It was a quick ride to Pallet's PokeCenter. After filling out the proper paperwork, and donating a bit of money to the cause, Ameji had Vulpix in his arms. Ameji stared at the Vulpix's one tail that had begun to split, and frowned as he began to over a proper nutritional diet for the baby pokemon.
Ameji felt a wave of protectiveness go through him as the fox looked up at him with her big brown eyes, mewling softly.
"Hey Baby Girl, don't you worry. I'll take good care of you, ok?" Ameji said, scratching behind the pokemon's ear.
Vulpix snuggled into his arms, and Ameji found himself content to hold her.
"Alright, on to PokeCakes." Ameji stated, as he seated himself upon his bike.
He placed Vulpix in his leather jacket and zipped it up a bit, cocooning the pokemon inside. She didn't seem to mind, instead she snuggled into the warmth and a happy cry.
Ameji almost felt bad not really talking to Hibachi and D, but he was focused right now, and focused Ameji got the things he needed done, on time.
Soon, they arrived to his Mother's bakery, and walked inside. A couple customers greeted him, and he replied in turn. A small child wanted to look at his Vulpix, so Ameji crouched down and let the toddler peek in to his jacket, smiling as the baby fox poked its nose out to sniff at the kid's outstretched hand.
"Alright, I'm not sure how long this'll take. Feel free to sit down and relax, have a drink and a treat on the house if you'd like." Ameji said to his two friends.
Not hearing the normal bustle in the kitchen, Ameji gathered that Itamae was in her office, and nodding at the part timer working the counter, Ameji went in the back to talk to his Mom.
The talk went surprisingly well. Itamae was sad that her son was leaving, but was also happy that he would be able to go on his grand adventure, like he'd always wanted to. She clutched Ameji to her in a tight hug, trying to hide her sniffles and then pat him on the back and wished him good luck.
Man, it was easy to quit your job when your Mom was boss!
