Coming up upon the inn to the hot spring Naoki spoke out. "It's best if I scout the area out and lay a few fun things. As self defense of course~ Be a dear and check us in Ito, Chai~ Maybe in a way that makes us seem like we been here awhile already. You have such dazzling eyes Ito love~ Its a shame if they go unused~" With a devilish smile and cheeky tone Naoki was gone like a shadow.
Still in the area Naoki scouted the perimeter of the hot springs and inn. At this time it didn't seem like the place was all to busy. Using her expertise the Uchiha set up some sealing arrays that covered most of the grounds. Key spots like the hot springs themselves were set up with a Multiple Infinite Embraces laied seal. Due to the seal reach being about 100 feet Naoki only needed to lay Three or four around the area.
Sumika rolled her shoulders casually as she wandered into the hot spings. It'd been a while since she took a break from her work, and she was long past the point at which she deserved a break; plus, it seemed like she hadn't enjoyed the warm waters of a village spring since the days of Uzushiogakure, what with all the nonsense in between then and now. For the moment, the puppeteer relished the fact that she was still a Genin and on Sadayo's s**t list. While everyone else ran around like chickens with their heads cut off at the first sign of trouble, she was part of the group that would be called to action last. Whatever nonsense Sadayo and Co got up to was welcome to stay distant whispers to her. At the moment less access to jutsu didn't seem like such a bad tradeoff.
A hand swept the Jiton cloak from her shoulders after she finally got away from the workers' incessant and insincere fawning, and she squirmed her way out of the rest of her outfit depositing its constituent parts messily atop the dense cube of iron sand. She floated her way into the middle of the spring, basking in the warmth and pondering where her path would take her next. She expected Sadayo would want a checkup, but who the hell knew when that would be. Her left hand formed a single hand seal as she settled into a spot against the far side of the spring. A brilliant white, normal sized rat poofed into existence next to the other, and she played perch as she hoisted it closer. "Palefur said you held the secret to the line-age of the rats or whatever, little guy." She said, looking the small creature in its big black eyes as it cautiously sat upright on the back of her hand. "But you've been hanging out with me in the office for days and I still haven't figured it out. Come on guy, what's the secret? How're you some big crazy summon? I promise I won't tell anyone." The rat bobbed up and down a few times, but aside from that, the small shinobi got nothing from her even smaller companion. She sighed and settled a little further down, depositing the rat in the the messy waves of her almost equally bright hair and letting her mind drift a little.

xXx Nothing in this world is free, Naoki was right. The Gunbai was safely tucked away in the pouch on their hip. Sealed into a scroll for future use. This was the first time in a long time they were out of their mask. Wearing normal clothes. Naoki was just as annoying as ever, those words prompted a very large roll of the eyes as theyโd stay with Ito and Chai. โI can pay, if youโd like B-โ Rabu started to say boss, but cut themselves off, only to chime with. โWe might need to come up with names for all of us. It's up to you though, Ito.~โ It was important for them to lay low, from what Rabu knew, the village had no way of identifying them by their appearance. โThanks for the help, by the way. Iโm feeling better already, Chai.โ They'd give him as warm a smile Rabu could give.

tabโWeโll worry about that once we get more settled in, hun.โ Ito clapped her hand on Rabuโs shoulder and took her steps inside the hotsprings as well. The bandit walked up to the counter, who had someone who was very clearly the owner running the front desk. The pink haired woman greeted her and stood in a way that only the woman behind the counter, and TORNA, could see Itoโs face. โHey Mama, weโre back with another client.โ She said, her voice ringing with subtle chakra weaved into the words. For added effect, her eyes shifted to the gemstone pink Sharingan. The pinwheel eyes started to turn slowly, hypnotizing her in addition to her voice activated genjutsu. โThink we can get him the best room available?โ
The woman, in a daze, simply handed Ito the key to such a room before walking off. โScore~โ Ito deactivated her Sharingan and turned to Rabu and Chai. She held up the key with a big grin on her face. โFree suite for us~ Hm?โ Ito turned to a tap on her shoulder. Mama was back, and had placed a folded uniform on the counter. Despite the Genjutsu, there was no getting around the womanโs dedication for her girls to work, it seemed. Itoโs face fell and begrudgingly took the uniform as she handed Chai the key. โYou guys go on head, Iโll get changed, I guess.โ
The woman made her way to the nearest changing room, put the clothes on, and tied her hair back. This, however, put her in the hotsprings where she saw a girl talking to aโฆ rat. With the detail of wanting to keep up appearances of staff, ito walked over to her. โHello, miss, is everything in working order for you today?โ She asked with a sweet smile.
Chai nodded at Naoki's directive, following Ito to the check-in. He couldn't help the easy smile that fell on his face as Ito weaved her persuasive magic. He was happy to have obtained such good suites, but he accepted the key and held his hand to cover his face as Ito was handed a uniform. It was simply too funny, but he knew she wouldn't take so kindly to him laughing at her, so he simply stifled the reaction as best he could. "Such a working woman, Ito," he managed to say without laughing, "I'm very proud of you." He dangled the keys between them as she went towards the changing room.
"We appreciate you, Breadwinner!" He called out after her as he returned to the springs with the rest of the gang. He shrugged off the praise he received. "All in a day's work. You all took a bigger brunt of the hurt than I did." He flashed the keys up for Naoki to see as well before pocketing them, letting the keys sit in his right pocket while his special sand timer sat in his left pocket. "I think it's time to change into something more relaxing, huh?" He shrugged off his jacket right there, making eye contact with their white-haired member as he did.
The puppeteer sighed and her head lolled back, platinum blonde hair parting to show two small black horns more prominently; one of which the rat took to using as a step to get a closer look at the approaching woman, its big black eyes staring intently. For its part, the rat appeared rather well-kept, more like a pet than the variety of rodent one might find digging through a back alley dumpster, and not nearly as large. Sumika hadn't remembered the staff at the last hot spring she visited being pushy enough to come do their routine when people were in the actual spring, but she supposed it had been a while and who the hell knew what the owner of this place considered their actual business to be. For her part, the little puppeteer did not seem terribly concerned with the concept of modesty.
Emerald eyes pulled themselves open a moment later, but they just stared up into the sky, sitting open lazily as if it was the best the woman could manage at the moment. More a gesture of acknowledgement that she was being spoken to than an actual attempt to see anything. "Uuuuh, yeah. Look, the rat's not a rat, it's like an old god or something. Actually, I guess it's still a rat, just not like the normal kind of rat. It's not going to bother y'all, I can't even get it to talk to me." One of her hands gestured along with the words nonchalantly as if this was an entirely normal statement, coming from an entirely normal person, neither of which was likely to be true for anyone but Sumika. If it registered that a rat in the hot springs might be seen as a problem, she either didn't care or didn't show it. "Soooo, I guess business must be slow, considering something spooked half the village." She continued, awkwardly changing the topic with the classic small talk tactic of stating something she didn't know about anything observable, and seeing whether or not it was refuted; settling on the hot spring that at the moment, only she physically occupied. Clearly she hadn't expected to be having a conversation with someone other than the rat. Or, rather, she hadn't been expecting to have this type of conversation with someone other than the rat. "Of course I'd be getting pestered instead of picked up." The thought came as she seemed to space out for a moment.

Finishing a few chores the raven haired girl entered the Inn. Her bandages gone by this point she'd be greeted kindly by the owner, Momma. The older Woman greeting Naoki as if one of her girls that works for her. Knowing that Ito had checked them in Naoki quickly put two and two together. "I'm back momma~ I'm tired So I think imma go take a bath.."
Keeping it short the Uchiha moved passed the woman at her desk. Making her way to the changing rooms Naoki saw both Rabu and Chai standing in the hall out side the changing rooms. Chai starting to undress right there...."Ara ara~ Sir Can you not change out in the open, we have changing rooms for such things.. If you need anything just Ask for Freya-Chan and I'll be right there~" Pointing to the cloth covered entrances of the changing rooms. Naoki again didn't give much time of day to the two as she kept walking with a wave, before entering the woman's changing room.
Taking a few minutes to disrobe and put her hair up Naoki entered the Woman's Osen in nothing but a towel. A towel that seemed to struggle to wrap around the woman. Small sealing tags dangling from her ears. The Raven haired woman scanned the steamy bath with her emerald orbs. Only taking a slight pause Ito came into view. "Ara ara~ Ichi-San!" Calling out to the pink hair girl with a name previously deiced on Naoki walked over."Mother said we are closing up soon so you can just relax for the rest of the night." Pretending that she hadn't already noticed that Ito was talking to someone in the bath. Naoki reacted as if it was new information. "Oh I'm very sorry! I didn't know Ichi was talking to someone~ I'm one of Momma's girls, Freya. I hope you have a good bath but I must inform you that we are closing soon."Eyes that seemed closed Freya smiled to Sumika delightfully. Before pointing to her pet. "Ara ara~ Also If momma catches you with pets in the bath she's gonna Ban you. We have strict rules about things like that. But I wont tell this one time. But you'll owe me one~"
xXx Itoโs hand made a distinct clap against their shoulder. Though muffled by the jacket they wore. Theyโd stay right by their Bossโ side, walking to the counter where they ultimately met, Mama. In the moment that Ito asked for the best room, Rabu giggled out and moved in close to Chai. Their arms wrapped around his, grinning up at him. They were trying to play their own part. โNice job, Boss!โ Rabu whispers loudly, after Mama slipped away. One arm was still wrapped around Chaiโs while they gave Ito a big thumbs up. When they were dismissed, they gave a nod and let Chai lead the way. โRight, see ya. Coooome on let's go change, Mister!~โ Theyโd press a hand against Chaiโs chest, their eyes locked on his. โIโm proud of her too. Sheโs the best."
xXx Rabu stood in the hall, eyeing the ladyโs changing room, only to turn their head back to Chai, his jacket starting to come off. Theyโd freak, theyโd never seen a man naked. Their hands would move in front of them. โWoooow!โ Rabu and Chaiโs eyes were locked, that crimson face was finally on display. โAra Ara~โ Naoki interrupted them, they were just about to yell at Chai. โY-Yeah use the changing room, dork! Iโm going in there!โ Rabu pointed at their assigned door. โEnjoy the spring thoughโฆโ
xXx With that Rabu slipped in after Naoki, now this would be a good time to note, Rabu and even Maeko have never been to a hotspring before. With that in mind, Rabu utilized subterfuge, peeking at Naoki as they undressed. A realization rushed into their mind. โO-Oh god we have to get-get...oh no...โ They were wide eyed, and a blush covered their face. Their eyes peered down at their own chest, only to size up Naokiโs. They were frowning, they were in their own head. A sigh would slip free and theyโd walk to another part of the changing room. Rabu made sure no one was around and started rifling through lockers. Finally, a baby blue and white striped one piece was found that fit them.
xXx Rabu changed, and slipped out behind Naoki, eyes averted. A look of frustration seemed to be stuck to their face, arms crossed. Their pale legs and arms were exposed. Scarring shown to the world in different spots. Then they saw the Boss in disguise, that frown turned into a big smile, eyes filling with admiration. Theyโd repeat the name Naoki used, โIchi-Sama!~โ Theyโd bring their right hand up in a wave, eyes closed, a huge joy filled smile stretched across their face. โWhoโs your new friend?โ Rabu slipped in the water, and in a moment they were totally relaxed, โPheeeeewโฆโ theyโd sigh out, slowly slipping close to where Ito and Naoki were. Rabu rested on the edge of the spring as they stared up at the two. Sumika and Rabu both lingering in the warmth of the spring. โIโm another one of the staff, you can call me Maeko!~โ Theyโd give Sumiโ the peace sign, before it turned into a point. โI like your rat.โ

tabโUhhhh.โ Itoโs eyebrow cocked and her head tilted to the side. Obviously Sumikaโs words left the woman speechless. But how was she supposed to respond to that? An elder god? It looked like a typical rat! Was she going to try and argue with an obvious lunatic about it? Ito definitely didnโt want to cause a scene.
โSome things are more than meets the eye, you know.โ Kokuoโs voice rang out through Itoโs mind unannounced. โMaybe if you focused youโd be able to sense the energy from that little rat.โ
Shut up, just, โcause youโre a mountain sizedโฆ horse? Fish? What are you anyway? Ito thought to the demon. Kokuoโs response would just be an indignant huff followed by silence. Yeah thatโs what I thought.
Seeing Naoki show up brought Ito back to reality. She jumped in surprise at the womanโs figure, but managed to compose herself fairly quickly. โAh, yeah, usually we donโt allow pets in the springs, elder god or not.โ Ito murmured, rubbing the back of her head, shifting her gaze from Naoki, her cheeks flush. When Rabu burst onto the scene, Ito was relieved to have some semblance of distraction. โYeah, I heard something happened at the gates, I guess. Weโre too far away to be worried, though. Iโm sure the shinobi have it handled.โ
Chai laughed at Naoki and Rabu's reactions to him stripping off his jacket in the middle of the springs, but he relented and finished stripping in a changing room. He was unabashed as he then moved through the springs, catching bits of conversation about a rat or something from his teammates and someone else entirely, but he didn't pay much attention to it. With Ito, Naoki, and Rabu talking with the other woman, he knew things were handled. As such, he settled into a spring, unaware if it was gendered or co-ed. He leaned back and released a deep sigh, arms coming up to rest on the rim as he let his head fall back against a warm rock. "Thank Zelel," he breathed out. He had nothing on his naked person besides the sand timer that rested in his left hand. He played with it idly as he relaxed, wondering if his team would stick with the employee act completely or if they would relent enough to come join him in the spring.
Sumika smirked at the other entries to the hot spring, giving a little wave as Ito attempted to find words. "Thanks." She said in response to the compliment. She was about to correct the... more endowed woman when a concentrated scratching sound began coming from one wall of the spring. The puppeteer's eyes got slightly wider as if she knew what was coming, and then Ninkilim was referred to as a pet again. "Nah nah nah, not a pet." She said, forming a seal, at which point the rat poofed away and Sumika did her best ta-da pose while remaining somewhat modestly conceal by the water. "That's a pet." The woman added, gesturing towards the sounds.
As if on cue a large panda wearing a pack crested the top of the barricade, clumsily lowering itself down to the path at the edge of the spring, where it rolled onto its sizeable butt and looked around. A few of the little decorative tiles from the wall top came down with him, eliciting a wince from his companion as they cracked on the stone. "Cobalt! Buddy! I thought I left you with some tasty shoots!" And she was off across the spring, any concern for her own exposure now entirely secondary to dealing with the panda that was curiously starting to dip a paw into the hot water. "Nah ah ah ah, no you don't! This spring's for people, not bored bears. And you've still got my stuff, ahh!" What followed was one half play time and one half battle of wills, wherein the woman attempted to wrestle the panda out away from the edge of the pool, a feat the tiny shinobi seemed surprisingly capable of winning. "So, uh, agh-, mnh, maybe put the wall on my tab? Is that a thing?" She asked between bouts off warding off big lazy bats of Cobalt's massive paws. One of her hands all but picked the panda up off the ground as the other directed a large black bottle to float off through the air and settle on the edge of the spring next to the one the others had called Ichi and Maeko. "Free sake if you don't try to kick me out!" She said breathlessly as her furry compatriot finally began to accept that he wasn't getting in the water.
These were her just rewards for trying to teach the little scamp how to do more than just eat bamboo as a cub. What she ended up with was a pack mule with the temperament of a terrier and the relative mobility of an academy student. Having a bear that could climb almost anything was only cool until you decided that you'd had enough of living out of a pack, at which point he became a second - or third in Sumika's case - job. "Name's Sumika of the Iron Sand, Rat Queen of the Burrowed Grounds, First and only Sumikage, Konoha's Gregarious Genin, but you can call me Trouble if you'd like. Or Sumika, it's whatever." She added, finally responding to Maeko's introduction.

"Ara ara~ Oh my... Oh dear..." Hand placed on her cheek Freya watched along with the others at the events that transpired. An entertaining show to say the least. Momma wasn't going to be very happy with the damage caused. A bottle of Sake tossed to the ground the raven haired woman picked it up."I will be sure to tell momma this is a gift from you Trouble-san. But I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to leave with all your... Company.. Don't worry since you're a Shinobi of the villager we will send you a bill miss Sumika-Chan. Images of the battle on the walls flashed through their skull, a satisfied giggle slipping from them. Rabuโs emerald eyes would look to Ito. โIchi-Sama, wanna go out for some Ramen later? You, Sumi-Chan! Whereโs some good places to eat?โ
xXx Rabu waited for a response, the rat that had been so adorably chilling, POOFED! Rabu found themself frowning, they missed the little guy. โThatโs a pet.โ The sound of a heavy weight dropping from several feet would resound through the spring. When their eyes fell upon the absolute cutest, big fluffiest, panda they almost lost all control. Their first instinct was to charge the beast, and strangle it in the biggest bear hug they could muster. โAaaaah! Kawaii-desu!~โ
xXx A frown formed when those tiles fell atop the majestic beast, the poor thing flinching. When Sumika pulled themself out of the spring to deal with Cobalt, Maeko averted their eyes. Best to avoid anything that might get a rise out of them. Theyโd blushed enough in front of their comrades for one day. But the ruckus finally brought those emerald jewels to focus on the bear wrestling. Theyโd clap and smile, though it was fake, something in the back of their mind was disgusted with how long it took to bring the animal to heel.
xXxโDooo we have tooo bring it to Momma? Canโt we just sip on it?โ Theyโd say it with an exasperated tone. With that though, they finally noticed Chai had joined them. Rabu looked from Naoki to Ito and then to Sumiโ, then they started moving through the water towards Chai. With Naoki requesting Sumika to leave, they waved goodbye. โItโs been a pleasure meeting ya, Miss Rat Queen!โ

Alice walked through the streets of Konoha, smile on her face that seemed to cause any of the random people walking along the streets that had come to know he to give her a look of concern. She so wished she could simply take the lives of the people that looked her direction, she felt the need the urge. Of course she couldn't do just that right now, she had to find her sister. She looked up towards the sky, sniffing the air it seemed before stopping. Turning to look at the building she had just walked by. A golden glow in her eyes indicated she found what she was looking for. "Well Well." She said as she would approach the building. Her head tilted to the side and she would take a deep breath. Wind chakra would surround her, and she would kneel down, pushing off the ground and into the air.
As she soared into the sky, above the building initially and then above the barricades of the hot spring that connected to it. She caught sight of a few forms in the spring area, one seemed to be wrestling with a large panda, two in the water nearby each other, another holding a bottle of sake and finally the person who she seemed to be looking for. As she descended next to the girl who seemed to be the only clothed figure she would speak. "Looks like I found you, little miss steam." She said to the girl rather...vaguely considering the context which they would likely not be aware of. The smile on her face indicating something of a twisted sort of intent behind her reason for being here. Of course some of the people present would likely recognize Alice, however that was not of her concern. Everything about her was different, her demeanor as she stood there. The smile on her face that seemed very unlike someone of her personality type. This was not her...but someone else, rather something else that seemed to be moving her body for her.
Her attention remained focused on the clothed female, not to say they were not aware of their surrounding...but she also seemed to be unconcerned with the others around....with one exception. A quick glance towards the woman who was wrestling the panda. Something about that girl seemed to interest whatever was in control of Alice. However she quickly turned her head back towards the girl she landed next to. "Surprised to see...my esteemed self?" She laughed....obnoxiously.
