The sun was starting to dim as it lowered over horizon of the open sea. the cry of seagulls could be heard as sailors and seadogs walked across the pier going about their business. It was about the time of day to start rushing your chores before you run out of daylight.

A few of the sailors that had finished their work already laughed to each other as they entered the Mermaid's Tail. It was a small tavern located near the pier, with the accommodation of surly seamen and drunken pirates in mind. A good business move of the Sarim Cleric's Academy, who owned the deed to the pub. The profits they made off the pub could keep tuitions low for the students that attended classes there.

The men entered the tavern and carelessly bumped into the back of a man's chair, just about knocking him over as they proceeded ignorantly to the bar. The man stood up and stared at the group of burly men, brushing his long white hair out of his eyes. As if deciding against the idea of confronting the group, he sat back down and faced his company at the table. "They'll let any idiots into Port Sarim these days..." he said loudly over the rabble of seamen, pirates and citizens alike around them, looking towards the group of men and hoping that they had heard him.

He took a long shot of his drink, and wiped his mouth with his sleeve in a familiar careless way. His pale, young-looking face contrasted the odd white hair the man had, a hint of sky blue streaked the neck-length locks. Slightly irritated, but altogether satisfied sky-blue eyes looked to his two companions. "So, What now, eh?" he asked in a strange watery dialect.

Across the worn oakwood table sat another quiet figure, a dazzling young woman who appeared to be just breaking the age of twenty. She sat in silence for the most part, as she had for most of the day, though she looked up when she heard the thud of something hitting the floor, which she soon realized was the back legs of the chair across from her. She watched as the sailors went merrily on their way to the bar and shook her head, causing strands of her almost knee length black locks to slip over her shoulder.
Sailors... She thought with a bit of ire. They had no manners at all.

Her deep violet eyes peered out beneath her satin bangs, the irises looking as if they had been carved straight from amethyst crystals, watching the sailors at the bar and hoping that they were too drunk or preoccupied to realize that Misuto was referring to them. A soft sigh escaped her rose colored lips as she raised one delicate, porcelain hand to her doll-like face, rubbing her temples gently. With her large almond eyes, long curling eyelashes, full lips, and tiny nose, a doll was the best thing to describe her appearance, a fragile porcelain doll.

"Well," she started, in answer to her companion's question, "I suppose we continue to wait." she said simply, in her soft, windy voice. Her speech was slow and deliberate whenever she spoke, as if she were trying to make sure that everyone around her understood what she was saying so that she wouldn't have to repeat herself. "The captain seems to be taking his sweet time in getting here." She made a face which crinkled her perfect features slightly. "I hope he hurries... These sailors are giving me a headache..." She commented. It was rare that Hana would complain about something like that, but for as long as they had been sitting here, she thought she had the right. The thoughts of a bunch of rowdy sailors was enough to give anyone a headache when paired with their physical voices all piled one on top of the other.

Her left hand went out in front of her, grasping the perspiring glass of ice water that sat in front of her. Her bare fingers closed around the glass, though her palm was shielded from the tiny droplets on the outside by her old leather glove that she always wore. She raised the almost empty glass to her lips to finish off her drink and then sat it back on the table with disinterest. No sooner had she pulled her hand back and looked away than a new glass was sat down beside her. She looked over at the red liquid inside and then up to the waiter who sat it beside her as if asking him why she kept delivering these to her, though she said nothing as of yet.

"From the gentleman at the bar." He said simply, motioning toward a large burly sailor who looked as if he hadn't bathed properly in a good month. The man was grinning over at her with a wide smile. He was missing one of his front teeth.

Another soft sigh escaped her. If they insisted upon ordering her drinks, could they not see that she was only drinking water? The very thought of downing that putrid liquid that they called red wine made her queasy. This was the third one since they had gotten here. She looked back to the waiter and nodded politely. "My thanks." She said simply, then waited for the waiter to walk away before sliding the glass over to the man beside her. "I hope you are enjoying this more than I." She said simply.
