History:

Xhiand had been like any other human, living in peace, running his own business, and even having a family consisting of a wife and two kids. Back then, his human name was Roan Ygavo. This standard, peaceful life was all Roan had ever known and focused on. He of course followed the news and kept up on the recent skirmishes on the human border of which his hometown was located. Travelers, hunters, warriors, they would commonly pass through the town center where Roan's merchandise shop was. Life at this time had passed slowly and positively for him and his family and friends, that is until stories of a nearby monster started being told by recent travelers and a few residents who lived near the area in question.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One night, a few weeks after the rumors began of the monster, Roan had finished closing up shop and was off to the towns tavern located a few blocks down the way. This was a common routine, especially since the nights had become colder now. A few occupants mulled around and lounged in the tavern, a few seemed to be travelers. One such traveler spouted stories of a terrifying creature that had been gruesomely attacking wanderers or locals that had walked into the forest nearby an older, discontinued graveyard. The babbling man had turned the homey feel of the tavern into a stale and ominous environment. Roan left soon after that, skeptical of the old traveler's cackling of the rumors. By this time, snow had started falling as he began to walk to his own homestead.
For some reason the ominous feeling could not be shook, and now, after a few moments of briskly walking away from the tavern, Roan heard a woman's scream from a fair distance. The sound seemed to be almost muted by the cold and the falling snow, though it's direction faintly lead towards the nearby forest. Hearing the sound, Roan reacted and began walking in that direction. An animal attack possibly? During these cold months, it wasn't unheard of for a predatory animal to search for food near the town. Another scream could be heard. Roan picked up his pace, the ominous feeling becoming a full fear for the person whom seemed to be in trouble.
A horrific sight was what Roan arrived to at the worst possible place he could think of. After running for some time, he found himself at the now unused graveyard that contained some of the oldest remains and headstones near the town. What stood out from that though was the corpse of a young woman that had been torn apart and tossed around the headstones. A leg here, an arm near the entrance of the graveyard. Her main body remained slumped near the center. Roan walked towards the body, hoping there was some sign of life. Unnatural movement from it signified something was still causing the body to move as the still attached arm jerked until it pointed in Roan's direction, the deeply lifeless face managed to express horror. Just then, everything went black, and only a crushing feeling could be felt, as if he had been caught between two boulders that were being pushed together. After what seemed to be hours of this, a piercing pain could be felt near his chest, and slowly, the crushing feeling released. Just as slowly, his vision returned to him. Roan could see a figure in the distance near the woman's corpse. A light orb-like thing was hovering above it as the figure seemed to be guiding it's path. He found himself unable to move and could only lay there and watch whatever was going on.
After that process, the figure walked towards Roan, his reaction was surprise and almost shock, though it was a concerning expression. The figure's features portrayed that of a man in his later twenties whom donned clothing of a holy warrior, which was a human whom used tactics to destroy threatening demons and monsters though their weaponry would not harm humans. It turned out this holy warrior had no idea the monster he had slain was consuming a second human, and had used a weapon that would have struck it's life force, though it seemed to of passed through Roan's intact (and still living) heart before it passed through the monster's life force. The monster had dispelled most of Roan's body that was not fully consumed nearby and the rest of Roan was fused with the monster's life force. The result? Roan's heart and soul remained alive though it was now in a new body that had features of his human self and the monster. Due to the mass of dispelled and destroyed monster's life force, Roan's new body had developed to that of a younger version of himself, though he looked nothing like a human.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Because of this incident, Roan was not allowed to return to the human town where his family was, and was instead taken to the holy warrior's base. He remained there for 10 years under observation and had come to be known as that particular 'holy' base's greatest mistake. He was of course not referred to as 'human' because his human body had been killed off by the monster and was renamed "Xhiand" by the knight whom had put him in that state by no intentional means. Xhiand spent his days at the base, and has picked up the trade of tailoring that would be somewhat useful. Though it may not be his choice of career, he is at service to the warriors who reside at the base.

After ten years of confinement in the knight's monster division headquarters, Xhiand was finally admitted to leave under the terms that he remain with the familiar knight whom had taken responsibility for the chimera's existence. The knight, also known as Emmett Haldwin, gave Xhiand a purpose as his personal tailor. Though Xhiand sees this title as diminutive, he also sees it as a title other than the "mistake" He'd become known as by regulars at the division headquarters. An event of a lifetime has come upon the lands, one that Emmett has took it upon himself to at least witness, and if it comes to a battle, Xhiand's tailoring skills will more than definitely be needed, but perhaps his purpose could change because of this trip.....
