.xx¤ Personality: Calm and collected with a lack of interest in social interaction. That is how the majority would describe Erwin's personality in a sentence. He selectively chooses who he considers to be in his circle and those who are not, he tends to be cold and distant towards the individual or just avoid them. At first impression of him has been described as quiet, calm, lacking emotion and brutally honest. He does not sugarcoat.
But those who know him well describe him to be the type to overthink yet meticulously, like a chess player always thinking ahead. He is one of the few rational ones in the group, he never allowed his emotion to get in the way when it came to making decisions, he is the logical type. But he wasn't afraid to express his thoughts if anyone asks for his opinion. He says it like it is.
He is the type of person who would rather bottle up his negative emotions instead of venting it out the healthy way. It took a while for him to start opening up to his therapist. He has the constant feeling that bringing up his issues will make him a burden so he just keeps bottling everything up until he just explodes, mental break down locks himself in his room for a day before he returns to his 'normal' self as if none of the previous events happened. The time varies between each meltdowns depending on the external events happening.

.xx¤ Biography: Quick family history:
Let's start from the beginning. In the small village of Bamberg, Germany; Erwin's far back relatives were highly looked upon. Working as doctors, inventors and even philosophers. But, a dark secret has been passing through generation by generation. A genetic disorder of Schizophrenia. No one knew the term, mostly because the illness never had a name until 1910. But nonetheless, they were known to be highly intelligent yet being 'crazy'. And that's how the last name 'Verrückter' came to be. It means crazy, mad, insane, etc.
Fast-forwarding to Erwin's family branch. He belonged to a rich one and was also well known in Europe for its long history. It's been told that ones in the Verrückter bloodline are to succeed. Erwin's mother, Klara; has been picked to marry his father; Erich who happens to be one of the top paid surgeons in Germany and is well known in Europe. His older brother, Ernst (six years older) is one of the most successful lawyers. And last but not least, his older sister, Erika (four years older) is one of the top paid models in Europe. Step aside from America's Next Top Model. But Erwin hasn't found it yet, although he has grown an interest in the sciences department. He's been struggling to do anything to be remembered.
Moving on. Erwin's childhood has been in the operating room, watching his father perform. This was the root of Erwin's interest in human anatomy, his curiosity has gotten him to get a part job at the morgue assisting the mortician. One of the Verrückter family traditions is that all the men have a tattoo, or was it just their family. Either way, Erika managed to watch her brothers suffer on the sideline with their mother with a smile on her face. Erich went with a mountain hare, Ernst chose the grey wolf and Erwin decided to pick a diamondback snake.
His parents sent him to Videl Academy, England because they were aware of Erwin's non existing social life. Thinking of a new school in a different country will help that. And that was where he met them, a boy who bears navy blue locks and golden orbs with the name Thanatos. He was accompanied by a boy with almost the exact same feature as Erwin, they were almost identical, taking out a few details with the name Lucius. Thanatos was the brute honest type yet Lucius was the playful type and Erwin was the quiet type. Three different personalities yet they somehow become close friends. Lucius and Erwin would usually be mistaken for each other or even siblings. Being the youngest out of the three by a year, he graduated after them.
Erwin still had no plan for the ultimate success in his family but he continued to pursue studies in medicine before changing switching forensic science, criminal justice before going to the police academy and becoming an officer.
In recent years, Erwin's mother sent him a letter in the news of his father's condition. Not really good news, his state is deteriorating and the episodes occur more frequently. But this is the year of modern technology and medicine. The past generations didn't have what is offered to them today besides proper health care and mental health awareness. So his father is being medicated with a personal health care provider in their home which is the brighter side of the news.
Erwin and his siblings are fully aware of the history of schizophrenia in their family but there is a possibility of none of them will develop it, as of some branching family members like aunts and uncles that never developed it. But they still agreed to go on the annual psychiatric examination together since they were young. Each year, they travel back to Berlin which is where their parents live for a week or two. Time spent catching up, giving updates on their current lives and of course the tests. Each year passing and all three's results came in negative. But this year was different, the results from the blood test and the head scans and other tests came in and this is where the psychiatrist sat down with each of the siblings and talk. Normally they discuss about the events from the year. But Erwin seemed to be acting differently and the psychiatrist could tell, I mean she has been working for the family since they were kids. She watched them grow into the adults they are now. This year, Erwin's result came in positive.
The last twenty-three minutes of the meeting Erwin had with her was filled with silence as he stared at the paperwork with the results. His body was shaking like a leaf. The one thing Erwin feared the most besides failure was this. This is not something you can cure like a common cold. This requires long-term treatment, medication, therapy and lifestyle changes. All of that just keeps the episodes from happening and trying to stay symptom-free.
While on duty, a hidden explosive device went off seriously injuring Erwin and his team. Most of the injuries were internal bleeding, broken bones, ruptured eardrums, external bleeding and the list went on. They were all rushed to the emergency room, some were even treated during the ride there because of the severity of the injuries. Erwin sustained an injury to the parietal bone and life-threatening lacerations along his left side that his arm was unrecognizable. Stitches, pins or any other method they could think of. None would be able to save his arm. Erwin woke up the morning sore all over and unbalanced. To this day Erwin still attends physical therapy.
