A military base on the border of North Carolina and Virginia. The base was recently renovated by the Red Barons to act as their base of operations. Its distance from the capital has kept it under the radar of the Brotherhood, and the Red Barons have taken great steps to reinforce it in case of a Brotherhood attack. Due to the paranoia the Red Barons have for wastelanders any unauthorized personnel seen within a half a mile of the base will be shot on sight.

Eyes blurry as the light penetrates through the thin sheet used as a covering even in a secured room you could still feel uncomfortable even inside a secure compound.Sarah wiped away the sleep with her left hand and set her right on her .32.
"Yup still here" she noted real quick,she then proceeded to get dressed smiling at her armor before adorning it proud to wear the Red Baron symbol.
After fully outfitting herself,she waltz out the door locking the door behind her.Sarah proceeded through the
compound saluting and greeting other barons on the way.Once through the double doors she stretched out her arms and breathed in the cool morning air."It's a great day"

Lieutenant Anders walked up from behind Sarah. He didn't salute her, nor did he expect to be saluted back, his job demanded subtlety and stealth so he had long forgone the more ceremonial aspects of Red Baron's code. Of course any other soldier would be reprimanded for such behavior, but Lieutenant Anders was not just any other soldier. Unlike Sarah, Anders had been up several hours before the sun even touched the horizon. Yet he wasn't fatigued, he was used to it. He glanced over at his subordinate, his helmet making it impossible to guess what he might have been thinking. "Corporal Keyes, your coming with me today. Intelligence discovered a former civ settlement called Arefu, apparently brotherhood razed the place, but the nearby train tunnels show signs of former inhabitance, entrance is caved in, but the rest of the tunnel's destruction hasn't been confirmed. If it is intact that's a whole settlements worth of supplies that's gone untouched by scavengers. We're to head out and see if we can find a means of entry." He said repeating the orders he had received earlier. It was an odd pairing considering the gap in their ranks, but the Barons were short handed, and they figured if they had Anders on the job it would make up for the lack of additional squad members. "you've got five minutes, met me up top" he said heading up to the small cliff by the fort to scan the area for anything out of the ordinary.

Sarah nodded not knowing any formal way to address her comrade,
She moved around the compound grabbing armaments and items of need. all the while her gaze not leaving the strange lieutenant,Who was he,Why only us two paired up?,and now that i mention it ive never seen him with his mask off.
Sarah knew there were men like this in the Red barons but for one of her rank to be paired with one was just odd."Alright im good to go Sir"
She noted as she came up along side him staring out into the vast wasteland a inhospitible place that harbored more evil then good. "So are we to inspect the tunnels as well?"
Sarah asked without putting her eyez on him,Since the Brotherhood had long abandoned clearing out tunnels and the railways ghouls have multiplied and taken residence inside,
Even two Red barons could not last long against a horde of ferals alone.

Anders brought his binoculars down, but didn't look back up at his subordinate. "not anymore than we have to. The collapsed entrance means there probably isn't an access point through the tunnels, which also means most likely the zombies haven't had the chance to spread there" He put the binoculars away and slung his rifle over his shoulder. "allright then we're moving out, estimated travel time is 2 hours, so hope we don't have to stop for anything" he said sliding down the side of the cliff and heading out into the wastes.

Sarah shook off the last of her sleep and proceeded after Anders,Arefu it sounds familiar but Sarah could'nt place so she focused on any trials ahead and keeping up with Lieutenant Anders.
