Mandalore - The Tomb of Lockheart
"You damn droid, let me into the burial chamber!"
"I cannot comply with that order."
Why won't you listen to me?! Let me into the blasted chamber!"
"Only Master Stone is allowed in, there are no exceptions. You have access to the library and the trophy room. The armory and the burial chamber are to remain sealed."
Connor just about had it with the droids here. He wasn't sure why he was given such a post by the Council, but he hated everything about it. The droids creeped him out, there movements seeming too organic to him. Plus they had a nasty habit of just appearing out of nowhere behind him. Sometimes when he wasn't watching them, they would disappear without a trace. Connor assumed that they went into the maintenance tunnels that he read about in the initial report about the place, but he could not find any door or any indication as to where the doors were. He had spent days trying to find one of the many doors, but to no avail. The worst part was that the droids acted like they were 'living beings' and were at times arrogant and fairly stubborn with him.
The argument could be heard on the other side of the blast door. This was an argument that happened often between the research team and the droids. They had once tried to aggressively gain access, but it was met with appropriate force on the droids part.
Mandalore - Other side of the Blast Door
"You know, this post was at one point exciting. Now I am just waiting for the people to replace us to arrive."
"You said it, I had just about had it with this place. I thought we would be using this place as like a forward outpost, but we haven't even begun doing anything of that sort here. I just don't know what the council is doing anymore."
James and Mithandrew were part of the guard for the science team. Trained as Jed'aii, they were tasked with protecting the science team from danger. Though they learned quickly that there post was more of an honorary one as nothing hasn't actually happened since they were posted here a year ago. The only reason why they weren't inside the facility was because, as far as they were aware, there was only one entrance to the entire facility.
They were supposed to be replaced about a month ago so they could return back to base. But for whatever reason it hasn't arrived, they had tried to contact the council about what had happened to them. But the communicator that they had brought with them seems to have disappeared shortly after they had received the transmission that they would be replaced. Mithandrew blamed the droids as a number of the things they brought with them seems to have disappeared without a trace. Connor believes the droids are using the things they take from them to make something, but he isn't sure what. James was just upset that without the communicator, they had no way of trying to figure out what is happening to the people that was coming to replace him.

Mandalore - The Tomb of Lockheart
A'kire would listen carefully to the exchange, formulating ideas of how to possibly gain entrance. This seemed like a place that jedi would be sent to protect, so with any logical reasoning, there would be cycles of varying jedi who would fufil the rotations, so that the current guardians of this temple would not become overly exhausted. Motioning for Omega to follow her lead and to put down his weapons unless in a dire situation, the twi'lek would step forward, slowly advancing down the long stairwell, a plan formulating in her mind about how to best get inside the temple.
"Greetings. I am surprised that I managed to find this location. It is well hidden upon such a barren surface. My name is Ayari Kor'tann. I was sent on a mission from the main temple on Tython to act as a replacement for the current je'daii guarding this sacred place. I apologize that my arrival did not happen sooner. There was much debate with Master Stone about who would be sent to this location."
A'kire gave a soft smile and a bow, only knowing this 'master stone' from the angered yelling audible from the other side of the large blast door. She would look at the two males before her, her eyes soft and expression calm. She would gaze over the two, knowing that killing them outright would be a complete waste and would only prove to imede her progress. However, the voice she would hear exclaiming anger from within....he might be of use.
"It's an honor to have been chose by Master Stone herself. This is an important task as I've learned and I want to do as best as I can to protect this chamber. Is the mission leader about? I'm sure they will be pleased to know that the next round of replacements have arrived."

Mandalore - The Tomb of Lockheart
"I've had it with all you blasted droids!" Conner yelled at the droid before he turned around. At the far side of the room was a bag of sorts. He walked over to it and began to fish around inside of it. He mumbled something along the lines of "Where is that damn flask?" It took him a minute or two to actually find it as the bag contained other things, but Connor paid them little note.
Eventually he found the flask and he unscrewed the cap and took a deep drink of its contents. When he was finished he turned around to where the droid should have been, but it was gone. "Blasted droids, one of these days I swear I am going to scrap the lot of you." He said before taking a seat right by the bag that he pulled the flask out of.
Mandalore - Other side of the Blast Door
"Oh thank heavens, someone has finally come to replace us!" James got on his knees and looked up towards the ceiling as if he was thanking some deity.
Mithandrew, unlike his star struck partner seemed a tad suspicious to this pair that suddenly showed up. But unlike James, he was more versed in the military protocol and he knew that a month without check ins warranted a investigation, not a late rotation. Still, he was willing to play pretend until the CO came back. He placed two fingers onto his ear piece as if he was trying to communicate with someone. A kind of test as if she read the mission briefing, she would know that communication using short wave communicators didn't work in this tomb. He pretended to contact the CO and said somebody came about the rotation, he nodded a few times and then said understood before taking his fingers off the ear piece.
"The CO is busy at the moment, but he has authorized me to go through the checks before the rotation. I assume you have been briefed on why are we here then Ayari Kor'tann?"

Mandalore - Tomb of Lockheart
Does this idiot really expect me to believe that a pathetic short wave radio would work on a place like this? We're so far underground that the signal would be so garbled. Any incoming or outgoing message would be reduced to noise. He's trying to outsmart me, but he's not going to win. I may not know exactly everything that goes on here, but I know enough to be competent about when trying to psyche somebody out will actually be a legitimate strategy. Poor jedi..I should kill him first for trying to make me out to be a fool.
"I understand you're trying to make sure I am who I am, but I must say your test is flawed, my friend. For instance I heard zero noise coming from your communicator, and being on a planet such as this one, and being so far down, the communications would become so garbed and static-y that the only way to even attempt to get anything meaningful would be to have your headset up on the highest volume, and even then the heaviness of the door and us being so far underground would warrant them useless anyways. Two, even if the CO wasn't busy as you claim him to be, he would most likely want to greet me personally seeing as he is the one in charge here. While I do not know your own personal achievements, I myself wouldn't trust the checking of stranger to those with less authority. If I myself was in charge here I would want to see firsthand all that goes on."
The twi'lek gave a soft smile, her past with the sith and various training exercises as well as outings gave her enough knowledge on how communicators worked well enough to see straight through this je;daii's tricks. He would be the first to be killed, this was now certain. Omega would have a new job to do later on, but that was to be done far, far away from the tomb entrance - where the bodies would not be found anytime soon.
"But to answer your question, yes I was fully briefed. This is the tomb that belongs to the Lockheart family. I....understand there is some turmoil between his family and Master Stone, but I will keep myself out of this seemingly personal affair, and let my mind focus on the task at hand - guarding the entrance from anyone except those who have been given access."

Mandalore - Other side of the Blast Door
James got a strange look in his eye as he began to stand back up. Mithandrew felt that something was off about this women, and he was starting to feel it was well. How did she who’s tomb this was? That information, while privy to the scientists, they did not learn until a few weeks after they had been stationed here. And she seemed to take the whole thing a bit too seriously, it was either that was just her personality or she was improvising in an attempt to trick them. In either case, he was willing to see where this went and not create any issues.
“Look, there isn’t a lot of time to explain things to you. But to make it short, our shortwave communicators go directly to a long range one in there.” James said point a thumb in the direction of the blast door. “Its not our job to understand how or why it works, it just does. The CO went to the closest city to pick up some things that we need. Sadly it’s a 2 day trip by speeder, he should be back today. When? We don’t know, he just will. The transport that brought you here should also have supplies that we should get before any sandstorms come. Because they will trap us down here and keep them grounded until it passes. And sometimes they don’t pass for many days.”
“James is right about that, but I am rather curious about something. How do you happen to know the who’s tomb this is? Even we did not know and we are closer to Master Stone than you are.”
