Reaching up, Ka'all caught her leg, throwing it to the side causing her elbow strike to be off balance scoring only a glancing strike. Fighting in such close quarters was always a thrill, adrenaline coursing through his veins heightening his senses. Time seemed to slow as the two Je'daii battled hand-to-hand, neither really gaining much ground. Ka'all could see each individual drop of sweat sliding down Elyria's slender neck as she fought with heart. There were many reasons she was his favorite student, a few of which he would dare not voice. She was the perfect picture of grace through the balanced dance of combat as he blocked or dodged blow after blow trying to land his own attacks. She had definitely improved from their last sparring match.

Thinking he could end the match with a single strike, Ka'all lept back to gain the room he needed to set off a force repulse.

Elyria jumped back quickly - shocked - was he trying to kill her? What had started out as a simple sparring match had suddenly turned deadly - if his attack had hit her she could've been disintegrated. Regaining her focus, Elyria knew she had to try and end this match quickly. Using force stasis she attempted to put Master Endar into a catatonic state and then knock him out quickly with a blow to the back of his neck

Ka'all nearly laughed at the sudden fearful look in Elyria's eyes at him setting up a force repulse. "You should know better, my dear," he said with a sly smile, "As Temple Master I have the ability to fine tune my attacks so that I don't unintentionally release my full power during a sparring match. You are in no mortal danger, just a few scrapes and burns."

Master Endar saw the feeble attempt at a stasis she was about to launch at him and used his force augmented speed to run out of the way, ending up behind her. Knowing her Je'daii powers would allow her to see him behind her, he was already forming a force stasis of his own.

"I know what you taught me Master, . . Never underestimate your opponent!" Putting up a force barrier to block his attack she spun around so she now was behind him, quickly trying to act before he had time to pull back his stasis and respond she again began the quick short attacks with her light saber blocking any fragments of his statis that remained. As always she was amazed at the speed and stamina he displayed at twice her age. His lean muscular frame glistening with perspiration, belied the long grey locks he wore. Finishing her parry with a blast of force lightening, she backflipped towards the other end of the room to avoid his counter moves

"Hnh."
That was all Esuritio uttered as he swiftly cut down a Knight.
His knuckles were white as his continuously tightened his grip on his saber hilt.
"Is anybody else loyal to your failed Master? Would anybody else like to share the same fate as Ren? Well? STEP FORWARD!"

Two more Knights, enraged at the death of Atana Ren leapt forward, the snap hiss of their sabers cut short as Esuritio held them helplessly in the air with the Force.

"Observe, young Knights. This is how your master died. Any more people who wish to exercise their feeble skills to avenge Ren's death, will get everyone killed."

With that, he clenched his fist and crushed the skeletons of the pair who charged him and let their corpses drop to the floor.
The Knights stepped back and a few at a time and bowed before him.
A slight smile crept across his face.
"Good. I'd hate to have to search for more loyal Knights."

Deflecting the lightning blast with his saber, Ka'all smiled. This was turning out to be quite the training session, Elyria's skills had become quite advanced. Ka'all decided that this match could not be decided by their knowledge of force powers, but possibly he could best her swordsmanship abilities. With a quick salute of his saber, he attacked with a flurry of strikes meant to disarm and incapacitate.

Elyria matched his strikes blow for blow. She then began her own series of attacks - again in the Ataru style she began with swift short strikes - waist, legs, torso, shoulders - again and again spinning behind him and then back to the front (Did this man never tire?)

Drawing on the Force, Ka'all was able to push his muscles past the point at which they would have given out on their own. Focusing his power in such a way did take from his ability to throw force-related attacks at her, but the speed and agility gained in sword fighting more than made up for the hindrance. Thinking he could end it by pulling her off balance, Master Endar used a weak force grip on the handle of her saber while spinning into a leg sweep to be followed quickly by a fluid downward strike.

Feeling the force grip holding her lightsaber, Elyria used it to her advantage. In one fluid motion, she leaned on it for leverage and was able to lift herself up and avoid the leg sweep while also twisting her body out of the way of his downward stroke. At the same time she used the force to lift and throw her Master as she landed light as a cat on her feet

Ka'all came up on his feet after being thrown back from the force with no apparent damage. With a spinning roundhouse, Master Endar summoned his own force push through the bottom of his foot as it swept by her to be quickly followed through with a lightsaber strike, using his momentum in case she was able to dodge the surprising attack from his foot.

Caught off guard by his quick recovery, Elyria wasn't prepared for a force push from his foot. It hit her squarely in her abdomen, knocking the wind out of her. As she bent over his lightsaber crashed into her back singeing what was left of her ghi as the fabric burnt blistering her skin. Drawing on whatever force she had left, Elyria drew herself up, bowing unsteadily to Master Endar

"The match is yours - it has been an honor"

Sensing Master Pentar nearby gave her some reassurance of recovery as she felt herself crumble in a heap on the training room floor.

As Master Pentar was slowly making his way to the training room, he felt one's force signature diminish so he hurried and pushed open the door only to see his fellow master standing over Elyra, "What happened here? What did you do, Ka'all?" He asked as he went over to the unconscious Elyra to see how bad her injuries were.

Canis tstood in a secluded area of the temple, allowing his mind to practically empty. It was a simple calming technique but would be ineffective in actual combat, something that he would have to learn. Around him hovered 6 training spheres, a couple more than what he could easily handle, but if he only did easy stuff, he would never get better. Relaxing he allowed the force to fill him... well fill wasn’t the right word. The force is always the same amount, what changed was the amount that he listened to it. Once he determinded that there were no other near by, he activated his lightsaber to see the arctic blade the spheres started to move all round. He was about to focus on them when he grinned slightly. He had almost failed the training he sought before even truly beginning.

Leaving his eyes open, but not focusing on anything, Canis allowed the force the force... still, that’s not right. Canis listened to the suggestions that flowed from the force into his body to start rapidly blocking blasterbolts. Canis’ objective was to become a master at the form of defense, and this is just one of the little steps that was needed. Canis was doing well at deflecting the bolts for some time, until all six decided to fire at once. At first Canis thought that he was going to have to move almost as quick lightning to bock all, as they were from different sides. As he went to deflect the first the force warned him and suggested to just move out of the way of all six. Of corse Canis listened and was able to evade the bolts. ‘Mental lesson, it can’t hit you if your not there.’ He thought as he side stepped and attacked. He made contact exactly where he wanted, but instead of the sphere slicing in half, it just fell from the sky. ”Power lever setters save so much money.” He paused for a moment to say and chuckle...

Well, Canis half chuckled before the other five spheres took the moment of opportunity to strike. ”Training off!” He grunted through his teeth as the sting of three low powered bolts hit him in vital areas. Deactivating his lightsaber he sighed and collected everything before he headed back inside the temple. ”I wonder if I can get my hands on a speeder soon.’ He said lightly to himself as he finished placing the training equipment back.

Living Quarters

Elyria awoke - disoriented until she realized she was back in her own room. She placed her hands gently on her abdomen feeling the sore spot where Master Endar had landed that crushing kick. her ribs were bruised - not broken. Good. She felt the color rise to her her face as she realized she was.....but how? and even worse who? . . . her training ghi had been a mess, torn, burnt but still. ....Closing her eyes, shaking her head - well it's a done deal she thought - hope they got a good look as she laughed softly to herself.

Her burns didn't seem to bother her much. She had heard Master Pentar's voice as she had slipped into the darkness. he must've healed them. I'll have to thank him later.

The training had been intense, the sparring with Master Endar had started out as exhilarating, but suddenly it changed. It grew more serious. And tho' she knew she had fought well, she also realized she had to train harder in order to weather the blows she received. She knew her small frame played a part, but as a Je'daii Master she also knew she needed to grow stronger.

She was restless, uneasy, too much training and meditation had made her long for some adventure away from study and the peaceful Je'daii existence on Tython.
She contemplated her surroundings. Simple and austere as were all the Je'daii buildings. Supposed to foster contemplation and deter distraction, Elyria found it dull and lifeless. She longed for color, flowers, art - anything to make the place warm, welcoming - a little too tranquil for her tastes. She sat up holding the covers to her chest and reached into her bed-stand drawer.
There she kept her prized possession - all that remained of her prior life except for a few precious memories - her mother's locket. Taken from her lifeless body and given to the child she had been when first brought here by the Je'daii.
Opening it, she looked at the fading pictures inside. One of her father - strong, handsome, red hair like her own, possessing a calm and gentle smile, so much like Master Ka'all's. the other picture was of the three of them - so happy - so long ago. Succumbing to the art of Flash Burn when first brought to the Temple, Elyria could not clearly recall the actual murder of her parents, but many a night she would wake up in a cold sweat screaming.
She longed to go back to her home planet of Kahlimar - just to see it. A bustling metropolis - she could barely remember the towering spires of the great city. Her family had a modest home in a smaller settlement, but often traveled into the city. Perhaps going back would help her find some peace. (Maybe she could even bring back something fun to liven up this room!) She would have to approach Master Endar . . ..Placing the locket back in the drawer, Elyria removed the clasp from her hair and gently finger combed out the long braid she typically wore when training.
Throwing back the covers, she climbed out of bed and walked (a little stiffly) to the cleansing room. Climbing into the shower she let the hot water flow over her, coursing down her slender, taut body. Washing away her tiredness it was like gentle fingers easing out the aches and pains as the rivulets traveled down her curves to the drain below. She languished in the steamy shower for a moment before she began the actual ritual of cleansing.
Turning off the tap as she grabbed a towel from the nearby rack, she toweled herself off and began to dress.

"The match is yours - it has been an honor"

"No, my dear, the honor is...." his voice trailed off as she crumpled to the floor. The training battle had been intense, but nothing worse than what they had done in the past, so her slipping into unconsciousness surprised him.

"What happened here? What did you do, Ka'all?"

Looking up, Master Endar saw the Ithorian Je'daii Master Pentar rush in. "I'm not exactly sure. We were sparring when I hit her with a force push and a tag from my training saber when she went down. There could be a previous underlying injury I was unaware of when we began our session," replied the Temple Master with concern, "Please help me get her to Mahara Kesh. They have the best examination equipment on the planet."
