The Choose Your Move Game That Hopefully Doesn't End in a Ruined Dress

Game begins February 12th at 8am PST

Attending a swanky party means dealing with the chance of running into someone who's been partying a little too hard - oh no!

Over the course of the next three days, you'll have six prompts to respond to in an attempt to get away from the rowdy individual and the repercussions that come with attending a large, fancy party.

Every 12 hours, a post will be dropped. You have until the next post to respond to the given prompt. Each post requires a dice roll of one 10-sided dice, which will help determine how well you dodge the follies laid out ahead of you.

Add your total dice rolls as you play along and the person with the highest number at the end of the game will win a formal alt civ donated by the generous demon_pachabel. Should the event arise that we have multiple winners, there will be a randomization between the winners for the civ, but all winners will walk away with a prize!

Time Zone for posts:
8 PST, 9 MST, 10 CST, 11 EST

Please have your posts filled out before the next roll. You have 12 hours to do so for each one so there's no excuse not to at least toss a blurb in there!

For every 250 words written, you may submit for another ticket in the Raffle thread.

Every 12 hours, there will be a new prompt.

There will be 6 prompts in total.

Instead of a 7th prompt, the final post will be made on the morning of the 15th and the tally will be made for all participants' points. The player with the highest count will win the prize or in case of a draw, there will be a randomization to determine the winner of the alt civ.

Using PST, the posts will be made as followed:
12th - 8am, 8pm
13th - 8am, 8pm
14th - 8am, 8pm
15th - 8am <- This will be the final post

Any post made that has not been filled out will be disqualified towards the player's count, so please make sure to get your posts filled in!

Please do NOT delete your post. If you mess up the roll, please mention so in the post and roll again.

You are allowed to only participate with one character for this. Sorry! We want to keep it fair for everyone.

Prompt One:

You're enjoying yourself immensely at what could possibly be one of the most fun Valentine's Day parties you've ever been to. Unfortunately, though, it seems that other people have been having a little too much fun at the same event.

As you're standing there minding your own business, an intoxicated individual begins stumbling around, his zig-zag path headed... right for you!

You do your best to dodge and....

Roll one 10-sided dice to see how well you handle the drunkard!

1-3: You move to the side... only for him to move to the same side! Oh no! You two manage to crash into each other, his drink spilling all over the front of your outfit.

4-6: You manage to guess which way the drunkard moves next and manage to slide out of his way just in time... to miss him, but not part of his drink that sloshes out and gets on the bottom part of your attire. Well... at least he missed most of it?

7-10: You're successful in your attempts to dodge the drunkard! Good for you, look at that agility - in fancy attire, no less!

Fancy parties really weren't Adaline's thing, but she couldn't help but be curious to see if this one had the same disastrous effect that the others hosted within the city seemed to. She hadn't been party to any of them, heck, she had only moved back to the city in the last month or so buuuuut she'd seen the news reports, or the blogs that people cared to rant about how yet again they'd gone out for a good time and had been so rudely attacked for it.

So, she'd finagled a pretty snazzy outfit, a nice dark blue lady suit with a white button up underneath and a bowtie (because bowties were cool).

Of course, right when she found a place for her to watch and observe, some dummy was drunkenly stumbling around and--

Oh, no, oh no.

Adaline hurried to get out of his way, barely moving as he slid behind her and---

Ewwwwwwww.

The dummy had spilled his drink all down her back!!

((Anyone is free to bother Adaline between drunken stumbles~))

Pat had been enjoying the event; the flowers, the refreshments, the people, the music, and most definitely his date but even the best of parties required drinks so after excusing himself the tall redhead went to russle up something for himself and Fi. He had nearly squirreled his way through the crowd when he noticed a guy stumbling towards him. The other party goer's steps were wobbly and unsteady, if the glass in his hand was anything to go by the poor fellow was a few sheets into the wind.

Trying to avoid the guy became more and more difficult as every time Pat tried to step out of the way the drunk guy would step right back into the path of collision. It was almost like they were dancing at a distance... or the drunk was doing it on purpose. Either way it was annoying as hell and Pat was getting fed up with it. Not that he had much longer to deal with it since the drunk was nearly at him and unless Pat can pull off some fancy footwork he would be bathing in whatever was in that cup the drunk was carrying, at least that's how it seemed with the way the poor man was wobbling on his feet.

Lucky at the last second Pat was able to successfully dodge the drunk who carrened into another attendee, spilling his glass down the poor man's pants. Pat was exceedingly happy to have dodged that, having to explain a wet stain on his croch was not something he wanted to do that night.

Tzuyu nervously patted her dress. She hadvrhe week off. She never had so many days off before. Her mother smiled at her and told her to take the whole week off.

"We are currently going to semi shut down the bed and breakfast for renovations."

Her parents were thinking of adding another room or two to the house. That was going to be a big project.

Tzuyu sighed and looked around to see if she saw anybody carrying food. She picked her lips. Pigs in a blanket, yum. Cavier? She never had it but she was willing to.

Out of the corner of her eye she noticed someone coming towards her. She turned slightly. It looked like a drink person and they were heading her way. In his hand was a a wine glass it looked filled to the top with a red looking liquid.

Nope not today.

Tzuyu couldn't mess her grandma's dress up. Sure it was from the stone age but still.

She managed to lean to her left and pretend to reach for something. Luckily the drunk didn't collide with her.

Evren jolted quickly out of the way when someone stumbled in her direction. It wasn’t enough to stop the bottom of her dress from getting slightly stained by the drink the man was holding. She pouted and quickly went and grabbed some napkins dabbing trying to remove the drink from her skirt.

Sadie was just standing by the wall sipping her non-alcoholic punch and tapping the toes of her crystal studded shoes on the floor while she people-watched. Her parents had thought it would be good for her to get out a little, and she didn't have the heart to refuse the ticket they'd bought for her. At least there were some interesting things to see. Lots of people had absolutely lovely clothes.

Her thoughts were interrupted by a wild-eyed woman in one stiletto heel with a overflowing champagne glass who might as well have been charging in her general direction.

"Oh, um, excuse me," she said, her quiet voice hardly carrying in the noisy room. The woman didn't seem to notice. This called for more drastic measures, especially as they were getting in frighteningly close proximity. Sadie slid out of the way, neatly slipping behind a nearby table just as a large portion of the woman's drink found its way to the floor where she'd just been standing.

Felicity Feardorcha

Of course the moment the ball was announced, Felicity had found herself quickly in possession of a ticket. She'd taken the evening off from work, delighted to indulge and socialize. All for a good cause, too. She'd begun her indulgence early, thrilled by the outlet and excuse to dressed up for an evening. The sheer slit of the dress fell along her left leg, allowing her serpent tattoo to peek out as it wrapped around her leg and abdomen. Gold and ruby earrings glinted along her ears, stacked slender rings accenting her fingers. Her hair was left down for the most part, some of her bangs pulled back in tight braids to a gold and ruby clip at the back of her head. An elegant look matched with relatively tame makeup in the form of smokey eyes and a soft pink lipstick. She felt great strolling through the event, rubbing shoulders with a few faces she'd seen before at previous gatherings--and avoiding those in tackier, non-brand attire. Ew. Her dark heels clicked casually against the floor, sipping champagne slowly from a flute she'd gained with a fake ID and a few bats of her lashes. Not to mention some help from the window of sorts at the side of her body.

Delighted as she was, and wholly in her element, Felicity had perhaps become too comfortable. She certainly wasn't paying as much attention as she should have of the more... inebriated guests. The man who'd begun to wobble and slosh his way towards her was for a moment largely unnoticed, meaning to simply move around him as one would in any gathering. But his movements were off, and her dark eyes narrowed as she took in his state. Wrinkles formed as her nose scrunched up briefly before a serene smile was put into place. "Excuse me," she stated in a firm voice, hoping to break through some of his haze enough to get him out of her way.

The attempt was unsuccessful though, even as Felicity began to side-step as the man began to sway. The glass in his hand was eyed with particular unease--soon particular malice as she gave a startled yelp. "Oh no!" She stared down at the darker red that had sloshed over the rim of the glass, onto the floor and her dress. It was along part of the skirt, near the slit no less, and she glowered at the man as she tried to flag down a member of waitstaff to get something to try and clean off her dress. "I can't believe how ridiculous people get at these parties!"

Prompt Two:

You manage to bypass the drunk (or run straight into him) only to find yourself bounding straight towards the nearest dinner table. Oh no! You were so distracted by the intoxicated partygoer that you weren't paying attention to your next step and you manage to hip-check the beautifully decorated table.

Let's see how your reflexes are....

Roll one 10-sided dice to see what happens!

1-3: You bump into the table, sending the plates and drinks sitting on the surface right into the laps of their surprised owners. Way to ruin some other people's evenings too, you goof!

4-6: It isn't your most graceful moment, but you manage to catch the table from getting too jostled. Unfortunately, you don't stop it in time for a glass of champagne to come toppling over... right onto your clothes. Ugh. At least it missed the other guests... right?

7-10: Your balancing skills are top notch and you manage to not only steady the table in time, but you do so with a winning smile that dazzles the startled guests at the table. Look at you, fancypants!

((You are welcome to keep a tally at the bottom of your post if you would like, but we also have a tally sheet to help keep up with everyone's scores!

If you're late to the party, feel free to jump in at the latest prompt. You can't roll for the past ones, but we'd love to have you for all the ones going forward!

Next prompt will be posted tomorrow morning at 8PST <3

While trying to dab herself off unfortunately Evren ran straight into the refreshment table. With a splash, she noticed she got a cup of the campaign all over her outfit to the point it even drenched her socks. Evren teared up a bit she could feel how gross and squishy everything was. What horrible luck she didn't know if there would be any way to salvage what she was wearing. She reeked of the drink and she felt her parents would accuse her of drinking the stuff.

Pat had pulled a fast one when it came to dodging the drunk. He ended up dry and free of booze but as he turned to continue on his way to the refreshments he found that unfortunately he was a lot closer than he expected. A table full of dinners was right in front of him and there was just no stopping his forward motion. His hip jammed right into the beautifully decorated table while the dinners gaped at him, the utensils chimed and chattered against the plates and glasses while the centerpiece of flowers wobbled.

He nearly sighed in relief when after a moment nearly everything settled back down but he muffled a curse when the centerpiece started to tip over. Lunging over Pat was able to catch it from crashing down on the white tablecloth but in the process his elbow caught a nearly full glass of champagne and spilled it all down the front of his pants.

He had avoided the drunk only to end up with wet patch all down his leg anyway. Oh fun. And to think he wanted to make a good impression on Fi and her friends. That wasn't going to happen, not if they saw him now. He needed to find a bathroom and get cleaned up pronto but first he needed to apologize to the group that he nearly squashed.

"Terribly sorry folks. Enjoy your evening. Don't drink and drive." He muttered a quick apology and even a little PSA with a weak grin and a shrug before turning away. His original quest for refreshments would have to wait until he found a bathroom or atleast a napkin.

Rhona Lee -- Navy Blue Cocktail Dress with black ankle boots

Oh of course this would be Rhona's life right now! Why would it not be Rhona's life? She nearly laughed at the absurdity of it all and actually would have had she not been irrefutably irritated about the whole thing. She dodged the drunkard deftly, thanking whoever was listening to her garbled and frantic prayers as she did so. However that all nearly came crashing down, literally. As she stepped out of the way of the stumbling drinker Rhona felt her hip collide with the sharp corner of a table.

For a moment it was only irritation brought on by the sharp pain of the impact, but then the delicate tinkling of crystal reached her ears. Irritation quickly gave way to raw panic and the world around her slowed to frame-by-frame clarity. It was actually pretty amazing, as her body acted on it's own while the single moment she was experiencing stretched on forever. She quickly grabbed the table behind her, twisting her back in such a way that would later bring her agonizing pain whenever she tried to move. Her lower half followed in what might have been a dance move had she not been currently cussing at the same time. She stayed frozen there, hands planted on the side of the table, watching in fear as the delicate little crystal flutes jostled and danced with one another for what seemed like years before finally settling back down.

Time sped back up and she sighed, leaning heavily over the table with the weight of her relief and waited for her heart to stop pounding. Had anyone seen that? She was caught between wishing someone had witnessed that feat of agility and quickness and hoping they didn't because it was her fault after all. In the end, no one seemed to be looking her way, but that didn't really mean that they didn't see.

But life is a roller coaster and so especially was Rhona Lee's, for her relief quickly transmuted to confusion when she felt something strange on her hip and that confusion turned back into irritation once she realized what the sensation was. She turned slowly and prayed again to whoever was listening that she wasn't feeling what she was feeling, but once she saw it she knew. A crystal flute lay on its side by her hip, probably knocked over when Rhoan turned, dumping its contents onto the floor and, in its way, her dress.

She took a deep breath to center herself with clenched fists and a tight jaw.

Okay so her back was wet and it was just mildly uncomfortable. If she was quick enough about it she could peel off her jacket and--

She tripped over her converse's loose lace while tugging off her jacket and found herself spiraling into the nearest table. Her hip hit the table, unsettling it from it's spot and her hands flew out to steady herself. One ended up on the shoulder of a party goer she didn't know and the other...

Well, it went right into his plate.

Oh no.

Several drinks were knocked over and most of the food on the table was ruined

"Ohmygod," she squeaked, jerking back and letting her hands fly up to cover her mouth. "I am like, so sorry."
