She was happily painting on a warm, sunny summer day. All of a sudden, the day was a cool, rainy day and the figure in the painting came to life, chasing after the young artist that had so diligently painted it...

Mikayla woke up with tears streaming down her face. "Aussie? Aussie!?! she cried out, hoping that her big brother would come. When nobody did come, she sat up shakily to investigate her surroundings. The walls around her were white, too white. She looked down and saw that she sat on a metal framed bed that looked like it was from an old movie. A thin white blanket covered her and an IV line went into her arm. Trying not to panic, she tried to think about how she came to be here.

Two days ago, she had been playing with Peter and Hutt. Then, that night, she had started to feel warm...too warm. Just as she now felt too warm. Yet she was shivering like she had been caught out in the rain. In an effort to warm up, she lay back down on her bed and huddled under her blanket. She must have gotten really sick and been taken to the hospital, or that was at least the best explanation her little mind could come up with. "Some one help me, please? she sobbed quietly, though she was not even sure that someone could hear her.

((Out of crayons: Pardon any OOCness in Wy...I figured that with her being sick, she would probably be more vulnerable like any little kid.))

"I see our little one is awake!" The pediatrician waltzed in all cheerful. He carried the folder of the patient's information propped up on his shoulder. Spain hadn't really read the chart except for that she was under his care and her name. "Buenos días. I hope you slept well. How are you feeling?" he chimed ever so causally. Last thing the doctor wanted was to scare the niña. "I'm Dr. Antonio Fernández Carriedo, but please call me Dr. Boss. It's much easier to say." Not that he had a problem with his long name.

Mikayla stirred as her "vistitor" came in, waking from a light doze. "G'day, Dr...Boss?" she said uncertainly as she sat up and rubbed at her eyes. "I slept a little, but I feel all hot and cold at the same time and it makes it hard to sleep." The micronation gazed up at him, her brown eyes wide and glossed over from the fever that she had. "Can you make me feel better? And can you bring me Mr. Bunny?" she inquired innocently. Though Mikayla felt very poorly, she could tell that her beloved stuffed bunny had been taken from her. If she got her bunny back, she would probably begin to feel just that much better.

"Hmm" his brow narrowed a bit in concern and instinctively leaned over to place a hand on her forehead. Unlike some of the other doctors, there were a few things the Spaniard knew about like mending bones because of the many inflicted injuries caused by Romano and when one was ill. "You do feel a bit warm. Most likely a fever. Hm..." he twisted the edge of his mouth before clicking his pen to jot down a few things to her file. "We're going to have to runs some (unnecessary) tests, just to be sure. Leeches should do the trick. And you're probably hungry so I'll see what Dr. Hero recommends as for your nutrition." Spain scribble out what was to be a diagnoses but really it was nothing more than chicken scratch on the paper. He paused his writing when she mentioned something about a bunny. "Señor Conejo?" he repeated only in Spanish and merely stared with a blank expression to the girl. "A amigo of your? or patient?" searching through the folder again to find any info of this 'bunny' only to find no such records.

Mikayly nuzzled against the hand that the doctor placed on her forehead. It felt cool against her warm skin. Whenever he mentioned some tests, however, she shirked back in a mild panic. "Crikey! Wha-what kind of tests Mr. Doctor?!?" She did not want any tests! She just wanted to feel comfortable again...and to eat some delicious kebabs...and to huggle her stuffed bunny...and to paint. At the mention of food, she perked up ever so slightly. "I am hungry! Can I have something good?" She blinked her wide brown eyes at him, hopeful. "And no! Mr. Bunny is my stuffed toy...he was with me when my brother brought me! Gimme him back!" If her rabbit was lost, she was truly going to freak out now, her fever finally pushing her into a mild state of delirium. She considered the stuffed toy to be her best friend, or at least as much of one as she had right now.

She was not going to hit this nice man she was not going to hit this nice man...no, she was! She raised a small fist to hit him, but before she could do anything a series of chills caused her to tremble violently. "S-s-so cold! Crikey!"

"Not to worry, our nurses the best and will be taking care of the tests. Nothing to be afraid of." Dr. Boss smiled and mistaken the girl's real cause of worry. "Their will be another nurse to come around with the food. I have to sign off these documents to let them know of your condition." Nothing could cure a cold like Dr. Hero's food guide or the cook's cooking.

"Lo siento." he replied. "We generally confiscate and items you have when you enter the hospital, but if Señor Bunny means so much to you, I can see if he is still around." At first it looked as if the girl was about hit him, Not that he wasn't to such abuse from one of his former territories, but sudden take over from chills got him concerned. He rose from his current position and began to head out the room. "I'll have a nurse bring the leeches right away."

"No--no...don't go! I don't want to be alone...," Mikayla said softly as she scooted a little closer to Dr. Boss and clung tightly to his sleeve. This man seemed to be a friend and she didn't want to be alone in this scary place. All too soon, though, the Spaniard had gotten up and was on his way out. "I don't want leeches or tests! I want good food and I want Mister Bunny and I want you to stay with me!" the Australian micronation said with a pout as another bout of chills overtook her.

Dr.Boss froze and slowly turned to the child. Nothing pulled his heart strings more than a scared child looking to him for comfort or help and her gripping his sleeve nearly caused a swell of tears in the Spainard's eyes. He couldn't take it anymore and held the girl in a warm embrace. "Todo estará bien." Once it felt like the girl was calm again he pulled away. "The nurse will take good care you but I can't go looking for Señor Bunny if I'm kept here, si?" He gave a playful wink and stood up to leave again. "It shouldn't take long."
