1 ) Get home, get crowbar and keys, drive to a hardware store, get supplies; then go to a sporting goods store and get paintball armor, a metal baseball bat or hockey stick, killing zombies along the way.
2 ) Drive to girlfriends house, pick her up, go down to San Diego (I live in Orange County, not far from LA). Get to the Marine base at Camp Pendleton and acquire armor, weapons, and a Super Stallion helicopter for rescuing survivors.
3 ) Bring survivors from my town back to Pendleton and train them for combat, recruiting standard Marines along the way.
4 ) Form a "mercenary" band from the survivors to rescue people and kill the zombies.
5 )Regain contact with Washington, if possible. If not, attempt to regain contact with any military command to coordinate resistance against the zombies.
6 ) Fly up to Hollywood to see if Bill Murray is still alive, rescue him for kicks. Make him the prime entertainment and morale keeper for the merc company.
7 ) Attempt to get hired by the standing U.S. government to hunt and rescue, being paid in food, water, ammo, and fuel for the helicopter.
8 ) If employment fails, continue anyway, scavenging supplies (mentioned in step seven) from cities and towns we pass through.
9 ) Clear a sweeping pattern around Pendleton outwards in a more or less spiral pattern moving west. After reaching the Rockies, sweep north and disable roads and other entrances west to prevent more zombies from reinforcing the remaining zombies on the West Coast.
10 ) Head back down the coast to Pendleton, hunting zombies and building supply caches.
11 )Attempt to retake the entire West Coast from the zombies, then attempt to build a zombie-proof passage across the Great Plains to the East Coast to reconnect with the government and the rest of the military. Also build branches on the passageway to other military bases and fortifications.
12 ) Ascertain the location of my little sister, bring her to safety if she isn't already a zombie (which I doubt; she's a higher Undead, like me, meaning we are immortal and immune to the zombie infection).
I'll probably come up with some more steps, but that is the basic outline for my resistance plan.
