Mine's retarded.

Quote:
It is pronounced "KARIINA". (Consonants are pronounced more or less the same way as in English. "A" sounds like a in father, but shorter. "I" sounds like ee in meet, but shorter. Double vowels like "II" are held for twice the duration of single vowels.)

And I though Carina(Cahreena) was bad.

I'm taking Japanese right now 3nodding It's not hard to figure out how your name will be in Japanese really since they only convert it into their own way (easiest to pronounce to them) using the Kata alphabet. For example, if your name has "ca", they will change it to "ka" since that is actually an alphabet character. So if you have "la", they change it to "ra" since that sound is between the "r" and the "l". And you get double letter when you want to emphasize a sound. Like with the first example, "Lance", you have "la" changing to "ra", the "n" is one character by itself, but since you want "lan" and not just "la-n", you add another "a" sound in between. At the end, any silence sound like "ce" part, 70% times it will be replace with "su", also a character. Does this help any? eek Or if you don't want to read, i'll translate for ya rofl
