Fuzzy-timed to month 2 of Esurienth X Phylideth's clutch.

Astariarth was just two months old, but had already almost tripled in size. It was fortunate enough that the weyrlings' study room was large and accommodating, for the young man wasn't certain how much longer she would fit. It was one of those rare restdays, but sudden bad weather had forced him to take his endless, scrawled notes inside. Hold names and details of their location were listed, and he pursed his lip as he read through his notes, closing green eyes intermittently to commit them to memory.

Astariarth stifled a slight sigh, determined not to trouble her rider with her own longings and desires. She watched rain lash the windows and walls with a gaze that sought to dismantle the very fabric of the universe. Surely Ce'rys would grow tired or bored of so much study? Maybe they could go and splash in some puddles soon?

It was then that another caught her attention, and her eyes whirled a delighted blue-green. Riamsoth! How very glad I am to see you! At 'Star's delighted exclamation, Ce'rys looked up, blinking as though emerging from a trance. "Hullo, Sorentia. Riamsoth." He inclined his head towards them. "Study plans?"

It is dull... Astariarth secretly confided in her golden sister, shielding her thoughts from her rider. The Holds aren't nearly as exciting as our Weyr.

How much longer will I be able to fit inside around here? Riamsoth asked curiously as the pair ducked into the study area. “Not for long I bet.” Soon, there would be a lot of time she spent inside that Riamsoth wouldn’t be at her side. It was strange to think of. I will always be with you. Sorentia patted the gold and smiled. At her name being called, Riamsoth looked over and sent some love to her clutch mate. It is wonderful to see you too!

Sorentia picked up on Riamsoth’s attention shift and looked around just in time to spot Ce’rys as he spoke. “Hello.” She said a little shyly. Sorentia was still getting used to her fellow Weyrlings. “Yes. We wanted to practice a little more before lessons tomorrow.” She paused slightly. “Would you mind if we joined you?”

I am sure that they will be more interesting once we can actually go there. Riamsoth had no doubts that the sights and smells would be more engaging than the words and diagrams. Our Weyr is exciting because we know it. It must seem boring to others, just as their places seem boring to us.
