Introduction Story
"Long ago, the world of Ionis was a peaceful place that lived in prosperity and equality. There were four kingdoms on Ionis: Aera, the Floating Islands; Boron, the Underwater Utupia; Catera, the Underground City; and DeVa, the Desert Oasis. The great tree known as the Sephiroth Tree, surrounded by the great lake Ion Lake, supplied the world with mana, which was the source of life. Everything was peaceful for millions of years. Until the day the Breaking War broke out. The war caused Ion Lake to become dirty would blood. Since it was the Sephiroth Tree's source of water, the tree eventually became dark and twisted, and finally, it withered away. Upon the Sephiroth Tree's withering, Ion Lake dried up, the world entered a time of pain and regret. The world's twenty-six Guardian Dieties, the thirteen Eons and the thirteen Spirits, grieved over the loss of the Sephiroth Tree and Ion Lake.
Out of anger, the Guardian Dieties went berserk, and the High Priestess's life was sacrificed in order to calm them. Grieving over her loss, the current rulers of the four kingdoms fell victim to death's influence. They left the Guardian Dieties with an edict: "You must awaken the High Priestess. For is she should sleep, Ionis will be destroyed." The Guardian Dieties bore the Priestess, who headed towards the dead remains of the Sephiroth Tree and Ion Lake. And, that marked the beginning of the regeneration of the world."

For hundreds of years, the Priestess has embarked on her journey to awaken the High Priestess. But, many have failed. Those who have succeeded in their journey have never been seen again, but the Sephiroth Tree and Ion Lake are revived for only a few short hundred years. Now, an organization called the Vanguard have appeared, and have been killing any Priestess before her journey is ended....
