{Leon and General Li Shang : Land of Dragons : Throne Room}

Leon still stood at the head of the group, his focus not leaving the emperor, nor would his gunblade leave his shoulder. He had expected the Emperor to react this way to all of the other kids that they had to bring back with them but it couldn't be helped. He did not seem to react as he heard whispering coming from behind him from one of the kids, though he was definitely annoyed by it. His focus though remained on the emperor.

"What Mulan said is exactly right. We had no other choice, Riku would not come on his own because he made a promise to the King."

Shang was also not surprised at the Emperor's reaction, at least the way that was right now. He could tell something was definitely wrong with the Emperor he served. He was not acting like the usually kind and wise old man he usually was. Sure the emperor had always been protective of his country but not to this extreme. Regardless though he respected the man far too much to speak out of turn to him.

He turned his attention to group of kids as he heard them whispering. He would not say anything but hoped that his stern look would be enough. This wasn't the time or place to be whispering anything, it was disrespectful to the Emperor and wouldn't help the situation right now.

{Kyle(II) : Land of Dragons : Throne Room}

Following the others through the area, he got quiet after he started to climb the stairs that led to the throne room. There was a certain...gravity...to meeting the emperor. Here was a man who was revered as one chosen by Heaven, who ruled by the Mandate of Heaven. He was literally considered the Son of Heaven. He was the ruler of the largest nation in Asia. He had an incredible army under his control. All other leaders of the nations around China would have made journeys to see him. It silenced him quite effectively.

When he finally got into the room and saw the emperor, he had to resist the temptation to bow to the man. He felt that it would be proper courtesy, but he saw none of the others doing it. So, instead of a full bow, he just closed his eyes and inclined his head for several seconds. That would have to do.

After his little bow, he moved towards the front of the group, wanting to be able to clearly hear the emperor.

[John.:Land of the Dragons:.Throne Room]

With the stern looks from the several different members of the group, John simply looked back and stayed quiet. His antics were merely from his lack of understanding of the situation. He realized what he did was wrong, at some level, but at the same time, his reasoning for it were so many different factors.

The main one, which would never be perceived by the others, was a sense of hatred toward the Chinese government in general. His own knowledge told him that their situation as a country was inevitable as "the golden hoard" would eventually crush the Chinese like a grape. They were weak, but how much did that really apply to the current situation?

John immediately regretted saying what he did only for the well-being of the group around him. There, of course, would always be a feeling that he would be better off dead than with them, but this thought would wear off eventually...

There was no way to take it back either.

God... people can suck it...

[Maggie - LOD - Throne Room]

Maggie gave him a soft, reasurring pat on his shoulder, she understood his frustration, Emperors did come off as greedy although saying such things in a palace would be considered Treason. Besides, with all the death stares being launched toward John, particualrly one by Shang that she unpleasently caught wind of, Maggie descided too support him.
'What? We're not allowed to speak open mindedly now?' Her mind tank uttered, before she could pubically voice her 'opinion', Gilgamesh swiftly interjcted.

[HT ~ Waterway --> The Sewers]

"I have no idea what he did with the water," Jack told Aldrick, "But I'm sure we'll soon find out! Come on, let's get in there before Oogie does anything with the enchantress."

Jack jumped down into the small ravine (which was more like a step than a real jump) and headed towards the end with the busted gate where water would normally be flowing through. He ducked into the much smaller tunnel and disappeared into the darkness.

Noelle followed after the Pumpkin King after a moment's hesitation. The jump was much bigger for her. She dropped down without too much trouble and didn't even have to duck as she entered the tunnel. The advantages of being short.

Jack lead them into a large chamber with three tunnels branching off from it. The agromancer looked around and listened to her footsteps echo off the high stone walls. They were stained green from the water that used to be flowing through but was no longer there.

Jack frowned and put a skeletal hand to his chin. "Hmm . . . there wasn't three open doors here before, I could only pass through one of them. That entrance took me to an area above where Oogie's set up was, so that's not the one we want . . . but which one do we want?"

Halloween Town | Waterway | The Sewers :.

"W-what do you mean there weren't three before, Jack?" Zeba asked, confused and just a teensy bit (well, maybe a good deal) grossed out at the fact that she was creeping through old smelly moldy sewers that were full of rats and dirt and bugs and fil-BUGS. "Are you sure this is the right one?" she asked, fighting the urge to extend a hand towards the curved slimy wall for support. "Could this be a trap? OH GOD you don't think that dirty rabid sewer water will start gushing through like they do in the movies??" she exclaimed, her worries escaping before she could snatch them back in.

Things were too dark. FAR too dark. And darkness isn't good; well, it's not so much the lack of light as it is what it could be hiding. And by golly, in the world of Kingdom Hearts, the darkness can hide damn near anything.

{James : Halloween Town : Waterway -> Sewers}

James nodded his head as he jumped down into the ravine that was the waterway. He was used to jumping in terms of stairs and distances so it wasn't a big deal to him. He then followed the Pumpkin King into the sewers... Still not a big deal minus the fact due to his height the shadow corsair had to crouch down slightly for comfort's sake due to the low ceiling. He was yet again thankful for the soft glow that came from the fang on the butt of his hexagun as it helped illuminate the dark tunnel they were in slightly as he made his way forward. He stopped behind Noelle looking at the three tunnels. His hexagun being held upward kind of like a tonberry holding a lantern.

"So... Pick a tunnel any tunnel?"

He asked looking yet again at the three doors, A slight shiver running down his spine. No where near as bad as it usually was in terms of the feeling, but it was still a tell tale sign that Oogie Boogie was definitely nearby. Not that there was any doubt about that to begin with.

{Auron : Halloween Town : Waterway -> Sewers}

Auron leaped down into the empty waterway as well and followed suit into the sewer. Due to his height and size he too had to crouch down slightly to make it through the tunnel. As he stepped out into the lit chamber where the others stood he looked at the tunnels

"Don't let your guard down. This is definitely some kind of trap."

[Dawn : HT : Waterway -> Sewers]

Dawn followed Jack, Noelle and the others into the sewers. She, being taller than the other girls of the group, she too had to duck her head to walk through the tunnel. Happy for James's gun had converted itself into a lantern, or Dawn would of been falling over in this cramped space.

She tilted her head to the side as she caught up with the group, she heard Jack's confusion on the doors she paused, and pointed to the doors, in an any minney miney mow motion with them.

"Pick one at random?" she thought out loud as her finger landed on the door on the far left, "Can't be that hard...."

Dawn, being the airhead she was, started taking slow deliberate steps towards that door, never minding Auron's warning of a trap. She stopped in the doorway, and turned to the others when she noticed no one following.

"Come on," she said, "what are you guys waiting for?"

[Jenny :: HT : Waterway -> Sewers]

The time mage shivered, it could have just been the feel of Halloween Town but the dried up waterway gave her the chills. She definitely shared Zeba's worries about the sewer. The darkness was unsettling on her mind and she desperately wanted to hold someone's hand to remind her that she wasn't alone. Unless, the hand could magically vaporize in her grip... Don't go down that thinking path Jenny... you're gonna freak yourself out.

Instead, she tried to focus on the reality she could grasp, like the smell. Jenny wrinkled her nose, at least when she was scared the fear plugged her nose. A dim light then touched her pupils and she squinted for a brief second before looking around. Maybe things weren't so bad in the dark? Yeah, there was the possibility she could slip to her death and the fact that there could be monsters... but at least she didn't have to see the nasty, green goop that coated the walls. Jenny hung back, hesitant despite Dawn's bold approach towards a door.

((Sorry that I forgot to say this, I thought it was implied but I guess I'm bad at predicting things, but don't go through any of the tunnels, that's not where we're going; >__O. This will all be fixed in this post, though; XD))

[HT ~ Sewers]

Noelle didn't move for any of the doors; she wanted to be a little more cautious than that. There was a very dim lightsource in the chamber besides James' hexagun, but she couldn't place where it was coming from. It could hardly be noticed until one looked at the tunnels and saw that they were darker somehow. Noelle looked around to see what she could find and paused.

"Wait! Dawn, don't go down the tunnels!" She exclaimed, looking up towards the ceiling and pointing, "Look there! There's three more tunnels and there's light coming from them. It's a trick. I don't think we have to go through the three down down here but the ones up there. But . . . how do we get up there?"

"Hmm, yes. I think she's right." Jack murmured, "I have a feeling that no matter which tunnel we take down here it's just going to leave us cut off from where we want to be or lead us to nowhere, like the one I took earlier."

The tunnels had to be twenty to thirty feet up the grimy wall, there was no way that getting there was going to be easy. Jack was probably at least nine feet tall and getting up there would be impossible for even him. The agromancer stumbled backwards through the little light to get a better look into the slightly glowing tunnels.

"There has to be a way in there . . ."

((Earthlings in Halloween Town, please note: Make sure your character is in the sewer chamber, or tell me that I should assume that he/she is in there, BEFORE I post again. If you don't your character will be left behind. Kthxbai.))

[Dawn : HT : Sewers]

"Huh?" she blinked as she walked over to Noelle and looked up, "Weird."

Her eyes narrowed as she worked them to try and make out the tunnels better.

"So if where we got to go is up there... how do we get up there?" she thought out loud.

[Joseph: HT: Sewers]

The male followed everyone, muttering slightly, but mostly nonsensical things like 'bugs' and 'feces' and 'trap'.

Of course, once finding out about the higher tunnels, Joseph looked up, judging the height.

"Well...Air has lifting capabilities, so...if anyone wants to be the first experiment of an air cannon or the like..." The step forward was left unsaid, butt was still pretty understood. Heck, it was the only way Joe thought they'd actually make it up to that height.

Halloween Town | Waterway | The Sewers :.

"Air cannon?" she repeated skeptically, raising a brow. "Uhh.... Hmmm.... That -may- not be the best idea," she chuckled half-heartedly, but she twisted her head to send the airbender an appreciative smile that was visible, even in the dim light, thanks to the contrast between her white face and obsidian lips. If it weren't so shady and icky and smelly up there, she might've offered to go herself.

"There isn't enough room to summon Val... But even in saying that, would... I don't think it's too safe to send a single person up there alone. Who knows what might be waiting for them," she shuddered, wrapping her gloved hands around her pale shoulders.

[Jenny :: HT : Sewers]

"Yeah, we definitely shouldn't split up... who knows what mess that has always landed us in." Jenny echoed Rio's sentiments, sending a scout to find Oogie's lair was undoubtedly a formula for unwanted trouble. The time mage looked around the sewers, her mind drawing a blank about any possibilities they could take. "I wish Kyle dressed up at Batman instead, maybe it would have come with a grappling hook." Jenny said wistfully, though even with a hook, they'd end up against the nasty looking wall. Siren was a smaller than Valefor, maybe she could fly up to go take a look around?

"Don't you dare volunteer me. I am NOT flying up in such revolting, nauseating conditions!" Siren seethed, before Jenny could even propose the idea. The flutist winced a little, even the rustling of her summon's silk sounded angry. "Okay... okay, I get it."

Halloween Town | Waterway | The Sewers :.

Despite the otherwise revolting conditions in which she was in, Jenny's remark was enough to send her off in a fit of laughter. "Kyle dressed up as Batman, HAHAHAHAHAHA!" she roared, leaning forward and clutching her stomach. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAOWICAN'TBREATHEICAN'TBREATHE!" she despaired, though her laughter never faltered.
