I am 24 years old this last May (sigh). And recently married as well (May 19 gaia_diamond )

Allow me to introduce myself, fellow writers. I am Girl on Fire 12, though you may call me Fire or Rachel if you so desire. As you already know, I love to write. I mean, duh. Why else would I be here? My favorite genre to write is fantasy and my books involve a lot of action/adventure with some girl power and a hint of romance on the side. As for poems, they oddly seem to revolve around love. Not entirely sure why, but that's just the way it is. Oh, I really suck at coming up with beginnings to my story. I usually don't write those till later. My age you ask? (Oh, you didn't? Well, let's just pretend you did.) I am fifteen and turning sixteen on December twenty-first. Some random facts: I play cello for my school orchestra, I love the color purple, my favorite series is Harry Potter, and I am working on a book called War Maiden if you wish to check it out biggrin

Hello, all! I'm AJKline. I'm a 21 year old female in California who hates direct sunlight. I've been writing since the age of five, which was when I wrote my very first story. I love paper and chocolate and think double-spacing is for the weak. I play piano but cannot read music, am an excellent cook, and like to scribble things I call drawings.

I write almost entirely fiction, mostly dealing in fantasy and adventure. The only genres I've not really written yet are sci fi and legitimate horror. I'm sure this is because I mostly read fantasy and adventure books, although I have been known to love a good sci-fi read.

I'm REALLY good with dialogue. I do sometimes have to work extra hard to put the rest of the story in there. I'm extremely prone to letting descriptions slide through the cracks, I'm trying desperately to get better about that.

Recommended books: The Phantom Tollbooth. Recommended music: Anything by Balmorhea. Excellent writing music.

You can call me Dianda, or Funklepus. It's up to you. And just like everyone else in this guild I like to write. I'm a 21 year old girl from Holland, I live together with my boyfriend and two cats -- I love cats.

I'm not the type of person to write stories. Since I started blogging (links can be found in my signature) I got into articles, and since last year around December I started writing articles for an animal website. I usually write articles animals related, but lately I've been trying to write/blog about other things as well. Figuring out what my strength and what my weaknesses are. So now and then I also write poetry, and I'm very interested in writing stories. yet, I lack the inspiration to create anything. So maybe it's just not the right time.

English is not my first language. Which is Dutch. My Dutch in fact isn't that great as it's supposed to be. Talking is no problem, but my dutch spelling and grammar sometimes shows a lot of mistakes. This is another reason why I prefer to write in English. It's much easier. But I promised my teacher to work a little bit on my Dutch.

Because I haven't written stories yet -- well just one short story, and roleplaying doesn't count -- I don't know which genre I really prefer to write. With reading I prefer horror, fiction, non-fiction, adventure, or anything else that is very well written.

I have no idea what I'm good at, so I'm letting that one slide. But I suck at doing description with characters, and sometimes I write a little bit too much details. And writers block, with writing stories or poems I always have a huge writers block. Punctuation (comma's mostly), I use them too much. Other than that, I think I need to figure out what I'm bad at. But I think I'm also very insecure about the things I write, and I'm afraid my articles are boring as hell. Tho, I've heard different things about it. I'm sure they lie. emotion_awesome

What I like to do in my free time? Blogging, watching movies or series (Grimm, True Blood), music, reading and I enjoy being creative. Whether it's with using my hands and making new cat toys, to doing nail-art, or creating an idea for a story to write in the future.

Anyway, I hope this guild will be a place where I feel at home. smile
If not, then I'm the kind of person to press the 'quit guild' button to never to be seen again.

Well hello everyone!
I'm Lie, or Sammy, or whatever you feel like calling me. I'll respond to "hey you" too. : P

I'm female, and I'm 20. I'll be 21 in October whee

I'm moving in September, so I'm a bit spacy as of late as I try to plan and adjust to everything. I'm also [sadly] willing to say I bleached my hair one too many times this summer, so I feel like I've turned into a dumb blonde.

I really like naps. My bed is my best friend. It's been keeping me from writing, but I'm trying to fix that before my entire summer is wasted. I also run girl scout camps, and this year I've been put in charge of a lot that's also taking up my time outside of the camping sessions.

Let's see... I love fiction writing. I'd rather write you a story than tell you why Abe Lincoln is a fantastic speaker or why you should read the Great Gatsby. I am an ex English major, because essay writing made me want to shoot my brains out, and I couldn't do much with creative writing at my school unless I was going to be a teacher, which my younger sister is doing.

Anyways, personal story aside. Sorry I ramble... a lot...

Genres I like to read... Well I'm a psychology major so anything with psychological stuff makes me a happy cupcake. I love horror and suspense, as well as fantasy and fairy tales. Growing up [and I guess it applies now too] I wasn't a fan of happy endings like Disney style happy endings. They are too repetitive. I could do realistic sort of fiction, as long as it's not the redundant "my life in high school" crap I know my sister reads. I like new and creative things. If it's overplayed, I get bored.


Trying to think of strong points... I heard from professors that my writing is awesome once I put a lot of work into it..?
I like to proofread other people's work. I am surprisingly better at judging other people's grammar over my own.

Weak points? That's eaaasssy....
I can't spell to save my life. I can use the right their/there/they're sort of thing, but sometimes I'm a bad judge of what Microsoft says is the right spelling.
I'm laaaazzzzzzy. I can spend hours plotting out a story and creating characters, but never get past chapter 3. I write parts I get excited about and then I tend to move on.
In addition to the lazy bit, I'm so lazy I hate proofreading. I just can't find myself to proofread my own work, or at least not do a good job at it. I'm awesome at not catching typos that are spelled correctly according to Microsoft.


But yeah... I think that's it for now. C:

Hello! My name is Sarah and I am 20 years old. I launched my "writing career" with fan fiction back in 2007 with an Inheritance Cycle story. I still love to write fan fiction, but I have several original stories that I want to write and hopefully have publish done day.

I absolutely love fantasy. Right now I have two fantasy story ideas, so if you love fantasy as well, feel free to ask about my stories. Although I mentioned that I love fantasy, I need to mention that I hate vampire and werewolf stories. I prefer epic fantasies like the classic, Lord of the Rings.

I prefer writing in 3rd person, although I have been challenging myself to write a story in 1st. I love proper grammar even though I make many grammatical mistakes.

As far as weaknesses, I have a lot of trouble with verb tenses. Of all the mistakes I make grammatically, I make those the most. I also have trouble describing a characters physical appearance. I am not sure why, but I find that task difficult. I also have trouble keeping characters in character and progressing my story too fast. I get really anxious at times, so I rush the story, and that is usually never good.

Hello there! My name's Cory, but I get called Dark, Dai-kun, Daisuke, Cory, Kadori, Lee, Storm, Ray, and the list goes on haha, but since we're on Gaia, Dai, Dark, or Daisuke are preferred 3nodding

I've been writing since my high school years, but I've got a lot of room to grow in still. I"m no Anne Rice, or J.R.R Tolkien, but someday perhaps I hope to be considered somewhere near their levels. I'd say my biggest strengths when it comes to writing would probably be characters, and how I explain things (Apparently people like it a lot. I do not know why.)
My biggest weaknesses would have to be grammar, and word choice.
I do write fanfiction, but I've got hundreds of ideas for other stories. I'd say I do a pretty good job at fanfiction since I get a decent number of favorites and other stuff signaling people like it. Anyways, I can't wait to post stuff here and read everyone else's works smile Nice to meet all of you!

Anyway, I've been writing for about, seven or eight years.
I mostly write fiction, supernatural/romance type material.
However, I write anything really.
I've writen all types of things and I've never finished it.
What I like to read...? Hmm, I guess it depends on my mood.
My strong points in my writing are creating a picture with words, and detail.
If I have other strong points I don't know.
I try to be modest about my writing and I've never had someone extensively read my works, so I don't openly know what my strong points are.
My weak points however is finishing a story, spelling, and sometimes grammar.
Though, I'm trying to get better with that, but it's difficult to reread a long three paragraphs that you just zapped out of your fingers.
I guess that's enough about me.

Citizen 9-100 (the character) is right about as old as time, Myself? I'm 20 this year.

I guess you could say my style of writing is the in depth, descriptive type.

I like to cover as many genres as possible with multiple stories, as to get a wider audience.

Strong points: Good ideas, planning
Weak points: Creativity, not much experience, not too good at "capturing the moment"

Even though I'm not going to gush all my ideas (working on a rather long story about my character) I will gladly talk to fellow trustworthy writers about parts of my ideas, as to make my work better smile

I'm eighteen and will start college in a month, studying English Literature.

I started writing when I was twelve and have done mostly fanfiction as a way to practice on my writing skills. Now, however, I have started working on more original ideas and would someday like to be an official writer.

I'm interested in different kinds of story, but mostly those that focus on action, adventure, romance, and the likes. Just the same, I write about such things as well, including themes such as madness and betrayal to the mix. I also like things such as fantasy. In addition, I also like tragic stories with bittersweet endings, or stories that are somewhat sad.

I have always liked to write and tend to focus more on fiction or poetry depending on the mood. Most of my works convey very specific emotions as most of my stories have been written when I am in an emotional state. However I do not limit myself in what I write. I have written a ten minute play and some non fiction in the past few months, mostly due to my creative writing class.
