space of wall above the dummy's head. [1/1][Tobidougu Soujuu no Jutsu | Projectile Control Technique ] Rank E

The small shuriken failed to stick in the wall and fell to the floor. The perfect set-up to learn the next item was lying in front of her. The retrieving wind technique would pull small objects forward to Unki, who took a fair glance at the information about the technique. She would try her hand at the needed seals. Her focus was fixed on the lone shuriken; Unki was ready for the wind. She would mimic the hand-seals, apply her chakra, and listens to the light, rewarding, scuffing sound of the small metal blade sliding toward her. Unki collects the shuriken, which was pushed a few steps forward from where she stood, and returns it to her supply pouch. [1/1]
Toridashi Kaze no Jutsu [ Retrieving Wind Technique |Rank: E] {Mission Completed: Basic Training: Meditate |Genin [5] Post Minimum}

Without haste, Unki would return to the shelves and switch out the wind scroll for a fire-based scroll. A few items during her reading of lesser ranking techniques caught her attention. She takes a seat on the floor to resume her training.

Ichi, as the technique is known, begins as a chakra molding exercise. Unki's hands assume the tiger seal and she begins to focus her energy onto the tip of an index finger. A small accumulation of heat was the desired result. Unki releases her hands from the other, with hold still in the tiger seal, and presses two of her fingers to her mouth to test for unusual warmth. A touch to her lips only lasts a few seconds; the excessive warmth was a sign of success. [1/1] Ichi [ One ] Rank: E ]

Ni, a slightly more significant improvement to Ichi, would require more focus onto what she all ready had. Once learned, Unki would be able to mold her chakra into two fingers and generate enough heat so that a strike with her middle and index fingers could burn through clothing; given that contact onto cloth was long enough. At this point, damage to skin isn't anything note-worthy and must be insignificant. However, Ni would be strong enough to metallic strings. [1/3]

On top of what she's done thus far, Unki returns to holding her hands together in the tiger seal. Her index finger was still warm to the touch. The present heat was a good sign to Unki, as a sign of hard-work that could only get more difficult but all the more rewarding. The thought of the lack of metallic string to test her practice on came and went, the sooner such thoughts were shoved out of focus was better for training in the long run. [2/3]

Unki works herself back onto her feet. She felt that enough time had been poured on her hand. Eyeing the target dummy, Unki would approach the stationary figure made of wood and singed straw. The straw, with ends sticking out from its form, would make a decent material to slice. Dried grass was no replacement for finely strung metal, but Unki still needed visible proof of her learned ability to burn with two fingers. With one hand, Unki would take hold of some ends of the straw between her fingers. With the grass positioned outward to see its length, with her opposing hand and its unusually warm fingers, Unki ran her fingers over the straw. In accordance with her work, the pieces of grass split in two. [3/3] Ni [Two] Rank: D

A change of pace and returning to basics was a much needed change from Unki's current choices of ninjutsu. She would go to return the fire scroll and collect another scroll. The new scroll was centered on non-elemental jutsu. She all ready has the ability she wants to learn in mind: a technique Unki has seen utilized by her superiors from a far, the body flicker technique. The steadfast kunoichi was quick to find her choice in the scroll and began to read. [1/3]

The text describes how the user will disappear and appear in an instant. Use of the jutsu will also grant some sort of vibe about the area before its use, like a warning to those near that something will happen. All one appears to need is a hand-seal and maybe an extra element, for effect? The room which made up Unki's surroundings was fairly tidy; thus there wasn't too much to use as ,what Unki would call, flair to the jutsu. [2/3]

Unki had returned to stand by the, now familiar, target dummy to give the flicker technique a test. She dares herself to reappear on the other side of the room. Unki rolls up the maruton scroll, goes to hold it under her arm, and performs the seal. She imagines herself, one day, using this technique at lightning speeds to escape danger. Day dream aside, Unki experiences the blur that is the instant travel and manages to reappear only a step or two from where she hoped. [3/3] Shunshin no Jutsu [ Body Flicker Technique |Rank: D]{Mission Completed: Basic Training: Meditate |Genin [5] Post Minimum}

A long sigh of relief escapes her. So far, this has been an eventful day: Unki had hurried to officially receive her headband from the Raikage, learned more about her bloodline, and added a few necessary jutsu into her arsenal. Despite feeling a tad drained, Unki took a moment to softly, but excitedly, wave her arms as if she held two noise-makers that would've been whirling in celebration. "Go me." She would say softly.

I wake up a short while later and see that it is getting dark outside. "s**t." I mutter to myself. I pull out my gloves and mask with goggles, as well as my long socks while pulling up my hood and rolling down my long sleeves. "I hate doing this, but I can't risk going berserk in the village." I remember hearing mention of a mission to learn jutsu after leaving the academy the other day. I shrug. I might as well go take care of that. I go to leave the academy and head for the Kage's tower, assuming I need to talk to someone there about it. I pause at the threshold of the academy, pulling my goggles on and making sure no skin is exposed before making my way outside

Sukai sat in the corner of the academy with her long alabaster legs crossed, her eyes closed, mediating. Occasionally her fingers would twitch hanging past her knees. Deep in thought, trying to find her internal chi. The medic didn't know how long she had been in the academy mediating, the minutes passed by all to fast. All she did was monitor her vitals, counting her heartbeat, etc. Tremendously bored, but still too timid to get up and talk to those around her, they were training none the less and she didn't want to bother them.

Making his way back into the tower he was still miffed about the rudeness of his patient in the hospital but pushed it to the back of his mind for now. Heading to the back of the building he happened to come across a group of shinobi that were training in a very odd style.

Putting a smile onto his face, Shiro crossed the room and asked if he could join them, which naturally they allowed since they were just starting with the basics. So taking his place he listened as the instructor went over the details of how to do the basic wall climbing without the use of chakra. Something Shiro was sure to find useful. So when they were ready they were assigned a ten foot tall section of wall to run and with a quick hop, Shiro dashed forwards. Just when he reached the wall he pointed his toes as hard as he could and used them to gain what traction he could as he quickly realized he was easily scaling the wall.
[1/1]

Now that they had learned how to go up, they were going to cover how to come back down and not snap their necks upon landing. So listening carefully to the instructor he noted the specifics of the ability. The basics of it was to disperse his chakra into his legs so that when he made contact with the ground he could then disperse it and his momentum into the ground below him. As before he took his place and prepared himself. Upon the instructors signal he began to concentrate his sunburst colored chakra into his legs causing the faintest scent of oranges to color the air. When they were given the go he quickly dashed across the floor and up the wall to the very top. From there he flipped backwards into the air and landed with a hardy thump alongside the rest of his fellow students.
[1/1]

Next they were going to get into something a bit more aggressive. Which to him, according to the way the instructor explained it, was nothing more than a fancy flying dropkick. Though it did have one important difference, that was that upon clearing the target they were to launch off their legs to back flip back to where they were. Now that, that sounded fun. So taking his place he waited for the signal before as before rushing forwards. This time he lept off the ground prior to reaching the target and planted his foot dead into its chest sending it skidding. Upon landing he flexed his leg muscles hard and propelled himself back up into the air the way he had came. With a midair flip he landed back onto his feet with a wide smile adorning his face.
[1/1]

Though his smile quickly left his face as he felt a sharp pain in his left shoulder. Wincing slightly he excused himself and headed out.

Opening the first scroll. A staple it seemed. One that consumed a lofty sum of chakra. However, the lofty sum seemed negligible as what it offered made up for more than enough. Meisai Gakure. True invisibility. Toso would hence sit and continually perform the handsigns in repetition. While this was an unnecessary requirement due to his tie ins with the art of the brush he felt it still necessary. He would then for but a brief half second vanish and reappear. It came naturally it seemed. Like most cephalopods camouflage came naturally so the naturality was most natural. His thorough understanding of this process seemed to aid him all the more with his current mindset. [A:Meisai Gakure no Jutsu [ Camouflage Concealment Technique ] [4/4]

After tying up the scroll he politely returned it the whence it came. Liori's aerial reconnaissance proved invaluable before while he was capable of doing so it comes at a more obvious price. Perhaps taking to the sky himself would lead to more advantageous situations. Toso almost felt somewhat guilty as techniques that were beyond using ink proved only that much more difficult to reproduce. Still without the ability become part of the earth like Liori the only way to compensate was to be part of the wind. So reading up on the scroll he had received taking to the skies would be that simple. The term air superiority came to mind. Capitalizing on mobility was one of his strong suits after all. [ A:Tandokuhikou [ Solo Flight ] 4/4 ]

The squid would then draw his brush and go outside having already seemingly caught on to the the techniques he proceeded outwards towards the training field in which he would train further only after acquiring the information of two more scrolls. The following technique would compensate for his poor sensory abilities in the field. Handsigns didn't seem necessary. The techniques involvement seemed to revolve around the outward projection of chakra and picking up on them using a defining motion to produce the projection. Toso stood firm and thusly produced what seemed to be tap of his tentacles upon the ground. Chakra then surged momentarily outward as he focused on the disturbances in the area. Luckily there would only prove to be a lone fly. [ B:Kekkai: Tengai Houjin [ Barrier: Dome Method Formation ] 2/2]

Then would come what he believed more insurances in debilitation. Another thing he specialized in was detainment. A thrill that came with making others helpless ran up his spine...ah...or did it. It was hard to say with Toso as his tentacles rose brimming with grey. As if some sort of siphoning tendril of decay it would stretch out to touch a flower wherein it would wilt almost immediately after doing so. It had almost felt to a degree sinister or evil doing so but every technique has it's utility. [D:Chakra Kyuuin Jutsu [ Chakra Absorption Technique 1/1]

Then came a necessary evil while Toso was fond of his two extra appendages it was perhaps time now to produce the third. So like a bud in bloom Toso inhaled then exhaled. What seemed to be a tumoresque bulge formed in the center of his neck. With some mild discomfort like a peeking worm emerging from the earth the third tentacle sprouted albeit currently a little more limp than the other two. In order to get its bearings like its predecessors Toso would utilize it for following techniques. By following techniques of course the man got on his knees to unroll a scroll containing the long winded Ja no Muchi [ C:Many Arms of the Squid 1/1 ]

While there was ample risk in doing so, few individuals were keen on the fact that Hojo tentacles could be utilized in such a way that complimented whip techniques so well. The risk of course being unlike most whips which were made thusly of leather or twine a Hojo's was of flesh. The simplest of steps was child's play. Utilizing the photographic memory of the artisan he was, he compiled all the information swiftly. Shortly after he'd locate a nearby stick and with a casual toss lashed out to constrain it with his tentacle. [ Shimeagerukoto [ Constriction ] 1/1]

Shortly after the tentacle would loop around itself then tighten unlike a snake. Only rather than a calm slowly advancing ensnarement the constriction was instantaneous. The snapping of the branch rang out distinctively but it was no impressive feat. Any man could snap a branch like he did. With the thin brown foe defeated the fresh tentacle recoiled to leave the rest to its more experienced brethren. [Putsun [ Snap ] 1/1]

The following movements made targets of the trees. To refine this technique it required a constant lashing and withdrawing motion accompanied by an almost immediate loop. The squid practiced with the branches snapping them off like the ripe heads of street urchins...ah that was dark. Repetition was reproduced with each tentacle until it all became second nature. Being extensions of his body these limbs proved to have much more diversity than the occasional whip. [Shoshaku [Bite] 1/1

It was only until the next technique did complications arise. Toso would follow the directions as intended of the kata. Each tentacle in tandem would lash out and swing making a lone tree their target. A shnck sound signified an indentation in the wood while a hiss noise accompanied slash like markings though thin. As his tentacles returned he noticed that while the injuries were negligible there were small scratches and a bit of broken skin. This was accompanied with a frown. Whips fray from use his tentacles would be no different. [Kamitsuke [ Snap ] 1/1]

Then came the ingenious idea. Suddenly his limbs went from their fleshy pale color to a solid grey as a liquid seemed to seep out from them. A protective coating of the Hojo's steel blend producing an armor like coat. Whips were made of fibers due to weight restrictions but this combination would prove strikingly powerful as there were no limitations like that with limbs like these. As evidenced when the following technique lashed out punching a literal hole through the tree it had made contact with an creating the resounding sonic echo whips were known for. [Muchiutsukoto [ Lashing 1/1]

Of course with these new found protections there would be no need to stop there. The tree would merely be beginning. The lonely squid that seemed idle with his appendages fluttering would then all in unison extend in their own directions independent of the man who seemed immovably still in the center. The all rose and as they did all fell in a thunderous slam rending the ground and forming three distinctive craters to the north, west, and east of his position causing a minor quake. Needless to say Toso was pleased with the results. [ Orochi [ Large Snake ] 1/1]

The next technique seemed redundant. However, it had a certain magnetism to it. Charging his tentacles with chakra he would have to consider the opponents as well. The technique seemed to rely on a detectable radius. Toso would suppose it could come in handy not having to actively monitor the behaviors of the tentacles individually. Relieving himself of manual control he left his tentacles to idle until a rogue critter found itself suddenly wrapped. It was nice to think he could have them work on auto-pilot if necessary. [Chouda [ Long Snake ] 2/2]

Next came defensive maneuvers. Although with his abundance of limbs Toso couldn't help but refine these techniques to his liking. In a mad dance of tentacles his limbs whipped around himself in what would have otherwise been a cone became a sphere of what could be believed as an absolute defense. Anything making contact with the flailing sphere of protection would certainly have to endure its wrath. Although to Toso himself, he found the technique to be a bit more laborious than it was actually worth.[ Hebitsukai [ Snake Charmer ] 3/3]

However, as Defensive as this technique seemed to be he believed it could prove to be just as offensive if rather than maintaining a constant momentum releasing all the momentum directionally. The tentacle as before whipped around building up this momentum seeming to gain more and more as they did so rending the ground with minute impacts. All three then at a moments notice deviated. Each one creating what could have been an equivalent of a sonic boom of explosive force around his person sending surrounding debris flying. Toso gave off a sigh as it seemed he was reaching the limits of what he would be able to learn from this style. Though not yet complete he decided he needed his energy for other things and instructed the three of them to withdraw. [ Toguro [ Coil ] 5/5]

Toso would then attempt to stretch. Leaving his tentacles to do all the work had left him personally rather stiff. Which surprisingly was incredibly unbelievable for a squid. He'd departed quite a ways from the scroll room. He decided that perhaps it would have proved most efficient and good for his health if he killed two birds with one stone in returning. With leaps and bounds he took a detour honing his jumps and evasive timing through the trees. [Soft Physical Formless B 3/3]

Landing promptly at the entrance to scroll hall once more he returned the one of whips having already memorized its contents. He would then inquire about there be anything that seemed to target on honing ones agility. With a simple shrug the anbu in charge of the scrolls tossed him a scroll. Opening it to reveal Jiyūgata Senpū. It was almost as if he was tailored to learn this style as he had already beforehand inadvertently already completed the pre-requisites. [Whirlwind Training 1/1]

The first technique was a somersault. However, the room he felt was too crowded. As such he would return to the density of the trees. He performed the somersault with the utmost ease. Then was pleasantly surprised at the momentum he capable of building via the detailed description of the technique. [Somersault 1/1]

He figured with this momentum he would produce a string of movement. Like Ika-waratsu he found momentum is best used to chain into other movements. His roll evolved into a slide and that slide later evolved into a leap with bent knees and firm footing on the bark of the tree. With a brief moment he contemplated the next movement. [Power Slide 1/1]

Thinking a little too hard the momentum would be lost. Toso would thusly begin to fall forward but then it occurred to him the following steps of the style. Even falling produce momentum and Toso would use this momentum to fall, grip, and then flip back once more. Exhaling, the erratic movements of Ika-waratsu were much different as rarely were they plotted. These movements required precision and thought regarding the next step. Although the challenge only seemed to entice the squid to continue. [Switchblade 1/1]

Seeing a tree in the distance Toso would then run towards it aptly entertained. Picking up speed with each step he'd then stretch out his arms where a normal person certainly couldn't use the trunk of a tree as a ballast this proved hardly the least bit difficult. He'd extend his arms to swing around and using said centrifugal force came legs first crashing into the next nearby tree causing it to quiver with the force and the birds inside to scatter. [Roundabout 1/1]

Toso would then bounce off promptly and produce a flip. Spiraling in the air his leg would come down snapping a thick branch in two and collapsing into the ground below. Toso would then land atop of it causing it shatter even more like an enemies skull. Yes..It seemed he thought he'd need to work more on his legs. While strong already he knew they would pale in comparison to Wans but that's what this style was designed to compensate for. Using the forces of momentum rather than one's own strength. [Kickflip 1/1]

The following training required the refinement of balance something he hadn't considered all that much throughout his use of Ika-waratsu. Toso would begin a rigorous regimen of bouncing too and fro making certain his center of gravity was optimum. There were some flops and some face slamming into the dirt but for the most part he eventually developed a rhythm. Wiping the sweat from his brow as long as he had the training he put himself through in learning his trademark Ika Waratsu this would continue to go smoothly. [Perfecting Balance 1/1]

Arms, arms, arms. Now he was refining his legs. It seemed like he was leveling up in a sense. Toso for the following technique would begin as he did with his Ika Waratsu. Leaping and bounding only in doing so instead of his arms to rely on striking he had to rely on his legs. He couldn't use the trunk of a tree this time as it would defeat the purpose and stretching anything other than his arms while possible was tedious. Like the many that fell before him a branch would succumb to the lock and kick of the technique. [Wall Kick 1/1]

It was all essentially the same moving into the next technique only this time his arms were viable. Propellants of ultimate momentum he rubber banded himself upward. Repetitively he executed one kick after another. One follow up then another launch. This training was...at it's core Ika Warutsu. Only more focused on one's leg strength and more by the book. Still... the thought came to mind if having to deal with another practitioner of this style. He wondered how his would fair against it. [Swinging Fury 1/1]

Landing now he went into a handspring with his legs readily set to swing. A backflip came shortly after along with the shattering and flaking of wood. Then a front flip for the same results. Toso would repeat this action as often as he could be he was able to get the purest feel for the technique. [Scissor Handspring 1/1]

Now it was time to tie everything together. It all seemed like repetition in all do honesty. Truthfully Toso was experiencing a De ja Vu of sorts. Utilizing his momentum from tree to in mid air he'd execute a single attack. He was used to this but he needed to break this comfort zone. He'd do so again and again until eventually he was capable of stringing two. Then finally after much repetition came the golden third. He could have used his tentacles for a much easier time but he had placed this personal restriction upon himself. [Lesser Combo 3/3]

Now with adrenaline fully pumping and a bead of sweat forming the squid continued to hone his legs. Like a break dancer he would get on his hands and then spin. Essentially his whole body would now become the whip. This break dancing spin however, was more than just that. Toso was applying every ounce of momentum to transition to his legs in a consecutive assault on the surrounding wood. [Standing Hurricane 2/2]

Figuring he deserved it Toso would now take a seat. He could only deal with repetitive movements for so long. Instead he would choose to actually read the detailed explanations of each technique for now. The following seemed a more refined version capitalizing on momentum of the previous technique. One used the bodies momentum while the other used velocity. The steps were easy enough to understand and would be just as easy to implement as if standing still. [Flying Hurricane 2/2]

The following labeled Falling Hurricane was a more refined version of the kickflip it seemed. Though it included one particular step more. He had grown used to garnering propulsion with his arms rather than his legs so the precursor step of catapulting oneself into the air with chakra alone seemed quiet the task. Still...Toso would close the scroll once more and begin to hop. It was as if he were a bunny readying to spring. After channeling the Chakra he looked up and launched himself skyward. Looking down only then did he realize there was no target...rather than break his leg used the convenient tentacle to lighten his descent. [Falling Hurricane 3/3]

Now this was a style he did not believe he would have trouble learning it;s greater complexities. The following steps tied in honing ones perceptions with their movements. Toso would have found no trouble doing this...as he already was doing so in the beginning. It was true his reflexes paled in comparison to his actual speed but the pressure and motivation of the future combat to come forced him to do so. Reflexes, Speed, Unpredictability, Flexibility all the pieces of the puzzle that was Toso began to fall together. There was more to be done but for now this would conclude the squids sweaty training momentum. [Advanced Whirlwind Training 6/6]

((Total Free Training Posts Used 27 Grand Total Used 47/60: Nin Coupon Reduction Uses Remaining 7/10))

Incredibly sweaty by the looks of things he decided to take it upon himself to sit down and cross his legs. He would then thusly begin forming handsigns meditatively as his three tentacles spawned from his back to appear out of his collar. It was not often he used hand signs but it seemed important not to forget. As if reciting a mantra he began to echo with bloops whilst his tentacles draped downward. Should someone wish to engage in conversation he'd humbly oblige but what seemed more likely was that he would prove to be in the way of an individual's training or prove to be a target for a deviants genjutsu. In doing so specks of ink would form. [Training Performance: 1/3 [] Nuri Monsho 1/4]

Liori Quin Mundo ll Elemental Duel Wielding ♥ Blood Knight ll Doton and Katon ll Kumogakure Genin ll Bakuton - Mending Mouths

Liori made her way down the path to the academy looking closer to her past life as a street urchin than her current as a Kunoichi. 'Ups and downs Liori.' She thought to herself as she pushed open the academy door with her usable arm, eyes trailing the crowds to make sure no one she knew was around. She couldn't be bothered make conversation, let alone attempt to bolster the loud mouthed Liori everyone knew. Stepping her way through the crowd she made for the library, with only a few jutsu rattling around in her head she needed to refuel on potential techniques to learn. She spent the majority of her time browsing the Doton scrolls only branching out into Maruton, trying to locate the technique Toso had mentioned during the mission. It took some time to shift through the stacks but she managed to find her target as well as a couple supplementary techniques that looked interesting. Balancing the armful of scrolls with her arm she exited out the library and started to slowly move through the crowd of students. 'Do these children ever got to class?' Was a thought that crossed her mind as she walked out the front door, turning heel to make her way around the side of the academy where she always practiced. The cracked earth and damaged tree proof that she existed. Arm getting sore from balancing more scrolls than she should have grabbed she dropped the pile of techniques at the base of the tree's trunk. The only one remaining on her hand was the object of her labors.

Worming her fingers around the strings only the scroll closed she managed to undo the stubborn knot with a little help from her mending mouth. Kneeling down she rolled it out across the ground. The name Toso had mentioned was written out clearly across the paper. 'Jihibiki Kansei no Jutsu. A technique to broaden my scouting abilities, I'll be ready next time someone needs me,' she thought bitterly on her failures during the last mission before reading through the technique, 'Its about what I expected it to be. Using chakra to boost my sense of touch and by extension my ability to feel the vibrations rumbling softly through the earth. Not as extensive as something a Sensory Shinobi could muster... but it'll have to do with my limits.' With the words submitted into her memory she had no need for the scroll, only offering the solace of rolling it back into a neat bundle and tying it closed. With the mundane part of learning a jutsu out of the way she brushed the scroll off to the side, away from the remains of her large pile of 'homework.' Standing up on her feet she dusted her knees off as she started to recite the hand seals in her head, calculating how long and how much it would take to channel the chakra using only one hand.
    [1/2]

With a sigh she closed her eyes to get a better focus. Lifting her undamaged hand she began slowly preforming the hand seals, leaving any chakra out of the equation. 'That should do, I'll probably need to go over doing it with two hands once this b***h is healed but it'll do for now.' She thought to herself as her milky white chakra began to flair with each combination of hand seals, her energy seeping into the soil below her. It was weird sending her chakra out so far and thin as she was, when she preformed Doton she would always keep the chakra hearty and nearby for better control. She visibly flinched as she finished the final hand seal, her web of chakra ticking with each step people man inside the building behind her. It was an odd feeling, not unlike when someone gets the feeling of a small insect biting there skin only to find nothing of the sort when inspected. Furrowing her brow she began guiding her chakra outwards, the web off chakra stretching to its very limits as she tested her new techniques range. 'The range appears to be about... Nine-Hundred yards give or take? Huh that's strange...' She thought to herself as she began pulling her web closer, starting to notice the degree at which she felt the odd biting sensation was ever so slightly stronger and more precise in its location compared to when it was fully stretched. At full length she calculated a second delay when it came to receiving the pings but at half length the pings were instantaneous.
[2/2][Jihibiki Kansei no Jutsu (Earth Tremor Sense Technique) Rank C, Learned! -2 From Academy. -1 From Learning Reductions. -1 From Free Posts, 5 remain from Christmas 2015's pool][-20 Chakra]

Her eyes flickering open signaled the end of her channeling, letting out a breath she didn't realize she was holding. The web of chakra beneath the soil dissipated shortly after, ending the constant pricking sensation on her skin and returning its energy to the earth. A chill ran down her spine when all was said and done. "How the hell do Sensors do it? I couldn't imagine having the feeling constantly." She mumbled under her breath, her skin dotted in goosebumps. Shaking the sensation out of her arm she returned to the pile of techniques, grabbing the second Doton scroll she had picked out. Once again having to rely on her mending mouth to get the scroll open, she was starting to get annoyed with her right arm being completely useless. With a grumble of annoyance she returned to the task at hand. While she was fleeing for her live at the mountain she had realized how lacking she was in the defense department... Sure she packed a pretty punch, but she relied too heavily on her Bakuton. 'The way I use my Bakuton doesn't really offer much for protection beyond overwhelming before things can get close... And its too risky to use with people around. What if Ara got caught up in one of my explosions?' She shivered at the thought deciding to forgo her line of thought in favor with studying her defensive Doton. Dull golden eyes traced the thick paper as she read through it. 'Doroku Gaeshi, just like I thought. A quick and effective way of blocking something. Channeling chakra into the user's chosen appendage and using them to force a slab of earth out in front of them. Good, I don't need to use my hands to pull this s**t. One worry down.' She thought to herself, replacing the scroll back into its original state before placing it down next to the sensory technique.
    [1/2]

Taking a couple steps back she turned on her heels to face away from the tree, instead training her eyes to the sky line of the village from her perch on top of the hill. 'Its an easy technique Liori, one that might save one of those people one day.' Whether she wanted to admit it or not she had grown attached the the village, it had become her home after her family was cast from its previous. Even if it started out as a rough relationship she didn't want anything to happen to it or its people. 'Heh maybe I'm taking this whole life as a Genin too seriously,' She thought with a small shrug of her shoulders, 'Back to the task at hand.' Taking a small breath she steadied her mind. Part of the reason she preferred her Doton chakra more was because of how soothing it felt running through her body, like a protective hug. So she latched onto that feeling while she started weaving the techniques hand signs with her left hand, it felt like she was moving at a snails pace. 'How the hell can people channel with one hand on the regular?' She scoffed to herself, unable to wrap her mind on how this could possibly be easier for some people. Her chakra surged around her feet, the milky glow almost visible as she stomped her heel into the soil below her. Her chakra branched out from the indent in the ground wrapping a slab of earth in its warmth and lifting the slab up in front of her as her toes finally touched the ground as well. Placing her hand against the cool soil she gave it a push, surprised when it gave some actual resistance. "Yes, that should do." She said patting the earth in a faux good job manner.
[2/2][Doroku Gaeshi (Rock Shield) Rank D, Learned! -1 From Academy. -1 From Learning Reductions][-10 Chakra]

Knowing she couldn't just leave a slab of earth standing up so she did her do diligence and slammed her shoulder into the earth in an attempt to knock it over. An 'oof' escaped her lips when she met with the slab of earth, surprised by its sturdiness before digging her feet into the ground and pushing harder. It took some elbow grease but the slab finally gave and tipped right over back into the slab shaped hole in front of it. Catching her balance just before she toppled over after it. "That will defiantly do alright. Unless they use Raiton... but that's a problem for another day." She thought with a grimace, dusting her shoulder off before making her way to the pile of knowledge she had garnered. Gathering all of the scrolls shes decided it better to just memories them all at once so she didn't need to keep struggling with a scroll every five seconds. After some finagling she had managed to spread all of the scrolls out on the ground. "One more Doton and I'm done with that chakra nature for a little while. Shame, its always the easiest to learn." She mumbled as she read the text sprawled on the paper. She had picked the third one mostly because she needed someone way to defend herself without relying on her explosions that could harm others or her fire that harmed herself with every use. 'Doton Shuriken no Jutsu. Just mold a piece of the earth into a shuriken and use it to defend yourself. Same basic principles as molding my clay, just more basic.' She thought with a small smile, sure it wasn't the best choice of offensive Doton but it was the least risky for others in her mind.
    [1/2]

Luckily for her unlike the past two techniques this one had a much shorter string of hand seals, which was a blessing because it made the struggle of molding chakra with one hand much easier. Bending at her knees she placed her palm against the soil, digging her fingertips into the ground and scooping up a handful of dirt as her chakra began flowing into the brown dirt and began to give it structure. The dirt compacted into the thin, hard, shuriken, holding its shape as she moved it between her fingers to get a feel for its weight. "Lighter than a normal shuriken, likely has less drop off. But not as strong." She mumbled to herself, gripping the dirt tool between her pointer and middle finger, taking aim at the tree in front of her. With a flick of her wrist the shuriken was gone, a thud signaled its contact with the tree. She had half expected the dirt to struggle to maintain its shape without her chakra touching it directly but was glad to see she was wrong. The dirt tool impeded in the wood of the tree instead of splattering like mud. Nodding to herself she shook her palm free off the remaining dirt, mind switching gears from Doton to Maruton.

Meaning A Rank Ninjutsu Bloodline raiton techniques recieve a -8post reduction.

And S rank Ninjutsu Bloodline raiton Techniques receive a -9 post reduction.

Thanatos arrived at the academy, he found himself a nice quite corner to train. He had heard that apparently the rules regarding training had changed. You needed permission to start accessing jutsu that used to be freely available. Or you would have to be with your trainer to train in jutsu. When he was a genin...Thanatos stopped, he didn't know why he thought that. Since he never was a genin, it was because of his brother that he was able to be here. He skipped genin and went straight to chunnin with Kinpaku's permission. Well nevertheless he didn't receive the luxury of someone training him.

He wouldn't need it know anyways, and he didn't need permission to train in his bloodlines techniques. There was still some things that even the Kage didn't touch. He would need these abilities in the future. So the sooner he got started the better. Thanatos began with the first technique he clapped his hands together and then separated them, the sound of electricity crackling could be heard as the lightning jumped from hand to hand around the rod that was forming. In the end he held a lance like weapon in his hand. A mere swipe toward a wooden dummy near him ended with the dummy body slicing in half like a hot knife and butter.

    Character: Thanatos Hatake
    Technique Name: Odins Lance
    Rank: B-S (a for learning)
    Type: Ninjutsu-Bloodline
    Element: Raiton
Description: When he seperates his hand a pole of lightning forms inbetween his hands. Standing at about 5 feet in length this lance like weapons appears to have flames flickering at its ends, but it is merely condensed lighting. The lance can be used as weapon, while also being extremely light it is quite effective at slicing though armors and blades. The lance does not disappear until destroyed. Because of this it can be used as a power source but must be created solely for that purpose. At S rank, the lance gains another quality when thrown, it produces an incredibly destructive dome like explosion of pure ration on impact the size of a small village/thread. The user also has the ability to manipulate the explosion either decreasing its size or forcing the explosion to go a certain direction. If raiton explosion is manipulated it counts as another activation.
Rank B:Creates Lance, me used as sharp cutting weapon
Rank A: becomes power source plus rank B abilities
Rank S: When thrown explodes on impact, plus other rank abilities.

Thanatos decided to move on to the next technique. This one didn't require any handseals for it. It just needed him to will it into existence. He focused his mind on the situation. He would need to gather the chakra around his belt and extend it out from his body in a single form. At first he didn't quite get the hang of it.

He tried again but this time he held onto his belt, it grounded him into something that he could visualize wrapping in his chakra and igniting it with his lightning chakra. Soon, more cracking could be heard as his waist was surrounded by lightning chakra. Slowly but surely from his backside a tail appeared. He could manipulate it at will but it seemed to act on it own as well, He was waving it around and thinking he should probably check its piercing capabilities. In an instant it flew and pierced the wooden dummy that was sliced early. It not only pierced that but the ground beneath it leaving a small crater in it wake. This was just as devastating as being hit by a chidori.

    Character: Thanatos Hatake
    Technique Name: Odins Whip
    Rank: A
    Type: Ninjutsu-Bloodline
    Element: Raiton
Description: This technique needs no handseals, a long and thin tail of lightning forms on the user, He can use his very long, thin, and powerful tail as a whip or to lift, strike, pierce, and strangle a victim. If the tail is cut by a stronger slicing technique it will grow back next post, it can do this up to 2 times. The tail acts on its own accord but reacts to the will of the user. [Retains offensive and defense properties of Shiroi Chidori (One Thousand White Birds)]

Thanatos dismissed the technique he was using to prepare himself for the next one. Plus he didn't want to give that thing any more free reign to destroy property. This technique consisted of breaking down barriers or walls with easy. He could easily rip apart anything one rank above it as long as it was some kind of barrier. He went through the seal and focused the chakra into his hands. All he would need to do is focus it to the tips and sharpen them.

Slowly he could see the lightning form at his finger tips, In his mind he imagined them to be somewhat similar to a canines claws. Having been around dogs for most of his shinobi life it was the closest thing to relate it to. He continued focusing on his hands until the technique was stable. It was one thing to wrap his hands in lightning but he then needed to be able to slash through things without anything going wrong. The technique would also extended away from his hands. He didn't want it to disintegrate the instant the chakra lost contact with him. He aimed at the already mangled dummy a few feet away and sliced it apart.

    Character: Thanatos Hatake
    Technique Name: Great Tear
Rank: Null(A rank for learning purposes)
    Type: Ninjutsu-Bloodline
    Element: Raiton
Description: Description:Thanatos hands are covered in pure ration, they gain a claw like form with the ability to tear through almost anything. When Thanatos swipes his hand in front of him, claw like arcs go forth from his hand but they are made of pure ration. These energy arc are formed for the purpose of destroying barriers. Capable of completely destroying barriers or defensive ninjutsu of a higher rank.(Except Wind beats jutsu of same rank) Up against normal non defensive or offensive ninjutsu it loses 1 rank in power (unless against Doton]

This technique would be the most difficult for Thanatos, it was a rank higher than the other so it was going to be a tough one. He decided to read over everything carefully before moving on. He took a deep breath to ready himself for the technique. If this technique wasn't done correctly he could damage his surrounding area alot.

Going through the handseals he would release alot of his chakra, This would then begin the releasing of the raiton particles which would cover everything around him. He specificallt would be reducing its area of affect because he didn't want to do anything to the things around him to much. He stopped to check his progress. It seemed he didn't lay enough raiton particles on objects.

This meant there wasn't enough of the particles to force the objects away from him. He would need to release his chakra even more and evenly as well to layer the things around him. He needed to at least make the dummy move away from him. Even if the dummy was broken into little peices at this point.

He once again focused in on his chakra bring it into his center then releasing it all through his body in all directions. You could liken it something like the Hyuugas ultimate defense. They release chakra from all points and spin to create this effect. But he would have different plans for his technique. When the particles land on a object they have the same polarization as him. Thus they would push away from each other just like magnets.

Looking around him he could see the dummy wooden parts slowly begin to shake as they were being layered. Eventually he would be able to do this much faster and things would instantly be charged and shot away from him. Suddenly the wooden pieces floated and shot away into the wall. They made a dent into the wooden walls across from him. If he charged something enough he was sure it could be more powerful than that. But for now he was done with this jutsu.

    Character: Thanatos Hatake
    Technique Name: Odin Force
    Rank: S
    Type: Ninjutsu-Bloodline
    Element: Raiton
Description: The user Lays out a charged field of ration particles on the ground. He then laces himself with the same polarization. The two will repel each. rocks’s ,dirt, boulder anything in the radius of the field will be charged and then repelled. The field will follow him as he moves. The user can grant passage into the radius by focusing on a individual as they enter, granting them immunity from being charged and then repelled. Going over your field will cause instabilities which you can exploit via chakra to use jutsu in different ways. Enemies, Weapons and solid-based Ninjutsu will be charged a repelled back at the origin. Using this method he can also fly. After Initial activation it takes a B rank amount of chakra to keep active. 20 meter Odin force range. Each particle is like its own chakra structure and can be independent from the other particles. But it won’t do much good alone.

Since he had taken care of the more difficult jutsu already it was time for him to end it with a something a little easier. This was the lightning blade technique, he would simple have pure raiton blades hang around him and have them attack and defend for him. This along with the whip could make a devastating combo.

He extended his chakra out from himself and enveloped the area around him, he would then need to form the blades in the air. He just imagined as if they were actual blades hanging. Just focusing on one first creating these into the air was a little more difficult then he imagined. He stopped and took a deep breath to get a hold of himself. He then went through the hand seal one more time and released his chakra.

He began to hear the vibrations of the lighting crackling in the air, the blades had appeared, even though they were few in number he could still use them. They moved and attacked just like he wanted them. Unlike the whip they didn't act on their, he would need something like that. He didn't need two jutsu that didn't always listen to him.

    Character: Thanatos Hatake
    Technique Name: Lightning Blades
Rank: Null (A rank for learning purposes)
    Type: Ninjutsu-Bloodline
    Element: Raiton
Description: The user using his raiton chakra creates blade made from pure ration. These blades hang in mid air surrounding the user in a perfect circle. Controlling them with his chakra he can make them attack simultaneously without touching them. They can also be used to parry or deflect other attacks. Making his way into the academy, Kōjin would look around and with a soft sigh of relief, he would find a place to relax for a moment while he would look over some of the scrolls that were there. As he took a seat he would light up a smoke and begin reading wondering to himself what could be useful for attack, defense, and even some utility or teamwork oriented jutsu. He had an idea in mind of what he wanted to focus on but it would take him sometime to put it all into perspective as well as make his final decisions. Kōjin needed to make a good impression on his Raikage, and he intended to do just that. As he blew some smoke out into the air he would simply continue reading.

Liori Quin Mundo ll Elemental Duel Wielding ♥ Blood Knight ll Doton and Katon ll Kumogakure Genin ll Bakuton - Mending Mouths

With her mindset moved from the firm embrace of mother earth into the endless ethereal void she was prepared to go about learning a few more Maruton techniques. Liori opened her eyes as she tested her bandaged right hand, her reactions were dull and off... a byproduct of being on pain medications it would seem. She would manage though, no longer was the hand useless as it had been for the first part of her training. Now at least she could use it to form hand seals albeit slower, in the end it would lead to a more stable chakra molding. 'At least thats what my calculations lead to,' She thought to herself as she tapped the side of her ringing head, 'Bloody gods I'll give that p***k some credit. He figured out what was causing my headache. Hell if I know how to make it stop though, I live in a state of perpetual stressed.' After her mental chiding she began to focus her thoughts back to the task at hand, drawing forth the images she recorded of the Maruton scrolls. Sorting them by usefulness and deciding to get them out of the way first rather than risk being pulled away before she could finish. "Ranji Shigumi no Jutsu... ah yes, that was the one that built on.. what was its name? Touhatsu Kubikirikorosu...? Yes thats the one. I do hope I wasn't just assuming they were similar," She mumbled as her eyes darted back and forth like she was reading, "By committing a reserve of chakra to ones hair follicles they can temporarily gain control over the rate at which the hairs grow... Ah the chakra also allows for the hairs to harden like senbon. Grapple someone and turn them into a pincushion? Ha."
    [1/4]

Her eyes halted full stop the moment she had finished drawing from the text that was on the scroll, an unflattering side effect of her memory but it wasn't like she had to remember things in detail in front of people... often. A small yawn escaped form her lips as she stretched her body out. 'Turns out not sleeping fell makes you tired. Who would have ********' thought.' She thought bitterly, lifting her hands in front of her. With some minor fumbling she managed to get her right hand to work with her, fingers running on a delayed reaction with each hand seal. In all honesty it didn't save her anytime doing it this way, but she was way too stubborn to admit to being wrong even to herself. Her brows furrowing she waited for anything to happen when her seals were complete, only to be met with deafening nothing. A few moments later she kicked at the ground with her heel. 'Who in their damned mind forgets to channel the chakra when they preform hand seals? Damned delay had me focusing too hard on matching my fingers up,' She thought as her head twinged with pain for a moment, 'Relax... Solution is easy, just split focus this time. No need to get riled up.' While she might have been trying not to get riled up her shoulders remained tense as she shook her mind clear.
    [2/4]

    "Take two."
She said softly, eyes closing as she split her mind into two parts. One focused on keeping her useless fingers on task and the other focused on channeling her chakra into the uncountable number of hairs on her head. She took her time forming the sand seals this time instead of rushing it in frustration. With each new formation in her hands she would slowly spike the her milky chakra around her head. from these spikes she would further split her focus to mend the chakra into strands of her hair. On the final seal she released her focus, eyes opening to stare at her shaking hand. Dismissing the anomaly took a breath and started sending direction to her hair, the thick mop she had been accumulating started growing rapidly. In only a few seconds she hand a head of hair to rival even that large lion she saw back when she was doing Toso's little game. The ringing upped and octave as she started straining her mind and her ability to lengthen the hair. Her working hand shot up to grip the side of her head in pain as the chakra channel was cut. Her new mane dissolving into the air to show the hair was merely a chakra construct. A blessing really, she wouldn't find it nearly as useful if she had to get a haircut after every mission. "Baby steps when learning something new Liori. Beginner mistake. Control first, length second, and manipulation last." She reminded her self aloud, releasing her head as the spike of pain returned to normal. Grumbling she resisted the urge to start punching the tree in front of her. 'Its nothing but muscle memory. First times the hardest. Only gets easier.' She thought with a small frown.
    [3/4]

Running her left hand through her hair she took a few moments to steady the storm in her mind. Convinced she wasn't going to be struck with another spike of pain she readied her hands. Once more splitting her mind into pieces, this time finding she didn't need to try as hard to weave into her hair, she preformed the needed seals. Eyes open she dropped her hands to her sides and started focusing her mind onto controlling the strands. It wasn't necessarily hard what with her previous knowledge in this type of technique, what through her off was having to rapidly grow her chakra 'hair' and the control at once. Taking small steps into the uncharted territory she started growing small patches at a time, all the while making sure to be whipping a few stand around at any given time. After a few minutes she had reached the length her mind struggled to hold before. Far less taxing this time around she decided it a good stopping point for length. Tapping her chin she took a few steps away from the tree and the academies scrolls, to make sure nothing would be damaged, before she started whipping thick groups of stands around like an angry octopus. Readying herself she took a small breath before cocooning herself in the hair, surging her chakra in the strands. In an instant the soft locks harden into thousands upon thousands of small spikes. Looking more like a hedgehog than any noble big cat.

Happy with the results she ended the jutsu, taking the time to watch her hair this time. She had previously though it just vanish but after a closer watch it was more like she was shedding hair only for the strands to dissolve on contact with the soil. "I sure hope that doesn't damage my hair... It didn't make any mention of it in the scrolls, positive or otherwise." She mumbled, shaking the frightening thought from her mind. Needing a distraction front he potential negatives of the technique she locked onto the pile of scrolls at the base of the tree. 'Distraction! What was the next technique? It was stealth... Ah-ha! Bikou Ninjutsu, the act of making it harder to be caught tailing a target. Simple and too the point. Not easy to practice but a simple review should do. Now lets see...' She thought to herself as she started scrolling through the bounds of text that were littering the scroll. Her eyes dashing rapidly from side to side as the information was 'locked' in her mind so to say, moving it into the memory bank she called upon for techniques she knew. The scroll while helpful didn't offer much in terms off being a actual technique. No it was more of a set of guidelines and tips. 'Would have been better to have just held this as a class than hide it away in some low rank scroll. Whatever.' She thought to herself, already feeling more stealthy after a very short series of hand seals. Eyes being drawn more naturally to hiding spots in the environment as chakra surged around them before fading.

Resisting the urge to run into the academy and tail someone while making a lot of noise she tapped her chin and started drawing the second low rank technique she picked out. Unlike the first it was just barely enough to consider it an actual technique rather than guide lines in Liori's eyes. 'Kawanuke no Jutsu, the act of using chakra to increase ones prowess with escaping simple binds. From what I can understand it temporarily increases the range of motion and flexibility of joints. Allowing for just enough room to free a hand from a rope wrapping or to wiggle free from a pair of handcuffs not fully tightened.' She mused to herself, looking down at her left hand before looking around for something she could bind it with. Opening her pack she grabbed a spool of wire and loosely wrapped it around her wrist and a tree branch, just enough that she couldn't pull it free through brute force. After a very short set of hand seals she focused her chakra around the joints in her fingers, a unflattering pop echoed from them as she forced her fingers in closer. Quickly pulling her hand from the loop she chakra dispersed and her fingers popped back into place. "What the ********. A warning to the possible pain next time scrolls!" She cursed, waving her hand back and forth like it was alight with flame.

Taking a moment for the surprise pinching pain she had experienced she paced back and forth in front of the tree. Her mind had begun cycling through the remaining techniques, calculating the odds of her using them before moving the low odd techniques into a 'back up' bank so to speak while drawing the remaining one forward in her mind. Her dull gold eyes began their dance back and forth. Her pacing had stopped once she started pulling heavily on information and her mind had taken full control. 'Kirigakure no Jutsu, heh I always assumed this was more of a Suiton technique. Glad I spotted it when I was browsing the Maruton section of the library, would have let a extremely useful technique slip by undetected,' She thought with a small smile as she switched into reading mode, 'Alright, so its doesn't so much draw from moisture in the air like I assumed. Instead it looks to turn the users own chakra into the mist. Interesting. In practice it would probably be easier to preform if you borrowed from the moisture in the air. But with my affinities the way they are that would waste more chakra than it would save.' Nodding slowly to herself she exited from the metaphorical vault in her mind and returned to the the world around her. Rolling her stiff shoulders in preparation she started running chakra calculations in the background.
    [1/2]

Locking in on a favorable ratio she set out to preform the technique. Lifting her hands together she started clumsily weaving a new set of hand seals while she spread her milky chakra to her pores. On the second to last seal she started drawing the milky white chakra out from her skin, releasing it out into the air around her. As she formed the last seal she spiked the freed chakra and started a domino effect around her. The chakra rapidly splitting until it was nothing but a thin mist around the secluded training spot. "I wonder what the mist would look like with someone else's chakra..." She mused to herself as she attempted to peer through the fog. After all her chakra was naturally white, would someone with a less bland chakra color create a fog of that color or would it be diluted into the color she saw around her after the chakra had successfully split. Walking int he direction she assumed the tree was she found herself quickly not reaching the landmark. Instead, she was greeted with a brick wall, having gotten lost in the fog without a landmark for her sense of direction to follow. "That was a close one." She said as she backed away from the wall, the bricks fading from her sight as white overtook it. Thinking back to the technique she pulled up the last section of the scroll. With a curt nod she weaved one seal with her left hand, the fog quickly fading from existence around her. "That would probably work better if I made a mental map of the area before releasing it. Wouldn't do good to get trapped in my own trap."

Taking a few minutes to roll the scrolls all back up and gather them in a wobbly tower in her arms, she set forth to return them to the library. 'This is easier with two arms, thought I should probably stop using it if I don't have to until it gets better.' She adjusted the scrolls until they were only being held by her left arm, letting the slightly sore right drop and lay limp. After weaving her way through the academies ever present crowd she dropped the scrolls back in the return bin before quickly making her exit from the cramped building. 'I really don't want to go back there... but I need to figure out where I'm going to practice that idea. It would be way to destructive if it worked, one miss throw and I could demolish a building.' A shiver ran down her spine as she though back to when she helped repair the residential district after that pink haired psychopath had brought chaos in the streets. Her thoughts quickly drifted deeper into her memory to when she watched said woman tear the streets up. Her breathing started increasing as the feeling of phantom rust flakes started digging into her nerves. Clutching her shirt she let herself ride out the panic, repeatedly telling herself it wasn't real. 'That woman is gone. Gone. The rust is gone. Gone.' Was the mantra running through her head as she calmed herself down. Removing her white knuckled hand from her shirt she lifted her hand from the pavement before returning to her pace towards the Raikage's tower. Maybe she'd ask the man if he had any advice with dealing with these nightmares and panic attacks. Maybe. Baby steps. One day she'd admit her weakness to someone else.

The hymn itself was more of an extended blooooooo..p then repeating. He'd hadn't used his hands for signage often which is what made this practice require greater concentrations than usual. However, it seemed almost unnecessary as just as he was skilled with a brush this reflected itself in his hand signs. They were precise and well made. This practice allowed for a further refinement of his chakras. Capitalizing on this he began to manifest the chakra into an ink outwardly from his pores. [2/3 Performance [] Nuri-Monsho 2/4]

In addition to this the meditative state he was assuming was proving to also recover all the energy he had used within the confines of the forest. Entering a state of recovery to blooping cadence continued. In addition he would then have his tentacles form a three way arch above him to add to the atmosphere. They would then finally rest at his sides shortly after. Eyes firmly shut no longer he opened them. To see the field had certainly accrued a fair some of individuals. The ink would then display itself from the pores of the arch with a drop landing on his head. [3/3 Performance [] Nuri-Monsho 3/4]

It was then Toso came to the idea of mayhaps capitalizing on this opportunity. Many of the Hojo clan remained solely focused on the pores of their limbs but perhaps he could take it to the next level. Remaining in his meditative state he inhaled and exhaled as dark liquid made of his inner chakras slowly pulsated within him. Concentrating wholly thereafter he then redirected it. It began to seep but then the typical Hojo issue came to light. The adhesive properties failing to maintain clinging to the skin which would cause it to drip profusely. Toso realized he couldn't allow this to happen so haphazardly. He needed to assume a control but how...then came the thought of circulation. Bringing the ink out and bringing it back in for a consistent flow. Like the circulatory system the squid began his rhythmic inhales and exhales until he developed the keen mastery of circulation of ink through his pores. [Nuri-Monsho 4/4]
