Alexandre was looking through the cabinets intently. Then she noticed that JiStar hadn't seemed to move yet and turned around. The other approached her and she looked at him, confused. Then she suddenly found herself being pulled close to the other and gently kissed. She was stunned for a good moment before she gently pushed for the other to let him go. "J-JiStar?"

Elzario shook his head. "No. Those are my current clothes." He laid down and closed his eyes. "Um...yeah. That's why I said it's one-sided." He opened his eyes again to look at Cole. "Fine. We'll have you and Erik measured later for some better fitting clothes..." He closed his eyes again.

JiStar immediatly let go and stepped back. Did he do it wrong? "I...I...ummm....You see...." he stuttered. His face was turning red with embarrassment. He looked worried and a little scared too. Then he sighed and knelt. "Forgive me. I can...explain. Would you please sit down?" he asked.

Cole blinked at him. He smiled though. "I'll get you their number or do you already have it? And.....I just graduated I think... So university would be good. I graduated early," he said. He nodded. The memories just fell into place like he had always been human. Then he blinked. "I'm hungry. I won't get your clothes dirty, but I'm going to go out and get something to eat while you sleep. I'll take Erik to if you want, but he's napping. He might cry," he said.

The new human started looking around for a coat and some shows. Then he left the room. He went down the elevator and out of the building onto the streets.

Alexandre was confused as to the other's actions. It was so sudden...it made her think something was wrong. She became even more worried as JiStar knelt upon the ground. She had to sit down or else her confusion might overwhelm her. "JiStar...are you...going away?"

Elzario shook his head. "I don't have their number. University? I'll handle it. I don't care about the clothes. Food? I think my sis is cooking something... Unh? Eric? He''l be fine. Leave him here..."

JiStar blinked and looked up at her in alarm. "No! I don't want to at least...Ummm If you want I could go.... Just let me explain!" he said. The Star ran a hand through is hair. How to say this? "You see... I have raised you. I have watched you grow into the woman you are now," he said. He stopped and his eyes softened as he looked at her. He stood and walked over to her. Leaning on the table, he took her hand.

"You are amazing Alexandre. And I have come...to care grately for you. I have hidden it, but you are grown now. So I will tell you," he said. He swallowed nervously and knelt, head bowed to her. "May I court you?" he asked softly.

Cole didn't go far. Just the next ally over. He would stay her until Elzario wasn't mad at him any more. Maybe he had been wrong. Maybe he should have let Elzario and Erik fall for one another. He shivered as he sat in the snow with his knees drawn up to his chest. He had his forhead pressed to the top of his knees and his arms around his head. He was cold. This was new. He had never felt cold before. People passed by, but when they saw him they walked quicker, thinking he was a homeless person.

Erik woke up a few minutes later. He was hungry. Dressed in an oversized shirt, he crawled off the bed and toddled to the kitchen. There he peaked in. When he spotted Alexandre and JiStar he grinned, but got the feeling he shouldn't go in yet. So he just stood there and watched.

Alexandre was even more confused when JiStar looked up in alarm. "So...you're not leaving...then?" She tilted her head to the side before up-righting herself to listen. She could tell JiStar was nervous...but about what? She listened to his short tale of how she was raised by him into the woman she is today and... "W-What? Really? You...you..." She raised a hand to cover her mouth. "You want to...court me?" So then...he wasn't ignoring me? Than that means-!? "Of course you can, JiStar!" She smiled and walked over to the other. "You may court me, JiStar." She then gave the other a hug.

Elzario took a moment to realize that Erik was gone. "Huh? Erik?" He got up and walked out of his room, only to find Erik standing in the middle of the open. "Erik...what are you doing- ...oh." He looked into the kitchen to find JiStar and Alexandre embracing. "... ..."

JiStar didn't realize he was braced for rejection until he was hugged by her. He blinked and then smiled. He hugged the girl back. He was glad he wasn't rejected. "I'm glad!" he said.

Then he realized they had an audience. He looked over Alexandre's head at her brother. "Greetings, Elzario. I wish to court your sister," he said. He was his normal self again now that he had Alexandre's approval. He was calm and cool.

Erik looked up at Elzario and tugged on his pant leg. "Nuuuu...Num num now?" he asked. He spoke in baby talk mostly. He was asking for food.

Alexandre sighed, happy that her live-long wish had finally come true. Now, she just needed her brother's approval. Though, she blushed at the sudden audience. "Oh...Rio..."

Elzario stared at the pair for a moment, then sighed. "If I say no, my sis'll cry. And it's not like you won't do her right, so... Besides, it's not like you really need my approval, but...oh well. You may court my sister. Ah..." He gave JiStar a serious. "...you better not make her cry. I'll make you regret it."

He looked down at Erik. "Right, food... Um... Crap, didn't Cole..." He stopped and pinched the bridge of his nose. "That idiot..." He walked to his room to grab a coat, then went looking for Cole. Since he was wearing a sleeping kimono, throwing a jacket over it wouldn't look too weird.

Outside, he managed to catch up to Cole. "Y'know...you're human now. So you CAN freeze and catch a cold like that."

JiStar had the grace to keep his amusement off his face. He instead nodded at the other. "I'll keep that in mind. Thank you Elzario," he said. His eyes shone. That fact that he wasn't actually human hidden just below his paper body.

He looked back down at Alexandre. "Now then, let's make a meal shall we?" he asked. He let go over her and went to was his hands.

Erik looked around with confusion. Big people were weird.... He toddled over to Alexandre and JiStar. He tugged on Alexandre's clothes. " Erik help-bah!" he said, smiling widely.

Cole flinched a little at the sound of Elzario's voice. He covered his head more. He was shivering, and pale like when he was found. His butt was so cold it was numb. "I have learned this," he said. He sneaked a peek up at the other, just to see his expression.

Alexandre smiled, laughing lightly. "Thank you, Rio! Oh, thank you!" She gave JiStar one last hug before getting back to making breakfast. "Yes, everyone needs to eat."

Alexandre then looked down as Erik tugged on her clothes. "That's cute, Erik. Okay, here, help me by doing this." She handed the boy a cup of milk. "Drink this until the last drop is gone. You'll grow big and strong."

Elzario wasn't angry though, just concerned. "Forget eating, you need to take a hot bath... It doesn't look like your body can withstand this cold any longer..." He knelt down. "...can you at least stand...or should I carry you?"

Erik grinned broadly until he was given a cup of milk. He didn't question Alexandre though. Instead he toddled over to the table and sat under it. There he started drinking his milk while he watched the two adults' feet move around. He didn't understand how this would help, but he would do it if it did!

Shivering, Cole catiously looked up. " I ca-an't feel..... m-my butt. H-H-elp me ...up....I th-h-hink I c-can wal-k-k," he said. He slowly reached out his hands, unwilling to let the cold air touch his body.

Alexandre found enough ingredients to scrounge together some breakfast. With JiStar's contribution, she soon had the kitchen filled with the smell of a promising breakfast.

Elzario stared at Cole for a moment, then helped him to his feet. "You...have more presence now. Before...you felt so light, but now...I can 'feel' you in the realm more than before..." He looked down at Cole's hands before taking them into his own. "The winters here are harsh if you're not careful. Come, I'll settle the thing with your parents later. Right now...I'm more concerned about you catching a cold or, skies forbid, a fever..."

Cole shivered and immediatly moved closer to Elzario. "Warm..." he mumbled. He had been really stupid. He 'knew' winter was cold and 'knew' that he should be careful because of the cold. But it was like book smarts, no experience, only facts half understood at times. Now he had experience to back the 'book smarts'. "I-I see th-at. Or-r feel...." he said. He sneezed. He didn't want to add 'first day sick' to his first day of being human. "Be-ing hum-m-man's h-hard," he said, shivering easing a little as he huddled close to Elzario. His clothes were damp, especially his rear.

JiStar set the table so it was ready for breakfast to be served. And then he got hot tea going because had the feeling Elzario and Cole would need it. "You were easily accepting of my sudden advance," he stated simply all of a sudden. "Why?" he asked curiously. He looked at Alexandre.

Elzario smiled a bit more and started guiding him back to the building. "Being human...has never been easy. We endure hardships that no other species even has to think about. But it is these same hardships that allow us to grow stronger...and change." As he walked, he removed his jacket and put it around Cole. I am used to the cold, huh. But I always thank care of those more important first." He then fell silent as he realized what he said.

Alexandre finished cooking and started loading the plates with proper servings for everyone. But as she set down JiStar's plate, she heard his question and stopped where she stood. "..." She blushed a bit, taking a breath before looking at JiStar. "I have...for a long...always looked up to JiStar..." She blushed a bit more and looked at the table. "...more than just a teacher..."

Cole was looking at his feet, being careful to put one numb foot in front of the other. Of course they were being stared at. And Cole wished he could make himself and Elzario invisible to human eyes. Elzario's coat made it a little better and he snuggled into it. "Th-ank y-you," he said. His cold flushed cheeks darkened a little.

When they finally made it back, Cole sat on the floor and huddled under Elzario's coat. He started rubbing his feet to get the feeling back in them.

JiStar blinked at her sudden shyness. Once she explained, a slow smile spread across his face. "I am pleased. Here I thought I would have to wait a while more and explain how I feel to you," he said. A little old fashioned, but then not.

He looked to the door way when he heard the elevator come up. "Ah. It looks like the children are home," he said. He chuckled and grabbed Cole's cup. " Good thing this is ready already," he said. He carried a cup of hot tea to the shivering and wet new human. Cole accepted it gratefully and after burning himself a few times in his eagerness to get something warm in him he drank it slowly.

Even when they made it back, Elzario didn't leave Cole alone in the entrance way. Rather, he stayed with him, rubbing his shoulders as he sat there. "You don't have to thank me. I'm just...doing what I want..." He looked up when JiStar came in with some hot tea. "Ah, good idea JiStar. Thanks."

He watched, albeit a bit worriedly, as Cole burnt his tongue a few times before finally being able to drink the warm liquid. "How do you feel now, Cole?"
