The paladins weren't done yet, hwoever, as they addressed to Darrick. "We would like to congradulate you, as well, for your excellent performance in assisting Aurora here, and have heard that you do not plan on becoming a plaladin. As unfortunate as that is to hear, it is your decision, and we will heed by it. The both of you are permitted to leave for a few weeks before we find a field Paladin to take her under their wing. Good day to you both..." With that, they left without another word.

Aurora turned to her one friend and gave a warming smile. "Since we now have lots of time, how about I introduce you to my family? We'll need their approval if your that determined to learn a sword-style."

*Darrick gave a nod, "vary well I guess it's time to face the teeth of the dragon." He placed his hands to his sides as they turned to leave, "I rather appreshate the assistance. Being what I keep getting into, I wish to learn as soon as possible before I run into another one." He gave a single nod.

((Heya. I have returned from my self-exile, and I hope that we can continue where we left off; Of course I know for certain that it will take us both a lot of time to catch up on what it was that was planned here, but I hope to get in touch with you once more at the very least. biggrin ))

"Oh come on, they're not that strict... sort of. Oh, almost forgot my stuff too!!" She grabbed him by his arm and proceeded to drag him towards the 'barracks' to get the last of her things before they made their way to her home.

It would take a day to arrive there, which was why she had ordered tickets to get there by train. At least this way they could sleep and have plenty of time to get to her home town. She was quiet as the sun was setting because she had recently spotted something back at the Exams.... her family didn't show up. She had been wanting to display her prowess and how dedicated she was to the way of the Sword, but it seemed that something was holding them up and couldn't make it. "I wonder how they're doing. I haven't seen them since I went to the Academy..."

Darrick was quiet for a extension of the trip as swell, being he didn't talk much. When she finally started to admit what she was thinking out loud about her family, He gave a nod, "i'm not sure. But I would have believed them to be there, if not at least one member. Or a good luck card, or letter perhaps by mail. I sense we should proceed in caution perhaps. Just in case."

((I CANT REMEMBER CRAP! lol I barly remember the character more or less XDD lol but welcome back. Been a year since I rp'd with anyone or even spoke to anyone on gaia. I still check it at least once every day, even though no one has been on. Glad to see you back ^W^))

For a bit longer they remained in silence aside from the muffled sound of the train constantly on the move and a few people in the far corners of the cart. Feeling awkward about it, she hoped to get some more info from her new friend. "Hey, I've done nothing but talk about me. What about you? Anything you feel like sharing?" She smiled weird in hope to get the poor guy to say something, anything, as he hadn't said much aside from their discovery of her new blade.

((Well if nothing else, it wouldn't hurt to look back on the few pages that are on this prequel to try and re-spark on the ideas you may have had. I for one finally read though our original fully today and recall what it was that we had planned out.... for the most part.))

Darrick kept his normal poster for a while. "I not vary into talking." He replied simply. Perhaps it was because he didn't understand what she ment. Maybe it was just because he had too many things going on in his head. But he quickly realized perhaps he was being difficult at such a time. She was trying to be... friendly. He eventually spoke up, "I am not sure what is going to come next. I'm not much of a family orientated person." she turned to look out the window.
