The Night World role play will take place in a fictional small city in northeastern Ohio called Fallen Trees. It has a population of around 2,500 people, so it's not small enough where everyone would know each other, but big enough for trouble to stir.

The time is present day, but the Apocalypse has not happened, so Circle Daybreak is still a resistance organisation working to bring humans and the Night World together.

The "royal" families of the Night World:

Vampires: the Redferns.
Witches: the Harmons, also known as the Hearth Women.
Shapeshifters: the Draches (descendants of the dragon princess from the battle between witches and shapeshifters. They can transform into any animal they choose, but they are stuck with that animal for life. They get one chance to pick the animal they can shift into for the rest of their lives.

Night World Races: The Pure and The Mixed

Shapeshifters are, from my knowledge, carnivores. Their society is patriarchal like the vampires. They consist of Houses for each species, each holding their own royal family and nobles.
Werewolves are not pure-blood shifter wolves. They are a hybrid between shifter dogs and wolves and are thus seen as second class even in their own society. Werewolves are only allowed to eat organs (but no one enforces this rule so feel free to eat whatever you want, except people; those are off limits to everyone).

Vampires are either born as lambia or are made through a blood exchange. A human, witch, or shapeshifter can undergo the change as long as they receive enough blood from a vampire or multiple vampires. If the said person does not receive enough blood, he or she will be turned into a ghoul instead.
A ghoul is a creature that failed to turn into a vampire. It's flesh is constantly decaying as it lives because it did not fully change. They seek fresh blood and flesh from their victims due to this state so it is best to kill a ghoul on sight or it'll eat you.
Lamia vampires are able to stop their aging process whenever they want. If, at anytime for any reason, they decide to start aging again, the years that they have piled up will rapidly catch up with them physically. So, if you are a three-hundred-year-old lamia vampire, I suggest that you don't age again unless you want to die. Lamia are also the vampires who are able to eat, drink, and reproduce. The first lamia vampire was Red Fern, the son of Maya, the first vampire.
Made vampires typically below the age of nineteen. Some rare cases of those who were turned from ages twenty to twenty-five are nearly non-existent. For whatever reason, a human, witch, or shapeshifter cannot be turn passed adulthood. Those made vampires you meet will be teens and some children. Made vampires do not age, eat, drink, or reproduce, but they do have beating hearts and their hair and nails do grow.

Witches have three Circles, which are the covens of their society. Witches practice magic with the aid of herbs, gemstones, effigies and incantations, all of which may be used in a spell; they worship the Goddess in her many manifestations, celebrate Samhain, and probably other festivals on the Wheel of the Year. However their magic is innate and does not always require external aids, although these can accentuate their power. Offensive and defensive spells can be used with a simple chant. No witch has the power to see into the past or control the weather. The whole of witch society is governed by the maiden, mother, and crone. A Hearth Woman is usually the crone. If you are a Harmon, then you are a descendant of the goddess Hecate Witch-Queen and her daughter Hellewise Hearth-Woman. All Redferns are relatives of the Harmons because the first vampire, Maya, was the twin sister of Hellewise. This is the same for all witches with Harmon lineage. Witches refer to themselves as daughters of Hellewise, this include men. The man to female ratio for witches is about one to three. Men are usually born as twins with a sister. Witch society is matriarchal, that is, the family name is the mother's name. Men give up their last names and take on their wives' last names.
Lost witches are witches, for whatever reason, have lost the knowledge of their family lineage. They are known to human society as psychics, mediums, etc. If a lost witch discovers his or her lineage, they may choose to become part of the Night World or continue his or her life as a human. A male witch may be born without a twin.
Rogue Witches are witches that have purposely killed another living being and has gone against Hecate and her daughters, or are witches that accidentally killed, but they still are out of favor of their goddess and thus can live as humans or use their witchy powers without the blessings of the Goddess. They use magic to cause great harm to others and should be considered with caution.
Witch Covens:
Circle Twilight: witches of this coven use light magic, taking on professions of healing and other goody-goody things. They don't typically marry humans.
Circle Midnight: witches of this coven are from the darker side of magic, often using charms and underhanded tricks to get what they want. They are more selfish than their Twilight counterparts. They do not marry humans.
Circle Daybreak: witches of this coven have only recently reformed. Back before the Burning Times, the witches of this coven took up male counterparts to make up for the lack of male witches. They became a rebel organization before the Apocalypse, recruiting members from all ways of life into their ranks, including those who were soulmates of different races. Witches are of all kinds, humans and born witches, and members often marry humans to make up for the lack of males.

Shifter/Human children can be born as a shapeshifter or a human with heightened senses. If the latter, the child can train himself or herself into awakening his or her shifter blood, or the shifter blood can manifest itself in the child under great emotional strain. If a half-human, half-shifter child is bit by another shifter—doesn't matter what animal—the child will become a full-blooded shifter. The original shifter blood in the child overrides the animal form of the shifter that bit him or her, so the child will be a full shifter like his or her shapeshifter parent.

Shifter/vampire children have the same deal as humans, when it comes to the shifter side of the family. As for the vampire side, the fangs just slide right out of their mouth. If a mix between these two races decides not to use his or her vampire powers and is not able to transform into an animal, he or she can live his or her life as a human without knowing it. A shifter/vampire child cannot be turned into a full-blooded shapeshifter nor "made" into a vampire. It's not possible. Just think about it. Now, as for their powers, they can't suck blood while they're in their animal forms, and they can't read minds while in their animal forms. Use one power, and the other powers are shut off, though the heightened senses are combined, so that's okay. If they choose to be one or the other, they are affected by only one of their weaknesses. Be a shifter, and silver hurts, but not wood. Be a vampire, and wood hurts, but not silver.

Shifter/witch children have the same deal as humans. I mean, the exact same deal, except that they can use magic when they are choosing their witch heritage, whether or not they can transform into an animal. If a shifter/witch is bit by another shapeshifter, he or she is a full shifter, but he or she still have magic because that is an innate power. The child is not a "witch" per say (neither is Maya, but she still uses magic despite being a witch). The child will be able to kill and cast spells, but not have the blessings of the Goddess, though he or she can still pray to the Goddess for protection. Who knows what she'll do?

Shifter/shifter children are children of mixed animal heritage. They'll be born like normal animals that are crossbred, like a lion and a tiger, a wolf and a coyote, etc. They will be like normal shapeshifters, except they aren't pureblood shifters. Silver and fire hurts them, just like they would with purebloods. Nothing's really changed.

Shifter/werewolf children just are were-shifters? They are of mixed heritage, and they can transform to any of the animals in their bloodline. I guess it's just luck of the draw. They basically are normal shifters, so silver hurts them.

Vampire/witch children have both the powers of a witch and a vampire, but they can choose to shut off the powers of their vampire side by not drinking blood. It's as simple as that. They won't be harmed by wood like a vampire if that's the case because they are choosing to be a witch, or a human if they don't know they are half-witch, half-vampire. If they choose their vampire side, they can still use magic, but not at the same time as they use their vampire powers. If they choose neither powers and live as a human, then they are human, so it doesn't bother them.

Vampire/human children can be a human or a vampire. If they are a vampire, wood hurts, but they can use their vampire powers. If they choose to be humans, they will just have heightened senses. That's all.

Witch/human children are Lost Witches if they don't know their heritage, which means they will accidentally break things if they get angry because they don't know how to control their powers. They will be harmed by iron, but any human would be if they were knocked upside the head with it. It's painful, I bet, I wouldn't know because it hasn't happened to me, but I bet it hurts. If they choose to live as a human, well, they can be a human, kill, etc, but if they kill, they have gone rogue, but then again, if they don't know they have witch powers, it doesn't really matter. However, they still will get premonitions and visions from time to time. Witches and humans basically are the same except witches are innately born with magic while humans have to train to use magic.

Weaknesses:
Each race has a weakness. These weaknesses can be used by players to make the role play more interesting. The reason behind these weaknesses are unknown for the most part, so if you're curious you just gotta accept what I'm telling you.

For humans, it's everything. We're not a very hardy race, though we make up for it by procreating rapidly.

Witches are weak against iron and fire. They'll be rendered physically weak if hit with an iron pipe, and will certainly die if burnt at the stake. Then again who wouldn't be dead after being tied up and set aflame?

What's the weaknesses of vampires? Duh-duh, duh! Wood and fire. Wood will slow down their rapid regeneration ability and kill them if it pierces their hearts. It is believed to be good luck to name you vampire child after a plant, such as a tree because it'll give them the strength of that particular plant. Sunlight only weakens their powers by a little, so it's not really a weakness. Fire kills anything...

I wonder what shapeshifters are weak against? Care to take a guess? Silver and fire? Why, yes those are what they're weak against. As stated above, fire kills anything. A shifter injured with a silver blade or anything made of silver will be weakened just as a vampire would against wood. A silver bullet or knife to the heart or head will kill them.

Powers do's and dont's:

Every single one of the species listed above have certain powers that they have at their disposal. Now, how they came about that is up to L.J. Smith to decide since she is the author of the Night World series. So, let's begin the list, shall we?

Humans have the super-duper ability to get on people's nerves, be self-serving while at the same time to be generous, kind, etc. We're all human, so we know what we're capable of in the first place.
So, because we know that, we know that humans do not have the ability to dodge speeding bullets, fight off diseases, etc without the help of outside sources (vampires, shapeshifters, witches, etc). Humans with mental disabilities are more to an advantage than normal people because the disabilities will heighten their senses, but it depends on the disability. Please, don't make one up just so you have a super-duper human.

Vampires have super speed and strength, as well as heightened senses, telepathy, mind-control, memory manipulation, regrowth of nails and hair, and the ability to suck blood by elongating their top incisors.
However, they do not have the ability to imprint on other people, that's for the ducklings in the park and small puppies. Also, they cannot see auras, but anyone can "feel" like someone has a bad aura because they give them a creepy feeling. Vampires cannot teleport from place to place, but if they are powerful enough, they can shapeshift into animals, mist, etc, which is the case for former witches that were turned into vampires.

Shapeshifters are animals that can turn into humans, not the other way around. They shapeshift regardless of the clothes they have on, but if they wear clothes made from shifters, the clothes will remain on their bodies when they turn back into a human. In their animal forms, shifters have heightened animal senses, sharper than normal animals, which is dulled when they are in human form, but their senses still are greater than a human's senses and is more or less on par with a vampire's senses.
However, shapeshifters cannot be forced to transform on a full moon, nor are they compelled to attack random people. They do not transform into the grotesque half-and-half form seen in movies. It's more like a Catwoman form. Shapeshifters on all levels do not imprint on people like the werewolves in Twilight, so don't even go in that direction.

Witches basically can cast spells, summon spirits with a proper spell, setting, and ingredients needed, they can see a vague future, they can have premonitions, break glass with their excited emotions (usually out of anger, and this happens most often with Lost Witches), make charms, etc. Basically, they are like Wiccans. Yes, they can control people with the charms they make, but it's not total control and sometimes it won't work.
However, witches cannot wipe the memories of people without a certain potion. They cannot turn people into toads or other animals. Generally, they are peaceful. Using wands is silly when they don't need them. Witches cannot control the weather by themselves, though a large enough gathering of witches using a spell can cause a storm or something like that, but not an earthquake or a tornado. No, nothing major.

Death of a Character:

Vampire death: A vampire death will occur from old age, fire, losing its head, being torn to pieces, massive blood-loss, and being staked through the heart or head with a wooden object. Regular bullets or metal stakes will have no affect other than temporarily stopping the vampire. If a vampire is killed by wood, it will dry up and become a mummy, though the older the vampire is, the more likely that they'll turn into dust. An example of this is when Maya became a pile of dust after being staked. A vampire will no just start decomposing. They will shrivel up and become a natural mummy. This process takes time with age. A young, newly made vampire or a young lamia will take days to become a mummy while older vampires will quickly dry up like a prune.

Shapeshifter and werewolf deaths: A shapeshiter or werewolf will die like a vampire because anyone will die in a fire, without a head, without blood, or a stake/bullet through their brain and/or heart. Silver is very effective against a shapeshifter or werewolf. If a shapeshifter or werewolf dies, he or she will revert back into their animal form and that's all. They do not shrivel up or turn to dust. Often enough, their bodies are taken by other shapeshifters and used to make clothing so another shifter. This way, when a shapeshifter changes forms, he or she won't be butt-naked as a human.

Witch death: Witches can die just like a human, vampire, or werewolf can die. They are moral beings like you and I. A witch is especially weak against iron, so if you hit a witch behind the head with an iron bat or something like that, she'll be knocked out for quiet some time.

Ghoul death: The rotting living-dead. Stake them or set them ablaze, then bury them in the ground and hope the smell will go away. Ghouls, as you may recall, are humans, witches, or shapeshifters that failed to successfully turn into a made vampire. When they die, they will rot away naturally because they were already rotting away in the first place.

Human death: Anything will kill a human. Humans will rot away slowly and naturally unless their bodies are frozen, chopped up and scattered throughout a forest for animals to eat, turned to ashes in a fire, or buried with limestone to accelerate the decaying process. Look up more ways to accelerate or slow down the human decaying process if you're curious because I won't look it up for you.

Symbols:

Each race has their own symbols which helps Night World citizens identify one another. The symbols are black, except for members of the Circle Daybreak. The symbols for those are black-and-white or simply white. The symbols for the Night World are flowers.
Lamia vampires have the black iris as their symbol. The petals of the iris are white, or white and black if they're members of Circle Daybreak.
Made Vampires have the black rose as their symbol. The petals of the rose are white, or white and black if they're members of Circle Daybreak.
Witches have the black dahlia and the crescent moon with three stars as their symbols. These can be white or white-and-black if the witches are members of Circle Daybreak.
Lost witches have the black violet as their flower. It will be white, or white-and-black if the lost witch is a member of Circle Daybreak.
Shapeshifters have multiple types of the lily species as their symbol depending on the animal they are. So if you are a tiger, your flower is a black tiger lily. Like the others, if a shapeshifter is a member of Circle Daybreak, his or her flower will be white or white-and-black.
Werewolves are pretty weird. They have their own flower that does not follow the other shapeshifters' flowers. Their flower is the black foxglove. The flower can be white, or black-and-white if the shapeshifter is part of Circle Daybreak.

Heights and Weights of Characters:

You should click here and here if you are having trouble deciding the height and weight of your characters. Remember to look at your characters' pictures to decide on their height. It is important that your characters are at a healthy weight unless they have eating disorders, or they are models that starve themselves to fit into clothing, which isn't very good for them. A really tall character, reaching heights of five foot six inches shouldn't be like 90 or 100 lbs. That's unrealistic, and it means your character is severely underweight and sick.

Vampires:

L.J Smith's vampires are fairly different from the traditional concept of "vampires". They even differ from vampires in the universe she created in The Vampire Diaries. In Night World, there are two types of vampires: the lamia (pronounced ''lay-me-ah'') and the "made vampires".

In the Night World books, "Lamia is the term in this series for those who are born as vampires. They age, eat, and grow as humans do, but also have the ability to stop the aging process at any point they please; however, once a lamia that has stopped aging decides to begin aging again, the aging process will be accelerated so that their physical appearance will match their true age in a short amount of time.

Made vampires are humans, witches, or shapeshifters that have been made into vampires by exchanging blood with lamia or with another made vampire. Since older persons cannot survive the physical transition, all made vampires look about age nineteen or younger. Also, unlike lamia vampires, made vampires do not age, eat and cannot reproduce.

Both lamia and made vampires have superhuman strength, speed, and agility and can have telepathic powers. Unlike vampires in other fiction, they are not harmed by sunlight (although it stops their powers from working) and cannot transform into bats (with the exception of the original vampire, Maya). Like in most vampire lore, they need human blood to survive. L.J Smith's explanation is that vampire cells are unable to carry oxygen and therefore, vampires must acquire human blood cells for them to breathe (thus making blood consumption more to do with respiration than nutrition). They are immortal, but can be killed and are vulnerable to wood and fire.

The first vampire in existence, Maya, was originally a witch. In her quest for power and immortality, she became the first vampire by the use of powerful magic involving drinking the blood of infants. Maya bore a son, Red Fern, who became the ancestor of all lamia vampires. All made vampires (the first being a boy named Thierry, who was from Maya's tribe) and lamia vampires, however, descend from Maya. As Maya is the first vampire in existence, she has many abilities her descendants do not (since their vampire blood is diluted), such as shapeshifting. She also retains her ability to perform magic. Despite the fact that the first vampire was a woman, vampires (particularly the lamia) are a very patriarchal society. There are also vampires from the Redfern family who have a greater concentration of witch blood, from a "kinship ceremony" enacted by Hunter Redfern and Maeve Harman.

The symbol for lamia vampires is unclear, although it is generally assumed to be a black iris which is also known to be the symbol for the Black Iris Club, a lamia club which is open to all denizens of the Night World.

The symbol for made vampires is the black rose, as stated in Daughters of Darkness, the second volume to the Night World series, as well as Soulmate, the sixth volume.

Witches:

Witches as depicted in the Night World series are a matriarchal society. They trace their descent to an ancient tribe ruled by Hecate Witch-Queen, and later by her daughter Hellewise Hearth-Woman. All witches are considered to be "daughters of Hellewise", although the Harman family are direct genetic descendants traced through the female line. Hellewise's sister, Maya, became the first vampire; thus all vampires are descended through Maya from Hecate, Witch-Queen.

Witch society is composed of 'Circles' to whom all witches belong. Those who take to heart Hellewise's bidding to 'harm none' belong to Circle Twilight, while Circle Midnight is made up of witches who practice darker magic. The Inner Circle is a coven of the nine most magically talented witches, who are "the witch geniuses, the prodigies and the sages, the far-seers, the teachers, the policy-makers." The most important of these are the triad of the Maiden, Mother, and Crone positions which during the events of the books are held by Aradia, Mother Cybele and Grandma Harman respectively. All witches are answerable to the Inner Circle before the Night World council.

A third renegade Circle also exists, known as Circle Daybreak, which promotes the teaching of magic to humans and peace between the races. This circle used to exist alongside the other two, but was banned due to the persecution of witches during the Burning Times. Circle Daybreak is kept secret from the rest of the Night World, although a few suspect its renewed existence. During the events leading up to the Apocalypse, the witches opt to leave the Night World and join Circle Daybreak, as they want to help save the world, whereas the Night World council, and most of the vampires, want to take over and enslave the other races.

Witches practice Magic with the aid of herbs, gemstones, effigies, and incantations, all of which may be used in a spell; they worship the Goddess in her many manifestations, celebrate Samhain, and probably other festivals on the Wheel of the Year. However, their magic is innate and does not always require external aids, although these can accentuate their power. Human psychics in the series are "lost witches" who are unaware of their true descent. Iron is mentioned of in Daughters of Darkness as the witches poison.

Identifying symbols for Night World witches are the black dahlia and the crescent moon with three stars.

The symbol for "lost witches" is a black Violet.

Werewolves:

As no main characters in any of the novels have been werewolves, less is known about this species than others. In Night World, werewolves (sometimes called wolves) can transform from human to wolf (and vice versa) at will. In Daughters of Darkness, werewolves are described as wolves that take human form, rather than the reverse. This means that they have animal instincts and urges, even in human form. This is all contrary to traditional werewolf lore where a werewolf basically is a normal person, but undergoes an involuntary transformation. Though it is not stated explicitly, it appears that, like vampires, werewolves can be born as such and also be made.

Unlike vampires, werewolves must kill every time they feed because they need to consume organs. Thus, Night World law states that werewolves can only kill and eat animals. In the Night World, werewolves are treated as second-class citizens and are the victims of prejudice and racism. As in traditional werewolf lore, Night World werewolves are harmed by silver.

The symbol for werewolves is a black foxglove.

Shapeshifters:

Shapeshifters make their appearance very late in the series. No main character is a shapeshifter until the ninth book, Witchlight. Before that, only allusions to shapeshifters are made, usually in the context of a Night Person explaining the Night World to a human and listing the Night World species. In Witchlight, the protagonist, Keller, is a shapeshifter. She has the ability to change into the form of a panther at will.

Some history about shapeshifters is given in the novel: Shapeshifters had control of the world long before witches and vampires. Their leaders were known as "Dragons", beings that could change into the form of ''any'' animal as long as they have had physical contact to that animal. (Normally shapeshifters can only change into one predetermined animal form.) The witches rose to power and put the dragons to sleep, except for the smallest one, which was the little four-year-old princess of the dragons. The witches raised her to be gentle and kind, so that her descendants would not do as the other dragons did. She is the ancestor of the ruling house of shapeshifters, the House of Drache. The descendants of this dragon have the ability to choose what animal they will become, but this choice is permanent.

In the early books of the series, werewolves and shapeshifters are described as separate groups or races of the Night World. For example, in Daughters of Darkness, Night World is described as comprising vampires, "witches and werewolves and shapeshifters, too". Though never explicitly stated, the later books tend to treat werewolves as a ''subset'' of shapeshifters. In Witchlight, when Keller tells the history of shapeshifters, she lists felines, bears, eagles, and wolves as groups or clans within the shapeshifter race. The description of both werewolves and shapeshifters as second-class citizens also supports the notion that werewolves are a subset, or one family of shapeshifters. However, in Witchlight there is no real mention of Keller feeding or abiding by the rules for werewolves described in Daughters of Darkness, but, then again, she is a Circle Daybreak shapeshifter.

Shapeshifters are harmed by silver just like werewolves.

The symbol for shapeshifters is a black lily.

Shapeshifters ruled in the 1st Age until the witches took over in a war. They are Descended from dragons, who will look like a normal human except for their black eyes and can change into any animal or human form they touch. Dragons get their power from their horns on their head and the only way to kill a dragon is to cut their horns off.

Shapeshifter Last Names:

Shapeshifter last names generally are the animals the shapeshifters turn into, in the respective country of origin the shapeshifter's from. So, a bear from Russia would have a Russian last name that means bear.

The werewolf last name Lovette comes from the Old English name Lovell, which comes from Old French, meaning "little wolf", "little wolf cub", etc. It means wolf, so that's a good example.

If the parents of a shapeshifter are unknown, as well as the ethnic origins of that child, a name will be given to the child, sometimes disregarding the last name meaning.

The last names of lambia vampires will be plants, animals, stones, anything related to nature because of the vampire belief that naming their children after the things that can hurt them will give them the strong properties of those said things.

As for made vampires, they can have any last names because they were not born as vampires. So, they can be Smith, Williams, Martin, Cruz, etc. They really have no limit, and made vampires can always change their names to suit their fancy.

For more Night World names refer to the Maya/Hellewise family tree. Also known as Hecate's Family tree

Sorry about the resolution, I am trying to find a way to sharpen the image without blurring.

Spells:

1) To help speed recovery from an illness, write the sick person's name on a white human shaped candle of the correct gender. As you anoint it with 3 drops of myrrh or mint oil, visualize healing energy in the form of white light flowing from your hands and into the candle. Recite:

"In the divine name of the Goddess who breathes life into us all, I consecrate and charge this candle as a magical tool for healing."

Place the candle on top of a photograph of the sick person and then light the wick. As the candle burns down, focus on the person in the photograph, willing him/her to be well again. Then recite:

"Magick mend and candle burn,
Sickness end, good health return."

Continue to focus and recite until the candle burns out on it's own. (At this point I suggest taking the remains of the candle, wrapping it in clean white cotton and burying it outside, thereby burying the sickness.)

2)
Items Needed:
Three blue candles
Utensil to inscribe candles
Form a triangle with the three candles, a bit apart from one another.
Inscribe the name of the person you plan to heal on the candles.
Light the candles and concentrate on peace, health, and positive energy.
Recite the following incantation while looking at the candle flame:

Healing light, shining bright,
Let this sickness flee in fright!
With harm to none including me,
I cast this spell, so mote it be."

Repeat this incantation three times. Once you've finished, let the candles burn out while you meditate. Visualize seeing the person as healthy, happy, and whole.

Vengeance: You will need the following items for this spell:
------------------------Six unused black candles
------------------------Six nails
------------------------Six needles
------------------------Six pins/tacks
------------------------Two pieces of paper
------------------------Black pen/marker
------------------------Lighter/matches
------------------------OPTIONAL:
------------------------Six black pouches

Draw a six pointed star on one of the pieces of paper. It will turn out to look like David's star, but it's not.

Now take the candles and put one at each point of the star, and do the same with the nails, needles, and pins/tacks. Rip a small part of the second paper off and write the person's name you wish to curse on it. It's best if you have first, last, and (if he or she has one) his/her middle name written down, this way it will be more effective.

Light the candles in a counterclockwise motion. Make sure you know which candle you lighted first, you will need to know this for the rest of the spell.

Take the paper with the person's name on it and burn a portion of it in the first candle you lighted, then burn another portion in the second candle you lighted, proceed to the third one you lit, and so on. While doing this, say the following aloud, picturing them in your mind.

"By Demons and Angels,
By Gods and Goddesses,
I curse ________,
As a punishment for all the hardships he / she has put me through.
This black curse,
This black power,
I curse thee."

Only say the above chant once, otherwise it won't work.

By the time you get to the sixth and last candle, the whole paper should be burnt to ashes.

Blow out the candles in the reverse order in which you lighted them, saying, "So mote it be!" when the first candle you lighted has been blown out.

SIMPLE VENGEANCE: Focus Upon Your Enemy And Chant:
"I have an enemy
whose made me mad
make them shrivel
and die like flowers
being strangled by weeds
may they suffer till death
Spare Them Not
Thank You Goddess Of Death."

Common schoolgirl spells: Good grades.
"On this test I take today,
I will receive no less than A.
Earth, wind, fire, and sea
As I Say, So Mote It Be!"

TO GIVE MORE ENERGY TO THE SPELLS:
"Ancient one of the ancient Earth,
Older than time can tell,
Grant me the power at your command
To charge my magic spell."
