I'm worried about my friend

So the being "informed" thread I posted reminded me of a friend. She is always showing me conspiracy theory videos! I'm worried. Every time I go over there she has another one (or 5).

She even thinks that her phone is being used to monitor her. She go so far as to remove the phone from the room during conversations. Before she talks about anything she asks if I have my phone with me.

I don't really know what to do. Should I just ask her to stop? I think it is putting a strain on our friendship. I don't mind watching the videos but I don't believe most of the things that they say. She does and she expects me to believe them too.

First off...she sounds MASSIVELY paranoid.
If I was you...I'd sit her down and tell her that you don't believe in what she does and that her being so freakishly paranoid is putting a strain on your relationship and you are worried about her. And if she continues to do it...maybe time away from her is the best thing. I mean really, that is uncalled for.

I'm trying to take a more passive approach and get her out more often. I think that part of the problem is that she NEVER goes out. Ever. She just sits at home watching and reading things on the internet. Yes, her hubby is there but he doesn't disagree when she tells him these things. I don't know if he believes them or if he doesn't want to piss her off by telling her that that is retarded. (My hubby would tell me that it is the most retarded thing he ever heard, I love him.)

well maybe getting out will help her. she should be careful, letting the internet run her life could ruin her marriage

hmmm....how far does her belief go. like other then her removing the phone and being fixated on these videos and things on the internet. cause honestly...after living in a house with a damn psychologists my whole life...it sounds to me like paranoid schitzophrenia....though it could just be extreme paranioa if she isn't hearing voices, seeing things, etc. you should not just sit down and talk with her, make her husband do the same, and pay attention to what she's sayin'...that could help you really solve this.
