Fernando could easily be described as a smooth talker, always ready to compliment a lady or the occasional dude if he thought it would get him anything - and it often does. Quick to lie on any occasion, it's as though the man is compelled to lie rather than tell the truth in it's entirety. And that may even be true. Fernando, however, will probably never be honest about why he lies.
Fiercely loyal to the few he calls friends, Fernando would do anything for them - but he probably would still lie to them before he told them the complete truth.
History: Growing up, Fernando was a naturally gifted liar. It simply came easy to him, and it helped, because the boy loved little more than to tell stories. And, honestly, stories were always a little more interesting with a healthy lie thrown into the mix.
And so Fernando told stories most of his life, making a living by swindling the unsuspecting, until the day came when he decided to write a book. Don't get him wrong - lying was fine and dandy and, dare he say it, fun, but even the best liars need to use the truth in heavy amounts for the lies to really shine. So he joined the military, looking for something interesting to write about and make his mark on history.
