Okay, then so it's a change of guard in terms of authority IC. So you guys chat that out in maybe less strong words, and settle whats to be done. (or what it might look like) when Tao-gets back. I wanna see use keep it light in here, and remember we're all in the same village until we're not.

With the issue at hand, you could at least assume it was with good intention on Azeiel's part for wanting to incite some feeling of community or better said communicating his intent to try and slide use newbs into the mix with his own RPC. Having power to do it on a large scale or not it's still not a bad thing. Eventually I'll get to meet all of you in RP (whenever I get my profile down), so let just chat a bit out here.

It's been awhile for me but I was a part of this guild and it's crew before, and I vaguely remember you Lan. What have you been up to in terms of other guilds or just general life?

Azy, common you didn't have to say all that out here. Tensions are high and claiming you could but won't slay a character never brews well. it just landslides into something... well else. I'd take the olive branch approach and just talk it out later like you wanted to. Keep it light men, just keep it light. I character I get the psychology of what you're saying, and this all can be pretty easily pulled together if we all just push our concerns back a bit and speak without too much thought of our personal interest in how things play in OC/Pm's/ chats etc.

I asked for things to be spoken here instead of pms because, quite simply, we've had issues in the past with "he said-she said" situations where messages were hidden in pms or IMs. So if this discussion was to occur it should be here where the guild requires us to be polite, instead of hostile in secret where it is difficult to prove what was said if something got deleted by accident.

Anyway, I was here to try to ensure people being polite, that's all. And reaper, I am currently working on a more hardcore survival Naruto guild that's set in the future of this one and allows people to bring back old characters, alive or dead, though with special requirements. Otherwise working full time as a manager so time is always tight with me, but I'm still posting. How about you?

So you guys wanted to do a public "peer mediation". You know it would be smoother logistically to just make a thread for the talk in the misc. sub-forum so you guys don't have the conversation tacked onto and just let it play out in conversation with Tao and Azeiel ( the main two it seems to be about). It's public but not an open forum, just something for the issue to be dealt with in a civil manner.

Also yeah I've been working part time and working on getting a second job or a better city job with benefits and etc. Right now I'm just working a a Barista. Haven't started my RP here again yet but i've be constructing and editing my weapons and tools due to my class as a puppeteer and my personal attributes.

Staying i the vain of my usual goal in Rp'ing I'm trying to create something new and unique that's intimidating/interesting while staying under the umbrella of the rules.

I agree with Azeiel, with the fact that you shouldn't just think people are going to trust your character as a kage just because you were given the position. Things OC and IC are very different, and in a world where there's a war going on ( or about to anyways ) and in the most critical moment the person who was in charge for the longest just suddenly gives up their position to a person who has much less experience... people are gonna doubt what you say for a decent amount of time unless you made a huge impact as a hero in the village. Things are gonna happen, people are going to try to do their own stuff; it's not rebellious, it's how people act when the power is shifted so suddenly with one persons say so. The change of Raikage wasn't a democracy thing, it was a "hey I think you might be good enough, here", which means other people are going to have an opinion on who they think would be better for the spot. In the absence of a kage, it's pretty clear in the series at least that high ranking officials from ANBU-Jounin are allowed to make decisions they think are best for the people that they are in control of. Jounin are basically generals, after all. I think people forget this is a Military we're role playing in and not a hierarchy.

I also believe that both Azeiel and Tao should calm their butts down with both the direct and passive aggressiveness. Nothing is solved through anger. If you think it's impossible to currently discuss what's going on without blowing up, then step away from the computer, take a break.

Nothing will be solved by being mad, it'll just make things worse. Take a deep breath.

I do however disagree that this stuff should be in public chat where EVERYONE can see. It discourages and scares away potential members. :/

All agreeable points of view, but lets not go jumping to sides here it's all up to them to talk it out. Though all around understood a cool head is better. =D

Also introductions, the reaper formally known as Elyse. Don't think we've met before.
Also on the public thing it's a pro's versus con's fr me thing where if conducted well it might have the opposite effect in showing their maturity and management skills just in personal position on a subject. Though things can swing the other way easily.

The issue was never one of trust. Even Kaileer doesn't expect people to just trust him. No, the issue was of respect. You do not disrespect your military superior in fro t of everyone and act like you run the place if you don't trust someone. As you said, it is a military. And in military, even if you don't trust a person of higher rank, you do not disrespect them in front of everyone and dismiss them as being nothing. One of two things happens. The officer is going to back down, showing themselves As being unable to deal with the authority they were given, or they are going to show themselves as unwilling to deal with that s**t. Which, instead of beating his a** , banishing, or killing him, she is doing the politically sound option and stripping him of authority until such a time as they deal with their personal bullshit face to face.

the only reason I mention this is not to start a fight, so please do not jump on it as a continuation, but to give a clarity of events. I do not wish people to confuse this as a trust issue, as that was never the problem. But the level of respect for a Kage is assumed by office. Respect your enemy, even as you plan their downfall, if you plan at all.

I do agree that hostility needed to stop. This turned into a spitting match, a one sided one as Tao has basically stayed out of this the entire time. So far As I can tell I'm the only one of the two of us paying attention to this. But either way, hostility needs to stop on all sides and people need to communicate without all this aggression. And besides, this should be an in character situation, not a out of character one.

For the record, Tao isn't mad at Myurai. She really isn't. Kaileer is the one angry. And Kaileer has anger problems to rival Myurai's problems with pride and arrogance.

Now, as far as future events, I, nor she, cares if it's done without npcs. If you guys are planning to get together and train, that's fine. But if an npc is required you nee to talk to Tao and get her okay, because the npcs of a village are under her control. For the most part, she will likely let you do npcs by yourself, but thaT still requires you to talk to her.

As in my case. I'm planning an attack arc to get stuff started, but she will not let me till I plan everything out and she looks at it and oKay's it. No matter that it would help, she wants to see it so she knows what is going to happen (the gist of it, as I cannot obviously predict what you guys are going to do.)

Oh, reaper, we have a strong puppet user in Kiri. As Kumo is an ally we could try to have him train you, too!

Kinda crappy it all escalated to this though I have to say with the way things were stated it did sound like she was angry, but maybe that's just the way she talks? I dunno, I don't know tao. I do have to say that being brash about things probably didn't make it better.

Also on a side note we're going in to a new arc? This should be fun. I shall sit in my writers corner and pray I don't get Akarui killed before she gets to Chuunin. xD
