"Yeah, come on, the Ferris wheel is just this-"'MEJIIII!" Sabi yelled as he threw himself upon Ameji in an intense embrace.
Ameji staggered back, finding it hard to breath as Sabi's bear hug squeezed the life out of him. Stumbling to hold the two of them up, Sabi finally pulled back, keeping his arms wrapped around Ameji's neck. Ameji, noticing his friend was swaying a bit, kept his hands on the other's waist.
"'Meji! Kuh- um. 'Kari sssaid that you were here. So I said we should go looking for me! No. For you. Yooou." Sabi lightly smacked Ameji's cheek, leaning forward into his personal space.
"Akari is here?" Ameji asked, trying not to laugh at Sabi's antics.
Sabi wasn't drunk, if he were, he'd probably be naked. No, this was buzzed Sabi. He was a loud guy when hyped up, but when he was buzzed he was loud and clingy.
"Y-" Sabi hiccuped, "yeah. I lossst her in the crowd though. Said I'd find you first."
"Well you found me. Ok, Sabi? Sabi, pay attention." Ameji grabbed Sabi's chin, forcing the other to look at him. Idly he realized just how indecent the two probably looked to others. Ameji's arms on his waist, his arms around his neck; only a few small inches between their faces. "Sabi, go find Akari, and take her to the Ferris wheel."
"Kay."
"You got that?"
"Yeah. Git 'Kari and go to the F'rris Wheel." Sabi smiled and stumbled away from Ameji, jogging/dodging the crowd while calling out Akari's name.
Ameji sighed, shaking his head. Turning to Aki and D, he chuckled, "Sorry about that. That was my best friend. Um, let's just go to the Ferris wheel."

Ameji smiled as Hibachi approached, noticing a girl following along with. Their little get-together sure was expanding! Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Aki's reaction, and quickly looked over at who had caught the other's attention. Silently he hoped this adventure wouldn't turn sour, but before he could dwell on it, Sabi came bolting out from the crowd, tugging Akari along with him.
"'Meji! I found 'Kari! Juss like you said to!" Sabi said, throwing an arm over Ameji's shoulder.
Akari stumbled when Sabi finally let go and gave a relieved sigh. "He's been pulling me along with him for forever now!"
Sabi let go of Ameji to hold his sides as he giggled, about what, only Sabi knew. Ameji rolled his eyes at Sabi and then smiled fondly at his girlfriend, holding an arm out, he invited her to his side. She accepted, hugging him loosely.
"I figured you'd stay home for the night. Didn't know you had plans to come to the festival." "Yeah well. I kinda promised these guys I'd show them around. Besides, it doesn't hurt too bad."
Ameji called out to the others, and introductions were soon under way.

Aki shook it off. He didn't want drama anymore than his new pals. He waved awkwardly, not quite as good at shaking things off as he thought he'd be. "Hi, Ami. Hibachi. Cole." he waves politely to Akari and Sabi, happy to finally meet the girl that Ameji had spoken so often of.
Ami stayed quiet, waving to the gathering and introducing herself when appropriate, but didn't speak at all besides that.
Dietrich had forgotten that Ameji had gotten hurt and felt a twinge of guilt, knowing the poor guy was only out there because of Aki and him. He ignored it, unusually good at doing so, and greeted the new pair of people. He froze when he heard Hibachi. "Don't call me 'D'" he said flatly; though his mood brightened visibly when he finally did see Cole. Dietrich broke through the crowd and tackled the taller boy in a hug.
Cole laughs and holds his friend close then nags him, "How could you just stop talking? I was worried about you!!"
"Obviously not that worried. You're at a festival!" Dietrich smirks, having not let go of Cole's waist just yet.
Aki leans in and whispers to Hibachi, "See? Boyfriend."

Ameji audibly sighed, relieved that things were going well. Akari eyed him questioningly but he shook it off, not wanting to go into detail about his fading worries. Smiling at the others, he joined in small conversation, every now and then helping push or pull Sabi back so that he wasn't in danger of falling over. Akari stood nearby, throwing her own two cents into the conversation on occasion. She hid a dainty yawn, and nestled into Ameji's side some more. Ameji began to take into account who all was in their group.
There was Akari and Sabi, of course.
Hibachi, Dietrich, and Aki, the original trio.
And now, a Cole and Ami, friends of D and Aki, I guess?
Akari tapped Ameji's chest and pointed to Sabi who was now sleeping, standing up. Ameji eyed the redhead somewhat alarmed and greatly confused, wondering how Sabi made these things possible.
"I better see that he gets home. Don't stay out too late, and be careful of your hand, ok?" Akari said, kissing Ameji's cheek lightly. "Alright, I'll message you later. You sure you got him?" He replied.
She nodded and released her trusty Mankey from his pokeball. Quickly apologizing and explaining the situation, Akari said her goodbyes to everybody. Together the two picked up Sabi and walked off with him, disappearing into the crowd.
Turning to the remaining group, Ameji silently recounted. Including himself there were now a total of six. The Ferris wheel didn't have benches, it instead had small compartments. Everybody could easily fit into one if they wanted.
"Hey guys. You wanna ride the Ferris wheel now?" He asked smiling, pointing a thumb at where it stood behind him.

"Ah... no. I don't think... I mean, I... I'll stay down here and wait for you, if you want. I just... it doesn't look like there's enough room." Cole stuttered and shifted when the Ferris wheel is offered. Dietrich still had not released Cole's waist.
"Don't be a chicken! C'mon! You gotta get over it sometime!" Aki smiled at Cole, not knowing exactly what had happened to him, as D hadn't gone into details. "What better time than now, when you're surrounded by friends?"
Cole shook his head and Aki, D and Ami let it drop. Finally, they got on the ride, Hibachi, and Dietrich between Aki and Ami, and Cole waiting below.

D reclined on the bench and closed his eyes, just enjoying the ride and letting the lights dance across their faces. He seemed content in that moment and the irritation he usually radiated was gone.
Akihiro was pleasantly distracted by the lights and, of course, the return of the pun-loving Haunter. He tickled him under his chin and smiled softly.
Ami smiled nervously and released the only Pokemon she had brought with her and let it sit in her lap. The Oddish was content to sit in her lap, though she refused to stay still, swaying slightly, looking at Ameji. She answered, speaking softly. "Oh... W-we go to school together; back in Saffron. Well... Aki is... he's my ex-boyfriend. Cole is my neighbor.... he's like a brother to me, really." After a moment, the restless little Oddish crawled into Ameji's lap and sat there, swaying to music only she could hear.

Ameji smiled and eyed the Haunter as it floated about. He was always fascinated with ghost type pokemon. He found them somewhat creepy, as ghosts are usually associated with the dead. But at the same time, he couldn't help but wonder. Could ghost pokemon be the souls of people, wandering about? Deciding to save that for another night to ponder, Ameji then turned his attention to Ami, watching as she released an Oddish from its pokeball.
Ameji's eyes darted from Ami to Aki and back again as soon as she replied to his question. He felt kind of sorry for asking and bringing their relationship into the open like that. He didn't dwell on it for much longer. It happened, and he hadn't meant harm. I'll apologize to Aki later. He thought, as he watched the Oddish trot over and plop itself onto his lap.
Ameji chuckled and gently took ahold of one of Oddish's leaves in each hand, caressing and massaging. He kept his touch light, so as not to squeeze or pull too hard.
"I've been to Saffron a few times. I used to train and practice martial arts at the Dojo there, with Kinniku." Remembering Ami hadn't met Kinni, he corrected himself. "Oh, he's the family's Machamp. At the time though he was still a 'Choke."
He paused in his ministrations, and had a far off look in his eye as he remembered. "You know, I remember getting such a weird vibe from the Gym there. The leader is a Psychic user right?"
