Samuru hesitated to reply, his expression dimming slightly as he looked away from the where the fire burned. He hadn't really...considered a lot of what Saito was saying. Honestly, he had simply assumed that he'd have to make his own chakra strings and use them like a puppet. Shaking his head, he sighed out a sad sound that wasn't normal for what he'd been like before this "No. Even this are a steel and porcelain mixture." Samuru was beginning to think he'd have to travel to find someone to help him and that would be....less than amazing. Raising a hand to his head, Samuru felt a rush of pain at the back of his skull. Jerking backwards, he stumbled forward on his false leg and ran into Saito, knocking him over. Stumbling outside the emporium, he vanished down the street.

Making her way into the shop Inori went through the shop gathering a handful of items that she needed to restock and rearm. Karleen parked her cart of supplies outside the Blue Dragon Emporium before grabbing the supplies she was supposed to deliver and walking in. She carefully placed them on the counter, then rung the bell several times. "Oi, Karleen here with a delivery from Takumi! I was heading this way so Kaza-san sent me with supplies!" The woman leaned over the counter, looking in to the area where the forge was, blinking. Her jewelry made a small racket as she moved, her golden eyes curious.

The young female cussed softly under her breath upon learning that neither Seiji, nor Myurai the other man Kaza had mentioned, were at the shop. Karleen sighed and flopped in a nearby chair, scratching her cheek. "They've been interesting to say the least. I found out a little while ago that I suffer from amnesia, and that I might actually be from this village. Tell me, would you know when the Hattori's might be back? Kaza-san saw one of them, Seiji I think, with me in Takumi a while back. I wanted to question him to see what he might know of me." Karleen's golden eyes took a sweep of the shop, holding the package she was to deliver back carefully in her lap.
Something about this place felt oddly... homey. She wasn't sure if it was her love for the craft or the fact that she might have been here previously. She wanted to remember, she wanted to remember so bad. But no matter how much she reached out in to the darkness that was her mind, there was nothing there but a faint bittersweet-ness.

Karleen's eyes glimmered with hope when the man mentioned a second sister, Hatsu. Though she was out of time, Karleen jumped up and wrote out a note specidying to find her in The Forge in Takumi, and that she'd be thankful for any help the girl could give. "Please give this to Ms Hattori if she ever comes around, please? I have to return to Takumi now, I'll give Kaza-san your regards! By good sir!" And with that, Karleen grabbed her small parcel and was out the door.

With a resonation Bloop. Toso reviewed the missive once more. It seemed he made a mistake when it came to reading one of the names. Er, giant-sans broken speech was often times difficult to discern especially when it came to similar sounding names. Still it troubled him Nathaniel was absent for the beckoning call. Although, it didn't strike odd the other member didn't show up. Mainly because he would have had no clue what had even produced said beckoning call. It was only in all due fairness...and perhaps a little paranoia that he'd wait for Nathaniel and the other to arrive. If they hadn't received the missive from him then surely an anbu would have already provided them with one. So as per what seemed to be common sense Toso would wait outside the place of business hoping that the note that a Ryo allowance was to be split among the squad would imply a shop being a good meeting place. Huffing and puffing, a pair of bare feet smacked the surface of the ground as they were chasing after the mist of black ink that had came from the academy's training rooms. Ara hurried after the man / transforming giant squid towards the entrance a nearby shop she had never really been to, hellbent on catching him and pestering him further. In her mind, if was a pretty good apology for turning an inspection of her based on those photographs into a possibility of whatever happened in those adult magazines in some shops with tentacles and older girls on the covers.

Looking out into the distance Toso could make out a figure. Was this perhaps the individual he was to meet? No, it was the Hojo girl again. Now what could she possibly want he wondered. There was still time before the mission reached it's primed deadline. The squid boy decided he'd see what the youth was so flustered about and see what she wanted. When she arrived panting to catch her breath as alway Toso remained in an almost stoic neutral state as he stood looking like the large rotund squid shape he seemed to have. Then came one question after the other in a sense. This poor girl. Well if he could remedy some of her troubled with a little history lesson why wouldn't he..then again...what seemed to be a sudden glint of playful mischief arose inside as well. Perhaps it was his father's influence rising to the surface again.
"Well now Hojo-chan that's quite the unfortunate tale. I can't say that I actually know you I'm afraid. Bloop. However, allow me to shed some light on your origins bloop or should I say our origins." Raising his lengthy sleeve he placed his hand under his collar where his chin would've have been as if thinking where he should begin. Thinking that the girl was rather young he figured maybe a more simple explanation was best. "AH bloop, so a long time ago a bunch of people ninja and non-ninja became super best friends in the far east with a bunch of squid bloop because reasons bloop. They were such good friends they started sharing each others secrets and becoming a lot like one another bloop. Back then there were essentially three main tribes. The Shimizu that preferred being closer to tropical waters. The Endai which preferred ideally any saltwater and liked to travel. Then finally the Kōrimizu who found solace in frigid waters and incredible depths. Bloop."
Toso continued his history lesson on the Hojo while also making sure that Ara was paying attention. "Sometimes the different tribes fought one another Bloop, sometimes they were friends bloop, but now bloop they've all found their place in the land of tea bloop." While speaking Toso would have removed a piece of from the contents of coat and began drawing a map and dotting locations. "These are the known Hojo villages that I'm aware of. Chances are you may be from the northern one as it has the highest Shimizu population to my knowledged bloop."

"Bloop most Endai are tall and thin, Most Korimizu are really muscular, you just seemed to fit Shimizu the most bloop. However, I can tell you how you can find out." Toso then proceeded to stretch his sleeved limb outwards as if it were made of something elastic to have it grab some loose litter to throw away. "Endai descendants can extend their normal arms like myself bloop and are super cool, popular, and handsome. Korimizu can be nye naked and never get cold, swim well, and don't need any fancy techniques to swim underwater bloop they also don't have any friends because they're dumb. While Shimizu are usually pretty smart, have no trouble manipulating water, have ticklish feet bloop, huge breasts, and can't rub their belly while patting their head at the same time bloop. However, the one thing all Hojo have in common is ending most of their sentences in something meaningful which I'm sure you've realized Bloop." Clearly there was some playful misinformation being provided as Toso wanted to test the naivety of the Hojo girl.

Almost dancing back into her favorite shop she called out happily almost the second she opened the door,"HELLO!!" Making her way to the counter she smiled and began the lengthy process of placing her order."So pops. I need two library atlas', a set of mechanical goggles, a lens pack for said goggles, OH OH and here's the kicker, I need twenty four explosive notes..." Listening to the masked Hojo clan member explain the connection that their apparent clan had, she seemed most interested in the history of their clan's origins. Squids and humans become close friends until they shared secrets and formed into the three sub-sects of the clan that were spoken of today. The map he produced did not seem familiar to her at all, but did give her some locations in the Land of Tea that would make for good places to go and visit. Maybe she could gain some more memories and such if she were to go. She furrowed her brows, remembering that her village did share some common traits with what Toso-chan spoke about. "I do kinda remember something like that. We did live near water, but I don't know if it was just a lake or sea." She pouted for a brief moment, upset at her own inability to recall her past before pushing it behind her while Toso explained how he was able to exactly pinpoint that she was a part of the Shimizu clan.
Unfortunately, after a great deal of suspense that was built up during this reveal, Toso confessed that he had guessed her lineage. She shrugged, finding it a pretty good guess given under whatever criteria that the Shimizu were known for. He proclaimed that they could find found what she was before stretching his arms out to lengths that would only have been possible if he were made out of some elastic substance. Almost like he had eaten some fruit to give him powers like that. "Whoa! Cool!~" Ara cheered for Toso while he continued. He was part of the Endai...people from the Hojo clan. She tried to make her arms do the same like his, taking a deep breath before stretching them out as far as they could go. This continued for a while until she faceplanted in front of him, having lost her balance. She lied there for a while before jumping up to her feet and dusting herself off from the ground. "Nope. And I can't breathe underwater, at least not without my Suiton jutsu. So..." She thought for a while, grateful that she was not a stupid Korimizu, before deciding that she was a descendant of Shimizu. "It has to be it!~ Let's try the thing." Ara said, raising her right arm to her head and her left arm to her stomach. She began to rub her stomach and pat her head to the best of her ability, but she continued getting the orders each hand needed to recieve mixed up. She tried several more times before finally seeming elated to find out more about herself. "It's gotta be true! I'm gunna be the smartest Hojo in Kumogakure, with breasts too!" Ara stood proud in front of Toso, almost as if she was busy gloating about how awesome it was to be a Shimizu descendant than either of the other two.
Lastly, the hooded squid man spoke about every member ending their sentences with something meaningful. She did notice that he said "Bloop" a lot when finishing whatever he was saying, wondering why it was such a factor, or even if it was something he knew he was doing. "Mhm. So does that mean you know all of the clan techniques? Is there more to spitting out ink? Is spitting ink all we can do? That's what I kinda gathered from practicing all of those techniques from memory, I guess. It's nice to know I have at least some family with you, Ika~" Ara said, smiling at Toso thankfully as she absentmindedly did the same thing as her apparent Hojo advisor, althou ending her sentence with a redundent name for the species in which her clan had befriended...Did that mean they both procreated?

Toso watched as the musings of his explanations were taken seriously. Ah, ha, Toso's eye's glinted at the girls naivety and thoughts of manipulating her to do his squiddy bidding came to mind. However, she was too young. What age had to do relative to what Toso plotted remained a mystery. This thought process was interrupted when the girl fell with a dusty plop. Then, seeing a familiar face dart in and dart out reminding him of his mission came with the chime of realization. There was never a greater stream of bullshit to have come out of Toso's mouth but the way he said it was like that of a wizened Guru with his monotonous voice. However, now that he had finally gotten his devious playfulness out of the way. Toso would dig into his oversized coat once more. There are a few things that stand out the most amongst us Hojo, our ink is indeed one of them, following is how we apply them, and finally is of course the importance of our limbs" It would be when he said limbs that the two tentacle like appendages arose from the depths of Toso's collar into the open. "Another sign of Hojo maturity and strength is how many limbs they can manifest. One's limbs are like one's head to us Hojo. To an endai limbs are one of the most precious things, while the Shimizu are slightly more fond of manipulating water, and the Korimizu are equal most times on their importance. I'm certain that mayhaps once you've developed a bit more you too may be able to produce these limbs. Bloop. As his spare limbs retracted Toso found what it was he was looking for. It was the Hojo beginners guide he had been using from his father. If this girl truly knew so little about the clan it would have most likely been best to allow her to have it.
"Here you are Bloop." Toso would hand Ara the guide. It's contents containing basically everything one would need to know as a Hojo regarding all their techniques. In truth there were some pages even he hadn't reached yet but they would have been beyond his skill level currently. "Bloop, this notebook contains everything one needs in regards to Hojo techniques. Bloop, it's very important to me bloop. I'll lend it to you but I expect us to see each other again so you can return it bloop." Right at the point where he would have to let go of the book Toso's glasses gave off a menacing glare and his body produced what may have been considered a super serious father's wrath vibe. "WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T LOSE IT. Bloop." His voice then returned to a default almost cheery sounding casual monotone. "Alright then, do you have anymore questions Bloop?"

Ecstatic because of her newfound heritage, at least partially, Ara looked to be just barely containing her excitement about discovering what clan she was a part of, which was a start at least. Toso must have found it quite humorous as his tone seemed to be encouraging the young Shimizu to continue her exploration into her clan's activities. He then spoke of the traditional Shimizu rite of passage. She sat down and listened, managing to not bounce around sporadically on her eternal sugar high and quietly listen while taking every word of Toso's words like holy literature. Every now and again, she would nod or make a noise that sounded like she was agreeing with the coated man squid. When he concluded on that point, the the energetic child spun around a single time before bowing to her elder, or at least the only one she knew currently. "Thank you, Master Squid-chan." When her head was brought up, Ara found a guidebook in front of her which Toso had kindly let her borrow. She gently took it from him and flipped through the pages while listening as he went on about how she needed to return it at a later date. When his voice took on a very threatening tone, chills ran down her spine as she gripped it close to her, having to make a mental note of bringing it back safe and sound to the man. Toso's voice then returned to normal, as if that tagent had never happened, and asked if she had any questions. After thinking for a while, Ara shook her head and put the book under her right arm. "Nope! That answer's all of my questions! Thank you for your time, Squid-chan! I'll be sure to make you proud, ika!~"
