((We're allowed to post here to RP with you, right? If not, then just tell me...))
Out of the shade of a tree, a very strange duo emerged, neither of the two stallions (or the stallion and the gelding/mare, depending on your point of view) looking anything the least bit normal. The former was a humungous black Andalusian, who would have been a beautiful creature indeed if not for his decayed state and fact that he was missing three-quarters of his neck and his head. A hachet was strapped to his side and a tattered cloak wrapped on his back.
The other was just a gangly teen, look very plain and drab if not for the fact that he looked like, and was, Sora from Kingdom Hearts. The two stared (at least Sora did) for a long while at the pastures of the ranch before the larger headless horse trumpeted, throwing a clod of dirt out of his open neck.
“Maybe there be uzzer ‘orses ‘ere?” he bellowed in a thick German accent, the remains of his neck muscles twitching as if looking around.

Flames to Dust The sky was painted with deep reds, swirls of oranges, and streeks of yellow gold. The wind whipped angrily. Indeed, the setting of the sun had brought bad news with it. The demonic stallion stood at the edge of the cliff on the side of the mountain. His velvet mane whipped beautifully like silk. He kept calm as he listen to the pains and whimpers.
"You can't leave!" yelped Arizona. Tears flooded the mare's eyes. "Where will you go? Who will I have to talk to? You can't go!" she began to plead.
Valentino' sighed, "Arizona, don't cry. It's for the best. Till the demonic child grows, its best I leave. I've played my part in getting him back to his father,"he paused, his crimson eyes locking to hers, "Now I must play my part in leaving till he is fully grown. You know this. Don't make this harder than it has to be."
Arizona gulped as her eyes begged to him, "I know. But please, just stay here, with me. We'll keep out of sight of them. They won't find you."
"I can't do that. I'm sorry, but it has to be this way. Annora has already left. I was a fool to stay this long, and now I have no choice. I have to leave. I'll be back when the boy has grown."
Arizona felt defeat sink through her. She dropped her head and sniffed, squeasing her eyes shut.
"You're angel will care for you dear. You'll be ok. You need to move on and be happy. I'm not the answer." Valentino' said lightly.
"He can't replace you! I won't let you vanish from my life like you were never there! You are part of me! The love we once had has never died! We just stopped showing it."
Valentino' nuzzled her lightly, "I must go. We'll talk when I return. Watch the boy and for my return. The day he is grown, I'll be right here." The stallion spread his leathery wings. "Flames..."
"To dust." Arizona choaked out. She whimpered, still betting against it all.
Valentino' stepped off the cliff and let himself fall, quickly spreading his wings and gliding off, disappearing into the sunset.
"Why do all good things come to and end?" Arizona finished the chorus of the song. She let the tears fall as she turned and galloped off, back to the herd.

A Tribute to Emma It was early in the morning. The sun had just risen from behind the hills. Emma stirred with a snort. Her and Whiskey had been left in the corral that past night instead of the stables. Whiskey was staring off, and Emma flattened her ears due to his lack of his morning greeting to her. But she soon stopped when she felt something itching at her, "What is it?" she asked, nudging her loyal mate. Whiskey never took his eyes off the gate, "Jess left the gate open." he replied.
Emma's eyes darted to the gate; which had been closed last night. Indeed it stood open. She trotted over, soon followed by Whiskey. Emma carefully stepped out and took off at a full gallop to the house. She lept onto the wrap around porch. The house was empty besides Magic sleeping on the couch. Emma turned and jumped off the pourch. Early morning dew soaked her stockings as she galloped along, Whiskey right at her side.
The pair came along the open meadow with a large oak at the other end. Emma's heart lept as she galloped, top speed, across the meadow. She slowed to a trot when she neared the oak. Jess sat under it, staring off into the early morning meadows on the other side of the river. Emma came right up and put her muzzle on Jess's cheek. She nuzzled her before placing her muzzle on Jess's side and giving her a good nudge, "Alright, alright." Jess said as she reached up and patted the eager mare.
Emma contently sighed, tilting her head to the side so she could get a good scratch by the ear. Whiskey was on the other side of Jess, a few feet away, grazing. Emma nuzzled Jess again before she began grazing right next to her, forcing Jess to move every few seconds as the mare pushed her for the grass she sat on. Jess finally gave in and sat on a root sprouting from the old oak. Emma continued on her crazy graze, not leaving Jess's side for a moment.
Jess sighed, watching the sun rise the rest of the way, watching the shadows chase into the trees as the meadow grew bright. The soft wind blew, teasing at Jess's long blonde hair as if to calm her and say "I'm here now. It will all be ok. I miss you too." She closed her eyes for a moment, letting a tear rush down. When she opened them, Emma was gone. Whiskey stood, staring off, listening to the wind, saying his good byes as well.
"Three years gone." Jess choked through the tears. "I miss you Emma."
