"Yaaaaaa--" Jack glomped the mercenary then jumped nimbly away to spin around a bit, "--aaaaaaaaay! Two for one deal! Here you go Rey~!" The doctor quickly dug out two bottles--more than enough for right now and surplus to let the fighter have his own stash for a while--and gave them to Reynold. "Now you go rest, shed your skin, or whatever boring stuff it is you do all by yourself! No drinking though! Pain pills and the native fermented alcohol could to weeeeird things to your brain! Now shoo, shoo! I've got stuff to look at!" Jack was waving his hands at the larger, stronger, and more lethal male like a nurse maid would do to a small child late for bed, before turning towards the cage and looking in with fascination, meat all but forgotten in one hand. "Oh, breakfast!" Jack said loudly, then tossed the meal in through the bars, sitting down and just ... staring. Mentally noting how the odd, dragon-thing's body moved and such.

"You know Dru, they've got to believe you're intelligent now. Only smart things have pets. Unless, this dragon creature eats mites from your fur and hair. Then ... that's not a pet, but a creature in a mutual relationship ... but I degrees."
Jack pulled out a capped bottle, before opening it up and pouring some of the liquid out into the deer's empty metal bowl in demonstration. "Water. Waaaateeeer. Eeeer. Waaaa. Teeeeer."

Reynold growled when he was glomped. Weird a** scientist. He took the pills, looking at them for a second, before he was shooed away. Aw, no drinking. He shook his head then was out the building. Droka calmed down when that large reptilian creature was gone.

Droka sighed before petted Spark's head to calm him down. It was then that the bag of food was tossed into the cage. Droka grabbed it, Spark eagerly sniffing at it. It had been a while since he had eaten as well.. As Jack spoke, Droka and Spark shared the cooked meat. Droka looked up to see the man pouring water into the deer's bowl. He was trying to teach him another word, huh? Droka pursed his lips. "W... Waa... Waa... ttt... wat... tteer... watr..water... Water.."

Jack clapped his hands, pushing the bowl back into the deer's cage. "Good, good Dru! Good boy! Though ... how to teach you other tricks quickly ..." He sighed to himself, pondering. Commands would be a good thing to teach. But he doubted it would be 'safe' to get into the cage with the alien and physically force him to move to show him what each command meant (like one would a pup) so he decided to save that for another day, just teaching the other a few more nouns. Bag, clothes, yes, no, and such. The basics, trying to see how long the other's attention span would last on the subject. Then, Jack tested Droka in the words he already knew, holding up meat bits, his bag, and such.

Droka cocked his head to the side when Jack clapped. He scratched Spark under his chin, the reptile now full of food. Spark relaxed on the ground as he was petted, purring a bit. He may have looked off his guard but he could go from cute to vicious within a second. Droka listened as Jack taught him more of this strange language. He was a very quick learner. He was very determined to make peace between his people and these aliens. He knew it wouldn't be that easy but so far, it was.

Jack was dangerously curious of the dragon-creature that was now more than clearly a pet of Droka's, but kept his curiosity in check. Only barely though. As a scientist, teaching words to another--even a fast learner--eventually grew boring. He decided that giving the bat-cat a look over would be more fun. The biggest problem was the creature's hostility though ...

Jack had a way around that.

"Hey, batty-batty-thing~" the scientist cooed at the cocooned creature hanging at one end of its cage, ignoring him. Perfect. Jack quietly shuffled around in his bag ...and pulled out a gun. Loaded only with tranquilizer darts of course, but who was to know the difference between human weapons? The red head carefully aimed, taking his time. he bat wasn't a moving target, and he wasn't the best shot so he would be careful.

With a quiet sound close to a small 'pop' he hit the bat right on the lower back; a good spot for tranquilizers to be injected without worry of hitting anything vital. The night flier, predictably, let out a shocked yowl, flapping awkwardly (beacause of it's extra weight) around the cage before settling down. Jack just waited patiently for the drugs to work.

The cat ended up sprawled oddly on the ground, large eyes blinking slowly, and Jack opened the door to the cage with a key-card, walking over to the creature and carefully feeling the structure of its muscles, bones, and wings. He grinned, gingerly probing the rounded stomach. "Oh yes ... little batty in there, I'm sure!"

When Jack left Droka alone, the prince decided to pet Spark a little. He wished he could go outside. He hated being locked up for this long. He was a wild animal, so to speak. He needed to run around. Droka was snapped from his thoughts when he heard the yowl, looking to the cage the Flapper was in. What just happened? Droka wasn't really sure but the little animal soon went limp on the floor. He looked curiously at the doctor. "Poor little Flapper," he said, speaking his own language of course. Spark, being curious as well, slipped through the bars of Droka's cage and went into the Flapper's cage, climbing up the bars to the top, looking at the doctor from above.

Jack looked up a moment, then chuckled as he went back to inspecting the night flier's body structure. Or, as much of it as he could with his hands. Dissecting would come later. "Curious little fellow, aren't you? Be careful ... curiosity killed the cat," the red head addressed Sparks. He was not scared of the little dragon. True, he probably should've been, but Jack ... really didn't seem to have the same level of 'self preservation' as most human beings; a bit like Reynold. Though, the doctor did like his skin in one piece. It was just that the possibility of a new discovery had him quite excited right now. So many new things to tinker with ...

"I really do wish I knew what you were saying ..." Jack grumbled, meaning Droka's language. "Perhaps I could learn later. After we can properly communicate first." Jack proded and poked the drugged-up flapper a bit more before standing up, having removed the dart as well. The creature would be immobile for around a half-hour more (but no more than that, because Jack didn't want the soon-to-be-spawned young affected), so the doctor scooped the flapper up, deciding x-rays and such were in order. "Alright you two ..." Jack said slowly, looking up at the dragon, then at Droka. "You be good while I'm gone." He moved to head out, taking his back and the flapper with him.
