Darkwood Forest.... Beware!

She slowly reached for the handkerchief, shaking. Her eyes slowly looked up from the handkerchief to him. She nodded slowly, even though she didn't trust him. She figured that even though he says that he gives no harm, she still feels like he is only saying that to use her. She does what he says, in order to keep herself alive in her mind.

Devian gently set the handkerchief into her hand and backed away, giving her some space. It was late and it wasn't safe in the woods after dark....especially after dark.
"Look," he began, "it isn't safe to stay out here at night. Do you have a place to go?" he asked.

The girl shook her head, holding the handkeychief to her bossom. She looked at him, a bit concerned. Many thoughts ran through her mind, but only one slipped through her lips,"W-who are y-you?" her voice cracked inbetween words.

"My name is Devian," Devian answered. "Devian Shadoweyes. May I ask your name?" he asked gently.

She stared at him for a long while, struggling to speak. She then managed to say it, "Chazia." She said, shaking, afraid he might think she was a criminal. For there were wanted posters of her in many other towns. She, only in the woods to escape it all.

Devian smiled. "Look, I know you don't trust me, but it isn't safe to be alone here at night. My home isn't far from here. If you would like, you could stay there until you are ready to leave," he offered, unsure of how she would react.

His smiled reassured her to not be afraid. She nodded in agreement. "O-okay..." She said with a shaky voice. She slowly stood up, gripping onto the tree behind her for balance. When she fully stood up, she looked at Devian, "If this forest is so unsafe... why are you here?" She asked him.

Devian smiled wryly. "I live here, I know the dangers," he answered. He sighed. "I was just on my way home. Normally even I'm not out at night."

"Well, why are you out now, then? Isn't it night time?" She asked him. She then started to wrap the handkerchief that Devian gave to her around her wrist. She bleed from there, and wanted to make it stop bleeding. She pulled the knot tight, so it wouldn't come loose. She badly wanted to be in a safe place by now.

A young black haired young woman with dark green eyes entered the forest cautiously. She wore a long dark cloak, walking off the path in order to avoid being mugged. She slipped through the trees, touching all the trees she could reach, her green eyes flashing from what little light shone through the forest.

"I just got back late from town. Look, let's go to my place. It's safe, and you can go when you feel comfortable leaving. We can discuss why we are both out late there, ok?" Devian said desperately. There was a new dangerous presense there, and he didn't feel like sticking around to see what it was.

Chazia nodded, then started to follow him through the forest to his place. She too could feel a pressence, but she wasn't sure exactly what it was. She feels them so many times it's hard to tell which is which. She then started to hesitate, thinking it could be a demon or a shadow creature to haunt her. She held onto Devian as tightly as she could no just because she was scared, but to keep her balance too.

The girl felt others close by. She climbed a tree so that she wouldn't be seen. She carefully looked around, carefully climbing from tree to tree. She looked and saw two people below, but she didn't dare stop.

Devian put his arm around Chazia. "Don't worry, I can handle anything here," he whispered to her. Slowly they approached and outcropping of boulders at the foot of a hill. He reached out and touched one boulder. It shuddered and moved aside, revealing an entrance. "Come on," he said, leading Chazia into his home.

The woman saw the two dissapear. She gave a sigh of relief. She jumped from the tree, landing carefully on the ground below. Her hood fell from her head, revealing her hair in a tight and neat braid. Her green eyes dashed madly around, looking for anyone near. Seeing no one, she brushed her bangs past and behind her elven ears, then carefully covered her head with the hood, glancing around. She continued on, walking still off the roads.
