[PRP] Locked Out [Barley & Orchid]

"Yeah, they're determined to make me take a break." He snorted, frowning a bit. "Why can't they just understand we have things to do? One day I got locked out and ended up ruining some chocolate I had left out overnight to dry! " He smiled despite his mild annoyance. Finally, someone who understood the woes of being locked out!!

She gave a sympathetic smile at that, knowing very well what it was like to have something ruin by 'needing to take break'. "Oh, I know. Mah brother got such a whuppin' when he gone and lock me out and ruin one of mah batches!"

She giggled softly, thinking fondly of said memory before grinning at him. "We got to get ourselves some lockpickin' lessons."

"Definitely! I'm sure we'd both be great at it, have a good enough reason to get good at it anyways." He said, deviously grinning. "Maybe lock them out of their places sometime, so they know how it feels." That was less of a plan, seeing how he wouldn't lock his mother out of her shop. Maybe Rosewrite though, if anyone should talk about getting out, it was him of all phonies.

Barley laughed at the plan, although she was sure her mother would kill her if she locked her out. But her brother was fair game. "They would probably like it." She stuck her tongue out and grinned. "Come on, let's see if we can find somewhere to learn how to pick locks."

Then her eyes lit up. "Or, we make extra keys and put them somewhere no one gonna find! Like...like under a rock or at somephony's house, and ya just drop by and swipe them!" She bumped against his shoulder playfully. "Maybe I'll give ya mine, and ya give me yours, and we never get locked out again!"

"Don't forget your coffee before we go looking!" He laughed, getting his that had been getting cold at the counter. He didn't even mind the lack of warmth now, talking to Barley had been fun.

"Trading keys sounds like a great idea! I mean, hiding them is also really good too, but it guarantees that they can't get taken by our families!" Orchid replied enthusiastically, adding "It's really nice talking to you anyways Barley. Hey, let's go find a key copier before we forget. And whoever teaches lockpicking." He motioned towards the door, finding that maybe today wasn't so bad. After all, he had made a new friend and had new plans to keep from getting locked out of his shop. As odd as it was, he was glad his brother had taken his keys for once, otherwise he wouldn't have met Barley Pop.
