Ameji noticed Cole and Dietrich were missing but said nothing on the matter. He saw Ami was content and quiet for now and nearly sighed in relief.
He was taken aback when Akihiro asked him if he were ok. Ameji thought he was quick to hide, but Aki had an ever watchful eye, apparently.
Ameji pulled his hand out from his pocket again and looked at it. The blood hadn't soaked the bandage completely, but there was a decent amount there. Before he could really reply, he felt a heavy hand on his shoulder.
Looking back, Ameji's view was the broad expanse of Kinniku's chest. His gaze traveled up and met the hard stare of the Machamp, who slowly looked away from the boy's face to his injured hand. Kinni then glared at Ameji, as if to berate the boy for straining himself.
"H-hey Kinni. What's up?" Ameji asked, a dying chuckle in his throat.
A moment later Kinni had thrown Ameji over his shoulder and turned to have him face his new friends.
"Uh. Guys? I'm really sorry, but... I guess I have to go home now." Ameji said embarrassed, a light blush on his cheeks. "Kinni's really overprotective so..." he finished with a shrug.
He was stuck between a rock and a hard place. There was no way Kinni would let him stay after seeing his bloody hand. He might as well give in.

Ameji froze as the pokemons' warm, wet tongues met his skin. He accepted the act for what it was, their goodbyes, and shuddered slightly once the ordeal was over. Waving to the pokemon, Ameji smiled shyly at the two. Besides using the pokemon in school for battle class, he didn't really have a whole lot of experience dealing with others besides Kinni. And though the Machamp was affectionate, it was nothing like this.
"I'm really sorry about this, guys." Ameji said, perched on Kinni's shoulder. "I'll message you all tomorrow, if I have the time." The Machamp adjusted, jabbing his shoulder in Ameji's gut, slightly. "If I'm feeling better." Ameji added with a grimace, Kinni nodding his head in agreement.
Ameji waved to those he saw, and Kinni began his trek. After several minutes, Ameji reminded the Machamp that he had rode his bike there. A quick stop later, Kinni was soon carrying both the boy and his bike. Having four arms had its perks.
Ameji figured Kinni would bring him straight home, but instead he found himself at the hospital for the second time that day. He'd been berated slightly by the worried nurse, and had his stitches inspected, cleaned, and hand rebandaged.
The walk from there to their house was nice, considering he wasn't thrown over Kinni's shoulder like a sack of potatoes this time around. Ameji accepted the scolding from his Mother when they returned, and didn't pitch a fit when he was told to go rest. Instead he kissed his Mother's forehead and trudged to his room, feeling exhausted.
Moments later he was in bed, sending out messages to Hibachi, Aki, and D, apologizing for leaving early. He also mentioned he was tired and that he'd talk to them tomorrow. With the messages sent, Ameji found himself soon drifting to sleep.

Ameji woke later that night, having to answer nature's call. Feeling somewhat rejuvenated, he checked his phone, and found himself curious about a rather vague message from Akari saying that she had a surprise for him. Wondering what it could be about, as it wasn't their anniversary, nor his birthday, Ameji decided to worry about it the next day. Speaking of the next day, Ameji and his Mother were supposed to meet with an old friend of the family. Busy busy busy, he thought to himself.
He looked down at his rumpled clothing with a sigh. He'd forgotten to change into some pajamas. It took a couple minutes longer than usual to disrobe and then put on some sweatpants and a light T shirt. He'd stumbled once and tripped into his nightstand with a curse, thankfully nothing was knocked over.
A few moments later, after he'd sat down on his bed, his door creaked open.
"Maa?" "Hey Kinni. I'm ok, just tripped."
The Machamp huffed in reply and gently closed the door. As Ameji lay down to go to sleep, he heard the pokemon's footsteps retreat back downstairs. He smiled to himself and drifted off to sleep soon after.
Hopefully, the next time he woke would be to his alarm.

Dietrich sighed heavily and cleared his throat, "Hey! Where do you think you're going?" he called to Hibachi. "Remember that thing you broke my nose with? You wanna sleep on it?" he asks, knowing he probably didn't have anywhere else to go. He didn't really wait for an answer before grabbing Hibachi's wrist as they left the fair grounds.
Ami followed closely, handing off of Cole's arm and nuzzling him affectionately. "So, are we going to have one bed, or two?" she inquires about their hotel room.
Aki had had enough. Ami had dumped him almost a week ago and she was already practically dry-humping every guy she could get close to. For once, he'd lost his temper. Grabbing her arm, he untangled her forcefully from Cole and glared at her. "Look, I don't know what your problem is, but I've had it. I'm done watching this. If you don't wanna be here, then go home. I have to be here... I don't have a choice."
"I have no idea what you're talking about. You're hurting me.." Ami whines, trying to play Aki's emotions, at least one more time that night.
"No, I'm not. I don't even have a hold of your arm." Aki responds, gripping her school coat tighter, "You've put me down and rubbed up on other guys since you got here. What's your deal?"
"You're just jealous! I left you! How pathetic are you?" she smirks.
". . . I get it. I'll leave you alone. Don't worry. No more jealousy." Aki said simply and let her go, following Dietrich out of the park, watching him drag Hibachi.
Ami stood still, not sure what to do or say. Her plan had totally backfired. She'd wanted Aki to be desperate to get her back, begging on his hands and knees so she'd know he couldn't live without her, but it turned out he had a spine after all.

Ameji woke to his morning alarm with a frown, and hissed in pain as he slapped the dismiss button with his injured hand. Holding it up for inspection, he nearly sighed in relief. Thankfully he hadn't torn anything, if he had, he doubted Kinni would let him out of his sight.
He found his mood hadn't lightened much during his morning routine. Ameji practically glared at his cereal as he ate, crunching the food between his teeth with a vengeance. Kinni gently set Ameji's medication on the table within reach, and the young male mumbled a thank you before popping back a pain pill. Ameji's Mother frowned at him sympathetically and gave him a gentle pat on the shoulder before returning to her cooking.
There was a knock at the front door and Kinni left to answer it. A moment later, Akari walked into the kitchen carrying a small wrapped box and a bag that matched.
"Good morning everybody." She greeted with a smile. "Mmm." Ameji hummed in reply, not really feeling the cheer that his girlfriend was. "How are you feeling?" She asked, sitting down next to him. "... Mmm."
Akari chuckled under her breath and leaned over to give him a kiss on the cheek. Ameji quickly moved and caught her lips with his own, smirking at Akari when she pulled away embarrassed. His smirk only widened when he heard her call him a jerk under her breath.
"I got you something." Akari said, flushed.
Ameji raised a brow at the offered items, and set his cutlery down to take them from his girlfriend.
"Open the box first." Was his only instruction.
Following said instructions, Ameji ripped off the silly wrapping paper and opened the box. His eyes widened as he laid eyes on a brand new, purple pokegear. Gently taking it from the box, he looked it over. Akari motioned to the bag, and Ameji reached into it soon after. He pulled out a dark brown leather belt that already held six pokeballs. Five of the six were empty.
"Is this... ?" Ameji trailed off, somewhat disbelieving. "The Horsea you caught, yeah. I didn't catch it at the beach, you did, and I don't think it's fair for me to keep it." Akari replied. "I always regret that you had to grow up so fast." Ameji's Mother added quietly. "You were never given the chance to start your adventure, sometimes I feel like I took that away from you."
Ameji swallowed past the lump in his throat as his grip tightened on the belt in hand. He didn't know what to say. Honestly, he'd wanted to travel on an adventure for years, but he felt that he had to stay and help take care of things.

Hibachi found himself unable to get out of Dietrich's grasp. Much to his own personal annoyance. He resigned himself to sleeping over there that evening.
-That morning-
Hibachi woke even before Dietrich, slipping out of the house without a sound but not before cleaning up after himself and leaving a decent sum of money in an envelope on the coffee table. He would find himself outside once more and on his way to the local pokemart. His intention was to buy some new pokeballs and several packages of pokemon food. He was in a good mood, able to buy good quaility food for a change,
The food bought and his pokeball supply replenished and his food stockpile refilled he made his way toward the grassy area of Pallet. He had to catch a few new pokemon, and this was the best time to do it. He would train nearby a well used pathway, so most everyone in pallet would walk by him at some point.
Cole had taken Ami to a hotel, getting them a shared room with two beds, after everything had calmed down. He had said his goodnight to Dietrich, with a shocked expression. He had never seen Aki use his spine before, and so he himself was kind of reeling from the shock. He would wake up somewhat early, or at the same time as Ami, which ever came first really, and begin making coffee. He would wait until she was ready to go and then begin their track home. He felt staying here to much longer was going to start alot more Drama.

Ameji had placed the belt on his lap, and took Horsea's pokeball in hand. He held it somewhat reverently, watching it seemingly swim in rotations. When it noticed it was being looked at, the Horsea stopped and began dancing in place happily. That was Ameji's only warning before the pokeball burst open and Horsea came bounding out onto his lap. Startled, Ameji caught and held the small water pokemon.
"Horsea! Horse, horse, horse!" It began chatting wildly at Ameji. "Hey there little guy. You are a guy, right?" Ameji said with a chuckle, he gently scratched behind its fins. "Yeah, it's a boy." Akari explained, she grabbed Ameji's pokegear and began to talk about all its functions, along with information about Ameji's new Trainer ID. "I never registered Horsea as mine, so his OT says he's yours." She finished.
Ameji was silent for some time, thinking. He couldn't just leave Pallet. He had school just over in Viridian, a job at the family bakery. What about his Mother? Akari and Sabi? Ameji was happy, but also somewhat frustrated. It was as if a window of opportunity had opened, but he couldn't go through, instead all he could do was look out and wish he could be apart of the scenery there.
"I'm not leaving." Ameji said after some time, interrupting the conversation between Akari and his Mother. "What do you mean Sweetheart?" His Mother asked. "I can't just leave. I have school, and work. I can't..." He trailed off somewhat sadly. I can't just leave you here alone.
Noticing Ameji's internal struggle, and knowing how he preferred to deal with things, Akari soon announced she was leaving. Ameji walked her to the front door, Horsea left behind in his seat.
"Akari," Ameji grabbed her hand before she could go. "thank you. Really. I just, have a lot on my mind right now." "I know. We'll figure something out, kay?" Akari replied with a small smile.
Before they could say anymore, Itamae popped in in the foyer, Horsea in her arms, Kinni close behind.
"The ship should be docking soon, Ameji. We should go too."
His mother handed him his Horsea, and Kinni handed him his belt. Soon everybody was on their way to their destinations.
Not wanting to baby the Horsea too much, Ameji called it back to its pokeball. The mother and son lightly chatted as they walked to the docks, and Kinni, their silent guardian walked alongside them.
