Hiyas, I be Samantha, and I am currently on track to being a professional photographer. I earn my certificate of professionalism and acceptance into the PPA on June 20th, so I'm very excited! When I'm not feeding my love of photography, I'm feeding my love of karaoke, DDR, socializing, reading, calligraphy, and tons more. Most people call me crazy because of some of the odd things I pull. So I'm definitely a fun person to get to know!

I have a domain, but I'm still coding that site. x'D

Hey, I'm Jessie, I'm on the brink of turning 14 (yes, i'm like the youngest one here, whatever.) I am a GIRL. I was inspired to begin taking photos only a few years ago, by my uncle (check his pics. out @ bohnetphotography.com SWEETNESS). I currently have a crappy piece of crap that's supposed to actually take photos (Olympus FE-100), but I try, right? I didn't start posting my photos until I joined, so my deviantart is pretty (Our computer also died, which contributed).

Hello everyone!

I've been taking pictures for about 4 to 5 months now and I must say I've never felt so inspired by a camera before. I've even been and will now consider it a profession. Within a year, I will be going to college and making it my life.

The camera I use is a Fujifilm 5.2 megapixels E510 Finepix digital camera. It's not the best camera but I still love it becuase it was my first. I intend to save up my money and buy myself a professional camera one of these days.

My photographs can be seen at http://alicecat.deviantart.com/ and http://misscogs.carbonmade.com/.

In my photographs, I use high contrasting and dark lighting. I also mainly shoot in black and white as well. I do not use any forms of editing besides the contrasting and lighting options. I also add borders to my pictures for a nice, crisp look. I use the program GIMP 2. No photoshoping.

My name is Natalie - I'm 24 years old and I've been into photography for 8 years, from perspectives of being both behind and in front of the camera. I still can't decide which I prefer.

When it comes to using film, I've taken two black and white photography courses and worked in my college's dark room (I really miss that chemical smell). I've never had the oppertunity to develop color film, but typically I just drop those rolls off at a local CVS and keep my fingers crossed that they don't ruin them.

Last fall, I worked for Lifetouch taking photographs of students for yearbooks - and I learned quickly that it was more about quantity and efficiency than about anything else. Commercial photography is not for me. Now I simply cart my camera around and find excuses to use it because I WANT to.

My main focus is portraiture, and I prefer to capture images that contain a hint of fantasy. The real world is far too boring - I love costumes, crazy make-up, fake blood, colored lights, etc.

I spend a lot of time on self-portraiture... to the extent that some people might call me vain. Part of me agrees, but in reality I'm the easiest model to get a hold of and I've collected a fabulous wardrobe over the years. .. so why let it go to waste?

Obviously since I'm posting here, I am new.
I'm pretty new to photography the art, only learned last year to actually use a camera, but I have been studying pictures and things like that for about 4 years now.

I mostly shoot with film, but I love looking at other peoples digital and film work.

Hi, just joined.

I dabble in photography casually, usually with an old Nikon D50 with default lenses. I hope to go further into exploring this hobby in the future by trying out more lenses and learning more about light and composition.

My gallery, which is more of a collection of memories (including gaming screenshots) than an artistic portfolio, is here:

Feel free to send me comments and advice. smile

My...Re-introduction?
Hey, I've been a member a while, was active for maybe a month and then poofed. But my interest in photography is beginning to spike again after a spell of carrying my camera everywhere but never looking for shots. Oh..I feel I've skipped a bit;
My Name's Eóin, I'm Irish (And that's born/raized/living in...not from Boston =P) and I've just turned 17. I use a Fujifilm S5000 but Crave something better..but with a habit for adopting expensive hobbies and the lack of a job to facilitate them that's not likely so I don't complain, I'm better off than a lot of budding photographers.
I've little knoledge of cameras themselves which is something I'm looking to remedee and I lack any photoediting software so the only editing I use is the basics (Composition/Colour saturation etc) which I use either paint.net or that little "Fix" button on Vista...heh.
I think that's it....thanks for not kicking me due to my inactivity, hope you like my shots =)

At 24, I feel incredibly old here but this is Gaia after all so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised...

I got my BA in photography from college last year and have since started my own business. Back in school, I studied B&W film. Then I moved on to color and digital. Business is achingly slow right now, but it will pick up soon enough when the weather changes.

You can visit my personal website at www.nathanmichaud.net although you should be warned that it's a work in progress for the moment. I have MUCH more of my work posted on deviantart at http://skittles4u.deviantart.com/ as well as my facebook business page at http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Nathan-Michaud-Photography/236992253508?ref=sgm
