"In all honesty just to protect people who can't protect themselves. I know it's cliché." Max said as his attention got distracted as he spotted the waitress bring over the food. He a had pleased look as the plate was lied in front of him. He then began to eat without a second thought starving since he had been exhausted from his exercise.

He continued to eat until hearing her voice which caused him to stop for a moment before finishing chewing. Max's face then looked up his face red as he said putting a hand behind his head "Oh so sorry just hungry." He felt like a fool as he took his napkin and wiped his face noticing he had already finished. He waved over the waitress ordering a drink which was quickly brought back to the table. He then sipped his alcoholic drink trying to hide his face from Lucy who he had forgotten was a diclonius and just saw her as an average girl.

Max looked down at her with a smile and only hit of blush as he said "Oh it's nothing I swear." He then waved a waiter over seeing that Lucy was finished eating. He watched him remove the plates nodding as he whispered to the man. He then sat back down and in a few minutes the same man returned with a large bowel of ice cream that he placed in front of Lucy. Max smiled at Lucy as he said"Hopefully you have a sweet tooth." At this time the restaurant many of the people had left only a few staff were there. This put the thought in the back of his that she could kill someone slowly disappear as he looked at her.
