The Day i ran away from home and met "the dark side."

Darien eyes narrowed at Simon, he did not want this stranger analyzing his shapeshifting. "Yes but no...me and Katherine are different when it comes to our shapeshifting..." he sighed, not alaborating any further...he didn't even bring io the comment about his smooth shapeshifting. He soon eyed his hand, his teeth clenched in irritation but he shook the man's hand, "Sola can handle herself just fine..." he huffed, if anything he felt he owed Sola. His gaze soon flicked to the exit, "we should probably check on your friends that I glued to the wall." He sighed. "He shouldn't hurt them to bad but he makes some rather frightening sounds..." he scowled. He...who was he? Darien soon hopped off of the bookcase, he soon even offered his arm for Sola.

Darien's grip showed Simon how unwanted he was by this man. Sorry to disappoint, but as long as I know Sola is alive you won't get rid of me so easily. he said with his handshake. Following Darien's gaze to the exit that had been on Simon's mind, he was relieved Darien brought up his comrades. The part about "he" hurting them badly was a bit discomforting.
Sola gladly took Darien's arm to get down. Once on the ground and close to Darien she said, "Be nice." Just loud enough for him to hear.

Darien let out a sigh, "very well Sola..." he frowned softly. The man did not like new people, Katherine's case was different for reasons he would probably never elaborate...but she reminded him of his past, that was why he would give Simon a chance. "I'll get used to his smell soon enough..." he sighed. The young man soon left the library and headed for where Simon's comrades were. Simon's comrades were scattered everywhere, some stuck to the ceiling...some ti the wall but what was the same for all of them was the black goop that held them hostage to the walls. The black mess stirred when they entered, a hiss coming from it. "Sh!" Darien commanded with narrowed eyes, the goop let out a low rumble before quieting...though they still moved strangely.

Katherine walked to the library after she ran from Lilianne. What was going on?! Mom died! I saw Charlie kill her! Katherine held her head in conflict.

Looking at the writhing black goop made Sola's stomach flip. Darien could do this much damage in his other form....but at least he knew friend from foe. When the goop stood stationary as though they were soldiers in front of their commander, Sola felt relieved. Darien could control this thing.
Simon looked at his comrades, every one of them struggling and squirming under a black mass. The sight made him sick. This was Darien's capabilities...it frightened Simon. Sola had to deal with this, he glanced over at her impassive expression. He couldn't tell what was going through her mind. "Simon!" he heard one of his comrades say. Simon ran over to him and tried calming him down, but the wild eyes the man had couldn't be tamed. He squirmed like a mouse underneath a cat's paw. Simon couldn't bare this much longer. "Darien, can you get them out?" Simon asked, not taking his eyes off his desperate comrade.

Darien eyed the goop, he did not have the same feelings as his friend...but that was because he was used to it. He frowned deeply at Simon's request, at least the man hadn't commanded him to. His gaze flicked to Sola, as if he needed her help to decide whether or not to do that. A long sigh escaped him, he supposed if Sola trusted Simon he could do this...and if anything went wrong he could just kill them all. Darien didn't usually think like that so swiftly...but "he" was still swimming at the surface of his mind. "Very well..." he scowled. Darien slowly raised his arms, as if something was trying to hold them down, a low growl came from him and his arms and hands began to shake. "Release!" He commanded. The black goop let out a frightening screech, the black mess transformed into a thick hissing mist, the mustiness rather overwhelming to anyone nearby...luckily it was harmless. Simon's comrades soon drop to the ground, how they landed was not of Darien's concern. "There..." the shapeshifter sighed.

Now the problem is that they could attack us...if they're dumb enough to anyway. Sola thought as she looked warily around at the men who almost killed her. The desire for payback was making Sola antsy; her hand moved slowly towards her sheath. But a look from Simon made her arm freeze, these were his comrades now she couldn't harm them. Even if they were complete asses.
Simon held his gaze on Sola for a while, he knew she would get a bit hot-headed after what his crew almost did to her. Only taking his eyes off of her when he had to dodge a fist aimed for the side of his head. He responded to this by drawing out a gun from its hidden holster. "That was a bit reckless." Simon pointed out, his gun aiming for the attacker's head. He saw Sola jerk forward from the corner of his eye. He looked over at her and nodded, he would be fine, she backed up.
"You said you would deal with that chick, and now you brought the thing that attacked us." the man said, looking warily at Darien and Sola, then at the gun. His eyes still dangerous.
"It seems as though we were mistaken." Simon started off his lie, lowering his gun and concealing it once more. "It turns out these two were the ones who rescued our dear Miss Katherine and brought her back to us. She persuaded them to stay and watch over her," the men's faces all wore disapproval at the fact Katherine asked two outsiders to be by her side, Simon continued, "so they are Miss Katherine's personal security. The alarm we heard was just Madame Juliette overreacting at two new faces. It was a false alarm and I believe Madame Juliette is deeply sorry for the confusion." The men seemed to believe it, their murmurs of "waste my time..." and "i better get paid..." reassured Simon so far. But they still glared at Darien. "As for what he did to you, I believe it is an appropriate action for someone who had their partner captured. Wouldn't you do the same for anyone else in this room?" Now he had them, the lie had gotten through, their faces looked ashamed and pitiful now. "I say you guys deserve to go home, I'll take them to the Master and also make sure you fellows get compensation for the time you put into this." With that, the men shrugged at each other and thought that was enough. They left through the back, the only side of the house they were allowed to enter through. When they left Simon let out a sigh, "Good thing they're more brawn than brains, or we'd be here longer."

Katherine moved upstairs, finding her room."Ugh I hate this confusion."

Juliette walked into Katherine's room."Don't worry dear, I took care of Lilianne. Now are there other people with you? Where did they go? I need to protect you Katherine." She rubbed Katherine's back gently."Unless you want them here."

Katherine jumped up and turned into a mouse then changed back."Mom! W-what are you doin here? Why are you alive? I saw Charlie kill you!" She freaked out.

Darien grumbled and simply shook his head as the men left them. A long sigh escaped him, "well if they hadn't, I wouldn't have exactly let them attack us again." he scowled with a narrowed gaze on the exit. Darien could still feel the tainted whispers swirling around in his head...they wanted him to let go again...luckily he had his sanity back. It would be so easy to just let go like the first time he had been possessed, but Sola was his most trusted partner, he couldn't let her get hurt when he became feral. Darien cleared his throat, "it's time to set up base." he said, a smile returning to his face. The young man glanced to Sola," I count 8 on me, how many hits did you endure?" he asked, bringing back their wager.

Sola smiled at Darien and slowly held up her fist, uncurling one finger at a time until all five fingers were up. "Game set," she said putting her hand down. Now the extra room and first choice was hers, it felt nice winning. Being able to enjoy something after this tragic turn of events was all together pleasant. Now only one thing needed to be known, "Is Katherine still with her sister, Darien?"
Simon's eyes widened at Sola's question. Katherine and Lilianne were in the same room? That wasn't good, Lilianne's hatred for her sister was too strong to be able to be kept under control. Plus she was not as ditsy as Katherine either. Though they are twins, there was never a bond to begin with. Simon grew worried, "We need to check if Miss Katherine is okay. Miss Lilianne isn't very hospitable towards her sister."

Darien stuck his tongue out at Sola once it was decided she had won, luckily he was not a sore loser, he enjoyed his bets with Sola. He frowned softly as his attention was brought back to the Katherine situation, he had been wary to leave her in the first place. "Katherine has been in our group the longest...if Lilianne has hurt her," he growled, "there will be pain to suffer." he hissed, a bubbly sensation playing angrily at his stomach. Darien let out a huff and transformed into a wolf, though this one was a normal wolf, and this transformation was split second quick, unlike the demonic wolf one had been. "Let's hurry." he growled and sniffed at the ground, the k-9 heading off on Katherine's scent.

Lilianne burst into Katherine's room and groaned."Mother! THAT HURT!" She growled, her leg regenerating in splotchy, bloody patterns.

Juliette shot up."Katherine, go find your teammates, and grab your father's shotgun from his study." She held down Lilianne and stuck another tranquilizer bullet into her healing leg.

Katherine ran down the hall to her father's study and too the shotgun off the wall. She took some bullets from his desk and ran downstairs."DARIEN, SOLA? CHARLIE?" She called out, looking for a response.
