Biography: Akiko's family took pirde in their ability to spawn strong Shinigami. While they were not an elite family, they were respected as 5 of the last six heads had been ranked officers, of which 1 had been a captain and 2 more had been at least 3rd seats. Akiko's generation was not as fortunate as the last. While most of the family were bound to die in battle, after they had graduated from the academy, 4 of Akiko's siblings died in training, because of their cowardice or weakness. Bound by the family's will, every child had to push themselves past their limits, hoping to become as strong as their predecessors.
Akiko and her twin were the last to enter of the family. Their younger sister had broken down after witnessing one of the siblings' deaths firsthand and so even the Family head found her exempt. She was practically thrown away after that, married into a lower-ranked noble family. Akiko's twin, Natsumi, was weak like their older siblings, but she refused to give up. Akiko had to save her from danger several times during training and because of this, grew even stronger. She was well known for her strength at this point, and already was a member of the Elite Class. She was seen as the next head of family. Natsumi, while weak, was the elder of the twins, and was insulted by this. She arranged for a number of bandits to corner Akiko, to get rid of her. Akiko, however, dealt with them like they were trash.
This was the first time that she had awakened Takemikazuchi, and using the zanpakuto's abilities instrinctively, she literally turned the surrounding area into dust with the lightning. Natsumi couldn't believe this, and challenged her sister right then and there. She had pushed herself so far, and couldn't back down. Despite her weakness, she had the will of the family, even more than Akiko did. Along with that... Akiko couldn't bring herself to cut down her traitorous older sister. She was weaker in that regard. She informed the family that she and Natsumi had dueled... and she had lost, entrapped by Natsumi's cunning. From then on, Akiko would live in Natsumi's shadow. ... for the next 50 years at least. Natsumi trained hard and eventually made it to the rank of Vice-Captain of one of the Divisions, while Akiko was only a 10th seat. She knew that there had been political machinations that had kept her there, to remind her that she had lost to someone so much weaker than her. She trained in secret diligently, and eventually rose to the level of 5th seat of the 10th division. This didn't go unnoticed and her family invited her back again after a lnog period of passive shunning. She refused.
Natsumi, stunned by her sister's "lack of common sense" tried to force her to come back. She, though she had betrayed her, still felt a connection and didn't want to lose her completely... unless she got stronger. It was soon after that Akiko would prove exactly how much stronger she had become. It had been 50 years and during that time she had not only mastered shikai, but had trained in bankai in secret. While it was still rough, she was able to utilize the techniques that she had gained through years of incredibly tough work. A group of mid-level arrancar had attacked the shinigami team in charge of a certain area, and Akiko was sent as back-up. She kenw that she was only being sent to test the enemy. She was not expected to survive. It was at this time that her distrust of the Soul Society started. However, she wanted to survive and didn't want to run away like a coward. She fought, and destroyed the enemy, who had not yet killed the other shinigami.
They returned and she was used as a tool for the Soul Society, to show how a "formerly weak seated officer grew to the level where they could use bankai. If she could, you can too." She became somewhat of an idol, with people wanting to meet her, to marry her, to talk to her. She hated all of it. THis was the time when Natsumi was angered by her sister's recovery, but at the same time was relieved to hear she survived. One night, she stole quietly to where Akiko was staying and met with her for the first time in 35 years. Akiko was wary at first, but then was happy to realize her sister acknowledged her for real. At this time, Akiko was leagues above Natsumi, but Natsumi herself had become an incredibly competent shinigami. Natsumi became the only one Akiko felt she could completely trust. After all, she had already betrayed her and she knew her sister's tricks. Not only that, Natsumi owed Akiko her life. While these thoughts were horrible, they were the correct ones, Akiko felt, that she needed to have. For a long period of time, Natsumi and Akiko were friends. They trained together and chatted. Akiko was promoted to Vice-Captain as well, and even helped Natsumi with her Bankai training. This was the height of the Murakami family's political strength, with two bankai wielding shinigami of the same generation. It would not last. Natsumi, while she had grown stronger, had a naturally weak body, and her health deteriorated as she trained in bankai. the stress was too much for her.
One day when they trained, Natsumi and Akiko were "casually" sparring while using bankai and Akiko lost control of the lightning as Natsumi told a joke. Because of Natsumi's already tired state, she was struck to the ground. Akiko rushed over to her and tried getting her to look into her eyes. Natsumi was too weak. Her bankai disappeared, and Akiko realized her sister was near death. It was too late. The 4th Division would not make it in time, and while Akiko tried staunching her sister's wounds and using the basic first-aid and healing kido they learned at the academy, Natsumi's heart was already too heavy to pick back up. Natsumi's last words stuck in Akiko's memory forever: "Now... you are the last of our generation. It... must suck. Wouldn't it have been better if you had killed me then?" Akiko had denied this vigorously. She said that if she had, she would have surely hated Natsumi forever. "You didn't... don't... hate me?" Natsumi laughed, coughing up blood. "Why... not? I think... up until only recently... I hated you... for being better... for being... st-..." She grabbed Akiko's shoulders at this time, and with her last breaths said, "Sayonara, my dear... sister... Don't end up... like... us..."
After this, Akiko avoided her family, and only saw them at Natsumi's funeral. She avoided all questions about her death and only took the inheritance that Natsumi had bestowed upon her. A single, yet beautiful, scarf. It was Natsumi's favorite, and she would always wear it happily. Even when they were kids, she had this scarf. it was a cheap thing, but it had been maintained well. Akiko knew her sister wanted to remain in her memories, and this scarf was the thing to do the trick. Akiko knew there was a double meaning. Trust me. The scarf was there to remind her... not to trust the family. Not to let her children, if she had any, end up like they all had. If she bore 6 children... would she have felt happy if only 1 survived? She knew that she couldn't have been. Natsumi had known, and at the start hated her for, not being like any of her family. She was strong in both body and mind, ruthless in battle, but she couldn't let her loved ones die before her eyes. She kept this mindset for a long time.
Twenty years after all of the events, after abandoning her family and those duties that would have bene forced upon her, she became a Captain of the Gotei 13. She had been the Captain of the 6th Division and was a staunch and "loyal" member. However, after 200 years, she was confronted by a lingering issue in her heart. Her zanpakuto was beginning to betray her. She did not understand this, but she soon would realize that it was her inner hollow that she faced. She fled to the Human World after the 12th Division did research and realized her Spiritual pressure was abnormal and matched that of hollowfication. She somehow found her way from there into Hueco Mundo where she wasforced to go through the battle of her Inner World. She destroyed a large area of Hueco Mundo in the time, though most of the inhabitants were wise enough to stay away and just watch, some in fear, some with interest, others in amusement. that did nothing however, ni the end. The hollow form of her still used Takemikazuchi's abilities and the area was turned to dust, to match the sand of the desolate world, by the lightning.
It took at least 5 years, but she learned to control the mask and it's powers. From then on, she has lived in the Human World. She found others like her and they banded together. She was the de facto leader, but in reality she was a lone wolf and didn't like the idea. Eventually they would meet Kisaragi Tsukasa who she recognized as her superior and waited until the time when everyone trusted him. She took the role of Vice-Commander, believing that Tsukasa was at least more trustworthy as their commander than any of the others.
Personality: While she is friendly with her fellow vizard and the random person, she is a lone wolf and she fights like one. She hates people that trust blindly, and hates people that push their desires or beliefs onto another person. She is calm and gentle most of the time, but in battle she has a coldness to her that speaks of the rain and the storms. She can cut an enemy down mercilessly, and can see a lvoed one die without shedding a tear. The one person she trusted completely had already gone, and she felt like her "pack" had been erased alnog with Natsumi as well. Her emotions being screwed up as they are, she rarely can feel fear, but she is calculating, understanding, and can act happy, sad, or angry, dependant on the circumstances.

Shikai Appearance : Shikai Form
Physical Changes : Takemikazuchi becomes an unusually shaped kusarigama.
Battlefield Changes : Takemikazuchi is one of the, if not the, strongest Lighting type zanpakuto in existence. Similar to hyorinmaru, the weather changes to that of a storm. Rain falls and lightning strikes down. Water-type zanpakuto benefit from this change as well.
Shikai Boosts: Shikai naturally boosts Akiko's agility and speed, as well as reaction time.
Shikai Techniques :
Sacrificial Strike - This is Akiko''s most used technique. It has an incredibly short cooldown (1 turn), but because it's price is high, obviously Akiko doesn't use it a huge number of times... while not in Vizard form. This ability requires that Akiko strike herself. The lightning from Takemikazuchi enters her, and her speed and agility are increased even further. She can move at almost shunpo speed without even using a shunpo, and when she does, her speed is incredible. This attack requires quite a bit of energy and only happens for a split second, so she usually uses it at the start of a battle, or when she feels she has sufficiently cornered her opponent. (7/10 offense, 9/10 in Bankai)
Thunder God's Lightning Halberd - A mid-level kido spell, Akiko shoots lightning shaped like a halberd at her opponent. This has a 4-turn cool-down. (6/10 Offense)
Know Your Place - This spell occurs when the weight of the kusarigama wraps itself around the opponent. Takemikazuchi sends an electric charge through that both creates an explosion, and if the enemy is connected too long, stuns them. (5/10 Offense)
Quake and Quiver - While this is basically a passive ability, Takemikazuchi makes it so Akiko can magnetize anything with a charge and control it. for instance, she can cause minerals to vibrate extremely rapidly around Takemikazuchi, or herself, creating a thin layer of extra defense. (2/5 Defense, 4/5 in Bankai)

- Bankai Command : Kenaku Takemikazuchi (険悪武甕槌) [Perilous Thunder God] (Pun. Yes I did. Kenaku also can mean stormy)
Bankai Appearance : The kusarigama doesn't change but lightning constantly crashes around Akiko and a large cloud about 100 meters wide floats above her.
Physical Changes : Akiko herself grows a tail made of lightning and she just has an aura of lightning surrounding her at all times.
Battlefield Changes : Like in shikai, but much more potent, the surrounding area truly becomes the center for a storm with minor tornadoes as well as constant lightning strikes and rain occurring.
Bankai Boosts: massively Increases the boosts that shikai gives regarding speed, reflexes, quickness of thought processing, and agility. Her defense is boosted because of the lightning aura and all of her strikes let off small explosions due to the heat and lightning colliding with something physical. All of the abilities in shikai can be used, but they are also much more potent.
Bankai Techniques :
Thundering God, Roar - Akiko's ability to magnetize grows even larger. Minerals in the ground serve her bidding and she can causes massive earthquakes if she imbeds the weight of the kusarigama into the ground. this is basically a passive ability, but requires that the weight becompletely covered for it to send a large enough charge to work properly. Thundering God, Slake Your Thirst - This is an ability that requires Akiko stab an opponent. If she manages to imbed the blade into an opponent, energy like lightning goes into the body and causes an explosion. This is basically a finishing technique. It takes 1 turn to stab, 1 turn to send the energy, 1 turn for the energy to gain energy, and 1 turn to explode. It has a cooldown of 10 turns (8/10 Offense)
Thundering God, Prayers to Answer - This is an attack that Akiko only uses when she is cornered, or when she is in Vizard form. She impales herself upon her kusarigama's blade, which then turns her entire body into lightning. She cannot be cut by any physical means, but for a split second she can travel at the speed of lightning, boosted by shunpo and the already strong speed boosts. this is an ability she uses to cut down an opponent in her line of sight. If the opponent manages to dodge at least 10 meters away, then they can escape, but if they don't, they would surely be cut down by the ferocity of the rush. This ability also takes a large amount of energy and has a cooldown of 15 turns. (10/10 Offense, 5/5 Defense - This is due to the fact that for the time that this ability is active, she is practically invincible, having turned to lightning)

58. Kakushitsuijaku (摑趾追雀, Summoning of the Tracking Sparrows) — Tracks and locates any spiritual force the user focuses on. To activate it, the user must draw a circle on the ground, cut into four parts with a specific character in each. The incantation animates the circle, causing various numbers to appear within until the specific set is found. The number set seems to be a variation on longitude and latitude.

88. Hiryugekizokushintenraiho (飛竜撃賊震天雷砲, Flying Dragon-Striking Heaven-Shaking Thunder Cannon) — Fires a gigantic blast of spiritual energy resulting in an truly enormous explosion.
90. Kurohitsugi (黒棺, Black Coffin) — Forms a box of black energy around a target, which is then pierced by dozens of energy "spears", lacerating the one inside from head to toe. Its appearance and function is reminiscent of a common magician's trick, as well as certain torture devices used during the Spanish Inquisition.
91. Senjū Kōten Taihō (千手皎天汰炮, Thousand-Hand Bright Heaven Culling-Sear) — Summons several spears of light that are all fired towards the same focal point where the intended target resides. The culminating explosion is exceedingly devastating.
