Coruscant - Council Chambers
Fate of an Empire
Esuritio smiled antagonistically at his words. Tracing his finger in circles across his knee, he locked his gaze directly on Locolvictum, his eyes staring directly into his.
"You cannot be so idiotic as to believe I would arrive here, alone, without a 'card', as you say. I do not need such deluded assumptions to be made about me, especially while you sit there, thinking you are safe within your cradle of power."
Flexing his fingers, his gaze unflinching, he continued.
"I am here because I felt the death of Rahl. It rippled throughout the Force. To have my right taken from me, to bring about that event with my own hand, is frankly sickening. I have spent my time in the heart of our culture and now I have returned."
Still not blinking, or shifting his field of view from the man across the room, he rapped his fingers across his knee and finished what he was saying.
"Your fleet is aiming it's turbolasers at one of many ships present, it is not alone. Believe me when I tell you this will be a stalemate battle in terms of who has the most ships, or weapons. This comes down to what your intentions with the remnants of this Empire. I insist you don't bring this to conflict with sheer arrogance. So... I am here, ultimately because I felt the death of Rahl before it was his time to pass. I am also here because I have felt the repercussions of such a ridiculous, poorly executed takeover of power. You may have your followers, but you have set a much larger portion of meticulously planned events into disarray. For what? Believe me... The Je'daii will have felt and seen such a thing. It's weakened the position of this Empire."
