Shurami's Dorm

Eric put and arm around her, stroking her back gently.
"Want to talk to me about it?" he asked.

Shurami shook her head slowly, holding to him a bit tighter.
"Not now." She said softly, nuzzling her face to his chest.

Eric smiled lightly, still stroking her hair.
"Very well.." he smiled, kissing her head lightly.

Shurami just remained holding to him, not daring to close her eyes again.

Eric stroked her back gently looking down at her with a comforting smile.
"Afraid to sleep because of the nightmare, dearest?" he asked quietly.

Shurami's eyes softened, but still held sorrow as she nodded once in response.

Eric leaned down to her ear, holding her tight.
"Don't worry, I'll protect you.." he whispered, kissing her head softly with a smile.

Shurami gave only the slightest smile, but didn't look at him.
"Do you have any other choice?" She asked softly, holding his hand that held the demon's hex.

Eric looked down at her smiling.
"Maybe not, though I'll do it because I want to..."

Shurami looked up at him after a moment, her expression unchanged.
"Really...?" She asked in a soft tone.

Eric nodded, leaned down and kissed her lips lightly and slowly pulled away after a while.
"Yes.." he said softly.

Shurami laid her head back on his chest as she faced downward again.
"I don't want to sleep again." She said. "You can't protect me from the past."

Eric stroked her back gently.
"I can try...but if that's what you want.." he said. "What do you wish to do then, other than sleeping?" he asked with a smile.

Shurami was silent a moment before sitting up.
"I want to go for a walk." She said blankly. "And I wish for you to come with me."

Eric got up as well offering his hand to her.
"Very well.." he smiled.
