A while ago I saw the episode where that really nice guy dies, and it is so sad!!
The guy who has the little girl and carried around a picture of her everywhere, shoving it in peoples faces. That guy!
I just stared at the tv for a moment and then went, "NOOOOOO!!!!!!"
It was so sad! crying

I know, right?? I was so sad when Lt. Cnl. Maes Hughes died, because what about his family?!? are they going to be okay? I felt so bad for his wife and daughter Alicia (spelling?). She's only 3! sad ((((

Me too...that'd be a heartbreaker. But I don't think Gracia would let that happen; she'd probably keep lots of pictures and stuff around.

Hughes was one of my favorite characters

it wouldn't have been as tragic if he wasn't so kind and goofy. he kept Mustang's human side alive....

ah, yes, that episode........it's truly tragic..........i cried during the funeral part........i kept thinking, "you know what would absolutely tragic? if Ed and Al went back to Central before they knew that he was dead, went to the graveyard and find Hughes' grave. That would be extremely tramatising for them"

As horrific a moment it was, it gave the story more depth. I find it much more realistic that the good guy dies first. He went in head first, in order to help, and suffered the consequence as a "warning" to the others. It also shows just how much control the homunculi have had over humanity since entering this world, and just how intricate their monitoring abilities are. I loved Hughes, and was deeply hurt when he was killed off, but I do believe he died nobley. RIP

i know crying I squealed (in sadness) when i saw that and my mother and brother looked at me like i was completely insane. I know people who have cried and i came quite close.
