Komori had been accepted into the Isoba and after she had shown significant promise had been graced with a rank above the default given to hybrids. Yet, since she had acquired the title of Howahkan, she had been waiting for the Ammon to give her some sort of magnificent task and none had come.

Unsurprisingly, this meant that usually she joined the Itzel on their hunts or the Dagrun in protecting the borders, but this was hardly a fun or enlightening task, so she often went out on her own. She spent her time being more silent than silence and tracking the scents she didn't know through the mountain trails. On the days that her paws longed for flat lands and running, she would travel into the rogue lands, but was careful not to be spotted by anyone who she didn't want around.

Today was such a day, where her dark pelt was the bane of her existence and she had traveled out to the rogue lands in search of a river or watering hole that she could jump into. She wasn't much a fan of the sun, much preferring the night sky to cloak her, but she had wanted to explore outside of the valley and so here she was. Oh how she regretted it.

Maybe something fun would come her way, she thought. Or maybe she would die of heat stroke first. Either way, something was sure to happen eventually, she thought as she searched on for a reliable water source.

Realta had been wandering around exploring for who knows how long. She wasn't really sure where she was going, but she didn't really mind. She just wanted to adventure really. While walking through the Rougelands one day she came across a watering hole. Realta was exhausted because she had been walking all day so far and so she decided this would be a nice little place to rest for a little. She made her way down to the water and observed the water to make sure it was clean and nothing bad would happen. It was safe and so she drank a little to hydrate and get some lost energy back. After fully quenching her thirst she jumped into the cold water to cool off and relax her muscles from her long journey, though she was unsure on how much more there was to her journey. That being said, that didn't matter to her at this point, she was content in where she was, and just relaxing. She got a little too relaxed and didn't notice the scent of another cheetah heading towards her. Now on guard, Realta got out of the water and hid near the watering hole and waiting for the unknown cheetah to make their appearance.

Komori after some walking and a lot of heavy breathing had finally stumbled upon a watering hole. Thank the gods, she thought as she used her final boost of energy to dash towards the water. She saw a flash of white disappear in her line of sight, but she was so focused on the water in front of her that she hardly took much notice.

Plunging her muzzle into the water, she took hasty gulps until her insides were all cooled off and her thirst replenished. Heaving a sigh, the leopon lay on the shore with her front paws in the water. Now that she was content, she inhaled deeply and scented those around her. Whomever that white had belonged to was clever enough to be upwind of her, so she couldn't scent them, but Komori had a feeling they were still nearby.

"You're doing very well to be sneaky, you know," She said in conversational tones. "But you needn't hide from me. I'm just thirsty. As I'm sure you can imagine, hot weather like this does nothing for someone with my dark coat." Her eyes scanned the area nearby. "Suppose you come out and we become acquainted with one another?" She proposed to the grass.

Taken aback that she was spotted, Realta slowly comes out of her hiding spot and out into the open. She was surprised to find that it wasn't a cheetah at all, but instead a Leopon, a hybrid breed. Making her way down to the water, she stayed across from this unknown Leopon and kept her eyes on her and stayed on full guard.

Taking a sip from the water herself, Realta leaned towards the water, but never took her eyes off the unknown presence. After drinking her fill, Realta leaned back, and sat down.

"Who are you? Where are you from? And how did you notice me?" Realta still couldn't believe that she was spotted, she just couldn't believe that. She was fairly proud of her ability to sneak, and was quite irked that she wasn't as good as she had thought. "Being blunt, I am not too sure just how much I want to become acquainted with you, but seeing the situation, it probably would be best if I didn't ignore your passiveness towards me. So, what would you like to know? Though I am not too sure just how much I can answer?"

Komori saw the feline clearly now that she had risen from her hiding place and smiled, shifting so her body language spoke of open friendliness. The other chattered on at her, though clearly she was in a defensive mood. Komori supposed she shouldn't be surprised, when the poor dear had run the moment Komori had shown up. The poor skittish sweetheart, Komori wanted to coo, but remained silent until she had received all the questions the youngster had to ask.

"My name is Komori and I'm from around... well, everywhere. I come and go, but I've been frequenting the rogue lands a lot lately." It wasn't a lie, she was just keeping some truths hidden as was the way of her pride. "And as to your other question, you'll find I'm very observant." Her eyes twinkled. "With a pelt as light as yours, it was hard not to spot your sudden movement. Try moving slower next time and blend into your surroundings a touch more. Still, you're quiet and you're well off enough to have seen me coming." She smiled indulgently. "You're not too bad at hiding either, are you?" She offered.

The blunt nature of the cheetah caused her to blink, but Komori thought little of it and shrugged.
"That's your choice, naturally. If you don't wish to become acquainted with me, we can just as easily lay here in silence until one of us goes away. However, I find conversation much more appealing." Her smile ever present, her gaze flitted down to the water and she lapped at it delicately. "I've never been one for hot weather, I much prefer cooler temperatures." She said casually. "Do you have a name, spotted miss?" She asked then, raising her silver eyes to focus on the blue ones across from her.

"My name's...Realta. I guess you could say I'm on a journey. Though I am not too sure where I am going, nor do I know where I will end up, but for the time being I am just enjoying the travel." Realta noticed the way...Komori worded her responces, she wasn't being hostile at all. Realta took this to heart and started to relax. "You are quite observant, I am kinda impressed to be honest. And I guess I should say thank you... for those tips.. I'll keep them in mind." Realta said, while reaching in for more water.

Realta sat there for a moment to think of what to say, she wasn't too sure what she wanted to know about Komori, nor did she know Komori's intention with being kind to her. However, Realta wasn't about to turn hostile, she knows she is outmatched by Komori, and so there was no point in fighting a hopeless battle.

"Where are you from? Like..anywhere specific? I don't see a reason for you to disclose this information to me, I am just trying to figure out what to ask" Realta let out a small chuckle, she was a bit nervous for she hasn't really ran into another friendly creature for a while, and so she isn't quite sure what to do. "And, same, I am not one for hot weather either, I prefer the cold, or at the very least, mild temperature. If it's too hot it gets a bit difficult to move well, being all sweaty and stuff that is. You know what I mean?"

Realta was in the mind set now for being friends with Komori, though she would like to know a bit more about her to be able to comfortably call her a friend, but she felt like if the passiveness from both sides kept up, then that shouldn't be too hard to manage.

"Realta is a lovely name." Komori remarked with a smile. "Befitting a pretty cheetah like yourself." She told the other, eyeing the stars upon the face of her companion and her remarkable spots. Komori was aware that the markings upon her own body were rather bold, but she wasn't fishing for compliments by remarking on her companion's features. She genuinely thought the other a pretty thing. Many a male ought to be after her, she thought with a smile.

It sounded as though Realta was on her own, which made Komori think of how she used to be, after she had parted ways from her family. She gave a little sigh at the thought of her mother and brother and shook herself slightly. When she was asked where she was from, she gave a have shrug.

"I was born in the rogue lands. My mother and siblings went to the Bahari'mtoto, but I haven't sought them out, nor have I wanted to. I've found a home of my own since then." She replied and inclined her head to get a better look at Realta. "What about yourself? Do you have a home or family to return to?" She inquired.

If she was alone and without a home, maybe... maybe she would be interested in coming home with Komori. After all, the leopon reasoned, what would be a better way to show her worth to her Ammon than to recruit for the pride? Still, she needed to make sure she wasn't going about this in a manner too hasty. So, she waited for Realta's reply, her expression calm and friendly as she perked her ears for the cheetah's next words.

Realta was a little surprised to be complimented in such a manor. Though she wasn't opposed to it, it just caught her off guard. "You're quite the looker yourself, the same can probably be said about you, about males wanting you that is. Thank you though, for the compliment, I haven't been told that ever honestly. Well, outside of my family that is. And to answer your other question. Yes, I have a family, but not so much a home to go back to. That's kinda why I am on this journey, I don't really have a set destination, or how long I want to be out on this journey. I have just been wandering around alone for a while in search of a new place to call my home. About your family...did something happen that separated all of you? Or are you still on good terms with them? I'm sorry for prying, I know it's none of my business, it's just kind of a sad thought, though I'm definitely not one to talk given my current situation." Realta looked down at her front paws and kind of shrugged. "You don't have to answer if you don't want to, I know it's not my place to be asking such questions. You just seemed friendly enough, and I would like to get to know you better I think." Realta said honestly.

She hasn't had anyone be this kind to her in a very long while, and it meant a lot to her that Komori was being so friendly with her. Realta had hoped that Komori and her could become great friends in the future.

"I know this is a bit weird of me to ask, but...if it isn't too much trouble, do you mind showing me where you live? Maybe if there is a place for me I might be able to start calling that place my home as well, though I am not too sure how it will go, but I am willing to give it a try at least." Realta was very embarrassed. She had just asked a very weird question to a Leopon she had just met. Realta was worried that she had somehow ruined the friendship they had going for them.

Sitting in silence, Realta anxiously waited for Komori's response to her question.. and had hoped that even if things go wrong, that she didn't ruin this chance on making a friend.

Komori blinked in surprise and then laughed with delight at the others comment about her attracting males.
"That's sweet of you to say, dear, but I don't think it's likely. I'm, well, I'm not meant to have cubs of my own. It's the fate of hybrids like myself, I suppose." She twitched her head. "Mine is worse, because I may have these striking markings, but I shall never be able to pass them onto any youngsters. Alas," She raised a paw over her muzzle and sighed dramatically, before laughing it off and lowering her paw into the watering hole again.

"At any rate, thank you for your sweet words." She said, before listening with rapt attention to the other speak. When Realta asked about her own family, Komori smiled. "No need to fuss, dearie. My family and I left on good terms. They wished to join an all-lion pride, but I knew I would feel too out of place there, so I left. No reason for sadness or tears, it just wasn't for me. I was able to find something more my style later on." She remarked.

The question the cheetah asked was unusual, but Komori had been getting ready to ask Realta if she would like to make the journey anyway. It would have been impossible for Komori to leave the female on her own anyway. This just made things simpler.

"I haven't any disagreement with that, Realta-dear." She announced and got to her paws, sand sticking to her damp fur. "Come to my side and I will tell you of my home. Yet, I must say this, for my fellow pride members are a mysterious bunch who like to keep to the shadows. We are wary of newcomers. I like you a great deal, but should you come to see the pride and decide you do not like it, you must promise me you can keep our location and existence a secret from any others you meet on your journey ahead." She eyed the cheetah as they walked. "Do you promise?"

"Oh...I'm sorry to hear that.. I didn't know.." Realta felt bad telling Komori her comment now. She had hoped that Komori wasn't too mad at her. "I'm glad to hear about your family though...I get what you mean though..About not really feeling like you belong there, or that you don't fit in."Realta trailed off, not really sure of what she was trying to say.

Realta was a bit unsure of what she just got herself into, but seeing how friendly the Leopon had been to her, she didn't have any reason really not to trust her.

Realta nodded in response to Komori's question of promise, got up on her paws, then walked around the watering hole up next to Komori's side. "I promise."

After that Realta and Komori walked along back to where Komori lived. Realta listened intensively as Komori told her about where she lives and what her pride is like. Realta was happy to of made a friend, and to of gained a place she can call a home. With all these emotions rushing throughout her, she starts to cry a little, but wipes them away quickly hoping Komori didn't notice. Realta then wore a smile on her face as she walked side by side of a newly found friend, and quite possibly, a fellow pride member.
