Physical Appearance ▷ Standing at a solid 5' 11" with an athletic build, Akira holds a head full of dark brown hair and deep hazel eyes. Light brown surrounded by emerald green. He bears twin scars under his left eye, both small, but noticeable upon inspection. His features are sharp and solid, giving no sign of immediate weakness. He tends to wear clothes of finer materials, at first one might make the mistake of believing these are purchased materials, but inspection shows that these are hard won items. Fine furs and bone woven into fabric, won from years on the hunt.

Personality ▷ Arrogant yet dutiful to a fault. Often times he finds himself conflicted between what is ordered and what is right or just. Having come from a family of little money he is somewhat wary of the nobles of Seireitei, to such an extent that he rarely travels inside the city walls should he be able to avoid it. Though somewhere deep inside he seems to cling to a piece of his past, something more than the poor conditions in which he lived, something which when spoken of feels more human to those who hear it, though he has rarely bothered to speculate on this fact. Deeper that seen on the skin he fights for redemption, for what reason is yet unknown.
Biography ▷ When Akira first came to the Rukongai he was taken in by the Saito family, though not financially secure the family had done it's best to make it through the day to day routine. Madamare carried over skills from his days as a hunter in the human world, and used these to bring food home to his family. As time wore on, however, the financial strain of taking on a second child drove the family into poverty, and unable to continue their living in the seventh district of Rukongai the family moved out into the wilderness, carving their lives out by hand. At this time Akira learned the skills of his father's trade and began to apply them, as well as his mother's balance in dancing, behind his Bokken in training. His father highly praised him for his adaptability, and soon would begin to take Akira into the woods to hunt with him.
Several years of this hunting and training exercise, as coupled with Akira and Ayame's ventures into Rukongai to trade in their capture, as well as any materials made thereof, granted the family a new reputation, which soon allowed them to make passage back into Rukongai, as well as capturing the attention of scouts from Seireitei, who would later bring the man before the Gotei, to see if his skill was worth polish and training. Much to his approval he would be accepted into the Academy and from there began his march into the Thirteen Protection Squads.
His schooling was rough, as he and other students always had differing beliefs when it came to what was meant to be behind a sword. Akira vouched that grace and strength had to coexist for a proper swordsman, while other students believed their to be nothing more than power behind the blade, to this Akira's rebuttal was "Power is nothing without skill, and wherein lies skill, also lies grace."

Spirit Appearance ▷ A young fair skinned man wielding a rapier. He wears two jackets, one fastened around him as though a haori though left attached by a chain at the neck he does not wear it on his arms. The black jacket beneath is more modern and bears a flowered theme upon the opposing lapels. His hair is long and back, though worn back in a braid and upon initial appearance his eyes are always closed.
Spirit Personality ▷ Quiet, reserved, and loathe to speak when unnecessary. Boyakaze will wait for the proper time to impart wisdom, or for others to come seeking his council. Very rarely is he the one to initiate conversation.
Additional Traits ▷ There is always a breeze in his presence.
Inner World ▷ A series of courtyards in an ever expanding imperial castle. Every courtyard bears a combination of sakura trees, a pond with koi within it, and a gazebo that is open from all sides.

Zanpakuto Sealed Appearance ▷ Boyakaze appears as a katana with the basket hilt of a Schiavonna, cast in blackened steel, also, unlike many zanpakuto of his age, Boyakaze has a notable bo-hi (fuller), which gives an audible feedback when swung, allowing Akira to know whether or not the angle of his blade was correct for the angle of his swing, furthering his noted grace behind his sword.
