[Kyle ; Sora : Halloween Town : Sewers]

Kyle had been somewhere between the front and middle throughout the hike, keeping up with Jack with relative ease (long legs had their advantages). However, he didn't really say too much. He was too busy introspecting, testing his emotional limits over and over. He thought of things that would make him angry- he was angry. He thought of things that would make him laugh- he made an audible chuckle. It was like he was addicted to his own feelings, never getting quite enough.

Just making up for lost time, I suppose.

When they jumped down into the waterway, Kyle managed to do so without much of a hassle, landing easily and just continuing after Jack and Noelle. It was no secret that Halloween Town was to Noelle as Ivalice was to Kyle. However, he never quite let her out of his sights, ducking into the sewers and stopping at the same point. He created a Starlight sphere as a light source, just in case it got too dark.

A lot of conversation was going on about what to do, all of which Kyle had to force himself to pay attention to. Multiple doors, multiple levels... it reeked of the insect amalgam. There was no real way to tell which way was the right way, but splitting up was almost a definite no. The team had already lost half of their members in the split, separating further... they needed to work together.

"There's always a way, otherwise it wouldn't be there," Sora said, scratching his head in thought as he glanced up. "It wouldn't make sense to be there unless it could be reac-."

"Noelle, what if you made some pillars to raise us up there?" Kyle blurted out, completely cutting Sora off (and not having heard the Batman comment). "You made one easily a hundred feet when we were training, so this shouldn't me much of a problem. The only issue is the stability of the sewers themselves..."

[Emperor ; ??? : LoD : Throne Room]

The Emperor listened... and his face seemed to harden, as some of the children began to whisper amongst themselves. Some of them bowed completely, while others only gave half-bows and still others didn't bow at all. Normally, he was not one for such formalities to begin with... but the disorder of it all, along with the whispering...

"It is as I warned you, my lord- by allowing them to live, they retrieved an army," came a deep voice from behind the throne; a voice many, if not all of the Earthlings, would immediately recognize. The Middle-Eastern accent was as big a giveaway as the appearance of the man himself as he stepped out from behind the throne. In one hand, he carried a golden snake scepter, its ruby eyes pointing toward the Emperor himself.

He was dressed in black and red. He was easily 6 foot tall. He had a very small but noticeable black goatee.

Jafar had become the Emperor's Consult.

"Each of them possesses enough magical power to take out a portion of your army by themselves," Jafar seethed, glaring at the Earthlings with a sinister smirk. "It is as we feared- they wish to dethrone you, my lord!"

"Guards!" the Emperor shouted, standing upright, his eyes revealing his fury. The guards immediately shut the doors behind the group, sealing out Yuffie and any others who'd decided to stay outside. As if that wasn't enough, Jafar erected a magical barrier, sealing everyone inside and keeping anyone not already here, out.

"Go, Emperor!" Jafar warned, allowing the ruler to slip through the barrier as the guards began to attack each of them. There were easily 15 guards in the room as it was, each with a weapon of their own.

[Kuja : HT/BC : Outside the Train]

There was a small burst of light, and in the moment that it had come and gone, Kuja had appeared just outside the train, leaning against it and frowning as he stared off into the distance. Though his arms were crosses, three white spheres appeared and began to go in a triangle formation in front of him, as if to keep him amused, or perhaps for some other purpose.

[Kyla: LoD: Throne Room]

Well, she bowed, kept her mouth shut, and even put on a friendly face when she wasn’t looking into her sketch book, but apparently it wasn't enough to please the old man.
Kyla watched with inner apprehension as things spiraled down from- not so good- to- Not very good at all- to- oh SH** JAFAR?!!

DIDN'T THEY HANDLE HIM IN AGRABAH?!!

~From what miniscule rock did that snake crawl out from?!!~ She heard Tyue demand in the back recesses of her mind.
Kyla for one was almost speechless.
Completely and utterly blown away! How the hell-
And then all hell broke loose!
The doors shut in on them, and the guards made the charge, armed with her armor and swords.

'Oh hell no!'

Kyla would have called after the Emperor- but it was obvious he wasn't in a listening mood and already beyond ear shot. Fine, she’d fight, or should she? Either way it wasn’t going to be easy.
The sound of pages falling forward and furious scribbling was precursor to what she manifested first. Unlike other fights Kyla knew she had to be careful. These men were NOT heartless, they were people. People following orders that they believe is right, to protect their beloved ruler. She had no beef with them.
So she wasn't going to kill ANYONE if she could help it.
First, to bewilder them and give the others an advantage, Kyla erected walls- simple thick walls that appeared right in front of their assailants when they charged. Close enough- quickly enough- they would collide right into them hopefully, and catch them off balance.

"Back off! We do not want to fight with you!" she warned.

Then, flipping one page back, she focused on supporting their own group, Kyla's quill finished up Warding Lotus, and the protection/ Shell combo was cast upon their party which she selected easily by circling their cameo in her previous illustrations.

"This is a fight that's not worth it!"

Now, if they could just subdue, or stop them- without spilling blood, that could be the next trick. And she was a pictomancer, not a doc- er, not a miracle worker.

[Maggie - LOD - Throne Room ]

Maggie's cheeks became flustered, a grumbling force in her stomach had given her a pre warning that something wasn't right. As the villain revealed himself, she left out a gasp of disbelief. Terrified and enraged at the same time, Maggie could only supress her movement until she was told otherwise, god knows if she were too slip up now they would pay the price.

The brawlers hands were moist and clammy from the seconds of incomprehensible fear she was feeling. 's**t! Jafar!? This isn't good, he may have this whole place under his thumb.' And wouldn't you guessed it, he did.

Maggie grinded her heels to get herself into a sturdy stance and awaited the aproach of the manical wizard.

"Sir, we are not you're enemys!" She bellowed in a hushed tone, although it seemed her words fell on deaf ears.

[Beatrix - Throne Room]

"Madness!" Beatrix interjected, sidestepping herway threw the children in order to be beside the gunblade weilder. "You're majesty, surely you can see what we are not here too harm you. Can we not settle this matter, peacefully?" She suggested, lowering her tone so that it wasn't as to sound as hostile or peeved as a few seconds ago. The man had already crossed the plane and so her words may have been closed off.

[Axel: LoD: Throne Room]
And so the sh** hit the fan. The other shoe dropped, the cat came out of the bag- yah know- all those wonderful expressions that mean they were right.
And now what? Fight? Not fight? Plead their case? This wasn’t a freakin court room!
The guards were already charging, and while Beatrix protested this action, some people were already pudding up their dukes.
Obstacles appeared out of thin air and blocked off the main assault. Axel heard a satisfying smacking sound as the first line of guards did a face plant, the others moving around and a little confused as to how that happened.
So was he actually, and he looked around for the source of this magic, seeing it was the bookworm who was following beside Fearless Leader. Her book was glowing with pictures she drew and apparently brought to life!

Namine?

For a second, he could see the ghost of the former picture witch, who used her own images in a very different way. This method held an uncanny resemblance and he was sure if he was able to, he’d be feeling pretty weirded out about.

Time to dance.

Thrusting his hands outwards to his sides, the Flurry of Dancing Flames summoned his Chakrams and got into a good stance, but he didn’t make the first move. This fights were tricky, and he had to remind himself ‘ I’m NOT the bad gut this time’, so it was best to follow Leons lead first. Still, if any guards got within arm’s reach he wasn’t beyond smacking them away.
Axel step out and around the group, keeping the kids behind him, which he was sure Cloud would probably be doing the same form his side.

[John.:LoD:.Throne Room]

Upon seeing Jafar, the reality of the situation hit John like a rock. Nevermind, rock: Boulder, yes boulder would be a good way to describe the object that metaphorically smacked into him. Jafar was Jafar and that was all he needed to know. Therefore, it was no longer a sense of right or wrong in this fight. They were in the right, and because the guards were being completely manipulated indirectly by Jafar, they would stop at nothing to have the group killed.

Seeing the walls around him, John's heart sank. As much as he thought that fighting was never the solution, the situation was inevitable.

"Kyla dear... I hate to break it to you, but we're kind of stuck. The guys outside these walls want to kill us, and there is nothing that we can do to stop that. The emperor ordered them to... and it's pretty much inevitable." he said softly.

John raised his hammer in the air above his head with both of his hands and spread his legs for better support.

"Thick skin", he shouted.

Immediately, John's defenses rose slightly. He did this as he did not expect to use much magic against the guards. The only thing he needed was a large splatter attack to at least harm most of them.

[Mulan & Mushu : LoD : Throne Room]

"Not good!" Mushu shouted from where he was on Mulan's shoulder. The dragon shook as he watched the guards approach.

Mulan watched in both shock and horror as the guards in the room came towards them. Her hand was on her sword, but she was hesitant to draw it. These men were her people, she couldn't fight them out of fear of hurting them. Out of the corner of her eye, Mulan saw the unknown man lead the Emperor out of the room.

"Your Majesty!" she shouted as she ran after them, knocking her guardian off of her shoulder.

Mushu shook his head where he landed on the ground and looked towards where Mulan had ran.

"Mulan!" the dragon quickly got up to ran as fast as his little legs would go.

Mulan's path was quickly blocked by three of the guards with swords drawn. Mushu had caught up with her and took a place on her shoulders once more.

"This cannot be..." she whispered sadly.

"Pull yourself together girl," Mushu told her as a couple of the guards attacked Mulan.

Mulan, given no other choice, drew her sword to parry the attacks and knock back her attackers.

[Jafar : LoD : Throne Room]

With the Emperor now gone, Jafar turned to smirk at the children and their allies. Yes, he remembered them from the desert, but these- these were mostly new faces. Not that it mattered- with his near-cosmic powers, nothing could touch him.

"Their magics will not help them defeat our Emperor!" Jafar shouted, pointing his staff at Kyla's walls, and without even an incantation, a beam of electricity shot out of the snake's eyes and shattered the walls surrounding the party, allowing the guards to continue with their attack.

[[So it's come to my attention I didn't make this obvious. I will be controlling the guards in this fight. Because of the wall, however, you each get to start attacking instead of allowing them the first attack. ]]

((Okay, apparently I was vague/wrote something wrong and I apologize now for it. The three pipes that are up really high are not in the ceiling. They're on the wall at the top corner where the wall and ceiling meet. Sorry if I've mislead anyone. XD))

[HT ~ Sewers]

Noelle looked around at the chamber and thought for a moment. Structural integrity was important for this place because of the risk of any sort of cave in. If it were an underground cavern made by herself then there wouldn't be an issue, but it wasn't. The earth weilder stepped close to a wall and placed her hand on it. It looked slimy but really wasn't, the stone was just grainy and brittle.

"Eh, I wouldn't give the structural integrity of this place a snowball's chance in hell . . . we're going to have to find a different--"

A rumbling sound almost like a large belch bubbled up from the bowels of the sewers through the groundlevel tunnels. Noelle froze and looked towards them. A jolt of fear coursed through her. She had the urge to jump, skip back, and hide behind Al, but held her ground. Another rumble came but it sounded more like an earthquake and a crash than a wet burp. The agromancer looked back behind them at the tunnel where they had entered. A solid wall of steel had closed off the tunnel, leaving them no way out. Now would be a good time to hide behind Al . . .

"s**t . . . Guys this is not good."

Well no s**t, Sherlock.

The bubbling sounds started up again and began to get louder. As mere seconds passed the bubbling turned into the swishing of water. What followed next was exactly that. The three ground level tunnels began spewing water and within ten seconds they were all knee deep.

"Let's hope everyone can swim!"

[Joseph: HT: Sewer]

Of course, Joe was frowning a little at the tunnels when Rio shot down his idea. Good reason, though. They really didn't know what they'd be finding--

"Oh, my, god. Nasty." That was all he could say in the presence of the...cavern belch. Of course, with the steel door slamming shut behind him, he got a sudden dreadful feeling. One thing after another, it seemed. Then, when the water started rushing towards them, he let out a few swears mixed into a groan.

"Why in the world did I have to be right about THIS?"

A full body shudder rippled through him, and Joe thought about what kind of water it was, and that they were probably going to end up swimming in it. "Yeah, swim, great...ew."

[Kyle ; Sora : HT : Sewers]

"Grossgrossgrossgross ZEBA!" Kyle shouted, turning to find the young girl. He immediately reached out and grabbed the girl's hand, holding onto it tightly so as to keep her close. Protective instincts had dictated that- next on the list-

"Jenny!" he shouted, looking for her. She should have been relatively close, so when he spotted her, he reached out his hand, hoping for her to grab it when she heard him.

"Alright, guys, we need to pick a pipe and try and all go for it!" he shouted, looking to the others. "We don't need to split up! Anybody have a preference?"

[John.:LoD:.Throne Room]

John saw the walls come down and did not hesitate. As it would take more time for him to attack than the others, he seized the opportunity and hoped to scatter the guards.

He hopped forward as if he were to throw a long baseball and with all his might smashed his war hammer on the ground, destroying the tiles on the palace floor and making small bolts of electricity shoot out at the surrounding guards. This attack would be used to hopefully scatter the guards so that they could be taken out one at a time.

Halloween Town | Waterway | The Sewers :.

"Kyle!" she replied, reaching for his hand. Her heel slipped over the gunk that the sewer water had been depositing over the years, building into a very inconvenient layer of slime.
Thankfully, she was pulled out of the aqueous filth by the Holy Knight's firm grasp. "I jinxed it... I JINXED IT!!!" she exclaimed frantically, looking up at him. Did every damn thing in this world have to abide by movie-definitions?

Suddenly jerked her foot out of the water as something slimy and furry scraped against her leg, she lost her balance and fell back in. Grabbing Kyle's hand with both of hers, she lifted herself up and almost retched because of how disgusting she felt.

"Um um um um um um um," she repeated over and over, her nerves hindering her processing ability as her thoughts scattered all over the place. You could almost see them go. "K-kyle, could you send a light up each of them? J-j-j-jo! Could you could you se-FEEL the... the... AIR! The air in them? Just to give us a a a a, uh, a, uh, rough idea of what the hell's ahead in each? Maybe your su-Sylph could help??" she suggested, blinking and pausing several times mid-speech as her thoughts caught up to the here and now.
She started to consider hauling an energy ball down each of them, though she daren't risk damaging the pipes. She didn't even know if they'd emit much light, if any.

[Dawn : HT : Sewers]

Dawn blinked hearing the first of the bubbling from behind her. It sounded kind of like a fart to her, or at least something of the sort.

"It wasn't me..." she defended herself as she turned to look at the tunnel that she was still standing in front of, "Oh crap!"

She felt her heart pounding in her chest as the water poured in. Dawn instinctively moved to the closest wall to her, by the tunnel door. Despite her effort in the fast moving water and on slippery floor, she slipped and fell to her knees into the water, getting her chest deep into the icky sewage.

"Yuck," she complained while she reached over to the wall, using it as a brace as she stood to her feet once more and leaned back against it. She closed her eyes as she tried to gather herself.
